Ottawa Gatineau Painting did a great job on the house they are clean professional and job was superb i was just a bit disappointed because they said it would take 1 day and ended up having to come back the following day for 2h to finish so i had to take another day off from work.

I had Ottawa Gatineau Painting paint the exterior of my home. The following is my experience: -Damaged my property. They damaged my roof. -Didn't take responsibility for their damage. Although Guillaume (the owner) was nice when we first met, Guillaume got aggressive with me when I talked about the damage to my house and he didn't take responsibility although his crew had been the only ones on my roof. -Never received an updated receipt. -Crew members are very loud, lots of constant shouting. It was embarrassing. -Generally disorganized and poor planning. Examples: I had to provide some tools for them to do the job; They miscalculated the amount of paint needed for the job. -Didn't finish painting my fascia because it was 'too hard' and required 'too many' coats (although I was ready to pay them for their time). -Left a mess with my garden water hose and hose nozzle: paint all over it and damaged. -Cleaned their brushes and rollers in my plants. -Many paint dribbles on my exterior flagstone front steps and walkway. The dribbles won't come off now and it looks ugly. This could have been 100% prevented if they had either been careful and not dribbled on my flagstone walkway and steps or cleaned off the dribbles with water. -Crew members were nice. -The Sico paint they use is a good exterior paint that is working well for me so far. I would not recommend them. My experience was not a good one. IN RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: Salut Guillaume, First things first, I’m not angry with you, you’re not important enough for that. What I am is very dissatisfied with this project. I would also suggest that you do not post all your dirty laundry online. Regarding my damaged roof, in your last communication with me, you stated that you would borrow equipment from your roofer friend and you would complete the flat roofing repair by yourself (although you told me that you had never installed flat roofing before). In the review response, you are now saying you would have come with your roofer friend to complete the job. You are altering the facts. More importantly, you now accuse me of trying to gain financially from it (which doesn’t make sense). To make this clear, you were the only ones on the roof that could have caused this damage and your initial response to me was: “I’m starting to see that there is someone who is trying to convince you that we are responsible for all the problems of your house, and that is starting to bother me.” It is more than clear by your responses and lack of ownership; these issues will never be resolved. You continue to not take responsibility and seem to like drama. I’m sorry that I every requested your services. I have better things to do with my time than to continue these conversations.

His team came in and did a really great job in a super efficient timeframe. Excellent work, fair pricing by a clean and efficient crew. Highly recommend Guillaume and his team.
