The other day we had the pleasure of having Greg and Rachelle in to paint our stairwells. My wife and I are doing most of the painting but these areas are a little past our comfort zone. The communication was great from the start. We had an initial walkthrough to assess the project and a quote was received quickly. The second visit was closer to the project date to determine paint colours. The guys arrived right on time on paint day and were very polite. We had Gil and Chibs at our house for 10 hours. It was a big job but they worked efficiently and made sure there were no traces of the old colour. I never heard them swear and both were always so nice when I'd peak my head in. Dil was the foreman on site and he's got a bright customer service focused career ahead of him. It was a very nice touch to find a bouquet of flowers on the table once they left. I found the pricing to be fair as I had brought in two other independent painters to quote at the job. The large initial fee that is charged is worth it if you're getting more than one room painted.

It took three days for them to complete the job fully. Thanks to Dil, Dan, John and Chip for completing the job on days 2&3. We had the team in to paint the main floor walls, plus paint and seal baseboards and window and door casings. There was a mix up at the end of day one, with a lot of missed areas, touch ups and re-dos needed. At the end of day three we were happy with the job! They also painted all interior doors which was a bonus to us for their mix ups.

This company is a joke. First of all, I would like to mention that I was a member of WOW for a brief time (about a week), however, I chose to leave on my own terms due to the unorganized and dysfunctional managers and crew members that I had to deal with. I would like to point out that WOW does not consist of professional painters. I witnessed them literally hiring people off the street, one with mediocre experience, and others with no experience at all. It would be one thing if they had a good training procedure, however, in short, they do not. Now, down to the money that you'll be spending. Obviously, the price you pay should be dependent on the quality and time that it takes to get the job done. WOW has a tendency to say that they can get the job done quicker than what other companies may estimate. I can guarantee you that it is a better idea to go with another company (that you've actually heard of before) than to believe that WOW can get the job done way sooner. Because quite frankly, they won't. My first day on the job, they had previously told the homeowner that they could get the job done in FIVE DAYS -- yet at this point it was already TWO WEEKS into the job -- and still not finished. They will estimate such low hours to get your business, but who do you think is right when the big name companies are estimating a longer time period? They will begin sacrificing members from other job sites to the sites that are behind schedule, thus allowing the rest of the sites to fall behind schedule as well. I've read the replies from WOW in defense to other former employees. I am not "disgruntled". I just wish to warn customers of what will happen if they choose a sub par painting company.

They are extremely professional and stand by their word and to me integrity is the most important thing because then you know that quality will flow over to every other aspect of the work they do. My only issue was that it took a bit more time then expected but even then they communicated the situation well to me. I would certainly recommend using them.

I've waited almost a year to write a review. Over the course of this past year I have noticed many things. #1-Paint splatter EVERYWHERE. My floors look dusty ALL THE TIME because of this. We have laminate floors and we had them paint our house light grey. We have found paint splatter in every room and in some spots the amount of splatter is just plain lazy and you can tell they just didn't care. #2-They DID NOT do two coats. All over the house over time I have seen ENDLESS spots where you can see the previous color poking through. I get that its one day but the mess they left behind with the splatter and the amount of white spots due to only one coat is ridiculous. They are not worth it. Pay that little extra and get someone who isn't going to get in and get out as quick as possible and not care.

Julia Clayton was absolutely phenomenal she organized and orchestrated the whole event she went over and beyond trying to help me choose paint colours even went and colour matched homes in my neighborhood… I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful the service was with WOW ONE DAYPAINTING and then when the team came to do my place on last Saturday… I never felt so at ease I came home and the place was stunningly beautiful… And my neighbours on either side of me told me how much they enjoyed the crew that was there as they were quiet respectful and super clean so that was really good to know that my neighbours also were extremely comfortable with The paint crew and Julia… since posting my stuff on my Instagram and Facebook I’ve had several people ask for their contact information and that’s how I got the contact information was word-of-mouth all I can tell you is I would use their services again and again and Julia was absolutely fantastic !

