Here you will be able to see all the feddbacks of people like you who bought the products of Glazer's Camera (Optics Shop) in the territory close to Watson Lake (Canada).
Right now this firm receives a score of 4.6 over 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is practically the best one, and it is founded on a high number of scores, so we can conclude that the evaluation is very credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Optics Shop is included in the category of Camera store.
I really a0preciate the technical knowledge of the team. They have a good selection of pro cameras. The store is clean so the focus is on the gear, cleean lines, no clutter.
A photographer's biggest and best toy store. Daniel provided the best customer service. Well worth the trip from California. Glazer's needs to open a store in SF Bay Area!!
Great place to get you're new camera and get quick repair done to your camera
Every major city in the US has what I call "The Camera Store", which is to say, the top pro pro shop in the area. In Seattle, this is Glazers. There really isn't any other place you can go and expect to find the full range of every pro system in stock and lots of other goodies to boot. Non-pro shoppers, note that the sales staff know what they are talking about (even if it isn't what you want to hear), they all shoot better than you (and me!) so listen to their advice, don't treat them like mall staff.
Great shop. Really helpful staff.
Awesome place for cameras
They were very helpful with all of my questions. Great, clean store too!
meh
Always had great service. Ordered equipment online even and received it next day. It's my go to for last minute or high quality selections.
Great... nice new digs....
Hunter was so helpful. Instead of him trying to up sale me on something I did really want and could not really afford... He gave me options to make sure things are really what I want and need
Free parking made it easy. They had what I needed. In and out zoom!
I've only been to Glazer's Camera once and overall I had a very negative experience. I called first and the person I spoke with quickly told me that the item I wanted on Glazer's website was actually out of stock, no longer available and thier website was wrong. After getting off the phone with him I thought "he didn't offer to look into it further or check the stock himself." So I tried ordering it online anyway and it went through. I soon got an email that my item was ready to pick up in the store. I drove all the way there to pick it up only to find out that the $150 mail in rebate that was to accompany the item and advertised on the Glazer's website was not. I was told "sorry" and offered nothing except that I could return the item. Lesson learned - I can not trust what Glazer's employees say and I can not trust Glazer's website.
Great place if you are into photography. Great service.
Great place to go if you need new or used camera gear.
Hunter at Glazers Camera was extraordinary knowledgeable and helpful when it came to the equipment, Awesome guy to talk to If you ever shop there
Very informative staff! Jeff was extremely helpful.
My go to camera store!
Glazer's is supposedly "the place to go" for camera gear in Seattle area but my experiences differ and I would recommend a friend against going there. In the process of deciding upon and purchasing a prosumer camera the sales experience felt hurried. While happy with the camera, I've come to discover things about the camera as informed by the salesperson that are flat out wrong or inaccurate. A significant selling point of buying from Glazers and the camera I ultimately chose (Sony A99) was the large availability of rental lenses -- as informed by salesperson. Only when I later called to rent a lens the first thing informed by the rental department was very low availability of Sony mount lenses, stating Sony is not a long established brand. In another incident I called my camera salesperson about availability of LED light kits. Again, I felt rushed and he encouraged me to visit the store because they have many LED lights available in stock. He referred me to their lighting person. I made the trip over from Eastside only to find they had very few models available, none of which worked for me (a very low-end, cheap consumer model and a couple very high-end / too large models). I ended-up going to Talls in Bellevue and they had exactly what I was looking for. Annoyed because Talls is much closer to me, I called Glazers and asked for the manager to describe my experience but got only voicemail. I left a message but Glazers has yet to call me back. (It's been a couple months now as I write this so safe to assume I'll never hear back.) It's fascinating to me that Talls -- a mall camera store -- has consistently given me far better service and information than the highly rated Glazers. It makes me wonder if Glazers is simply 'the cool' place to go among professionals and serious amateurs. Such associations are unimportant to me and I'd rather give my business to businesses that take the time to help me make well informed decisions, and that value my time and business. In my experience Glazers is not that place.
Last 4 times I have been there they either don't have it in stock, or they don't seem to have knowledge of the item. To the point I purchased the item before and now they say they "never sold" the item in the past.
Fantastic inventory. Great sales. Knowledgeable sales folk.
The only professional camera shop in Seattle for rentals and in-town purchases, glad they are around!
The B&H of Seattle. Very nice store with parking. Only complaint was the lack of used film camera selection.
Best camera shop in Seattle
These guys know their stuff, have everything and really want to help you make awesome images.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Very knowledgeable sales staff. Spent over an hour with me to get me the right fit. Recommended I not by anything but the base level of Sony A6000 camera until I got used to it and decided what I wanted to do next. Pointed me to a class they were having the following week as well that they thought I would find useful for my trip. Going back again!
I like it hear
Great store with a huge variety of gear! You can find anything you want!
Unbelievable choice of goods.
Glazer's has everything the photographer or videographer might need for any job.
Great customer service the employees are all amazing!
They haven't always been fair in used pricing or accurate in their estimates, forgetting that we will see how much they end up selling our used merch for - but they have made sure to have things in stock for all our shoots. I'll be honest though, they have misplaced store credits on a few occasions as well as a store trade-in. That was a while ago however and we understand how difficult it is to manage a circus - it's great that they are doing well against online competition. In the end though, it's important to have a sticker supplier of quality gear so if our losses have contributed to the success then so be it.
If you're a photography, IF YOU'RE A FILM PHOTOGRAPHER - you need to make a pilgrimage to Glazer's Camera. Knowledgeable and helpful staff, great selection, and a well-stocked film fridge!!
Wow, what a place. This is the place to buy cameras and camera equipment. The sales staff know their stuff.
This place is like paradise. They have amazing caramas and lenses. Well recommend. The entire team is very helpful
An excellent range of photographic equipment with highly knowledgeable staff.
