CertaPro painted the exterior of my house in August 2018. I was pleased with their work and would not hesitate using them again. Reasons - experience, quality of work, attention to detail, reasonable cost, and very pleasant to work with. Their personnel - Sawar, Mitch, and Maggie - were great.

Pros: -They were very quick to come in for an estimate, did a detailed job of reviewing the scope and providing a well laid-out quote sheet. Once the quote was agreed to, it all went down hill from there. Cons: - This is a franchise business with no sense of ownership pride and respect for customer service or satisfaction. - Mitch, the estimator/sales rep provided zero input in terms of colour consultation, paint type selection, etc. All he did was drop off a fan deck and left it all to us to decide. When we asked for professional suggestions or recommendations, none were provided. When we asked for additional paint samples to make it easier for us to decide, they said they would charge us for extra paint samples !!!! - Alex/Ali was assigned as project manager, who never showed up at our house before, during or after the job was complete to do a walk through. He didnt even bother sending the scope of work to the poor painters that they had subcontracted from out of town. I had to personally walk the painters through the scope and tell them what they had to do, and they had no choice but to take my word for it. The PM only showed up 2 days later to pickup a cheque. - Part of our scope was to stain the deck and it was agreed that we would pay based on number of manhours. When the job was completed I confirmed with the painters that they only spent 12 hours. The bill I received was for 36 hours. When I confronted them, they said they made a mistake and it should be 27 hours. When I told them the painter says he spent 12 hours, they said sorry for the misunderstanding, we will correct the bill to show that amount, but then the PM showed up at the house again asking for a pmt for 27 hours. I refused to make pmt until they show 12 hours on a revised bill. Then I got a threatening email from Mitch saying that it cost them 36 hours, so I have to pay them the full amount right away. After I escalated the issue to the owner, I got an email from the owner, not even apologizing, just saying that there was a misunderstanding and he has revised the invoice to show 12 hours. - After I made the pmt, I heard from the painters that the owner had taken the amount off of their cheque. Basically these guys marked up their cost by more than 100% and provided absolutely zero value for me. I would have been much better off finding local painters myself, paying half the amount and saving myself the headache of dealing with a group of people who obviously have no hesitation to take advantage of their customers or subcontractors.

They did a great job, my neighbours (I wasn't home when they were painting) commented that the painters were professional; the job was very clean and Certa Pro North Van lived up to not only the quote conditions but to their verbal commitments we had discussed (but wasn't in the quote). They lived up to their quotation statement of wanting me to be a satisfied customer.

We were in a rush to get our home painted to prepare for selling and Certa Pro was able to staft in less than a week. The painters were on time every day, listened to our requests and did a great job. They even did extra work to help touch up the outside of our house and did not charge for it. Highly recommend them.

I first used CertaPro Painters when we moved into our new home. We had a very tight timeline and CertaPro not only met our deadline but came in under budget. We have now used CertaPro 4 times in the last 12 years. Their staff is always very courteous and respectful and we would not consider anyone else for our future painting projects!

He did a fantastic job and any additional paint work I have to be done will be with CertaPro. Forgot to mention-they were competitively priced too. Much better than other independent paint companies I received quotes from.

Terrible experience. I contacted Certa Pro for a quote on an exterior painting job. I informed the sales person I would try to get access but could not guarantee it. When he realized that he couldn't get inside, he became extremely rude and condescending to me. He spent a total of three minutes at the home and even drove off without speaking to me! There are many good painting companies out there, and sadly Certa Pro s not one of them. I will in no way EVER use this company in the future. This sales person needs to learn how to treat potential customers with respect.
