Everyone at Oxford Optometry is friendly and professional. I was immediately impressed when I walked in the place itself was beautiful and I was greeted promptly but the optical assistant Claire! She was great with helping me pick out glasses and making suggestions that work for my face, we looked at all the frames and sunglasses. Claire was easily able to set up my insurance / benefits for payment and help me process the payment. I would highly reckoned this place and defiantly will be returning!

My wife called today to request a prescription from her mother’s glasses that were misplaced They would not give her the pupillary distance required , and I know they have it...regardless, the receptionist, Vicky, as her usual self was very rude and unprofessional....many have the same complaint...only thing she was worried about was bringing my mom in and charging 20$, after I already said she couldn’t leave! Very unfortunate, the optometrists there are great but I will be taking my family to another now....this has gone on way too long.....she’s in the wrong business

My 4 year old and I went for eye exams and was very pleased. Victoria is amazing with kids and made him feel so comfortable. Dr Sarah and Victoria were very quick but thorough with his exam! He did so well. Dr Jenn came in half way and did my eye exam and was very friendly and professional. A very comfortable atmosphere, especially for kids. I am going back in two weeks with my 3 year old and won't have any fears. Highly recommend.

I have been returning for eye exams for years and am happy to have found a professional, friendly, and reliable Optometrists office. Always thorough and great at listening and answering any questions. It would be very hard to find a better place to go.

I ordered a pair of brand-new frames from Oxford Optometry. The photos attached are what they attempted to give me. Upon receiving them, I removed the glasses from the bag they were in and inspected them. I never put them on my face. They gave me a filthy used pair of broken frames and tried to tell me that they were just dusty from the supplier. As you can see in the photos, the frames were covered in scratches, had makeup marks on them, filth was caked into every crevice of the frame, the hinge on the right side of the frame was broken and missing plastic, and the nose pieces were green and filthy. This is unacceptable in an everyday market, but to give me a filthy used frame with other people's germs on it, in the time of covid is beyond unfathomable. When I received the frame, I immediately brought them back to Oxford Optometry and advised them that they had given me a used, broken frame. The receptionist took the frame to the back area for inspection, and then after a few minutes, she brought the broken frame back to me. The receptionist stood in the lobby with me and argued that the frames are simply dusty and that they are in fact not broken at all. It took over 10 minutes of me insisting that the frames were broken and filthy, and me refusing to accept them before she took the frames back from me and told me that she would order me a new frame from the supplier. This business clearly has no morals. They never once apologized or admitted their mistake. Had I been elderly or not known any better I would have paid for a pair of used broken frames. Inspect your frames CAREFULLY, or even better, avoid this overpriced business altogether.

This optometrist is extremely overpriced and untrustworthy. I was quoted 150$ over the phone for an eye exam I needed done for job testing, which i thought was fair because i paid 120$ 2 years ago last time I did it. Half way through my exam the optometrist says “your looking at about 350$ buddy”. So already half way through i cant really say no.. I ended up bringing it up to the optometrist that 150) was the price i was quoted and asked if i was the first person to bring her this specific form and she said “no we get them all the time”. Overall not sure how she can almost double the price half way through my exam. But i will not be going back ever.

I have been a patient of Dr Sara for many years. Recently I was diagnosed with cataracts. Dr Sara spent the time with me indicating my options which was deeply appreciated. Following my surgical in London, I received follow up care from Dr Sara. The post surgery check ups that I received from Dr Sara were thorough and any questions I had were answered in detail. I enjoy going for my appointments Thanks Dr. Sara.

I adore Dr Sarah however they have no compassion for stay at home parents who have no alternate child care options during covid. I understand covid recommendations and I am happy to comply, we mask, we distance, we sanitize! I have a 6month old a 2 year old and a 4 year old all who need eye exams. I tried to book an appointment back to back to back so we all go and are seen at once. I was told that was fine but I would have to leave 2 of my 3 kids ALONE IN THE CAR as I can only go in with 1 child at a time. My husband works straight days 7-7 and they are not open on the weekends or evenings. I can't arrange a sitter because of lockdown. My family can't come watch my kids because of lockdown. What's a mom to do?? Because leaving my kids in the car certainly isn't an option. Guess my kids aren't able to access health care.

Not happy with the experience here. They screwed up my wife's glasses order so much we cancelled them. Now we have to fight with out insurance company about the refund. Overpriced with way too much overhead with terrible service

I had a very positive experience at Oxford Optometry! All of the staff are very helpful and kind! Dr Sarah is very thorough and knowledgeable, and most importantly she took the time to explain what she was doing throughout the exam. I also had a positive experience while choosing glasses in the boutique! There is a very wide selection of frames in all price ranges, and the staff members are very knowledgeable, making the selection process easier. There was a balance between covid safety policies and good customer service, and I felt very safe in the office. I would highly recommend Oxford Optometry to anyone!

A very professional place. I had nothing but a great experience from the exam to picking out new eye ware. I was informed greatly on the new prescription that I needed and the reason for it, as well as how the glasses would work. I was offered extras like blue light protection (which I did need in my life) but wasn't pushed to take it. When picking out new glasses I received help with a very honest opinion on what looked well on me and what did not. Which I appreciate more then ever as I never liked the way my old dress glasses looked on me which ended in me no longer wearing glasses. When receiving my glasses they didn't look straight on my face (my left eyebrow sit a bit lower then my right) They adjusted them in about 30 seconds to fit properly. All in all 5/5. - Cody Belanger

They take every precaution to keep you and their staff safe. I felt very comfortable through the whole exam and while trying on frames. They handle the frames to minimize contact and clean everything thoroughly when you're done. They really put me at ease. Definitely recommend.

This place is horrible . Don't go. I've had masses growing in my eyelids and need someone to look at them . I've been a patient for 10 years now. The first time I called they weren't taking anyone as they said. But then I know people that had gotten call ups to say they were doing eye exams THAT SAME DAY... I understand they are backed up but they wouldn't even consider seeing me.

Have been going for regular eye check ups for the last few years. Always cheerful and helpful as well the show room of all the glasses they carry is amazing. So many choices and great products they carry! My husband and i just went in and got new sunglasses the other day and the service was amazing. Very helpful when choosing products to try! Very disappointed in the service here. We were constantly lied to and given the run around. I finally got really upset and they tried to bandaid fix it. Our daughters glasses did not fit correctly as it turns out A waste of 600 bucks. We also paid 200 bucks more with no warranty or 1x prescription changes. Staff are rude and condescending. We went to another clinic in town Dr. Brant and what an amazing experience compared to here. Prices were better to! Oxford optometry needs to do some serious staff training, customer service training and price adjusting.

**EDITED after owner response** That is a nice theory, but as I stated here AND on the phone with you, the cost was absolutely NOT explained to me on the phone, nor was it explained to me at ANY TIME in the office** Poor communication and hidden unexplained fees. When I went to pay, I was charged an extra $60 for an addition service that was not explained to me in my initial booking or any time thereafter. I was told this is standard with all new clients, but as a new client I would have had no way to know this. What I thought was a simple eye exam (My glasses broke and I just needed a new prescription which I explained to the receptionist upon my initial call) cost me over $170 which my insurance will not reimburse. When I called in after I got home, they tried to tell me that this is explained to all new clients as if I were lying which is absurd. Why would I agree to the cost and then be so upset with it the next day? I should have listened to the reviews on google before making this appointment but all the other offices in town that I called were booked. I will say that the Doctor was great. Very friendly and informative but unfortunately there is no excuse for the lack of communication resulting in hidden fees especially given the current financial climate right now. I will not return and neither will the members of my family.