Great selection of camera gear and very easy to walk around and browse.
Large selection of gear including on camera and off camera flashes, softboxes, backdrops, tripods, and bags. They also have classes available as well. The staff are very knowledgeable and eager to help whether you are a newbie or professional. And if you need rental gear that is available right down the road as well! They have a small parking garage with free parking which is convenient but they only havr a few small stalls under the building structure. Big vehicles may have a difficult time fitting!
Great staff and great selection of film supplies.
Everything camera, everything msrp $$$$$. Great staff, a little stand off if you don't look like you have money, but no reason to blame 'em for stereotyping with the service and knowledge they are able to provide.
Great selection of gears
Super helpful employees who are very willing to answer questions about photography. They also rent gear at their second location.
Staff are always pleasant, knowledgeable & very helpful. I'm happy to be a regular, repeat customer, and they have the best prices . Never had a problem in the past few years I've been buying there
I've been at Glazers many times, for their workshops and photo walks. The staff is incredible. I went in browsing for used gear. Dion was very helpful, spoke to me about available lenses without any pressure to make a sale. He let me try out stuff patiently. I tried a fuji lens, then came home, after some more research ordered it online so I can pick it up tomorrow.
Got an in store discount, so I'm happy lol
Knowledgeable staff great friendly help
The new store is open and easy to navigate. The staff is great & I Love my new tripod.
Customer service isn't great unless you're spending big bucks on a new camera. They've got a good selection of film & photo paper, and are pretty much the only ones who sell it in Seattle. I went in for a cable shutter release last week to replace a great programable one I got for $20 last year on Amazon. They only had a nearly pointless shutter release for $30, and a $100 intervalometer. Ten bucks more for a tenth of the features is ridiculous. This store is not for amateurs.
Definitely your place for high end cameras and accessories. But not a lot for those who want to dabble and not go broke.
Expensive.. like really expensive on some items, but that is how the market goes. The staff I found to need to be addressed to get assistance, I walked around for 20 minutes trying to find the right cable. Once I did get someone to help me though they were knowledgeable and got me to the right place.
So I've been into this store at least 10 times in the past year. If you find yourself longing for anything photo or video related...glazers is your answer. Ken is always there when I come in and ROCKS!! Have never left glazer's unsatisfied. They have the most beautiful assortment of Leica cameras & were able to put a RED komodo in my hands as well. I love this store! The whole staff is awesome really & so many accessories. The REI of photo/video. Not to mention their film/lighting assortment upstairs. They also do repairs & sensor cleanings.
Great staff and great selection. Top notch service every time!
I had never been here, but found that they have a lot of items in-stock. Staff was great and helped me find a replacement shutter release for my camera. And answered all my questions about other options. I also asked about rentals and will probably be renting a lens with a friend very soon.
If Glazer's does not have it, it is likely you don't need it. Best photo rental place in Seattle, hands down. The retail store was recently rebuilt and now has much more space. The folks here are helpful and knowledgeable.
Only problem with this camera shop is that my budget cant handle me visiting them. Love the knowledge and helpful staff, ready to field any question from the novice to pro. When I ask stupid questions they treat me with respect, when I ask hard pro questions they always find the guy in the shop that dealt with that. Only issue is their in store sale pricing versus online sale pricing is deceptive in how they calculate tax, which adds up on specialty lenses, they need to fix that.
I can still buy 4x5 film here. It’s hard to get more old school than that.
Best camera store in seattle
Always stop by here to stock up on film when I'm in town. Great prices. Great service. Also a solid selection of used gear.
I mostly go there to drool on the little Leica exhibit.
Ken was great ????
What a beautiful shop! Staff was nice, the layout is roomy and there is so much to see. Plenty for beginners and veterans.
Fantastic pro and prosumer camera shop, great customer service.
A Seattle staple for photo and video camera needs as well as lighting and studio needs. Staff is knowledgeable and a nice inventory. Store underwent a nice rebuild and nice modern feel. Prices are fair. These days, the independent camera store has been disappearing more and more, yet Glazer's remains.
Easily one of the best camera stores in Seattle. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would consider this store to be the B&H of Seattle with its wide range of photography, videography, and lighting equipment. Safe to say I'll be visiting back again multiple times if my budget allows
Best camera and gear shop in Seattle by leaps and bounds. They are buy used gear and dispense really good camera and video advice.
Fantastic camera store run by fantastic people. I bought from B&H Photo this last year and regret not supporting these fantastic people. Don’t make my same mistake. They have great deals on amazing new and used gear. Go check them out!
Great folks here, great selection of products and the store is spacious.
Best camera store in Seattle. Period.
Ken Roeder was very helpful and knowledge
The moment Canon announced the EOS RP, I knew it had to be mine! I walked into Glazer's and it was a comfortable and respectful chat that led me to pre-order the right kit for me (the body with a 24-70mm f2.8 lens) and my budget. Sure, their prices might not always beat B&H but I think it's worth spending the difference to keep a local, family-owned and well-regarded Seattle institution open. Shouts out to Hunter and Kamali, they knew their stuff, were friendly as anything, and never made me feel like I was getting sold something I didn't need.
A good place to go
Great store! A geeks paradise
Top notch camera store. Well stocked.. Knowledgeable staff. Excellent service. Great rental service.
A super store packed to the rafters with great camera gear. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The had the Canon camera batteries I needed in stock.
I have spent thousands of dollars at this store in the past (at the old store across the street) but at this new location I received horrible customer service! ( but you will get good customer service unless you fit a certain description or they know you ) but they do have a big selection and Quality equipment. Was also followed by security for no reason. You will never get a good deal here either. From now on I will be shopping online. Too bad to see a good store go downhill.
