The service I received during my recent trip to Target in Poughkeepise, N.Y. was beyond exceptional. The young woman who checked me out was friendly, complimentary, and provided amazing service. I had questions about the Target mobile app and she took time out to explain a few functions that I was having trouble with. What shocked me was she didn't just push me and my sale out of the store like just another Target customer, but she took the time to assist me with a patient and super friendly demeanor. A fantastic, positive experience at Target. This young woman should be applauded by the team.

I was waiting in line to use the self checkout in the store. There were two employees socializing with each other and ignoring the queue. Neither of them were calling the next person forward to the next available register, which is normally what I experience in this particular store. A third employee, clearly a security associate, was talking loudly into a radio about the African American couple in front of me accusing them of shoplifting. They were most certainly NOT shoplifting. They were taking their time and ensuring that they scanned all of their merchandise. A FOURTH employee came out of nowhere and starting lingering and watching the couple to make sure they scanned all their items. While this was going on, a third front end associate came up to the queue and was talking to one of the customers in line about their Saturday Night and then said to her “Oh you don’t have to wait for the self check! Come here to three” and lifted the ropes on the stanchions and cut said customer in front of a fairly long line. The three front end associates continued to laugh and giggle while the two security associates lingered until the couple scanning all the toys paid and exited the store. A horrible experience.

I'm more and more dissatisfied with this Target store each time I visit. Not only are there never enough registers open, but the shelves are often messy and generally disorganized. I went in last week for a few items only to find they where completely out of stock. What is going on here folks? Also, as a parent of small children it's very irritating to walk into a smelly, dirty public restroom. This store needs HELP!

I love target. Even though I had a miscommunication with an employee at guest services for my online order (which I choose not to name), the store manager (Nick - hope I spelled it correctly) turned it all around. Nick was genuinely pleasant and accommodating. Nick found alternative solutions for the problem and defused the animosity caused by the guest service employee. Excellent customer service by Nick, the store manager, should be commended during such a stressful shopping season.

Disappointed that they are never stocked on anything. As someone who shops for people it’s very frustrating to have to tell someone half there items aren’t in the store. I don’t understand why they don’t stock at night. Help us out and stock your store up. Enough is enough fire some people if you have to but it is inexcusable to be that under stocked all the time .

Satara and Charlie went out of their way to track down the animated Yoda doll I was searching for last month during the holiday season. Satara saw me searching through the isles and took the time to look up when the next shipment will be arriving and advised me what time to come into the store. When I went back, Charlie searched through the inventory boxes and all the ones on the shelf until he found it for me. Any other store would have most likely said, “It’s not on the shelves yet, come back later to check.” A+ service! Thank you again Satara and Charlie!

I've shopped many times at this store in Poughkeepsie, NY but it has become even more 'essential' for me to look for items that I can no longer find on the weekends at Walmart. I'm able to usually find what I need for just a few cents more than at Walmart, and the stores are so much more attractive and clean now. I was extremely impressed last week, when I went, to find your staff CLEANING shopping carts for customers.

Unorganized, some good finds, I witnessed a couple shoplifting and told the Manger but they didn't do anything so they are useless, rude customer service, made a baby registry with them and they didn't help my husband and I out at all, the bathrooms are beyond filthy, they smell of urine, there is urine on the floor, clogged toilet bowls, very gross I do like how they have self check out Things seem to be pricey though Dirty Not helpful staff Things are priced wrong and not put back where they belong

I used to love this store until they put this older lady Darcy at customer service she literally unsealed my earrings that I ordered online came in a sealed zippy bag and asked me twice if I wore it ... second time she said are you sure not even once ?? Normally not too bad to check out. Recently this Target is like a giant dump. No one helps on the floor. Items are never where they should be and if you question a price you get the third degree about reading the tags. If the items were stocked right to begin with and store employees actually acknowledged customer needs on the floor then the signs would actually be accurate. Customers aren't exactly a courteous type either. Line cutting and just rudeness. I'll avoid this mess for a better experience and travel to a different location.

