This is such a cute little store with all sorts of neat little finds. Lots of things to choose from, my personal favourites of the place are their candle collections, and the many, many unique drawer pulls, hooks & signs. So much to choose from, you'll have to make a few stops into this place while hanging around Bancroft.

We visit the Old Tin Shed every year. This is a must visit if you love cottage themed signs, cast iron handles, hinges and much more. Lots of jewellery and clothing plus a separate building full of ancient doors, tools and collectibles. It brings out the creative side.

Walking through the door you're greeted with sweet smells, plush fabrics, rustic décor and a caring, supportive staff. This is not so much a store as Pinterest coming to life. The Old Tin Shed has earned its place as one of Canada's great places to shop. Thank you to the team behind this retail adventure. It is a true "happy place."

As soon as you walk in there is a strong smell of potpourri. It's not too much it's just right. There is plenty to see there. They have a lot of items that would look great in many household. If you are looking for antiques this place is not for you. This store only send new items.

While visiting the north my sister-in-law had the worst experience at this store with their young daughter. Not only were the owners rude, but when confronted about the situation they just mocked my sister-in-law. I do not agree with this behavior towards children or adults. As an avid shopper for unquie treasures and a longtime shopper of this store, I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE!

I have been going to the tin shed since Janis and Dagny had the little drop in Birds Creek. It is such a beautiful place to look shop and shop. I have bought so many decor items for my home over many years and this year I was able to purchase a very very old farm table from them. I feel so very grateful to have waited so long to get exactly what I have always wanted. The shop has something for everyone so if you travelling to Bancroft up highway 28 please make a special stop at The Old Tin Shed.YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

My family and I were in the area hiking and we decided to stop in looking for something to add to our home as it looked like it had some really nice items. However, the staff were absolutely miserable. We came across at least 3 female employees and not one of them lifted there heads to greet us or even ask if we needed help. We politely continued to walk through the store looking at items waiting for someone to acknowledge that we are customers but just left and will never go back based on the overall lack of customer service. It was after all Thanksgiving Monday but close the shop if you do not want to be there

Fun little store with items that are just a little different from many other knick-knack stores. From Canadiana to mason jar light fixtures to the colossal collection of door pull and coat hook hardware this store has something that will add to your home. We will be back.

Store is pricey, in my opinion quality doesn't go in pair with it. You guys advertise in radio (or at least you used to) that you are selling local artists stuff??? Well, I went there around Christmas time, looked at every single thing and I am not sure what you meant by that because haven't found anything else made in area than candles. I understand that you want to keep your business alive, but you do not behave like that, letting people wait for you while wanting to go through cash register and washing the floors before closing it feels very unwelcoming.3 stars only because I've seen some nice ideas and want to be fair. Also, I felt like owner was looking at me from up, not sure why that would be, I probably didn't look like cottage owner to you??? Generally, I feel like you guys are being judgemental about your clients and not welcoming to people you don't feel like it is worth it??? Not that I really care, there is always West Wind and Good Dauther and the other store to look at where the people are much nicer, especially for locals like me.

Just going through some of the reviews here and must say I have to agree with most, this is the most delightful, unique and enjoyable shopping experience you will find in this part of Ontario - quite possibly the whole province. The staff are warm,friendly and inviting and go above and beyond to help. My husband and I travel extensively and I have yet to find a shop as unique or inviting to date in our travels. I find it disheartening to see reviews written like the one found on this page critical of staff/owners for wanting to maintain some order when a child who no doubt was undisciplined and running unsupervised in a store that is definitely not a toy store (we have all seen and been around those entitled little darlings) are posted. If the adults making these negative posts put as much time and thought into parenting as they did into attempting to influence negatively the shopping experience at a perfectly delightful shop perhaps there wouldn't have been an issue in the first place, and I doubt very much that this shopping location is the first who has found it necessary to speak to their unruly child.

Just had the worst experience ever in a store. My 4 year old daughter was looking at some stuffed animals in a basket on the floor when one of the store clerks came over and took the bear out of her hands and told her she was not allowed to touch or play with them in an unfriendly tone. Both my husband and myself were standing right beside her. My daughter was in no way being disruptive. Cannot believe a store that survives on cottage tourism can be so rude to its customers. I have always made an effort to visit this store when I have been in town. Sad to say that will no longer be the case.

I love, love, love The Old Tin Shed! It's a favoirite store I've been visiting for years. The new owners are awsome! Since Covid hit, they have accommodated me with virtual shopping on many occasions. They made it easy and fun. We were dinally able to visit in person last month. We felt safe and were impressed with their precautions to keep all their customers safe. Good job! Lovely staff and owners!

I was treated extremely rudely and denied access to the store for a medical disability. My friend was in the store after I left and they continued talking about me. My friend confronted them and were completely misinformed about any laws. Its extremely unprofessional as a store owner. I wouldn't recommend supporting a small businesses like this.

I always look forward to visiting this place when I am in Bancroft! I don't always buy something, but I love browsing all the home decor ideas and potential gift ideas every time. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth a visit! Last time I was there, I bought myself a piece of jewelry and some home decor and my partner bought horse canvas art for his daughter, a wallet for me and a "My Sledding Hoody" hoody for himself. We love everything we bought there.
