Got some good reading glasses here, but they got scratched. Customer service was generally good on my visits. Went into see if they can put new lenses on the frame, which they don't apparently... Woman at customer service today didn't even bother to look up from her computer screen when telling me I'd need to take them somewhere else. I know I'm not a screen or smartphone, but still I'm a customer and could use a little eye contact.

2 Attempts to have a pair of "computer" glasses made. Wasted 3 weeks and don't have a usable pair of glasses. The only good thing is that it's convenient to return them to the retail location rather than having to ship them back. Both pairs were ordered in store with staff assistance. My prescription is not complicated. 2nd attempt were basically a single vision pair rather than progressive. There was a slice about 1mm right at the bottom of the frame that would allow me to read my phone.

I had worked with Sarah at this store to find the best frames for me. However, that was a year ago and I live in the East Kootenay's. So, I called the store a few weeks ago and Sarah answered the phone! We reconnected instantly - she remembered me from a year ago. She took the time to locate the frames I originally chose, returned calls to me updating me on the status, and finalized the order. However, I recieved a form letter email telling me that the frames were no longer available in the week following the stellar service I received from Sarah. I called the store again - I am a tad leary of ordering progressive lenses online - and learned Sarah was now at the downtown store. Nevertheless, I received perfect service from the staff at Kitsilano, alternative frames were ordered, and I am wearing them as I write this review. Good job, staff at this store.

I had a great experience! Nikaia helped me find the right type of glasses, took me through the whole process: selecting frames, eyes exam, how to submit the claim to my insurance. All good including the eye exam. I was very lucky since someone cancelled their appointment and I was able to take the exam that same day. My glasses arrived in 7 business days! Mo is a pro! I've bought several pairs of glasses over the years from this location and taken my glasses in to be adjusted. Mo knows the products well and is very helpful. I thought I might try one of the new places on 4th this time for my glasses and went around to them but I didn't get much help. The level of service at Clearly was so much better as Mo greeted me at the door and found me frames to fit my face well. It was also much cheaper!

Ameneh was very helpful and knowledgeable. When I was trying frames that were a little on the smaller side, she pointed out that the arms would appear stretched around the temples after I wear them for some time. I have had this issue with an older pair, but nobody ever cautioned me about it. Thumbs up for Ameneh.

Great experience shopping for glasses here, especially during covid. Felt very safe as they asked questions, took my temperature, and limited the amount of people in the store. Everything that I touched went into a little bin and was disinfected before being put back on the shelves, which definitely made me feel better about having to put things on my face during all of this. Not to mention the glasses are great quality and half the price or less compared to what you would pay at LensCrafters! Will be a lifelong customer.

The place is tiny and it was jam packed at 6pm on a Saturday. We made an appointment for 6pm and were expecting safe distancing since their website mentions 30 minute slots for eye glass purchases. So having an appointment did not make any sense to us! We had nobody to help us in the first 20 minutes coz they were busy assisting other customers. We anyways knew what we wanted from the website, just needed someone to get them out for us. It was a waste of time and effort of trying to make an appointment and plan our day. Anyways, once someone got to us, I tried the glasses and we were out within 10 minutes. If you know what you want, and just want to try the physical glasses. It should be easier and faster.

Just have to pop in and leave an absolutely glowing review for Mo, who saved my entire weekend by repairing my broken glasses in short notice. Took my glasses on his break none the less, repaired the rivets and came back to them literally good as new. Ended up adjusting my frames along with my partner's as well. All on his request, not ours. Absolutely amazing and straight up THANK YOU for saving my butt. Go-to place for my glasses from now on.

I've always had an excellent experience at this location and Leila goes above and beyond. I hadn't been there in more than a year and was surprised that she remembered me. People please do your research (not via MSM). There is no pandemicc and our rights and privacy rights are getting chiseled away. Look into deaths & suicides from lockdown.

