My husband is a man of few words. “Powell Painting is a High Quality Operation.” I could not agree more, but want to elaborate. We survived the teen and school-age years much better than the interior of our house did. It was well overdue for a refresh 13 years after the last painting and our designer recommend Powell to tackle 2700 square feet up and down plus a 35 year-old popcorn stucco ceiling. I have to start with the ceiling (they did). It got planed and sanded, the HepaVac creating minimal dust with the crew painstakingly protecting all the floors, sealing doors and tidying up at the end of every day. Honestly such a worthwhile difference when it was done. Tanja the owner is very particular (more picky than I!) and has so much experience and good ideas, such as how to improve the worn look of our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. With a thorough knowledge of the best way to do things, best materials and best referrals (trades), she also offered great advice on colour and design. Her quote was comprehensive and accurate. Our painter (a drywall expert to boot) was easy to get along with, punctual, reliable, and so hard-working. On time and on Budget, everything was put back in order just as before. And the follow-up! Every detail attended to, they noticed little things to amend that we wouldn’t have and ensured our absolute satisfaction. This company is truly Professional - Open, Honest, Fair, Considerate, Courteous, Friendly, Detail-Oriented, Careful and Precise. You cannot do better, stop looking.

The Powel painting company under name of Tanja was the introduced by our builder as a most high end company and accordingly estimated the highest prices . After finishing the job and all invoices paid and cleared . When We moved in our new house we faced several unfinished / insufficients in painting as well. We sent email and she came accepted and took photos of all defects and promised to arrange sending his worker to fix the paintings . One week later to much of our surprize she claimed 2 invoices never seen and incorrect . We never expect such irresponsibility in the business. We all family are unhappy and having a bad feeling to see such cases while we have paid very expensive prices for painting and in total .

She followed up with the most detailed quote of all we received. Fantastic experience. I came to Powell Painting after a couple of other companies said they couldn't do a "small job" right now (single room) - as they were too busy and it wasn't big enough. No such response from Powell. They were right on it! They hooked me up with a great designer, named Sasa, we picked colours (beautiful accent wall!) and the job got done in no time. Jess did a great job of the painting and was pleasant to work with - a real pro. The best part is that they ended up charging me even less than the quoted (reasonable) price, as it didn't take as long as they anticipated, nor as much paint. Fantastic! I will definitely be back!

Our experience with Powell has been terrific. When we decided to repaint our house after many years we solicited four quotes; two from student painting organizations and two from well-reviewed local professionals. Powell was neither the most expensive nor the least but they were the most thorough, professional, organized and responsive (thanks Kara!). Excellent. We had the exterior painted two years ago. I lucked into Tanja hanging out at the Westview Benjamin Moore. Although pricier than other painters I've used, you get what you pay for in this case. And, she stuck to the schedule and budget. Did not need to be micromanaged. Picked colours far greater than I could have picked on my own. In my experience, new trades find a reason to critique the work of your past trades. My exterior paint is in fact complimented by other Trades! That says it all to me. And, that in two years I have not found a drip or a chip etc. A few communication hiccups, but I'd take those ten fold now I know how hard it is to even get other trades to show up once they have your money!

We recently had our condo painted, from the ceilings to the floors, by Powell Painting and are extremely pleased with the work that was done. The owner, Tanja Powell, is a delight to work with. She was one of several painters who came to provide a quote for our project. When she left we were certain she was the one we were going to hire since our instincts told us that she could be trusted. We were impressed by her attention to detail and her obvious love of transforming a dated residence into one that is modern and bright. During her walk through she noticed things that needed to be addressed that the others had not. Her quote was the most detailed of all the quotes we received and it left no doubt about exactly what services would be provided and the costs involved. There were no "hidden costs" when we paid the final bill. Our instincts about trusting Tanja were correct. Tanja was very helpful to us in deciding on a colour pallet. She came 3 times with paint samples and it was only after seeing them on the walls under different light conditions that we were able to make the final choice. She did pressure us to make a quick decision but rather let us have the time we needed to make sure we were happy with our choice. After seeing the newly painted bathrooms we decided to have the cabinets painted too and Tanja had no problem adding that to the workload of the crew and still ensured that the job was done in a timely manner. The crew, led by Ron, were professional, polite and as detailed oriented as Tanja. They were very accommodating to us and our schedule and made the inconvenience of our residence being in turmoil as stress free as possible. We selected Powell for the exterior paint job on our townhouse … two buildings, nine units. The buildings are stucco, it was the trim, fascia, patio and fence lattice that they attended to … not an easy job. Much of the lattice needed repair or replacement … Powell recommended a carpenter (Herron Homes) for the job … a solid recommendation. Powell organized pressure washing, Powell called in a colour consultant, Sasha from Benjamin Moore (N. Van) whose ideas were very constructive. Powell’s bid was not the lowest or the highest. We went with them as we were comforted by the preparation, product and warrantee outlined. They kept scheduling commitments, We were very pleased with the quality of their work and the way they went about it. They responded quickly to the deficiencies at the end of the job. Powell painting did a great job painting my condo. They were always very professional and chose the perfect colour given my finishings and furniture. I was especially impressed with their idea and ability to paint my kitchen back splash. This great idea saved me thousands of dollars as I planned on replacing backsplash. The peace of mind having them in my home while I was not there is invaluable. Everything was taped properly and the hard wood floors and carpets were covered with plastic and paper before they started painting. It was also very helpful of them to be available to let the appliance delivery people to get in the unit. Once done a walk through was done and they were quick to come back and handle a few minor deficiencies. Overall I am very pleased with Powell Painting.