Clothes, electronics, shoes, petcare, groceries, toys, electronics, exercise equipment, stationery... everything under the sun! The employees are nice, generally younger folk, all wearing red shirts, though of differing brands (not uniforms). The bathroom is clean. Diligent recycling, with four separate bins. Dedicated counter for customer service, including product returns. There is an ATM next to a computer terminal to complete an application for employment at Target. Overall, the prices are very fair, and the store well-organized.

The cashier and cashier supervisor were extremely rude, when I questioned a posted price that did not come up correctly when scanned. Then they proceeded to tell me I had to pay the price scanned not the price as advertised by the shoes. Needless to say I did not purchase item. Also the cashier charged me double on many items, they were priced from $1-$5. My total was $82 unfortunately I had to pick up my children so didn't have time to check my receipt while in the store. I only purchased 16 items but was charged for 32.

This place, while not the nicest Target I have ever been to, is combating higher traffic than many stores are used to. As they are attached to the mall, they have more people in and out, and many people do not help keep things neat or clean in their wake. The employees are always helpful and friendly. They do the best they can in the situations they find themselves and they keep the store as clean and organized as possible. I enjoy shopping there when I am in the area.

Usually if your doing drive up you don’t always get the same discount. Coupons are restricted to in store shopping. I'm a huge fan of target, but recently I've been very displeased with this one! Shelves are almost never stocked, prices are outrageous, things are always blocking aisles whether it's carts or things from the shelves, always only one or two registers open and lines are super long on those registers and the self checkout ones. Most of the time there are so many employees just standing around like they're getting paid to do just that.

Staff is very friendly and the store is very clean. This target is very large and you can always find something cool. They have a fairly small grocery section but they have a wide variety of decorations, kitchen items, and a great variety of college dorm room accessories. This is definitely a great place to go if you are moving into a college dorm. The parking lot is huge and they have online ordering so it’s easy to just get your order and go. Great place to shop.

The only reason I gave as many stars as I did was because I like the new selection of clothing and shoes, but the waiting to check out was ridiculous, totally ridiculous! Either hire additional help or offer additional training for the staff they currently have and if too many people constantly call out on a regular basis. ...maybe they should find a position more suitable to their needs because it's obvious that Target isn't working for them.

The store was a mess. It e seemed like there was more clothing on the floor than on hangers. The fitting rooms how weren't emptied after each person. Hangers and clothing were left in the rooms. Sales signs were over the wrong items. Almost to the point of bait and switch. The shoe department was a disaster too. Lots of shoes left on the floor instead of being out back on the shelves. People left empty soda bottles on the floor in a couple of spots. Toys in the shoe and clothing areas, on the floor. Now some of it is clearly the shoppers. But some of it is management. If this were my first time in Target it would be my last.

All of the staff are nice as each will be willing to offer help or assistance but since hardly stop in there, I would like it if they offer the help instead of having the customers seek for it. I honestly don't know what the staff on the floor does pertaining to my suggestion but if that's not done then possibly implement by doing so. Store is a disorganized disaster. There are piles of merchandise on top of piles of merchandise in almost every aisle. There are aisles with nothing on shelves. It’s obvious your management team is over their heads. Carts loaded with returns lined up in asisles throughout the store... there’s nothing to shop on the shelves!!! I’m going back to Walmart!

It is hard to think of anything NOT sold here! This branch of Target seems to have everything, from toys to clothes, electronics to cosmetics and athletic equipment, and all fairly priced (extra discounts if you have Target's rewards card). There are several price-scanner for customer use, an automatic teller machine, and a kiosk for applying for a job at Target. The employees are nice and wear red shirts which are not entirely uniform. The bathroom is clean, there is free wi-fi, and parking outside in the plaza's lot is plentiful, with racks for Target's carts close at hand. Within this location are a branch of Starbucks, and one of CVS Pharmacy.