We would highly recommend Wow One Day Painting in Calgary. We worked with Julia and her amazing team. Our new home we just purchased was built in 2009 and required a complete change to all of the feature walls, trim, pantry and built-ins throughout the home in addition to some rooms needing painting. The communication with her throughout was excellent. What can I say about this team, Julia was on time right from the get go, very professional and knowledgeable about the products and how long everything would take. Appointment was scheduled within 1 week of the estimate. The crew that showed up were all open and friendly and professional. Brent and the team were in it 110%, on time and clean. Asked any questions that came up and answered any that I had. I am in a 2600 sqft house and had them do all the walls in the common area including frames and doors and base. In and out in under two days. I can't say enough about the team, when they left, it felt like saying bye to long time friends. We all know there are tons of painting companies in Calgary that deal with residential services. We also know that when we wanting painting work, we hope to have it done sooner than later. I had some work needed in my condo. Searched high and low online for companies that can provide prompt service but not forsake customer service. Times are tough and so getting what I wanted on a budget was important. I found Wow 1 Day online by trigger sign advertising in my area. I emailed them one night and got a text response from Julia within minutes. I told her what I wanted but would need assistance with paint selection. She booked an appointment with me and was punctual to the minute. I showed her what my vision was and she listened. She gave her insight and helped with the process based on quality, workmanship and timeline. Not only was her price well presented but she also showed flexibility for a deal. We booked a date and time for work and told me what to expect. Maya was the one that did the work. What a phenomenal individual. All I can say was that she was thorough, precise and knew what she was doing. Her friendliness and service was above par and she kept me updated with photos as she progressed. Even when everything was complete, I noticed some blemishes and contacted Julia. No problems! She arranged for Maya to come based on my schedule, fix the issue and didn’t charge me. Look people. There are good companies to choose from. And then there are great. Great with price, service, quality and workmanship. Superb pre-sales service, terrible delivery. Estimates were provided promptly and management met with us on site twice before commencing work. We had the fences painted for 114 town houses. The fences required good prep work (scraping and wire brushing) as they are aged. We required Wow1Day to return for another two days to repaint because paint was flaking off areas that were not properly prepped, there were many areas where the old paint was showing, they messed paint on the stucco, and also left 5 downspouts detached, damaged and strewn. While their price is good, their delivery sucks. It's a pity as this was our trial run with Wow1Day before awarding them the contract to paint the stucco for all 114 town houses.

When these guys say "1 Day", they mean it. They came to my home at 9:30 am to repair a hole in the drywall and repaint. It took several trips for the staff person to patch, mud, and let coats dry with a fan blowing on the site. Then a couple of coats of paint. By 3:00 pm, my wall was good as new! Awesome service!!

I booked this job last summer had to cancel at end of summer we could not get together on timing weather was part of the cancelation . I contacted them a week ago to rebook and the manager Sean Kellington came out saying we better take another look . Was informed once he arrived they will not match the $600 quote their representative gave me in August as he has made many errors in the quote total?? Sean then doubled the quote to $1200 with no other explanation than we are not prepared to lose money to do your painting. I guess if we could have completed the work last Aug they would have been ok to suffer the loss as they should stand behind there employees quotes Now they are off the hook an are ok to make a customer extremely unhappy ? The important thing for Wow 1 day painting is to make a profit not a customer happy in a situation like mine. Do not waste your time using a company that the happiness of the customer isnt the most important concern. This experience has been miss handled from the sales rep through to the manager dont give them your business they will disappoint you too?

Where to begin,. Mario and his crew were nice enough and the interaction with the painters was good. They took two days instead of the promised 1 but my biggest beef with them happened at the end of the first day when I came home to my empty apartment and noticed that the one thing I left behind (my sunglasses) where missing. After promptly calling the supervisor back regarding the missing glasses he followed up with his crew and found that one of the painters had taken them (by accident). With out pointing fingers or getting upset I just asked that they return the glasses. That night one of the painters dropped them off. Only problem is in the time he had them, till the time they got back to me they were bent and scratched up. Normally I wouldn't care, but being expensive glasses I was pissed and looking for answers. After 2 months of getting the run around and being ignored from everyone locally and on the corporate level I have given up. Next to taking them to small claims court I wont be seeing anything done about my glasses. Bottom line is I'm going to have to shell out a bunch of money to replace my glasses for a half decant paint job that took a day longer then promised. Not worth it and if you can find anyone else in the same price range you might want to go down that road.

