I have seen the turquoise Holloway van around my neighborhood and when I decided to have my apartment professionally painted instead of doing it myself, I called them. Steve arranged to come for an estimate at a time that suited me, and explained everything clearly. The project manager Johnny showed up the day of the job to walk me through the process and introduce me to the painters. He stayed in touch with me throughout . The painters did an excellent job! My apartment had not been painted in 20 years and had wallpaper in 4 of the rooms. This was removed and the apartment looks so bright and fresh! In 5 short words, The Holloway Team was exceptional! We had no intention of painting our house this summer. It was simply on the to-do list. But when we saw the work Holloway performed on our neighbors house we decided to get a quote. Robbie, the proprietor of Holloway painting, was the one who came to provide the quote. He was very professional, had tons of experience, great references, and perhaps most importantly, he was sincere and put our needs above his sale objective. Fast talking, glint in his eyes, Robbie was all about quoting the job we wanted. And whether we had decided to go ahead or not, he made it very clear that he was just thankful for the opportunity to meet us and quote on the job. And while Holloway is more of a high-end Painting company, in the end, we decided to go ahead. Within a few weeks, a spot opened up and one of Robbie's crew showed up to start the job. I had heard good things about their professionalism and work ethic, but to meet the team was a whole different experience. Not only were they professional, they were extremely knowledgable, were able to provide guidance when my wife and I just were't sure which direction to go, and they all had good hearts. Sure they were dressed in uniform, never cussed, cleaned up after their jobs each day, but it was their genuine care, attention to detail, and strive to make us happy that made them stand out. It is almost akin to having the perfect waiter at a restaurant: Someone who can anticipate when you need them, surprises you by giving you something you wanted even before you asked for it, knows when to be invisible, but is at your side before you can turn your head to ask them a question or engage them in conversation...from start to finish. We had the pleasure of having Nick and Lynn as our main crew members...two of the nicest guys you will ever meet. When I doubted the colors, my wife kept saying, just ask Nick....just ask Lynn. And every time, they were right....even with the red door. At the end of the two weeks, my wife and I were left with an incredible paint job, making our drab house sparkle, the trust we gave Robbie and the crew paid off ten-fold, and we were both feeling very happy with our decision to select Holloway Painting as our company of choice. I called Rob at Holloway painting thinking it would be impossible to have what needed to be done in the time I had. Well I was wrong! Not only did he do an amazing job on all the walls and trim, but he went above and beyond. He hung new blinds, installed a coat rack, installed a kick plate in my door and I just found out he replaced my door hinges when I didn't even ask him to. This is a family run business and you can tell Steve and his bother take pride in their name and their work. Mindi our project manager was excellent, knowledgeable, accessible and very friendly. Aryn the office manager was on top of the schedule and updates every Friday with her emails and phone calls which we much appreciated. The crew, Naj and Husein and their other guy worked so well together. These guys showed up on time every day, worked efficiently and expertly and did the job in record time! Robbie Holloway and his team really came through for us on a very tight schedule. We knew the house we were moving into needed some work, but it wasn’t until we received possession did we realize just how awful the condition of the walls were. Needless to say, our plan to paint ourselves was quickly thrown out the window. Having picked up Steve Holloway’s card (Robbie’s brother) at the BC Home and Garden Show, I gave him a bit of a frantic call and an onsite visit was quickly arranged. Steve was very honest in his assessment of the scope of work needed to get the house into shape but was very reassuring they could get the job done in the short timeframe we had to work with. The onsite team lead by Amanda worked at our place for approximately a week and did a fantastic job. Everyone was professional, courteous and listened to our concerns along the way. Robbie frequently checked in with us to see how things were going and suggested other services we didn’t necessarily think of ourselves (e.g. window blind cleaning). At no point did we feel pressured to move forward with these additional services, but the fact Robbie went the extra mile was certainly appreciated. When we initially met with Steve, he had mentioned that a good paint job would go a long way in restoring the house and I’d say without question, the Holloway team delivered. We’re really pleased with the way the job turned out and felt a lot more comfortable when we moved in. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Holloway Painting to anyone else who’s in a bind. Again, the flexibility on their end, overall professionalism and attention to detail was very much appreciated. We’ll definitely be using Holloway Painting again in the future. A few weeks ago, Robbie Holloway stopped to talk to my husband and introduce himself. The reason for his visit was that he noticed the three vinyl panels that were replaced after a wind storms 16 months ago were still not repainted to match the rest of the house. His proposal was for us to buy matching paint and he would do the job... no charge. Robbie came back on the appointed day but the colour of the paint did not match tyhe rest of the house. We found a painter on Craigslist who seemed reputable, so we hired him to paint some closets, our master bedroom, and our ceiling. He cancelled the job a full five times and wasted an entire week where we had to live with our stuff packed into our living room. We finally gave up and phoned Robbie at Holloway Painting. What a difference--he came over to do the quote right away and phoned us back with a date to do the job right away. And then he showed up on time and was a complete professional. The best thing--the job is finally done and done well. The paint they use is from a Canadian company and it dries with no odour. I'm used to doing painting by myself, but this task would have taken too long for us to do by ourselves. So, if you are used to doing painting by yourself, be prepared that professional level painting is not cheap, and after the experience we had trying to find a cheap painter, we realize that the extra cost and peace of mind is well worth it. We recently hired Holloway Painting to stain our back deck. Robbie, the owner, came over to do the work himself. He was on time, professional, walked us through everything and answered all of our questions. We went with Sikkens Cetol 1 RE Natural for our deck. It took 2 days total, including the fence (Grey stain), and another 3-5 days to lose enough of the 'tackiness/stickiness' for us to feel comfortable moving things back. Robbie and one of his crew sanded, sprayed, and brushed with care. We did not find any overspray on the house, which is great. All in all, we are very pleased with both the company and their work.