Sean was amazing! I was a bit worried about going into a place with the pandemic but felt safe. Lots of good protocols in place. I like that they still take your name and number - so many places have stopped being so cautious. Sean walked me through everything quickly. Sneaky on-line sales tactic . I wanted to order a 6 pack of AcuVue lens but it said that they did not have any in stock. So reluctantly I ordered a 12 pack. To my surprise they sent me 2 six packs !! I came in because I had ordered glasses online and they weren't quite right for me. Great staff and service. I’ve bought my last few pairs of glasses here, and am very happy with the help I’ve had in selecting frames and overall experience. What I like best is the follow up service I’ve received - minor adjustments, lens cleaning and even small repairs to glasses I bought elsewhere. Even though this is a chain, the Kits location really feels like a small, neighbourhood business with over the top attention to customers.

Adjustments are made and you can also try out frames to see how they look on you. For those of you who wanna try out the glasses in person instead of the virtual trial, definitely give this shop a visit.

Thoroughly impressed by this team here. Their willingness to help you find the perfect pair of glasses, answer questions and explain everything right down to the purchase is damn right amazing. This is the gold standard for customer service in my opinion and I'm sure there are a ton of people here that would agree. I've also gone to this location to have some frames tightened and screws replaced for free! (simple/easy fixes) I did however experience a bit of a hiccup. I was scheduled for an eye exam and checked in with the lady at front. She asked for my name and I provided it. But I guess I checked in with the wrong lady because the individual who had to get my eyes tested and registered didn't know I was there. I missed her call because I was checking out some frames and asking her other colleague questions. Mind you both ladies were in training. An easy simple fix to this is simple communication on their end of when customers check in for an appointment. Anyway, great place - will highly recommend to friends and family!!

Smaller than the Robson store, but with such helpful staff - Mo Guivehchian is the best; he'll give you honest feedback and help you find what you're looking for without sacrificing what looks best on you...as in find something trendy but not too big or angular or round for your features. He's helped me find five glasses I've bought now.

1st thing I drove from Burnaby to kitts, I usually buy from clearly online or in store. I wasted my time to come down , gas and meter parking. I was told on my last visit to bring my eye exam and I did to ensure I would not have to bring it again. They told me the store would have a copy and I came and they didn't have it. I am never purchasing from online or the store. Another thing if a client would like to use the rest room if would be advise as a customer service gesture to do so. No public bathrooms. your better off buying from an online retailer than supporting this company. not impressed I always enjoy supporting local companies and store fronts not this time.

Decided it is time to change my glasses since I felt my vision got dropped by a bit. I choose Clearly Kitsilano because they have good selection of frames there and few ongoing promotions. The service I got there was outstanding. I would like to express my gratitude to Allison at the clinic. First of all, she described all the procedures that have to be done during eye exam, so i was aware what to expect. Secondly, she have done an amazing job to make me comfortable to go through each procedure by correcting my chin and asking me questions. After I got my prescription, an eye consultant Assem took me over to show me the collection of frames and helped me to choose my perfect glasses. She did a really good job taking care of me, giving an opportunity to try quite a few different glasses so i could find my perfect fit. Besides, she did above and beyond to make sure I also got the right type of lenses. With the ongoing promotions there, I ended up buying two pairs of glasses. One pair was with transition lenses for driving a car under the sun and another one was just with a durable lenses for the office. Overall, I had a superb experience, thanks to Allison and Assem.

Both of our orders were processed showing what we ordered, but we received the wrong frames for all three glasses (I got two sets) They were close, but obviously different. Bit of a let down with that, but they are comfortable and they work. Price was decent. Having the right frames would rate it better.

My aviators just didn't fit my face right and I was scared to bend and brake them myself. I live close to 4th and thought I would ask if any of the glass stores would offer an adjustment service. Clearly Kitsilano were definitely the friendliest place with my inquiry. They followed very good Covid safety procedures which I liked. Then, Aveneh adjusted my glasses so expertly I never feared that they would be damaged. My glasses fit me perfect and it was a free service! The entire staff was so friendly and nice, I will be back for prescription glasses for sure.

What an amazing store. I went in and was looking for new glasses. The staff there were so helpful letting me try on different frames and giving me honest opinions. I ended up picking one recommended by the staff. Their Covid procedure is amazing as they clean every frame you try on. Truly as great store. Just today I went in to get my glasses to fit my face and right away I was greeted by my name and the optometrist made sure the frames fit behind my ears. Highly recommended.