Nice and clean and easy layout bit geared more for pro's more than anyone intermediate or beginner. Also their polaroid selection is literally just film. Which is okay, but could be improved
See Chad he is very knowledgeable and does not hesitate to help you!
Truly a top notch business! These guys are great at having anything and everything you need on the shelf. Great stock on new/used gear, 35mm/120 film, printing supplies, studio, video, and just about any accessory you can think of. Absolutely worth supporting this great business during this pandemic. All of the staff are wonderful, knowledgable, and super helpful. I work at a camera store here in Canada and can absolutely say the team at Glazer's does what they do very very well. Much love from the team here at Kerrisdale Cameras!
Glazer's has knowledgeable staff that meet the perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. Their selection is fantastic and they have a very respectable warranty on used items. It's great to have such a fantastic brick and mortar store in the age of online shopping!
Great selection of photography gear. A fairly good selection of used items including the occasional film cameras. Also a great place to go to drool over Leica cameras and wish you could afford them. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable.
Fast friendly service. Lots of inventory.
Excellent store. Seems like it's one of the few remaining photo stores.
The ultimate camera store in WA State
Massive selection of camera equipment and a helpful staff.
Great staff and lots of stock.
Wow. A great place for a beginner and pro photographer. I got to know more about photography and how much do I need to save to get my next lens. Thanks
Everything you need in one place. Helpful staff. Great resource.
I love Glazer's Camera. I have purchased lots of video, sound, and lighting equipment from them, and they have the best customer service ever! Special Kudos to Cody Hurd - who has guided me in the selection, purchase, and working knowledge of much video gear, and I so appreciate it! - Laurie Lyon Videographer, Multimedia Specialist
The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about anything related to photography and videography. They are really helpful to provide you enough details so that you can evaluate different options and buy the right thing.
Really nice store ⭐️
Employees are helpful! I came in with questions and Mr. Baker explained things in a way I could understand. I know understand my lens much better. Thank you!
The sales reps are patient
Best camera store in Seattle with a very smart and helpful staff.
I have had two shopping experiences at Glazers and they were both great. The sales people were very friendly and quick to let me try things out. They even let me take a couple cameras outside to see how they performed in natural light. The only somewhat negative vibe I got from the place was an unusual old man who was making jokes about the camera I bought being one of the ones that 'fell off the truck.' It was in very poor taste, but obviously not true, the sales girl gave him kind of an indulgent 'you're such a jerk' head shake and smiled at me. My recommendation is to go here and talk to the women, they have been wonderful!
Friendly staff who really know their stuff!
Great service, helpful staff, and excellent prices for cameras.
This place is heaven for photographers and film makers. The people are very smart and extremely helpful. The gear there is high quality and the service is immaculate. Have lucky to have such an amazing store in Seattle!!
Very friendly helpful staff. Most prices comparable to online stores
Hunter was friendly, informative, and most appreciated, he was candid. We left with a camera and some accessories completely satisfied. Huge selection, great atmosphere, easy location to get to, free parking, I can't think of a thing that would make it a better retail experience.
Great attentive and knowledgable service! Be sure to check online the lens you are buying to verify price. I was looking at a Rekonin and they were selling it for 1k but bought directly from Rekonin is 700, they price matched. This location has amazing selection of cameras, lenses, and all types of gear.
Extremely helpful staff and lots of product
Great customer service, staff very knowledgeable and helpful nothing was to much trouble.
Horrible service, good selection.
Knowledgeable people, great gear.
Love the new location!
Excellent store! I recently bought a Sony RX100 V from them. The experience was superb during the purchase with very knowledgable and helpful staff. After the purchase, I found that the camera had a defect, took it back to the store hoping them would help me to send back for warranty. To my pleasant surprise, they replaced it with a new unit on the spot for me. I can't think of a better store than that, even BH in NYC could not match them.
Great place to buy camera gear
Really great selection of products and helpful staff.
They are great. Sometimes it is hard to find some help. They need to ask around and at least let you know they are there to help and answer any questions you have. I don't want to be pestered, but I also don't want to be unnoticed and have them pretend I don't exist.
I have got helped by Jonathan. A very nice and helpful guy over there. Thanks.
the guy was a tool
One of the worst customer services I’ve ever experienced, staff extremely unfriendly and not helpful AT ALL. I had bad experiences before with glazers just buying film and what not, but since it’s so close to my house I decided to leave a piece of equipment there to fix, it was a minor problem, after days of me trying to contact them I finally pull the plug and ask for my equipment back, they return with more problems, 2 missing screws and two lose heads that the staff handed to me following with “yeah I don’t know what’s up with that”
A great camera store for both new and used equipment. Very knowledgeable staff. My go to camera store.
Very knowledgeable staff, large selection, and reasonable pricing. My go to if I need something now.
Excellent equipment selection
It's like B&H, for the West coast. They've got a great selection of basically anything you're looking for, and very helpful staff. Everyone seemed really eager to help me out, and answer any questions I had. And when it came to answering questions, everyone seemed knowledgeable about the areas that they were in. I'll definitely be coming back here whenever I need something for film shooting, or pro video, or pro photography, or okay you get the idea.
The Glazer's Camera main store has excellent service. But the lighting and supplies store has the worst of all. I walked in a lot of times and they NEVER greeted me. They have 2-3 employees standing around the cashier but never come to you and ask if you need any help. And even if I came up to any of them. Their response were minimal and just acted like they did not care at all. And they closed earlier than the displayed store hours which is ridiculous.
Great local camera shop, well curated collection of equipment. However they're not enormous like some shops, so keep that in mind!
