Here you will see the feddbacks of people who have information of the services of White Rock Optometry Clinic (Optics Shop) in the territory of White Rock (Canada).
Currently this business has a rating of 3.8 stars out of 5 and that rating is based on 41 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is quite high, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we can be quite sure that the evaluation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Optics Shop corresponds to the category of Optometrist.
Was there 3 years ago now time to check again will not return to this (clinic) why?: the sales lady was biased offered me a lens that I currently use are not as good from before Crysal the optometry was right those lenses I got forgot the name scratched fast All meaning they sure have kick back from the manufacturers which is wrong client comes first before bonuses NEVER BACK bad!
Some good staff,, but my experience was frustrating, new glasses arrived, was called in for final fitting, and the girl who was doing the adjustments broke the frames, ( not her fault ) then another girl ( manager i think ) had the audacity to say to me, that i should be covered for the repair,,,EXCUSE ME?? I WAS SPEACHLESS!! I left the premises before i exploded, once my replacements arrive, i shall not be returning. This is on top of being charged $180 for cheap chinese frames, probably worth $3 ,,disgusting markup.
DO NOT come here expecting quality customer service. Some of the staff in the sunglass cove are have a very passive-aggressive type attitude and lack quality customer service completely. the bald gentleman did such a horrible job fitting and cleaning my glasses. i had to get them re-done twice by someone who knew what they were doing, and took days to clear the mess he made of the lenses too. DO NOT come here expecting quality customer service.
I’ve been coming here for close to 8 years now to see Dr Donaldson - she’s absolutely brilliant who helped me through transitioning to contact lenses after 3 optometrists couldn’t help me. I have always felt looked after by the staff here.
Great service, but glasses are too expensive.
Dr. Lo was very understanding and patient. She did my exam with my 10 months old baby on my lap. Melissa and the receptionist was very friendly.
They're all friendly and helpful ???? Dr. Saran is so kind and very understanding. Sandy helped me to find the right frame, she's very patient and sweet ????
I reluctantly decided to share my unpleasant experience at the White Rock Optometry Clinic today, May 20th, 2020. I was eager to go to the clinic today, and I was very excited that they opened their doors to the public. My plan was to order a new pair of glasses. Well, I am not going to be wearing any glasses from this place. I decided to walk away, after I was treated very poorly by Dawn, person who opened the door. She looked at me so intensely from the very first moment of our interaction, and decided to be rude. As a result, I walked away quietly after she kept telling me how to put the mask properly without allowing me time to complete my task. In less then one minute, she made three comments about my skills of putting the mask properly. Her own anxiety related to covid19, was a barrier for effective and professional communication between two of us. I was not allowed time to put my mask without her making comments, and telling me how to put the mask on. I would usually laugh at this behavior, but this was not the first time that she acted inappropriately towards me. This person has no compassion for her job. Please, note that I have been an emergency nurse for more then decade, and I have been doffing and donning ppe many, many times. I thanked her, and I walked away. Because, I was mistreated with this same person in February this year, this time I could not just go away without saying anything. I have tried to contact their manager Lisa, who was not helpful with the situation at all. She was defending their policies and procedures related to the prevention of spreading covid19, rather then addressing unprofessional behavior of her employee. The issue was not following the protocol, the issues was Dawn's unprofessional behavior.
Dr. Chin was very understanding, friendly and patient. Our English isn’t very well but she helped us. Thank you. COVID measures were also very careful.
I had an appointment with Dr Curry Nov 10/20. She did a very thorough exam and explained everything. Sandy was also very thorough and helpful picking out glasses. Overall a great experience, everyone was great including the steps needed for covid. Thank you, I would highly recommend this Optometry Clinic.
Informative and friendly
Dawn is AWESOME...she takes good care of my glasses and her office is great as well. Now if they only carried Versace's,Dolce and other high end glasses that would increase their sales
Great staff. I saw Dr. Saran, who was thorough and friendly. She helped diagnose a problem, saw me for a check-up, and worked with my comfort levels for what I use on a daily basis in terms of glasses and contacts. I saw an optician for some new frames (Lisa) who was so friendly, patient and informative. She really took the time to recommend the right frame, and was very considerate and helpful. Great staff!
