I have used this company 3 times over the past 10 years to paint my home(s) and rental units and I have never been disappointed. Randy has an amazing group of employees working for him and they go above and beyond to ensure that the job is done right the first time. This past job that he just completed for me about 6 weeks ago, I added a lot of scope above and beyond just painting including new trim install on entire level, installation of lino floor in 1 bathroom and laundry room, as well as patching holes in the ceiling etc. The scope of the work was massive and they executed flawlessly and within the timeframe quoted. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone, and encourage those with questions to reach out to me as a reply and I would be more than happy to assist in any way I can.

I was initially really hopeful after reading the great reviews and comments, however, my husband and I left this experience with a really bad taste in our mouths and I hope that our experience can help you make an informed choice if you are considering the Repaint Specialists. Cons: The last thing you want to hear is your estimate going up by 40-50% halfway through the job (day 2 out of 3) of painting time required. We feel that despite Randy's (the owner) claims that he has been working in this field for the past 50 years, he provided us a really misleading quote and made a poor judgment call as a professional. 1. He walked through all the areas that needed to be painted. 2. He knew the exact paint color we wanted 3. He knew the color of our current walls. 4. He led us to believe that two coats were enough for the walls that were not dark. At NO point in our discussion did he mention that there was a possibility that the lighter-colored walls would need a third coat. 5. Instead, he made claims that the Cloverdale paint is superior to Benjamin Moore (overpriced) and that the painters he subcontracts are exceptional. It was stated verbatim in our contract that "We use Cloverdale Paints. A product called Super 2 Acrylic". Excellent paint. As a reference, my husband had already painted a couple of the rooms and living rooms using two coats of paint by Benjamin Moore watching Youtube painting tutorials. So we were confident in what quality was possible achieved by two coats of paint. The most disappointing part of this experience was that when the painters messaged my husband stating that it will cost an increase by 40-50% of the original estimate and that it DEFINITELY needed a third coat of paint you are left wondering how my husband could achieve superior results with only 2 coats as a novice self-taught Youtube painter. You can only logically deduce that it is due to 1. Lack of craftsmanship OR 2. Lack of quality of paint that was used. When confronting Randy with these facts, he stated that perhaps my husband did more "backrolling". Essentially he is saying that his company was not able to achieve the quality that my husband was able to achieve watching painting Youtube tutorials. What bothered us the most was that he was not open to taking accountability for his misjudgment. We ended up paying the extra $300 for the third coat on the dark walls but did not feel that it was fair to increase the price by 40-50% for the lighter color walls. Instead, the painters (sub-contractors) Mike, his sister and his dad were the ones who texted us stating that they were just going to do the 3 coats as they could not leave it the way it was and in hopes that Randy would compensate them. We sincerely appreciated this so much but definitely DO NOT believe that they should be responsible for absorbing the costs associated with the third coat of paint as the responsibility ultimately should rest on Randy. We hope that Randy fairly compensates them for going above and beyond for his lack of professional judgment and misleading quotes for his clients. I will attach photos for reference of deficiencies. You will notice that there quite a lot of areas where the dark walls still show through even with three coats. Please note that deficiencies are much more visible in person, it was difficult to capture them adequately with a phone camera. I hope that in the future, there will be honest, transparent, and realistic expectations when providing an estimate. If Randy informed us that based on his experience that we should anticipate a third coat and these would be the costs associated, we would not feel that we were being taken advantage of halfway through the job to get professional results. PROS: - Subcontracters were kind, Mike, his sister and dad were on time and finished the job on time. Everything was very neat and clean at the end. - Color match was very consistent - Randy was responsive to emails and text. He showed up for the agreed time for the quote.

I was initially happy with the service I received and paid immediately however I wish I had held back some money because I noticed deficiencies. I had two properties painted to the tune of just shy of 20 thousand dollars. My house was painted on the exterior and there were places that were missed and sloppy work in some areas . I also had my apartment building painted on the exterior and was very pleased with the workers and the result except there was overspray paint on many of the tenants' windows that has never been corrected. My advice would be to hold back some money until you have had time to fully inspect the work. I've been messaging Randy for months now and no results.

They did NOT require us to remove all of the furniture (which was a requirement of another company we obtained a quote from). This made it so much easier and less stressful for us. As the website says, the staff from The Repaint Specialists are respectful of your home and cleaned up each night. We had requested them to mud and repair many areas on our dining room walls, after we took off floor to ceiling wallpaper. The paper was difficult to remove and the walls then needed an expert's help. We called The Repaint Specialists, who were recommended to us by a friend. They did a fabulous job, and when finished and painted, the walls were beautiful. We also asked the company to remove the texture on the ceiling and bring it to a flat, drywall stage, which we had them paint white. The dining room was transformed. We would recommend The Repaint Specialists to anyone looking for polite, knowledgeable staff.

We had painted our cupboards and let me tell you did we ever mess it up. We contacted Randy and his crew to see if he could fix our mistakes, they came out and took a look and told us because we messed it up pretty bad it wouldn't be their best work. We had The Repaint Specialists Inc. repaint our 16 year old, 1600 square foot bungalow. It included the main floor and finished basement and involved painting all walls,doors,trim,handrails and some cabinets. We received a prompt estimate and work started right on time. Will (the painter) was fantastic. He was so meticulous and accommodating with any requests we had. We were living in the house while it was being painted and Will made sure everything was protected and cleaned up every evening. When the project was completed, it looked like a new home. We did have some issues with the subcontractor hired to spray paint the railings and cabinets, but Randy (the owner) was quick to resolve the issues. I had this company paint my kitchen cabinets at the end of April 2021, just this week it has been finished (February 2022) to a quality that is acceptable, so 9 months later. The first crew that did the cabinets was Klaudio and his family, finished in 3 days and it looked terrible, my cabinets were oak and the grain was not filled in by the paint, so they came back and put multiple coats of paint on in the span of 3 hours. The paint just cracked and chipped off as it dried (I have included pictures). I complained multiple times to Randy and the same guys kept coming and adding silicone and paint, just making it worse each time. They did not have a clue what they were doing, or how to fix it. Finally they refused to come and Randy suggested the only way to fix them may to strip them and start from scratch. Randy had Mike come to remove the doors, strip and refinish them. Mike did it as a favour to Randy, not really having the amount of time commit to the huge job that it was, so it took months for him to finish. I must say they do look good now, so I will give Randy credit for standing up to the quality of his product and having someone knowledgeable come and fix them, however, perhaps he needs to hire competent contractors in the first place. Mike did go above and beyond and even came and fixed other deficiencies left by the original crew. Had Mike done the kitchen to begin with, I'm sure it would look much better than it does. Because of the amount of paint put on them originally, they had a difficult time stripping it off and gouged a few of them when scraping them. First 4 pictures are of the doors as they progressed through the year, last is of a door now and how it should have looked 9 months ago.

Over the last 10 years or so, we have had Repaint Specialists do five repaint jobs around our house. Three of them were large jobs, and two were smaller.