It's a nice service but in reality I could have walked into the store and picked the item off the shelf and checked out myself several times for the amount of time I had to wait on line in order to pick up the item at the service desk. At 4:30pm there was only one person working at the service counter and a long line of people waiting. In this case the service wasn't worth the wait.

Wish I could give no stars... But it makes me have to leave at least one... I have been a customer at the store since it first opened! I have never in my life experience such a rudeness as I have over the last few years at this Target location! So target employees a tire also fits their new rude Behavior I have never seen such sloppy employees either... When this location first opened up anyone you asked with a red shirt knew where an item was... Now the answer is all I don't know from the managers down to the regular employees common items are always either not on the shelves not in the back room or in the wrong places... the cashiers I have absolutely no idea how to use a registers... There's always miscommunication going on up front at customer service who happens to be some of the most non helpful people in this building! Gisela especially being one of them which is sad because I've seen her there for a long time! Not only the employees are dressed sloppy with dirty shoes and very unimportant brand but the bathrooms are ridiculously atrocious I've actually been in them seeing somebody come in and check them by signing the little piece of paper that hanging but never did anything about the toilet paper everywhere the feces in the toilet bowl in multiple stalls urine all over the seats that my children have had to hold it to go to the main part of the mall to use the bathroom! The fruit is always over right and ready for the garbage I bought three avocados there yesterday and maybe salvaged are half of avocado out of all three and those were the best choices out of the bunch on display. Overall I'm very disappointed with the turn in this stores negative Direction somebody needs to get with it because at this rate I rather drive the extra 20 minutes down to Walmart who's actually improved their services over the years where target has clearly made a turn for the worst!

I am partially disabled. I have difficulty walking. I tried for two days to call and have it brought out to my car. NO ONE ever picked up the phone. When I went inside I observed several women working very hard. I also heard the pho9ne ringing constantly. NO ONE even bothered to walk over to the phone. It was just totally ignored!

Thank you target for wasting my time with your lazy inattentive employees. Spent about a hour walking around the store to look for someone to help me get an large item from the stock room since the employees refuse to replenish the items on display for the customers to shop at their leisure. At no point did anyone ask if I needed help or offer any assistance. And when I finally found someone to help he was already involved with another customer and when he was done he disappeared. Definitely not taking my business here anymore. Thank you.

Came today, 3/18/19, Monday to get cell phone service. Told they only activate on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Why would they only want to make a sale on 3 days out of 7. Totally rediculous. Store shelves were very messy and unorganized or had nothing on them at all. Will not be back ever.

I ordered several items of clothing for my son using store pick up during Black Friday. They wouldn't ship but could be picked up. Fine, no problem. After getting an email that they needed to be picked up in 2 days, I went out of my way to find out when I got home, they were the wrong size. I called and got a "we're probably out of your sizes so that's why you got that." Really? Last I checked, my son is growing, not shrinking. Even Walmart is more organized than this. Smh.

Online orders of Target are zerooooo!! No good , it literally took a month for them to deliver a package to me , the shipping carriers are horrible. Maybe they should have more options of picking up items at store instead of shipping.

I do my weekly shopping at the target in Poughkeepsie. Never had an issue until today. I learned about cat and jack’s return policy and how I have a year to return. It was three pairs of pants that my daughter outgrew. Last time I had no issue returning, this year I had a terrible experience. I was told there is a 90 day limit to return but the receipt clearly says return by Dec 2nd 2021. The young girl working at customer service along with the manager completely disregarded that. I called corporate and was told that the ladies at customer service were not correct and corporate refunded me. In the end all I was asking for was store credit. I will donate from here on out, lesson learned. I just didn’t like the way they made me feel as if I was trying to scam them out of $20. I love target but that left a terrible taste in my mouth. I hope the cat and jack brand knows that target is not upholding their end of the policy.