Came in today as a walk in to buy another pair of glasses. Was told when I was here my last eye exam wasn't actually done by a real eye doctor. They let me buy glasses still to get their sale and then got me in for a real eye exam and update my prescription. Got me in right away and also let me browse for as long as I want to look at glasses. Tried on a set of raybans in a medium frame .liked them & fit great.got glasses a week or so later ...in a large frame .... Also got anti scratch coating..it didnt work glassses got scratched in the first week from putting them night table..think i nicked my watch..last few pairs of glasses ive used @ work & never have had a scratch on them after 3yrs for each pair. I wanted to replace lens & was told id have to buy a new set of frames & lens...cheap lens & shady employees..ill never shop there again.

From the moment we arrived, Devyn was amazing. She insisted our dog was welcome and pulled out dog treats. Although we had come for repair to our glasses, she noticed the need for previously overlooked adjustments and, when we were slid into available spots for eye exams, showed us options for future glasses purchases that would be the best match for the fit of my very large(!) head. In other words, Devyn covered all the bases in customer service: welcoming, informative, with an ear for our needs always first - a consummate professional. I ordered online and received the glasses, however, when I put them on I immediately felt dizzy and didn’t understand why. I initially thought that the prescription was incorrect. I took them down to the Kits location and they confirmed that my prescription was correct. Sauabh was so helpful and took the time to help me figure out what the issue was. He noticed the the new glasses curved significantly more than my old pairs and straightened/flattened them out to be similar to my old pair. I noticed the difference as soon as I put them on. I’m so happy that I was able to take the time to drive down to the location and for Saurabh to adjust the glasses so that I could wear them without feeling dizzy. Feeling much more confident with my purchase and excited to rock my new glasses now!

I told an employee that I wanted more info on their blue light blocking lenses than what was available on their webpage. I asked her what percentage of blue light their lenses blocked. She pulled up the webpage and told me that that info wasn't on the page. I felt like saying 'no kidding, that's why I'm asking you my question'. Then I asked her if she could tell me the last time that they had a frame in stock that I had previously bought that they were currently sold out of and was there some way that she could find out the likelihood of them getting the same frame in stock in the future or had it been discontinued. She searched for them on the webpage and told me they were sold out. Again, I felt like saying 'no kidding, that's why I'm asking you my question'. In both instances, she made me feel like she wasn't listening to me and/or couldn't be bothered to find out the answers. HOWEVER, another employee, Alyson, overheard all of this and went and asked the optometrist, Mo, to help me with my blue light question. Then Alyson found the frames I wanted. Apparently since they only had 5 in stock they didn't post them on the website. I was thrilled! If you go to Clearly Kits, ask for Alyson...she rocks! -1 star because of the first employee; Alyson was 5 stars

I had a great experience at Clearly Kitsilano. They are very careful about Covid safety protocols. It was super easy to book an eye exam appointment, and Dr. Badyal (optometrist) was professional. Mo (optician) was super helpful and knowledgeable. All other staff were also helpful. The environment of the store is friendly, and all the staff are available to help you, but at the same time they don’t bother you. They give you a sanitized tray, which you put the frames that you try inside it, and they sanitize all the frames afterwards. They have great deals and variety of frames. I highly recommend this place.

I bought two pairs of glasses from Clearly.ca. Everything was fine, they shipped and even had them delivered on a Sunday. Three days after, they removed a second payment from my account. After I called them, they gave me a reason saying that it was simply the hold on the funds and it was the real payment. But they did not refund the original amount. My bank told me it was actually two separate transactions. It’s now two weeks later, I’m still waiting for my money and no one knows what’s going on. I’m calling a lawyer tomorrow to see what I can do. Suffice to say that Clearly will never get any more of my business.

Worst glasses I’ve ever had. I paid extra for polarization and they did such a poor job. It’s uneven and blotchy. I went in 3-4 time to talk to them about it and every time I went in the “guy” that had to look at them wasn’t available or would be back in 20min. So now I have to buy new glasses. Stay away. Haven't got an eye exam in 4.5 years. The people made it quick and easy. Got me in super early as well. I originally wanted to keep my glasses and just put my new prescription in. They unfortunately do not do that. I had Majid help me out suggesting different frames for my face. I ended up getting the exact same frame (couldn't part ways after 4.5 years). Super cheap and affordable for anyone who doesn't have coverage.

