Hired CertaPro to do textured ceiling repair. There is a big "line" where the repair ends - so it doesn't look very good or blend in with existing ceiling. The workers also marred my bath tub - not sure how - perhaps the sprayer pump got hot and was setting against it - but there is a big black area (that was definitely not there before work was performed) on the outside of the bath tub that will not wash off. So I am very unhappy about that. All this redecorating work I am doing to have a beautiful bathroom will forever be tainted by this huge ugly spot on the outside of my tub. Plus, they were supposed to protect my floors, but they did a very poor job of that as well. A lot of difficult clean up was required. Finally, they charged $450 for the work, and two workers were on-site for less than an hour. So assuming they used $50 in materials (doubtful!) - I paid $200 an hour. That seems pretty steep. I recommend looking elsewhere.

Before I share my negatives, I’d like to share the one positive thing that I’ve experienced with this company. The paint job looks amazing! Jose’s crew did a great job with painting my living and dining room. Short explanation: Jim did my initial estimate, & questioned whether or not I could afford to pay for what I wanted done. The communication from Jim was terrible from beginning to end and the workers were late to the job and unprepared. Long explanation: Now on to the negatives. Jim was the person who can put to do my estimate for what I wanted done. To make a long story short, it seemed like he was overly concerned about how much I could afford to pay for what I was requesting as he kept mentioning how the job would be VERY expensive and how I should possibly wait until I save up more money to pay for everything, although I have been saving for a while to specifically get certain things updated in the house. I let this go and tried not to think too much into his condescending comments. We came to an agreement on getting a price quote for my living room, dining room and bedroom. He said he would get his prices together and email a quote to me. I did not hear from him for 2 weeks. I didn’t feel that this was very professional to make someone wait two weeks before giving them a price quote but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of all the raving reviews here on google. We ended up scheduling a time for his guys to come out to paint. Jim said Jose would call me to confirm that date, and I never got a confirmation call or text. The day that they were supposed to come paint, they didn’t show up on time and I had to call their office after waiting 20 mins passed their show time to see if they were still coming. They ended up showing up 40 minutes late. When the crew arrived, they didn’t have any paint purchased and also didn’t have the correct paint color that I had let Jim know I wanted, so I guess that message wasn’t relayed either. They had to confirm the paint color after arriving 40mins late and then had to leave to go to Home Depot to purchase the paint, which took about 30-40 minutes to do. When they got to a part of one of my walls the plaster chipped and ended up making one long crack in the wall so they had to repair that. It was going to take a few hours to dry so the guys told me they would have to come back to finish painting, and the guys boss would call me to let me know when they would be back. Once again, I got no call, so I called them on the next business day to follow up and low and behold, they were coming out that same day to fix the work. So overall, throughout this whole experience the communication between them and myself was terrible. If you don’t mind having to constantly follow up with someone to get work done then go with another company. I’m surprised they have as many great reviews as they do because I did not have a favorable experience.

While selling my house they were able to give me a timely quote AND a timely response which is pretty hard to do with contractors right now as you may know. They were able to recommend some fixes and additions, and when I came back to them for a second time for some additional painting, they were both timely and great quality on that as well. If you're in the Fairview Heights area and you need quality painting done, these are the people to go to. Highly recommended, would 100% pick them again!

Jose and his team have done a great job. They took great care to protect the flooring and trim, made sure to have us check everything for any touch ups, were professional and prompt, also they had a very dusty, dirty job of removing texture on all of the kitchen walls. The kitchen turned out unbelievably well and the crew was great in their attention to detail with this. All of the plastic in the world couldn’t have kept all of the dust contained, but they made an admirable effort. I’d hire them again in an instant. Thanks, Jim, Jose and crew!

Jim was knowledgeable and gave some great advice during the quoting appointment. The painting crew was very professional, helpful, punctual and communicative. Tony consistently checked in with me and when I needed touch ups or for some spots that didn't get fully painted to be painted), he made sure to get them taken care of as soon as was possible for him and his crew or me. The job was done quickly and well for the most part. I did need some touch ups of areas that were missed but they quickly took care of it.

I can't say enough good things about CertaPro of Belleville. They were quick with an estimate and to begin when the contract was signed. Kevin and crew were very meticulous on painting the details on the house (in particular the rose wrought iron). They were professional, fast, and protected the surrounding plantings. Great job. Absolutely Pleased with the Job done painting our Oak Kitchen Cabinets! Jimmy (Owner) was very thorough explaining the whole Job and all it would entail on both ends. Very Knowledgeable about this very "Specialized" Painting Process. He made us feel comfortable with the final decision to let THEM paint our Oak Cabinets. (instead of MUCH More Costly Replacing or Re-Facing) No Shortcuts taken on this painstakingly labor intensive job. (Cleaning, Hand and Electric Sanding, more cleaning, primer, 2 coats of paint, etc) Only Used the Finest Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel. Turned out Great! And the Totally Professional Crew of Ivan and Oswaldo was as picky as We were! Ivan explained all steps and processes along the way. Very Helpful! Very Diligent! Absolutely Recommend!

Painting portion of job looks nice. Attention to detail very dissatisfied. Showed workers several nail pops, imperfections/nicks on walls. Told workers there were numerous other nail pops/imperfections, to please survey ceiling and walls and correct all. I was paying extra for this service, the only nail pops/imperfections fixed were the ones I pointed out. Contract agreed upon was for a specific brand of paint, workers brought and used cheaper paint brand for ceilings that did not match nearby ceiling not being painted. Only after having owner look at job did they agree to repaint with agreed upon brand. Job that should have taken 2 days, took 8 days. After initial 2 days of work, finishing my painting job was no longer a priority, workers showing up at residence anywhere from 5-6:30 pm to work

They had taken aliitle longer with the job then expected, but I am glad they did. The extra time they spent to repair walls and match up with existing texturing was done just short of flawless. I had them repair a line in my textured ceiling as well, and you can’t even tell where the repair was done. I would call them again for a future job.