Good photography store
Best help around...please support them they are good people with lots of camera knowledge
Great service, great and knowledgeable staff, amazing selection and prices. Got my tamron 24-70 2.8 for significantly under market value, and it was in perfect shape. I absolutely love that lens. I also got the nikon 70-300 4.5-5.6 g ed afs vr over the afp, as that what they suggested for my d600s. Also got a nikon sb910. All gear in perfect shape
Always there when I need them for a rental, friendly with fair policies. Always my first choice for gear rental.
Great store! Might be the best one in seattle. Very friendly and helpfull staff and they got lots of good brands and items in stock!
Huge product selection. Friendly and knolegable staff.
Great selection of gear here. They just moved into their new store across the street and it is incredible. It now has a more professional and business like feel to it.
Good selection of photo gear and very friendly and helpful service.
Great camera store. They have everything associated with cameras and their gear. They will buy used camera equipment too. It's hard not to spend money in here if you're a camera geek. Parking can be tough depending on when you go. It's all street parking that you will have to pay for.
Lots of photography equipment; excellent selections and great prices
Excellent store, I went there and had an excellent service and support for my buy
They are helpful with out being pushy. The staff is well informed and patient with questions. A great place to buy photo equipment.
New lease terms - it is something! I went to him 2 hours to find out that they have new terms. I pre-called them, they were not warned about these conditions. Not everyone on the card is always available for more than 2000$. I won't use this service. 2 years I was with them. But now Thanks.
Really nice and friendly staff.
Friendly and helpful!
Literally the best camera place in town! Saved my life by having a part for my GoPro I couldn’t find anywhere else! Really cool shop and the employees went above and beyond to help me out. Will be back for all my camera needs! Thanks again!
Great experience thanks to Dion who helped me buy my first mirrorless camera. He gave a thorough comparison of the different systems' advantages. He found me a well-suited model (a Fujifilm X-T30) which wasn't the camera I expected to buy, but turned out to be a sublime match. I loved how Dion took the features I was looking for in a camera and clearly demonstrated them in action. He was also able to draw on his career experience to describe how these cameras handled in professional settings. Thanks for all the help!
If you have not been to the new store you must stop by. It's an amazing experience and the staff are all extremely knowledgeable.
The only store for pros & serious amateur photographers.
Super helpful local store
Friendly, helpful staff. If this place doesn't have it, chances are you don't need it.
Great place, lots of gear any photographer's dream
I FREAKIN' LOVE GLAZERS CAMERA! From day one when I was such a wide-eyed boy in a candy store, eveyone in there has always treated me with such respect and honesty. The thing I love most about this store aside from all the employees always being informative, passionate and just their willingness to help you is outstanding but they all have such a unbias opinion on camera brands. I think I went in wanting to buy a Nikon or Canon coming from the XT1, needed something a more in the semi-pro realm. They really listened to what I was needing in my camera and they even brought out all the cameras that I was looking and we did some field testing. Devin has shown me nothing but outstanding customer service as well as everyone else that has helped me through the years. I feel so grateful to have such a rad camera store in Seattle.
Very friendly and knowlegable group of people. I went in asking for suggestions on a good camera for beginners and received a ton of input. They also provide photography classes for reasonable prices.
Great shop and staff, always there to help.
Helpful, friendly staff. Competitive prices.I get all my camera gear here.
I've been shopping at Glazer's since moving to Seattle (and starting my pro-hobbyist photography career) about eight years ago now. From my first visit -- to buy my first-ever prime lens -- to last week's D750 purchase, I can honestly say I've always been treated with care and respect, always greeted, and never made to feel silly for not knowing some basic mechanic of shooting (hey, it happens when you're self-taught). In fact, one of the ways I've grown my skills the most as a photographer has been through conversations with thier staff, especially Laura, Cody, and Kamali -- which is something you won't get through any online retail purchase that might save you a modest amount on the purchase price. Don't go anywhere else!
Very friendly staff - I learned a lot about gimbals during the visit.
Nice deal of cameras
Something for everyone there.
I’d like to give a shout out to to Glazers, in particularly a few of their staff...Daniel continues to update me on my Sony gear offering me new tips and tricks to try out as well as new gear out there. As of recently the company I work for Fathom Seafood and I are working to educate people about the live seafood industry through videos. Jordan, Chrispy, and Hunter continue to field the numerous questions I have as I move into the videography world. They provide me with knowledge from their years of being in the industry, resources to checkout, as well as educating me on different types of gear and why they vary in cost which help me make the best choice with the budget I have. Thank you glazers for having such an outstanding crew.
Great service! Dion was very knowledgeable and didn't try to oversell anything. My wife will likely be taking some classes here.
Strong selection of new cameras and accessories. Helpful staff. Used equipment selection varies. The move to the new building has eased the crowded feeling. Be sure to check out their classes.
Cool spot
Really the only place to get photographic equipment in the area anymore. It has everything from basic starting equipment for learners, to equipment for advanced users. The new layout of the store is nice.
Thank you to the two film camera experts me and my boyfriend talked to. We were fulfilling our bucket list item of filling a roll of film road tripping along the Pacific Coast Highways and needed our film camera fixed. They were able to help us choose the right type of film and fix the camera using an old secret technique. they taught us what to do if the shutter gets stuck again. If you hit the camera on the bottom of your shoe as hard as you can, it unsticks the shutter lol. sounds crazy, but it works every time!
Great Camera store and knowledge staff! Thank you for your help while I was working in Seattle!
My favorite place to spend $$$.
Staff knows what they are talking about but I have NEVER had a polite person helping me. Every time they are rude and make you feel dumb.
Super nice. I tried out a vertical grip and a lens and they never made it feel like it was a hassle or waste of their time to be helping me out. They also told me they do lens rentals which are super easy and inexpensive ways to try out a lens. I will definitely be going here again for any gear I need!
Very helpful & friendly.
AMAZING SERVICE. Do not buy a used camera from anywhere else.