After having an issue with our cabinet painting (with another company) which left me hanging with cabinet doors still unfinished, Robbie really helped me out. He had a cancellation and was able to squeeze me in within a couple of days of me contacting him. He gave me a more than fair rate, came in and sprayed my cabinets on a Friday, and left them to dry and come back on a Sunday to check everything. When he came in on Sunday he noted a few issues remaining with the cabinets (mostly from the previous job). He took the time to fix the issues and re-spray several doors. FIVE STARS FOR THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! We just moved into our new condo and loved everything about it except the very plain white walls .Blah Blah!!! We were thinking of painting the whole condo ourselves (which would have taken forever)........and it was highly recommended to give Robbie a call at Holloway Painting just to see what he had to offer. We called and he was here within minutes to give us a quote. It took us seconds to say we would like him to paint for us. This was on a Friday and he was here 3 days later on Monday with his crew to paint our whole condo. The team comes in and starts working immediately. No standing around chatting and losing time doing other things. They put tape all around the baseboards and paper out into the floor for protection and took all the switches off the wall (to paint properly) and started painting. The job they do is absolutely amazing. Somehow there was a mix up with the paint chip (not Robbie's companies fault) and when we returned to see the wonderful job they did we were so happy to see the walls weren't white any more we were quite happy with what we saw so said thank you we love it. Robbie is very professional and takes you around to all the rooms to show you their work and then if your happy...... he's happy. After Robbie left we could see the colour wasn't what we had chosen and decided to call Robbie to see if he would come back to take a look because it just wasn't the proper colour.This was late in the evening when we called and he was very professional and personal about the situation and said immediately I will be there tomorrow to talk to you .Never made me feel like I was bothering him. First thing the next morning Robbie called to tell me there was a mix up with the chip and if it would be okay with me his team would like to come back in about an hour to redo everything the exact colour we had chosen. Long story short........they came back and redid everything and it looks absolutely fabulous!!!!! By the way the colour we chose is a beauty!! Just ask Robbie what the colour is if your looking for a warm deep grey tone. We couldn't have chosen a better colour! DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL THIS COMPANY to do your painting for you. Had a great experience from the start with Holloway Painting. The estimate was done quickly, I was put in the queue and as soon as the season started up I was contacted to let me know things were beginning. I was contacted for colour choice, did a review of the exterior and discussed what I wanted done. They even arrange exterior house washing before they start to work. I had already had mine done so did not use this service. Had I known, I would have saved time and money! They let you know what to expect, how the work will go and Mindi was always available for any questions I may have had. The crew assigned ( Darryn and Lynn) were fantastic. Pleasant, hard working, focused. They did a wonderful job. All in all very happy with their service. Now just waiting for my door to arrive so they can come back and do that! Definitely recommend.

We did not use them as our painters BUT I wanted to comment on their exceptional customer service. Steve was quick to come in to assess the scope of work. He was able to provide a quote within 48 hours of coming in. The quote was very thorough and included everything you want a contractor to include (like documentation of licensing and insurance) so that you don't have to ask them for it. We got at least 7 quotes from different companies on the job we wanted done. The customer service we experienced from Holloway was top notch. We have seen some of the work they have done and the finished product is exactly what you would expect from such great customer service. The reason why we didn't go with them was because our timing was not great and we couldn't pin down a date to get the work started that would also work well with the rest of the contractors in and out of our place. You can tell that they value their customers (even the ones that don't end up using them). When the time comes and we want to change the paint again, we will not hesitate to contact Holloway Painting again.