I've been a Clearly customer for many years and never really had any problems. In 2013 I bought a pair of Ray Bans which I still use for work. It turns out the lenses did not match the prescription in my order. I verified this at two places, Olympic Village Eye Care and Factory Optical. I emailed customer service and did not receive a reply. I called customer service and they offered a 20% off coupon, which I guess is kind of nice, although their site sends you a 40% off coupon if you leave something in your cart. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was promised a call within eight hours. I did not receive a call. I went to the store in Kits, and it was a strange experience. The representative I spoke to looked up my order number, and came back with a print out saying the prescription was as it should be, but would not give me the print out. As the lenses were noted to have a different prescription by two independent optometrist offices, this likely means that either the equipment Clearly uses is inaccurate, or that the representative was lying. Anyway, I guess this is the first customer experience I have had since 2011 and it was absolutely terrible. I will not be buying glasses from Clearly anymore, and will advise my family and friends of my experience. I also recommend getting your glasses checked if you have ordered from Clearly next time you have an eye exam. I've been using my glasses in front of a computer for more than five years and having a more powerful prescription might have affected my vision. Hopefully this was just a blip and not a common occurrence.

I first came to this location two years ago when my friend needed new glasses and I also decided to get some new frames as well since it happened to be a black friday weekend. Mo helped us choose our glasses that time. This year again, I needed to update my lenses but unfortunately due to Covid, I was told that Im no longer able to switch my lenses but would have to get new frames/lenses (clearly's policy). Coincidentally, Mo was helping me again and he went out of his way to see if clearly still had stock of my old frames since I liked them very much and also helped me find a new pair again. First off they have an excellent programme to make everyone safe during the COVID situation- sanitizers, health questions ( basic screening) and a bit of information about what to do inside the store. Directed to Selena who did a terrific job problem solving with me & after a few checks with measurements & she had a solution! Perfect!! Also had another pair with same issue-she took care of that too! Can’t say enough good things about the terrific service! FYI. I’m a very frequent shopper online with Clearly & only these two needed a little adjustment! No hassle, no problems..just Stellar experience!

Purchased a pair of glasses a few years ago and the experience was good. Went in to purchase recently and they didn't have any record of my account, which was fine. i gave them my new prescription and they set up a new account for me. I then went back a few weeks later to purchase a pair of computer glasses and they had my old prescription and couldn't locate my new one. No one was sure why they didn't have the one from the glasses that I just purchased. They told me that they would have to contact my optometrist to get the new prescription and get the "add" number. They left a voicemail that they now had the "add", but I didn't have time to deal with them again, so went through the call centre. They didn't have any record of this information and told me that they too would have to contact my optometrist. Given that my optometrist also sells glasses, you can tell that they were not happy with getting all these calls from Clearly. Finally got an "add" number, but it was only for one eye and and they couldn't confirm if this would work for both (basically told me to just use the same add and see if it worked!). Still trying to buy a pair of computer glasses weeks later. They may be cheap, but they have terrible customer service.

Great service until the sale was made, delays with no follow up. Called Mo and when he got around to calling back he made no apology, in fact his response was " I can't possibly follow up on every order? So I cancelled my order by email, which was processed with the apology for a delay. The delay was not my concern, the service received from Mo was. When I sent a complaint to the clearly website I received a response: "welcome back to Clearly... sorry your order was cancelled..... " Are you kidding me? Get it together Clearly - the complaint is about the service received by Mo at your West 4th location! . . . . Sept 19 and still no phone call from Clearly after a promise on Sept 17 of a call within 8 hrs.

Nice place. Not sure if there is parking for this place, we parked on the street and paid with the meter. The staff are very friendly, optometrist was awesome! They did all the pre-screening tests, even for a child including pressure test and colour tests and the 3d-tests. They also took a pic of the back of the eye! Which I found amazing and was very impressed! The best part is for children under 10, the tests are completely free, msp pay for it. There's a form u have to fill and sign to allow them to charge it to msp, and the free eye tests for kids is once every 2 years or u pay $50 if u come before your 2 years end. Adults pay $95 per test. Glasses for under 10years is also free up-to a certain amount, otherwise u top up the difference. They sanitise all the glasses ???? you touch and try on. Even the machines are sanitised after each patient. There's a limit on how many people can be at the store at a time and u have to have your mask on full time. If a child is being tested then only 1 parent can be with the child, so a limit of 2 people... Smallest size if glasses they have is a size 46 so that for like 6to 7 yr old with a slightly wider face, didn't see any glasses smaller than that for younger children innthe display....Highly recommend this place.