Lenses always in stock, never had any issue with renting anything.
Have done multiple rentals and bought used equipment. They are the go-to place for downtown Seattle film or photographic needs
Amazing place for buying camera equipment.
Very helpful staff and a well stocked store! My new favorite shop for picking up 35mm film.
Absolutely fantastic customer service and subject matter expertise in cameras, camera gear, and accessories. The staff is respectful and professional.
Amazing customer service provided by Dion.
The only pro gear store left in town, as far as I know.
Awesome camera store. The people working there were really nice and no pressure. They have a huge selection of everything you could need, at least for us amateurs. Tons of professional looking gear but I don't know much about that world so consider my review in that light.
Besides all the beautifully displayed video and photo equipment in their ground floor showroom; the loose film rolls and lighting gear upstairs; and the helpful and friendly staff, perhaps one of the best features of Glazer's is their integration of the fine folks from the erstwhile Phototronics repair shop. They can fix almost anything, and their prices are fair. The service life of my video and audio equipment has been extended immeasurably because of their wonderful work.
It's great to have a physical store in Seattle to be able to go in person and see/test the product prior to purchase. I have visited the store many times for different needs and was never disappointed. This is the BH of PNW.
Candy store for serious photographers. Incredible staff and some rarities if you look close.
Okay, staff here is amazing. Incredibly knowledgable and educative of their products. I spent a lot of time talking with multiple people, ultimately helping me determine the right equipment for my needs, from which there is endless product to choose from. Selection here is unmatched. Highly recommend every aspect of Glazer's. Needless to say, I purchased a really nice camera.
An awesome, local, camera store. The staff is knowledgeable, and always available to help you spend your money with great advice.
Went in to buy a cable. They were quick and helpful. Pretty much same price as Amazon and got to try it before buying.
They are the best camera shop in the city hands down probably one of the best in the country. From knowledgeable passionate sales associates, great service, awesome rentals department and some really interesting looking educational programs!
In short, they are either super ignorant or not truthful. I would not recommend dealing from them. Checked with them once before and once after placing an important order, got confirmation both times and they ended up cancelling my order claiming it was hold for someone else. Because they were so sure the item was gonna be mine, I cancelled my b&h pre-order I placed 3 months ago and ended up loosing my position in the queue, which would cause me further delay. This was what I worried about before I placed the order and that's also why I called twice to confirm it before I cancelled my other order. It's ok to make mistakes but it's awful to not pay attention 3 times. Once when they mark it as in stock and twice when they confirmed and told me there will be no problem with the order. This is my one and only experience with the store and it was not pleasant. I would think twice before dealing with them because if they cannot handle the orders right, I am not sure what's point.
A great, full service camera shop with an outstanding selection.
The de facto standard. People who understand how cameras work can be found here. That's harder to find these days.
As a beginner looking for a used lens, I was not given any help in that regard. I was unaware of certain nuances with lens technology, and because of this lack of knowledge, I was not politely corrected or educated about it, rather the salesperson made fun of my lack of knowledge to my face for his own amusement, and it was only later that I realized this through my own research. I will never do business with Glazer's again because of how unhelpful and insulting the salesperson was. He absolutely drove me into the arms of Adorama and B&H, and if I ever needed personal service again or wanted to try a lens before I buy it, I will go to Kenmore Camera. I urge all those reading this to consider doing the same.
This place is awesome! Great selection and an even better staff
I call it the B&H of Seattle. Excellent pro selection
Best selection of Nikon, Canon, Lumix, and Leica camera systems in Seattle. Great staff that love talking cool tech.
These folks are Superstars! Thank you Daniel!
Great store
Dion was very helpful and answered all my questions without pushing anything. The selection was mind boggling, although they were out of one thing I had come for. They had another option and the salesman checked it would work with my camera.
Can't say enough good things about this place and staff. I stopped in yesterday, June 12, after making a two-hour drive with the intention of trading in some old camera gear. I am severely deaf and masks can make it difficult to communicate (I usually rely on lip-reading to help). Multiple staff members went out of their way to communicate everything I need in a way that made me feel like a valued and important customer. Not only that, I received more in trade value than I expected. If you live in Western Washington, do yourself a favor: skip Amazon and go visit Glazer's in person. Kudos to a great store and great staff.
Yay for being able to go to an actual place and talk to actual people who are actually super helpful and actually be able to buy actual stuff!
Large selection, helpful staff, on site parking is a nice plus! Couldnt be happier with my experience.
Amazing camera shop
This is a dangerous store, hard to go and not spend too much because you found the perfect thing you didn't know you needed. Seriously, a great camera store with an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. I've purchased most of my gear from Glazers since moving to Seattle, this store has few rivals.
I came in today for the first time. Salesman who was helping me was very helpful and nice. The store is clean and plentiful. Prices were lower than I expected for a camera shop! I paid for street parking but as I approached the store, there was a sign for store parking, so it looks like you probably don't have to pay for parking.
Just don't
All photographers love Glazers!
Love the selection and how informative and helpful the staff are.
When I am in Seattle I go here at least twice a week and spend around 2 hours talking with the knowledgeable staff about every photography question that I can come up with. Their used selection equipment is good and reasonably priced. They pay well on trade-ins, but will not take damaged or outdated equipment.
Super helpful in helping me try and pick out a new camera.