I had almost $200 of office products in my cart, there was only one cash register with 3 people at it already (two with full carts) 3 target employees wandering near the registers, and only self check out available. When I asked an employee is there really only one register? all she said was yes. I bought only two items I needed (using the self checkout) for a total of $9.24 and left the cart and bought $186.00 in office supplies at Staples down the road

They have drastically cut back on store front employees. Every Saturday that I’ve been there they have zero cashiers working. With 2 Self checkout lanes only. And yet they will have a person “ managing” the self checkout lines to make sure nobody cuts the line or whatever. That person could just be doing a register rather then being a referee for disgruntled costumers. Makes no sense. The store is a mess as well. I rarely shop there now.

I ordered the item and went to pick it up yesterday. Upon arriving home, to my surprise it was the wrong color. I had to drive all the way back to return item. I then tried to purchase the correct item and was informed that it's not available as item is still not unpacked. Sales person stated didn't I receive message in e-mail that a substitute would be given? I did not receive such a notice. How obnoxious to just toss in item I did not ask for.

If I had an option for 0 stars, I would be using it. There is no good reason why at least one of the two cash registers by the mall entrance should EVER be unstaffed. Today there were three cashiers on shift according to the young man who called for assistance, and not one of them was sent to ring out the half dozen paying customers who had been waiting in line by the mall entrance for several minutes. These registers are convenient for those who use the nearby covered parking or who work in the mall and just pop in to grab a few quick items. Not to mention the security risk an unstaffed store entrance poses - someone could just walk away with merchandise and nobody would even notice! I hope management acknowledges this review and take steps correct this issue.

They need to tell their employees to shower it’s absolutely disgusting how dirty the people who work there are. Also they will close up 10 minutes early for no reason and when you’re outside knocking on the glass they’ll stare straight ahead ignoring you so they don’t have to lift a finger because they are all a bunch of lazy filthy stupid employees who deserve the minimum wage they get and once they’re replaced by robots in the future they’ll have nowhere to go and I hope they all read this and feel ashamed of how pathetic they all are. You all deserve exactly what you get which is nothing and no one has any respect for you because you won’t even try to earn it. What a bunch of losers.

I ordered four items for pickup. Three of which were blatantly incorrect. One of the three was not available for online shipping and your in-store system was inconsistent as to whether it was available. After conversations in-store, over the phone, and via chat (and those Team Members were extremely courteous and professional and did their best to assist) the final solution was for me to pick up the item at another store almost an hour out of my way because for some reason items cannot be shipped from the store or transferred from store to store. If the item in question were not a Target exclusive I absolutely would have gone elsewhere and will avoid Target unless I can get the items directly shipped to my home in the future.

What is going on with this target? There are carts everywhere in the parking lot. The store itself is very disorganized, untidy and understaffed. Restocking seems to be an issue as many items are missing in shelves. I asked for help locating an item..one employee just shrugged and said they didn’t know. The other looked up the aisle, but again, the item wasn’t restocked. The Starbucks staff is super slow, people just gave up waiting and left. Skip this one.

This Target is absolutely amazing from the people to the cleanliness. The place is so organized. I love what they did with the baby/kid section. I drive 35min just to go to this Target instead of my own local one that is 5 mins away.

When Deb Yellin was the ETL at the Target in Poughkeepsie she was rude to the customers and she was extremely rude to employees under her. I'm glad I didn't see her working there a year after 2008. Someone at Target shouldn't have hired her to begin with in management position. She didn't provide a great experience to the customers and the employees working there. From what I've heard from former Team Members, Specialists, and Team Leads she wasn't missed or well liked .

This Target is well located at the south end of the Poughkeepsie Galleria. There is plenty of parking. The store is spacious and well laid out. It is well maintained and clean. There is a grocery section in this Target that often is a good substitute for the grocery store if we happen to be here for something else.
