Recently I spoke to Dr. Daphne Kamachi about my upcoming cataract surgery and my vision options after having the surgery. I found the information that she provided very useful and thorough. She took the time to discussed the various contact lens and glasses scenarios to meet my vision needs following cataract surgery. I would not hesitate to recommend her as an eye care specialist.

An exceptional optometry office! All the staff were incredibly polite and helpful, especially Dr. Lauren Kamachi. She answered all of my questions thoroughly, and made sure I understood everything she was noticing during my check-up. Honestly don't think I've ever known more about my eyes and what's going on with them more than I do after my visit here. Would highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

I would not recommend kimachi.. not only did he miss that I have astigmatism but when I told him I was having a hard time seeing farther as well as close up he told me that I am “too young for progressives” he also thought lowering my reading script would be enough to help me see farther.. he rushes you through appointments and pressures you to read harder. Sorry but that’s not how you do an eye exam.. I’ve since been to brookswood optometry and love them there. Very informative and beyond welcoming. If I were you I’d go anywhere else

I had been frequenting Boardwalk for about 3-4 years now. When I first started coming here for eye exams and glasses/contacts the experience was pleasant and prices reasonable. Now, I don't think I will likely be coming back. The prices have skyrocketed without notice, and I have been shocked every year when I had gone in for an eye exam to be greeted by yet another price hike. Service has become kind of meh lately. I don't live in the area, but still wanted to use them for ordering contact lenses. Big mistake. I am only able to get there on Saturdays, a day which they're supposed to be open until at least 3pm (according to their website). I drive all the way from Vancouver to get there, and I am welcomed by a piece of paper taped to the door stating that they're closed for the weekend...2 SATURDAYS IN A ROW! Why have a website, if you're not going to use it to notify customers of random store closures? The receptionist was also rude when they were finally open on a Saturday. There's no way I'll be returning anytime soon.

I would recommend Boardwalk Optometry to everyone. The staff are awesome and extremely helpful. They have state of the art equipment for testing your vision. Dr Kamachi-Wong is awesome she takes pride in her work explains everything to you and goes above and beyond taking care of your eyes. This is a family run business that cares about their patients and treat you with respect and awesome care. I tell everyone I know to go here best eye care in town. All doctors there very professional ,you won’t be disappointed. I encourage everyone for your eye health go to Boardwalk.

Dr. Wong-Kamachi is caring and considerate, providing comprehensive eye exams. Daphne, is an exemplary optometrist who has demonstrated a phenomenal knowledge base, along with her profound intricate skills. Her communication skills are superlative. She always articulates her Vision,that as a patient it is very easy to comprehend.There is always an action plan that is very detailed and thorough. I would love to give 5 stars to their services, welcoming and experienced staff. it was my very first visit in this clinic for complete eye exam which took around an hour. I got same day appointment. Dr Kamachi is very professional. She answers all of my questions/concerns..I even booked my kids complete eye exam appointment. Thanks Dr Kamachi and her staff for great services :)

I emailed Boardwalk Optometry to provide more detail on my invoice for the dry eye treatment and was told that it was not possible as the invoice had been closed. This makes it challenging for my insurer to reimburse me. I was taken back at the inflexibility and lack of customer service of the invoicing clerk.

This is a 5 star clinic. Their staff is warm and friendly and they really care about their patients. The doctors provide excellent care and have great bedside manners. They also have top of the line equipment and technology.

This company is very shady, my partner went there and was prescribed a eye cleaner, for crusty eyes he didn't need, and also told to have this machine photograph his eye for $100 that we found out after showing bill to another optometrist that was recommended by our doctor, he confirmed these overcharges and that the eye photographs are covered under medical but we were charged extra, on top of these eye cleaning pads worth $50. We just got lenses for his glasses, no frame at a horrendously high price. He also got recommended to another place, to go from boardwalk, that does lazer surgery for eyes. After going there they wanted him to set up an appointment for lazer surgery to remove something in his eye which he thought was alittle rushed and fast paced by the way the appointment went, that is when we asked his doctor to recommend someone we could trust for a second opinion, and after tests from him, we found out nothing was wrong with eyes and these companies might be working together and Boardwalk might getting kickbacks for unnecessary referrals, Please protect yourself from these people and ask your doctor to recommend someone, We kept all recipts/recommendations & dates from these people and pray they do not send someone else in for unnecessary surgery just to make buck off unsuspecting seniors. Buyer Beware, and do your research this company is not for you. They are a cash generating company with a fake smile. They prey on seniors. Amazing they get away with this.