First time here. Full eye exam. Excellent service - polite, friendly, knowledgeable staff, highly recommend them.
Literally has now become the most INCONSIDERATE, stubborn, close-minded, ignorant, inconsistent on policy, & ARROGANT customer service receptionists I have dealt with across any business ever. Dealing with them the last 8 months has been a nightmare every single time, over the most minor issues regarding getting my contact lenses that they consistently have made so major & LIED about information to me. That reply is a lie lol, I have been a patient for like a decade.
I was surprised to see the negative reviews as my experience was so different. I went in for my first exam in years and felt very well taken care of right from the moment I walked in the door. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I ended up being there longer than expected and they had actually closed for the evening and I was still there. I apologized for keeping them late. They were so kind and said no rush and to take my time looking at frames. Very positive experience and I will be back to purchase my glasses from them. Thank you for the excellent customer service you provided me with!!
Dr. Saran is the best, treats you very patiently.
I visited this place on January 5 & 7, 2019 to see about pain I was experiencing in my left eye. The receptionists were very kind and professional, and my diagnosis and treatment were both very effective and quick. The optometrist was a delight to visit thanks to her positive and kind personality. I forgot to leave an honest review, and so I leave one now (though it's quite late!!) Thank you so much for your help!!
Felt a little rushed out the door. Overall a positive experience though
After an eye exam I bought glasses at their store without shopping the prescription around. Over $800 for a pair of glasses that can’t be repaired because they are discontinued. But they would be happy to sell me another pair of the same glasses ( that can’t be repaired) for $160. I understand that they are out of warranty but I won’t be buying another overpriced pair of glasses that last 2 years with minimal use.
Love my optometrist!
I have never written a review but I feel like I had to warn against this office. Just to note: I am using a fake name to protect my identity. I had been with White Rock Optometry for the last 10 years and have only recently switched optometrists (Island Eyecare) because I had moved to Vancouver Island. When I switched optometrists, I realized how poor the service was here. I have had poor eyesight since I was born so I had surgery when I was a child, have been wearing glasses my whole life, have had contacts for two years now, and have been routinely going to the optometrist at least annually. For starters, in my experience, THEY DO NOT DEAL WITH INSURANCE DIRECTLY. I have had to PAY IN FULL and submit my insurance claims myself every time, which was a nightmare considering the nature of the insurance plan I am on. I did not realize that this was not normal. My new optometrist at Island Eyecare took the time to sort out all the finances themselves and, even though they could not figure it out in the end and I have to reach out to my insurance company myself to get it sorted, they only made me pay a deposit until this problem can be fixed. At my new optometrist's office, I have received tests I had never received in my life, despite the fact that I have been legally blind in one of my eyes since birth. My prescription was off and I learned that I am probably not a good candidate for laser eye surgery which was disappointing, considering that none of the optometrists I had at White Rock Optometry had told me this after I had asked about it every visit in the last few years. I learned that the contacts that were fitted to me at White Rock Optometry were expensive, even though the technology was outdated by 5 or 6 years. On top of that, my eyes are incredibly dry because of these ill-prescribed contacts and I have to apply intensive eyedrops for the next few weeks to repair the damage. I am a student and my new optometrist took this seriously, giving me new contacts and glasses that aid with reading. This is a concern that was never addressed at White Rock Optometry. In summary, in my extensive experience with White Rock Optometry, they did not make me feel listened to and valued and did not care about how much I was paying, despite the fact that the lenses they prescribed to me were more expensive than the lenses that were best for my eyes. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE TO AVOID.
