I've used a number contractors in the past but I will only use peterborough handyman services from now on. I hired someone else to do a renovation and they just made a huge mess. Norm and his guys saved the day. They fixed the mistakes and finished the job. I'm blown away by there care, customer service and the work is outstanding. Hire them and you'll be so happy you won't use another company ever again.

At a minimum you expect a local company to behave with integrity. This is not the case with Peterborough Handyman Services. Four weeks after the company claimed to have "finished" the work of a bathroom renovation, we still have a bathtub that does not function because the spout – hurriedly installed on the final day of work - continually falls off when the taps are turned on. The shower head sprays sideways and upwards because, as we’ve discovered, it was never properly screwed on or taped. The new bathtub itself has an impact crack caused by the company and never reported to us. The tub caulking is ragged and patchy, and the new toilet rocks back and forth. This, as we found out yesterday, results from it not even being properly bolted to the flange! This is what a “finished” job looks like for Peterborough Handyman Services! Incomplete, defective, deceptive, unprofessional...and we haven't even talked about the crooked tiling and the other shoddy work. The company still has not taken any steps, including contacting us, to address the issues or apologize for the inferior work even though the install of all of the above was included in the contract and fully paid for. We've now had to hire a competent contractor to repair the problems. This was supposed to be a great renovation experience. Instead the company turned it into a stressful horror show. The work of Peterborough Handyman Services is way too often substandard and bordering on inept. Avoid this company.

I have a rental property in Peterborough but live in Toronto. I got peterborough handyman services to finish my basement for an apartment and a bathroom upstairs. They arranged everything with the tenants and inspectors so I didn't have to worry about anything and even sent me daily updates with pictures since I wasn't around. I've never felt so taking care of and the outcome/quality of there work is outstanding. I'd highly recommend this company and can't say enough good things about them.

Update: to be clear, the company emailed me two days later after I reached out them. I had a set appointment on Friday between 930am-10am to quote on a job but they never showed up. I tried calling and emailing as a follow-up but they have been unresponsive. Very disappointing to waste my morning waiting around for them.

Pictures posted on this site were taken secretly while on the job at my home. They never asked and were never given permission to post them. The paint job is half finished and the agreed upon repairs were never made to the kitchen cupboards. They neglected to remove painters tape on the edges of my closet door. They saw two elderly men who were worn down by caring for our 96 year old father and decided to take advantage of our situation. The job was never finished. I liked the work being done but everything was left half done and they abandoned me. Also on the last day they were here they rushed and did a poor job. Paint blobs left on floor and an uneven, sloppy finish where walls meet ceiling.

We hired Norm and his crew to finish a bathroom remodel for us and we couldn't be happier with final results! We don't live at the property that had the work done, so Norm provided daily progress reports with pictures, which we really liked as we couldn't be there daily.