very easy, computers available to compare your selection. Look online, give the salesperson the model, they show you where on the racks it is. Easy to deal with, they can give you the best deal (ie: if an online sale expired, they can still apply the discount). Only negative would be the dim lighting. The lighting in the store gets darker as you move toward the back.

had to return my first set to them just 6mo in due to scratching...despite having the best coating protection i could...they did tell me they have a new lens provider but couldn't provide details. ...once you review the cbc investigation into this rip off industry (frame are really only $10-$30 and lenses $30-50, and go to rip off extraordinaire pearl vision or their counterparts lenscrafters who want 800-1000 for a pair of progressives with transitions, you'll never go anywhere else...kudos to clearly for at not gouging us as the competitors are.

The reading glasses I got from Clearly made me dizzy and I thought I was not used to wearing reading glasses. During my recent visit to my optometrist, I was told the prescription in the glasses is different from the prescription I provided to them. Never experienced anything like that from other eyewear stores. Shoppers beware......... Stay away from them.

Looking for transitions, best look at other stores. I went into the 4th ave store so I could try on the glasses, I was looking to buy progressive transitions glasses, I had my last pair from lenscrafters, I was very happy with them but needed updated prescription and prices at Clearly are very good. I called and talked to Angie the manager about my glasses, after 2 years they are all streaky ,she suggested I come talk to Mo the Optometrist, he told me if I wear my glasses every day that they may last a year only, maybe 2 , if you only wear once in while good for 3 years!!!! I do wish someone had stood me when buying them. I never understood the coating of the transitions was only guaranteed for one year, my last pair still are good and I had them 5 years. Don`t buy transitions here!

For my glasses purchase I was helped by Rachel Miranda (I asked for her card), and she was great! Helped guide my choice in frames, lenses, and explained the whole ordering and shipping process. Overall, my experience was fantastic. Not only were my new glasses relatively inexpensive, they also arrived within days of my order. I stopped in on my way home last week for some new frames and booked an eye exam for later in the week. The staff were inviting and friendly, their COVID policies are great and keep you safe. They will work hard to make sure you get the best product and the best deal :) Their frame selection is pretty great and they have numerous client stations, everything is done online with you. On their website you can virtually try on frames which is pretty handy if you can’t make it in to the store. My eye exam with Dr.Badyal was thorough and my pre-test screening was easy. They were fast, efficient and most importantly - they listen to you. Great conversation and a lot of laughs, I will definitely go back.

In one particular instance Amemeh provided very good advise in customizing my computer glasses to my particular needs. After a week using the multi focal I really didn't like It. I went back to the store to return it and the sales person push me into keeping them and trying it for a longer period. Now the one month trial period is gone, I don't wear the glasses, and today I have noticed they are broken after a little over a month. Never again!

Sanitized and masked she said “no problem, I can help you” Wow..she explained what number to look for...I have been wearing glasses for 60 years...I never knew they were sized...no wonder I hated the process of trying on...I was probably putting on the wrong sizes all these years. The store has tons of styles (with different price ranges) to choice from in addition, to the hundreds of styles online. It was extremely fast and easy to order a pair of sunglasses in store. Good selection of glasses at a cheap price but service in the store was atrocious. After having absolutely no help from the 4 staff in the store I decided on a set of frames which I put on hold. The next day I went in for my eye test which was good but then when I went to put through an order for my glasses. This is when I was told that they we not available, not a great start considering I was told that they had been put on hold for me. Then again with absolutely no help from any of the staff I had to go through and find some new glasses. I nearly had to jump over to the other side of the counter myself to put through the transaction for 2 sets of glasses, maybe if I had started throwing $100 bills on the floor I would have got some service. I’m not sure if they get commission on sales but I really hope that they didn’t on my purchase. I will purchase from CC again but only online, I will only use the store to go and try on glasses and then I will head home and order them myself.