I had them scheduled to attend on a Monday day at 8am, no one showed up so I called around 8:30 and was assured that someone was on their way. By 9am, still no one, so I called back and was told that no one was coming out to complete my job that day. Later on they told me they were sorry and that they would have someone come out the next day, only to email me at 8pm that evening and tell me again, that no one would be coming out. I cant even rate their quality of work because they don't even show up to start the job, however, if it is anything like the customer service I have been getting so far, my hopes aren't very high. I tried calling the franchise call center and their service was just about on par with that of the Calgary branch.. no one calls you back or follows through on what they said they would do. Overall this has been the WORST service experience that I have EVER come across!

I booked in my painting job two weeks prior to my chosen day for painting. My daughter was going away for the weekend and I was going to surprise her with a new room. As I stated during our consult meeting time was of the essence. I had limited time to get everything in order. The painter showed up at the scheduled time and date. When I arrived home later I immediately called the consultant to let her know the paint looked very thick and gloppy in many places. She assured me that the paint they use has fibres in it and it will dry smooth. I gave it until the next day and it was still gloppy. I had to reschedule my entire day to allow for the painter to come back and correct his mistakes. The painter admitted to me he had put on a lot of paint ???? Why ..... to cut corners. Not acceptable!!! He then had to sand the walls again and repaint. Why did he just not allow more time on the initial day of painting. One day painting for a very small area ended up being two days and in the process altered my work commitments. I would not recommend this company. Allie Novak

Wow 1 day was just that! Despite me putting them on a time crunch, the two courteous and highly skilled painters managed to pull it all together in time to meet my needs. On top of recommending them for their painting skills and professionalism, I would also like to do so because of the way in which a quoting mishap was handled personally by the franchise owner Sean Kellington. I addressed my concerns to Sean personally, and he worked with me to ensure that I came away with exactly what I had requested. In this day and age, it's nice to find someone who holds his company to a higher level of customer service, accountability, and is true to their word. I’d give them a 0 if I could. We ad arranged for a painting estimator to give us a quote on a paint job. We specially stated we needed a quote for 1 coat of paint, instead received a quote for 2 coats of paint. We emailed back with exactly that statement...never heard another word, no response for several days. Received a phone call and asked to rate their service. I explained on the phone that that we received a quote for 2 coats of paint when we specifically asked for 1 coat of paint...the reply: I will make a note of that in your file. Very unhappy with their customer service. Henceforth will go with another company.

Interior of the house painted and trim. I still can't thank WOW 1 day painting enough! The owner is truly such a great guy! Wow came in and saved the day after I had another company ruin the interior of my house with the horrible paint job they did. I was about to sell my house and was mortified when the company I originally paid took my money and ruined rooms of my house. I phoned WOW to see if they could help with the given deadline and disaster left behind, the owner came and immediately stepped up to the plate and saved the day. He brought his best crews and was very humble with his pricing. Not only WOW help me out they did an amazing job. I have an attention to detail and the cut lines were amazing! After the job was job was done i was again invoiced a month later for work that was never ever brought to my attention or even agreed upon!!! they even went as far as to say they would put a builders Lien on my house. I simply hope this review gets to people so they think twice before choosing WOW 1 because of over promises the way i did. It was the worst experience with contractors i've ever had.

After being quoted a full day job, they tried to have it done in 2 hours. After they recognized the work was not done well, the 2nd attempt was no better. After these 2 attempts and 1 no show booking, and no response from the office in the city with our concerns (phone calls and emails) we had to call the Head Canada customer centre who was great to deal with to have the issues dealt with. - they did not prep the area in regards to covering the flooring, etc. - They came unprepared with an unstocked van and had to leave to get more stuff as they did not have what they needed. - Blemishes left in the painting, holes not repaired and sanded to level. one of the visits they didn't even show up with drywall repair mud. Their prices were similar to other companies we had quotes from, and since we had a good experience in the past with this company we decided to go with them. It was also nice to know it would get done within the 1 day. In the end, 3 of our days were interrupted. We bought supplies, made repairs to the drywall and did the painting ourselves and it was done well, looks much better than how it was left by them.

