Our condo building suffered from a main water line leakage on December 3rd, 2018. Our insurance is through SGI and DDIY was hired through them to do the tear down, moisture testing and restoration work. I don't even know where to begin here... Things started out well enough; good communication, workers showed up on time, ect. Then we started finding things like drywall mudding splattered all over our kitchen sink, cabinets and walls. We needed new drywall in our stairway leading to upstairs where the stairs were finished in carpet. Not once was any type of floor protection used (SGIs work order specifically requested that they use flooring protection.) resulting in multiple stains. It was attempted to be cleaned, but the stains where still there and we were forced to pay out of pocket for an entire new carpet as DDIY denied it was their fault. Very poor paint and drywall work. Pin holes can be seen all over with dust and hair in the paint strokes. They overlooked patching a massive hole in our laundry room where the plumbers had to cut to check for leaks. The paint used was the wrong luster, so paint strokes stand out and look unfinished. Re texture of the cieling was ok aside from a big finger print swipe let by the entryway light fixture. They were called back to fix these mistakes and didnt show up to do so until weeks after the "walk through" by the owner and a phone call from the flooring company telling me they claimed to be "all done" with our unit. The "fixes" made were not complete. The drywall patch in the laundry room was left unfinished; and after a few days of hearing nothing from DDIY I had to sand, poly fill and paint it myself. From my experience with these guys; please just do it yourself or call one of the many other options out there to get it done right the first time.

DDIY has been my number 1 go to. I first hired them to do my roof. They were priced well and very professional. I had them install basement windows for me the following year. They look great and I've save significant amounts of money on my heating bill. This summer we had them build our fence. They works so hard. Had it done quickly and it looks beautiful. I would recommend them above anyone to work on my property!

They built the cement pad for my new garage. My old cement pad was very cracked and broken. They took it out with a skid steer. They built the forms, put in the rebar and poured and polished the cement. There was a lot of pride in the work that they do. My new floor is solid and it will last even if my new garage gets burned down.

Average work if you do not know anything about painting. Ceiling re-texture was well done, but lack of attention to details leaves a lot to be desired. Could pay more attention to cleaning up. Would not hire again or recommend. The more I look around the house their work is sub par. Very disappointed.. one star is to much.

Highly recommended Dave and his team for all your construction needs, big or small. Ddiy were tasked with completing our basement suite in our new home. They were given a really tight deadline to get it complete and even with delays with the building permit (all my delays) they still got it complete a week before the deadline and the suite was complete to an exceptional standard.. it was a pleasure having them here every day, especially Mat and Tamara, the Ddiy couple.. those two were even here Christmas Eve making sure they stayed on top of things. We will certainly be calling on Ddiy for any future work we might need.