I've been going to WR Optometry Clinic for at least 15 years. My appointment wait times have always been kept within a few minutes. To me, that says they're very organised. They have a lot of sophisticated, specialised equipment and are …
I used to go here starting about 10 years ago. Over time my doctor retired and the place turned into a factory, pumping through people at an amazing pace. Talk to this person for this, move down the line, then talk to this person and so on and so on. Oh and please pay BEFORE you get any service. I’ve never been to another business that does that. The relaxed friendly tone was gone and I was fed up. I went somewhere else and was happy enough for a few years. Today I thought I would give WhiteRock Optometry another try because I like to support local businesses. I walked over from the mall since I was there shopping. Knocked on the door and a young girl came out. I told her I would like to make an appointment. Sorry, you have to phone in for an appointment. Really? I can’t just come in and talk to someone? I know it is Covid times and I respect what businesses have to do, but I found it strange that I couldn’t just come in and make an appointment. I was masked and so was she. I’m just as glad because I probably would have been freshly annoyed by the impersonal rote service I would have received.
The so -called friendly Eye Clinic is not so friendly for patients requiring emergency visits specially if they are from outside of the province of British Columbia,. As long as They were not told that we are from out side of BC but need to see the doctor for an eye condition that has recently occurred, the friendly responses -that almost offered me to bring my wife to the clinic- changed to oh, sorry the doctor is busy and will not be able to see at least for another few days as a complete detailed eye examination is required and this was determined without seeing the patient and her condition. The medical profession is NOT supposed to behave like this at all.
Myself and My family have been coming here for 25 years and we will not return as of yesterday. My wife and I booked appointments for the same time as we both had other meetings to attend after our exam. The Optometrist took it upon herself to change our appointment to back to back without informing us even after we insisted we needed them at the same time. What made matters worse is that they denied it. Never returning
I want to give Kacey and the White Rock Optometry team a big shout out for going above and beyond for us today. We've had nothing but exceptional service every time we walk through their doors. If you are looking for a new pair of glasses, I highly recommend getting them here. They have a large selection of frames, and if you require any maintenance they will do everything they can to accommodate your needs.
A very sincere Thank You to Dawn and White Rock Optometry Clinic for going above and beyond when I had a glasses emergency in the midst of the Covid crises. She found a pair of frames in which to fit my very small and very high prescription lenses and would not hear of billing me. It is this manner of kindness that engenders a strong community spirit and I am extremely grateful!
I was a bit surprised to see some negative reviews, but that's the way it is with the internet. I have been getting my glasses for quite a few years at White Rock Optometry because I know that they will work with me until my glasses are right. That is not always an easy task with progressive lenses, and more than once they have taken back my glasses and redone the lenses completely because I felt that they were not working as well as they should for me. (No formula works for everyone!) They may not be the cheapest place in town but I will continue to use White Rock Optometry. Their prices are probably comparable to any good optometrist/optician, but I have not shopped around for cheaper because I value the professionalism and reliability too much.
Excellent experience today as always. Dr.Lowe is professional, kind and genuine. She is very thorough and always allows time for you to ask any questions that you may have. Highly recommend.
Dr Jarvis is truly a great optometrist. She identified a retina issue for my wife immediately and she has performed expert eye exams for me almost yearly. We trust the accuracy of her work. Great to have her working in South Surrey and White Rock.
I always have a great experience and I've been coming here since I was little. Dr. Grewal has been my optometrist for years and takes amazing care of my eyes. The entire team is always professional and helpful. Thank you for the great service!
The best quality service
I’ve been seeing Dr. Donaldson for years and take my daughter here as well. Dr. Donaldson is always excellent. I truly appreciate her professionalism but she’s also just fun to have the appointment with. The eye glass staff are helpful and make finding great frames easier. It’s amazing watching them. They know their products so well, then pick through all the inventory to find just the right handful to try on. It’s great having a high quality neighbourhood service that is so well rounded. Highly recommend.
Refusing essential service workers at the moment.
I am writing this review because I have just read, astounded, some terrible reviews. I want to share that my experience has been so different. I have been a client for a few years of The Dry Eye Guru, Dr. Sally Donaldson. I suffered until she finally taught me how to survive my eye issues. I have had glasses made and I am a difficult customer since nothing fits me, but Dawn has persevered with me and I have felt total support from those fine ladies and the entire staff. You won't be sorry if you use this service. I really can't imagine anybody not being satisfied, even if it takes a few tries. Also, the products are guaranteed and can be exchanged if your glasses don't feel just perfect.