Be careful of what you wish for! I have done many home renovations myself and know what is possible to achieve with attention to detail. There was absolutely no attention to detail by this team of painters. Yes, they did paint my house in one day. Compared with other estimates, I paid approximately 30% more (ie: they are expensive!) because they were able to meet a tight timeline as I was listing my house for sale. For a 30% premium, I expected a premium quality result. I paid approximately $800/hr for their team to paint my house. With a team of approximately 8 painters, that is an insane amount of money to pay. But I was under a tight timeline so I went with their quote. When I did my walk through, they had missed painting 2 exterior windows that were included in the project. Multiple interior doors were only painted on one side and I had to have them paint the other side as well as the door frame itself. They put one coat of paint on the wall behind my fridge, got paint all over the face plate, and did not even cut in the corners, so the original paint was still on the walls for approximately 2 inches all around behind the fridge. As a bonus, I had to clean paint off of the top of my fridge! Their quote says they remove all face plates when they paint. When I went to replace some 1970 vintage face places with more contemporary ones, they had not been painted behind and I had to touch up the walls myself because the new face plates were slightly smaller. Attention to detail? NOT! Their drywall patching of "nicks and nail holes" was marginal at best. They put one coat of paint on the walls, then did all the patching and then the second coat of paint (I was home while they were painting). Many of the patches are very obvious. There were thin spots in virtually every room even after 2 coats of paint, and completely missed spots in clearly visible areas. They damaged the custom mattress on my bed while moving it around to complete the painting. Yes, the reduced by bill by the repair costs of my bed, but this should not have happened in the first place. I had them back a second time and they spent 10 person hours finishing up all the work as well as doing some additional painting that wasn't included in the original quote. Yes, they did try to "make good" on the bad experience, but really, there should not have been a bad experience in the first place. I still had to do touch ups after the second team came to fix the deficiencies of the first team. I was trying to stage my house for listing, get photos done, work with the realtor as well as work a full time job. That is why I choose to have my house painted commercially rather than doing it myself. To top it all off, less than 1 week after the final negotiation (damage on my custom mattress), they are threatening to put a lien on my house for payment of the remaining amount of money! This was 16 days after the initial paint job was complete, and I had to have them back a second time as well as get an estimate for repairs to my bed, etc. - The house was painted June 3, - They came back on June 7 to finish the job. - I emailed them the repair estimate for my bed on June 10 and the guy was out of office. - On June 16, I indicated I was going to pay the bill, but my house was listing on June 17 so it slipped. - On June 19, I get an email threatening a lien against my house. Happy customer? NOT!

The team was incredibly professional and courteous and did a wonderful job painting the upstairs of our one story bungalow. I received updates throughout and the end product was terrific. Would highly recommend.

These guys were awesome. From the moment they picked up the phone the professionalism was unmatched to anyone else we had spoken with. Sean came by and gave us a thorough explanation of the quote and what we should expect from them. We were very pressed for time and only had 1 shot to get the job done right. Sean and his team delivered 100% on their promises. There lead hand even stayed back an extra hour to do some final touches and were more than accommodating when we became extra picky on a couple spots. They cleaned up after themselves and treated our home with the utmost respect. We will be using them again when the time comes and would highly recommend WOW for anyone that requires a fast, efficient and professionally completed job.

Overall, had a great experience. Rob was quick to provide me with an estimate in the same day that he visited to assess my condo. He also booked in my appointment in my preferred date range. The in-person colour consultation by Julia and Rob was invaluable. Julia helped me peg down two perfect colours for all the walls in my condo. The crew Dil, Chip and Nick worked hard and were polite & professional. Dil bought me a coffee and the crew left me flowers which was an unexpected and nice touch. I especially appreciate their responsiveness for touch up requests and their patience in answering all my questions. I would consider using this company again.