Unhelpful and kind of a rip off. I’ve been to Glazer’s a few times now but I don’t think I’ll go again. Recently I took my camera to them to be sent in for a repair. They sent it in but then they couldn’t tell me what was wrong with it they could only quote me a huge repair cost. Given the value of the camera was barely twice this cost and no one could tell me what problem warranted me spending upwards of $500 on it I asked for it to be sent back to me. When it was sent to me they put a restriction on the delivery so only someone over 21 could sign for it. Being a college student who lives alone I had no way to sign for it as I am not 21. I had to have it returned to them and then go down and pick it up myself. This process took an insane SEVEN WEEKS. That’s seven weeks without a camera for me which is really tough as photography is part of my work and I really need access to high quality equipment. I paid $25 to be without a camera for 7 weeks and nothing even was fixed :( in addition when I went in to pick it up I offered to sell them one of my old lenses. This lens is worth $150-$200 used and I have used it maybe 5 times. They offered me $65 for it.... I also overall got the impression they weren’t really interested in helping me because I’m a college student who doesn’t always have a ton of money to spend :/ TLDR: save your time and money and buy and sell online
Very helpful sales staff does not work on commission.
Great, friendly service
The staff at Glazer's Camera is amazing. They are INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and friendly, come and bring all of your questions. They'll make sure you have the right product for your needs. Even if that means an hour, two hours, testing products and accessories, whatever. They won't push anything on you, but rather will work within your budget. Don't need to actually purchase anything? Check out their rental department!! 10/10 would recommend.
A true professional's camera store, extremely well stocked and knowledgeable helpful staff. By far the best inventory of lighting and other studio gear in the Seattle area. Want Profoto? Check. Want a rolling light stand? Check. Want Apple boxes? Check. Want seamless? Check. I could go on but you get the idea.
Super friendly staff, always willing to help. They are extremely knowledgeable on the items they sell and they try to steer you in the right direction.
I go to Glazer's a couple times a year and I've dropped a decent amount of money there through rentals, in store buys, etc. The fact is, unless you are are some 50 year old Bob Ross looking white guy who buys Leicas just for the brand name you will probably receive extremely poor customer service. The rental guys are great but the in store staff are anything but helpful. I've spent on multiple occasions a hour in the bag department with not a single sales person asking me what I needed. I hate to say it but I rather just save the experience of being "cool kidded" and buy my stuff off BnH. If you are in Seattle go to Camera Tech's in Ballard.
Best brick and mortar camera store in Seattle
Everyone there is super awesome!
Love this place! So many things to see and dream about. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Always extra helpful staff.
Very expensive
Kind of snobby, and feels like they want to take on Adorama & B&H with their big new building, but didn't impress me.
Staff is not very friendly.
Came in with a question about an old camera, left with knowledge and lots of decision making to consider! The man who helped my husband and I was so patient, helpful and informative!
Great place. We were on vacation in Seattle and needed some accessories for our camera. Checked Glazer's Camera out on the Internet, and used the directions to walk there from the Pike's Market area. They had everything imaginable, and the sales clerk was able to find what we were looking for quickly, and have us on our way.
Great selection, they let you try things out too. Knowledgeable staff, enthusiasm for the art and craft of photography. Also a big selection of film and used/vintage gear. In addition to all the latest from just about any brand you can name. Don't forget all the extras.. lights, tripods, batteries, cables, adapters, flashes.. plan on spending some enjoyable time here.
Was able to trouble shoot my defective USB C 3.5mm adapter I got from amazon.
First time in here and the service was fantastic, as I've heard or always is
Hands down the best camera store in Seattle. When you need expert help, when you're shopping for prosumer or better equipment, when you want to actually touch and compare products instead of starting at a web page, and/or when you want to rent something you really need briefly but can't justify buying, this is the place to go.
Very helpful staff, they had what I needed and was on my way.
I told the salesperson I was looking for a camera with very specific features. Fits in pocket, full features, all features accessible with one hand, viewfinder, adjustable aperture and shutter speed, rugged and dependable. With my description he brought me 2 models to demonstrate. Very straightforward, no pressure and right on target. I bought a Canon G15 and it has exceeded my expectations in every way! This is Glazer's reputation in the community and they deserve it.
They run out of a few things after a big sale, but anyone new to photography should start here. Anyone not new to photography already shops here. Very patient and informative staff.
Always friendly staff and a wealth of info from them all.
Expert-level equipment and employees but never talk down to you if you are a novice!
Huge location and friendly staff. They sell professional grade equipment at a fair price which is quite pricey for the average Joe but if you know what you're looking for, this is the place to be.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Excellent social distancing practices without compromising service. Good prices and they aren't ripping you off. Great experience 10/10 would recommend.
Great experience, knowledgeable staff
Love this place, love these people. A pillar of the SLU community and a must-stop every time I'm in Seattle.
Good guys who are knowledgeable.
Great selection of cameras, film and accessories. Staff is hit and miss on service though.
Neither camera I wanted was in stock.
Great selection and a friendly an helpful staff.
I own a video production company in Seattle that specializes in producing live action business videos and I have to say that I'm very lucky to have a place like Glazer's Camera that sells and rents high-quality video production equipment in my backyard. Their prices are usually very comparable to the big online equipment stores if not the exact same, and the fact that I can actually go into Glazer's, play with the items and get my questions answered is exactly why they're always my first, and usually last, stop for sourcing equipment. In fact, the only reason I wouldn't buy something I needed from them would be because it was an item or product line that they simply don't sell.
Nice and professional shop with all my camera needs. Made looking for a diff super easy
Huge shout out to Jason. We came in to look for new lenses for our cameras and he could not have been more patient and helpful. He even let me take the camera outside to test out the lenses he recommended! He was super knowledgeable and provided great insight. He listened to what we wanted/needed and was able to answer our questions. He really knows his stuff! We will definitely be back once we are ready to buy our new lenses. The rest of the staff were super friendly and kind as well.
Awesome staff, picked up a used lens for a great deal! They do mount conversions too!
Great selection of all things photography related plus they host a variety of classes for all proficiency levels.
Unsure of the store, but the rental office could be more accommodating.
Amazing huge camera store selling new and used equipment. Worth a visit!
