This sure doesn't feel like a small-town, mid-Ontario grocery store. The selection of goods, and the quality of the produce, bakery, and deli rival any normal urban grocer. And they are nearly always open, with reduced hours in the off-season. If you are from a bigger municipality and a price watcher, you will notice that the prices are a little higher, but that just reflects the cost of getting stuff to a somewhat remote town.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If I could give less than a star, I would. We were in the store last night and encountered a very erratic and ilmannered cashier. We wanted to return something, because the products were placed in the wrong bay and subsequently was not the price that was stated there. She refused to serve my husband and I at first and was very loud and verbally rude in front of other customers. After being told by a customer to serve us, she preceeded to grab the product from my hand and basically threw the money and receipt in my hand and walked away. It was very embarassing and I will avoid shopping there as much as it is possible in the countryside with a whopping two supermarkets.

Yesterday brought home from it moldy bread, checked expiration date - apr 6, so clearly it was expired and it was not removed from shelves. It is 30 min drive for me to get there and return it, of course i am not going to do it, but really disappointed. Removing stars.

Family stops here every time we come up to our cottage. A bit overpriced, but at least the food is very fresh and the staff are friendly. Plus, they stock Takis. You've got to love them for that. It's also a great area just to stop and stretch your legs after a long drive if you're a cottager or from a smaller town with no major grocery stores such as Madwaska or Maynooth, there's a nice hill full of quartz to take your dog or kids up right behind the store while you wait, and a gas station nearby.
