It's been over two weeks and still no glasses. Was told one came in and waiting for another. My daughter went in today to pick up the one that came in and was told none was in and to come back after 12.

Yes, 2/$99 is for the basic lens with cheap frame, but if you need an everyday glass, this place can't be beat. My pairs have lasted almost 2 years with little toddlers constantly ripping them off my face, and now that one pair is biting the dust, I'm going back for something new (and my sunglasses still wear like new). Also, the ladies' are awesome helping you choose... just be ready for a week wait while your glasses are made.

Have been getting my glasses from here since I was 11, have always found the staff to be very helpful and nothing but pleasant, i've even brought my daughter here for her first pair of glasses, which she's thrilled to be getting come Monday. and you can't beat the 2 for 99$ deal that has been in place for all these years, never changing even as the price of everything else in the city goes up.

Firstly I would like to share I work in LTC during the pandemic. Which I understand for other businesses can be scary but I disclosed that information and the fact that I have tested negative weekly since all of this has happened. Instead of treating me as a regular customer they stood on the opposite side of the room as me told me I could only look at the glasses by the door and told me since there is a stay at home order I shouldn't even be there. I explained that the reason I need glasses is because I'm having a hard time seeing at night. The two "professional" working women at this place of business told me straight up that they were going to rush me out of there because of where I work. To the women working I hope you don't talk to staff in LTC like how you talked to me because it's unacceptable. I am a person first and my career second it doesn't matter where I work. Now let's hope they actually come in on time.

My mom and I came in today because we saw the sign which says "2 for $99". Then, when she saw my prescription, she said that becauze one of my eyes has astignamism, ill get one pair for $190. So what is the 2 for 99 for? Reading glasses? People who don't really need glasses? And even the selection for $190 was terribly small and I wasn't interested in any. My Mom and I are both disappointed. We will go elsewhere for a better deal.

Would be nice if the website listed as "by appointment only". We went in with prescriptions, into an empty store, and were turned away. No, please call from outside to make an appointment, no I'm sorry, no customer service period. Very disappointed! We have been customers for years, probably 20yrs. I realize these are difficult times, and everyone is trying their best, but this was ridiculous.

Love the friendly staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Great prices and selection. Obviously you are going to pay more for bifocals or depending on your eyes needs. Always happy when I go.

I just went in to look for glasses, was told I needed to keep my mask on while trying on frames. Kind of makes it hard to make an informed decision when you can't see what they look like on your face. The woman was also extremely rude. I will never enter this business again.

I went in there trying to put lenses on my frames and was met with rudeness. I would never go back to that place no matter how cheap their glasses are. The people who gave great reviews needs to get their glasses checked because these women who worked there are not nice... I bought 6 pairs of glasses from them and they can still say you can go somewhere else when I try to give them more business.

The customer service at #1 Canadian Optical is amazing. Kate is Fantastic. I have been going there for years. Always greeted with a smile and given great advice and assistance. No need to go anywhere else!

Went in to store yesterday, older lady wanted my prescription, said leave on table, asked if I had insurance, which are frankly irrelevant, my ride came in said we need to leave, they ask a lot of questions just to look at glasses so I had to return today to look again, anyways, went inside, saw a different older woman, said do you have a prescription, I said yes, obviously why would I be looking at glasses ???, looked at rack, asked to try one on, she said I need to BUY THEM FIRST and NO WINDOW SHOPPERS ALLOWED ! Bah !! I left, I am going to COSTCO to buy glasses, inappropriate conduct by 2 different old sales ladies. So much for friendly service.

I was not impressed with first purchase the lady was no help purchased 4 pairs received 3 cases so needless to say my “reading glasses got scratched”. Went back bc need adjustments and a nice caring agent picked out 4 new pairs and WOW they are great fitting- and now I understand when they say glasses suit you because to me they were just a tool to see. I’m so impressed with Mary Anne thank you so much for restoring my faith!
