Our "new to us" 3 bedroom, 3 bath bungaloft needed complete interior repainting including walls, ceilings, closets, doors and trim. Sarj consulted with us on colours and recommendations and arranged to start the job very quickly. Curtis, one of the team, was extremely careful in protecting the premises and was highly skilled and meticulous in applying the coatings. Sarje and Cad joined him on the scaffolding when it came time to paint the Great room as well as replace the ceiling fan. The end result was extremely impressive and flawless. We love our new home and would highly recommend Thumbs Up Painting and Renovating. Great job guys, it was a pleasure working with you.

Thumbs Down! They USED to be great! They have pictures of a job they did for me on their Facebook page over a year ago and the work was good. Now they have taken on more projects than they can handle and instead of communicating and letting customers know that they do not have time to complete what they started, they just keep giving false hope that they will finish. I gave them two extra months to finish and barely anything has been done in that time. The bathroom (the only bathroom in the house!) that they said was 9-days work still isn't complete, and the work they did do has to be fixed because the plumbing rough-in is wrong (see picture - the bathroom faucet is to be wall-mounted so the valve should have been installed and the water connected in the wall before the blue board was done). Note the dates on the texts and this review is posted October 7. They will argue there was a delay and that is true, there was a delay - but that was in May and after that they still reassured me they would be done July 31, and then August 31 and then Sept 30. I gave up finally because it has to be completed this month and they were still lying to my face. BEWARE!!!!!!!!

We hired Thumbs Up for a large project, to complete our unfinished basement. We were promised completion within 6 weeks, which initially seemed unlikely to me, but the guys delivered on their word. They worked tirelessly 6 days a week, showing up at the agreed upon time (8am) and often leaving at 8pm. They were easy to have in the house...polite, respectful and very kind to our animals. The drywall work is flawless - after a really thorough priming and two coats of quality paint, there is not a seam or any imperfections visible. The bathroom tile work, both around the shower insert and on the floor, has been installed beautifully. The laminate laid in the office looks wonderful, too. We are very pleased with the completed job. It was a big project, but Sarj followed through on his promise of the time frame. He kept in touch with us throughout the work, always available to speak to us about any issues that arose. His final walk through/inspection with us was thorough and not rushed. It was evident that he takes pride in the work his crew has done for us. Thumbs Up delivered a quality product, completed on time. I'm sure that the crew would have worked even longer days had it been required, to honour their word. That's the sort of young men they are. We're looking forward to a full house at Christmas. We took the option of having the work completed off hours so we could continue with regular operatons. They were very accomidating with helping us keep open during the work, and their daily clean up was exceptional, leaving us no extra work to do before we open. All wrok was completed to scope, plus as concers were found from underlying problems, they helped us with the option to fix. Resulting in a fabulous finished project. All Thumbs up staff were very curtious and professional from initial quote to finish product we couldn't have been any happier! We would highly recommend Thumbs up for any project!!

Love these guys. Just moved into the Brighton area and needed our new house painted. After getting a number of quotes we chose Thumbs Up and after the job was completed we knew chose well. The quote process was the most complete and professional one we received. Sarj laid out in great detail in the contract what would be included. They were also very cost competitive with the other quotes. He also recommended a colour (Crushed Ice) based on our requirements that was bang on to what we wanted. The guys who painted our house did an amazing job. The house looks great and the workmanship is immaculate. We have since booked them again for painting the basement as well as doing some remodeling on our basement stairs. Everyone we dealt with at Thumbs Up were friendly, trustworthy and extremely helpful. A very professional company.