I went in to buy a Macro lens. They were helpful and quick.
Has a good selection in a pinch, but don't count on them having everything you need on short notice.
Staff is so helpful and attentive!!!
Nice selection of camera gear. Unhelpful sales staff. It took me 10 minutes to just to find someone who would let me check out.
Good inventory and nice people
The staff that works here is knowledgeable and very helpful. Here you'll be able to find the latest gear and accessories, also books, bags and even instant film and used equipment. They have a nice selection of classic film cameras and some more modern equipment at good prices. The staff will help you to find the appropriate gear for your needs and also help you to set it up. One of the best camera shops in Seattle.
Lights, camera and lots of action! This is a candy store for every camera lover from typical to kitschy. You’ll find practically everything you need to meet your photographic needs here. There’s demos, classes and even helpful staff who’ll not only answer your questions but even teach you if needed. Great for everyone from beginner to advanced photographers.
A huge shout out to everyone there! Over the past few months I have gone in and needed anything from gaffers tape to a new lighting kit. Whether it was just rushing in for the emergency role of tape or needing an in depth review of monopods for video I have gotten great service. Also recently went to a workshop, wow I have been missing out!
Paradise Paradise ohh oh oh
Don’t get your camera repaired here. I brought my Sony a7s ii in and was helped by Ken. I asked him what the difference was between sending it in to Sony myself versus having Glazers do it and he said because of their relationship, it could possibly be expedited and that he’d keep me updated throughout. I bit. What happens? No contact for over a month and I come to find out that my camera had been sitting in their back area for two weeks. When I came in to pick up and mention this, Ken and their team threw their hands up saying they have no actual insight as to when things are done or even arrive in their shop...uh...ok. Extra credit: their invoices are printed out on full 8x11 paper with zero detail about shipping or mark up so you have no idea what you’re paying for. Nice touch. Save yourself the eye roll and send in your own repairs or go through a smaller shop that actually cares about their customers.
Always a pleasure shopping at Glazers. In and out in seconds usually. The few times I've had to return equipment everything was speedy. Also appreciate the underground parking. If you're a Seattle photographer, this is the place to be.
Pretty expensive but has a wide variety of equipment, film, and other photography needs.
I brought in a lens with a cracked filter stuck on it thinking I'd be footing a sizable repair bill. The man helping me took off the broken filter for free! I bought a couple more uv filters since obviously I need them to step in when I (too frequently) drop my camera. Love this store for the great service I got today!
I walked to Glazer on a vacation when my lens suddenly stopped working. The online reviews weren't very good but that's the only one close to downtown Seattle. So, I went in, somebody helped me find a used lens, and that was it. They have a 60 days warrantee for used lens. To be specific, it was a Canon 18-135mm IS for $159. I later checked the prices for used online. It beat ebay, craigslist, and Amazon.
Glazers is awesome
Good service all around, knowledgeable & helpful. Lots of selection too.
Great customer service from knowledgeable people!
Clean layout, helpful staff, and a lot to choose from. I'll definitely be back.
What a wonderful camera store! I've lived in several states and always frequent the local camera store and quite honestly this is one of the best I've ever seen! An amazingly knowledgeable and friendly staff combined with a great deal of varied and quality products at good prices! Today I came in to check out the Godox AD200 flash system and found that the prices were the same here as online. I had some questions and Clara was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and took great care of me! After talking about the flash system for a while as well as her introducing me to a wonderful soft box, I ended up going with a couple of items and will probably be back soon for a couple more. After what I went downstairs to look at something in the camera section and the gentleman who helped me was also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. About a week or two ago I went into take a look at the Canon EOS R. I was helped by yet a different gentleman who is also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I'm very happy with this store and glad to live near it. I will definitely be back for more products and I encourage you to stop by if you're in the area! They also have a wonderful rental department which is a couple of blocks away and right next to the rental department is a very helpful camera repair shop.
The choice & collection is fantastic... Very knowledgeable and helpful staff... Great experience overall
Fantastic camera shop if you are visiting Seattle! The staff were really knowable and friendly. I had a few tripod and monopod screws that had gone missing over the years. I've never come into replacement parts them. They had everything on hand to sort me out!
Very open and clean environment. Helpful staff. Busy around the holidays.
Since the remodel this location has suffered from poor customer service, Poor camera access, and poor staff. Most try to up sell you instead of helping you find what you need. There is NO room for new employment. Not enough new age employees or multi-ethnic employees. they have Leica and I wish i could use them but they are mainly a display item that no one is going to help you access. The used lens cost an arm and a leg you might as well buy a new one. The lighting is so dark you have to use ISO 800 1.8
Every adults candy store, staff can be iffy depending on who you get
I could get lost in here looking at all the goodies. Very helpful.
Awesome, lucky to have in Seattle, will be back again.
If you're a pro photographer or simply an enthusiast, Glazer's in Seattle is THE STORE. Great selection of the best gear for all your photographic needs. Friendly, well informed staff. Highly recommended!
Dion and Mike are amazing and wonderful. Always enjoy shopping here!
The service at this store is literally the best service I have ever experienced. The people working here are amazing. Went in for a firmware update and they took no time I was feeling so much energy and attention in this place definitely they will be on top of market. I was asked multiple times if I have questions or have I been helped. They really really take care of their customers. Mike the manager was awesome in helping out with my lens purchase too. Trust me people you’ll walk out of this store with only regret of not spending more time in there. They have lots of variety. Everyone working in there is wonderful. My interaction was mostly with Emily and I feel like she has perfected the art of customer service.
Never been there just looks cool!
The sales staff is a waste of time and seemingly dishonest. I asked about the sensor swabs that they sell (Eclipe premoistened:Sensor Swab +) and asked if they were appropriate for cleaning sensors with oil residue. They said enthusiastically yes and I'd only need one swab to get the job done. Four swabs later and the sensor is worse than I started due to streaks. If they can't be honest about a $15 sale, how would I feel about a $5,000 sale? I guess I should have not believed them even though they were so emphatic that one would do the job. grrrr!
One of the few real camera stores left. All the staff I have encountered are friendly and willing to help. There used gear is top notch and priced very fair. Also one of the few places you can still pick up film and darkroom supplies. Not a lot of low end middle of the road equipment though everything in lighting is prosumer or higher so expect to pay that level for any new gear purchased. They just moved into a new building with multiple floors the store looks great although parking got a little more dicey with the underground parking. I miss the big lot they used to have. The new building is right across the street from where they where before.
The place in Seattle for all your photography needs. Great product selection and plenty of knowledgeable, friendly staff.
I've always had terrific service here, but recently I had over the top EXCEPTIONAL service here. I had a specific lighting challenge for a technical shoot. Not only did they spend the time to help me troubleshoot different lighting/equipment setups, but then they allowed me to set up the equipment/lights in their store to see if I felt confident the solution would work. And then they saved me a ton of dough by having most everything I needed available as a rental that day. Can't do THAT through the internet. Thanks Glazer's!
Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great selection of all things photographic available. Good prices.
A little pricey but great selection.
I had a great experience shopping here. I'm not terribly knowledgeable about cameras but I do like gear. The person who helped me (I think his name was Dion?) was incredibly well informed and was very pleasant to work with. He advised me on the best equipment that would suit my needs and didn't make me feel stupid when I asked questions. I will absolutely shop here again.
Lots of great camera equipment here and knowledgeable staff
Went in to print e check as a first step and I found a used camera that was exactly what I was looking for, at a very reasonable price. The salesperson was knowledgeable and very helpful.
Knowledgeable staff. Building has parking.
This truly is a camera lover's paradise with everything you could ever want in terms of gear for photography or videography. However, as nice as their gear is - they carry Epic RED - they do not and have never offered financing plans. Save those pennies or you will only be "just looking".
One of the last great brick and mortar camera stores. It's not perfect but it's amazing that they are still around. Prices are internet competitive. Their repair service has been sub-par for me, but I'm not going to ding them for that, as they send out all their repairs to other facilities I think. The staff actually know what they are talking about.
Expensive but there are so a lot of camera equipment to choice from. They also host informative events.
My go to store for any photography, film and darkroom needs. I always appreciate photo events and workshops they organize. Especially when you come for a workshop and able to test gear in real world before buying it. I also have only positive experience with rentals.
Shop local. My boyfriend wanted a camera. I heard Glazier's holiday shopping event ad on the radio and I knew we had to go. They had reps from a ton of camera companies and a ton of employees around to help. My BF got one on one service and looked at maybe six models. The guy was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and nice. Not pushy. They offer free classes to teach you how to use your camera. This place is super cool.
Hands-down the best camera and equipment store in Seattle.
For camera or photography related stuff this is place to go in Seattle. I was looking for x-t2 from fujifilm which was like an outdated model and I couldn't find that on display anywhere else but in Glazer it was there. Also for folks just visiting the shop their parking is free. Hope it helps.
Freindly staff and very well sorted store
Wonderful place to find all your photography supplies!
Beautiful store
Pat's terrific! There was a glitch on the website which caused a problem with my order. Communications were difficult, given a three-hour time difference between New York and Seattle and all the disruptions to business and daily life these few weeks, but Pat kept following up until he mades sure everything was right. Thanks! I look forward to doing business with you again in the future.
Great selection, great assistance , and it’s nice to have a place in Seattle to get the best camera gear! Parking available, too!
I purchased a camera lens here recently. The entire experience was a breeze. They knew exactly what I was looking for and were able to find it immediately. The staff is overall very knowledgeable and kind. They offer lots of great educational events as well. Lovely locals business that I look forward to supporting.
Awesome staff above average on the price they offer for your used camera equipment...
Great staff who really know their stuff when it comes to cameras and photography
Photography store that has just about anything you need from digital, 35mm to large format products a one stop shop.
I have been a Glazer’s customer for the last eight years. I have purchased two DSLRs, lenses and various other equipment. I have always Been treated well and the staff knowledge is outstanding. Glazers is my go to location for all of my photo needs . 5 stars.
Everyone I've dealt with at Glazer's has been very passionate and knowledgeable. I appreciate that they are honest about their experiences, even if it means potentially not making a sale: I buy most of my gear here purely because I appreciate the level of honesty, professionalism, and expertise I always experience. Their used gear is also often an absolute steal, even when like new, and their warranty on it is generous.
One of my favorite camera stores in the country!
Cameras for the camera in all of us. Lighting for the dark places. Knowledgeable people for people needing knowledge.
Friendly staff helped me out in a pinch.
I have been to Glazer's one other time while construction was going on, great experience that time. The new shop is very fancy, I joked that I might need a credit check on my way in. It was VERY fancy once we got inside and a photographer or videographer's paradise. This is not a place I would suggest normal people shop. Buy your stuff off Amazon. Overall they were pompous and rude. We had one sales person who was friendly and helpful. He didn't shutter when I said I needed help to find pieces for my Sony NEX. I saw some extras I would have purchased if my experience had been better. I spent $45 at Glazer's and ended up at Frys spending over $500 getting ready for a trip to Europe.
Very knowledgeable staff with no sales pressure! Excellent competitive prices.
Great customer service anytime, above and beyond during COVID19. Highly recommend
The new store is much easier to move around and has a nice class room. The video area is main aimed at DSLR film makers.
Awesome people working there. Very knowledgeable and friendly service personnel. Spent almost two hours with two different people that where answering my ignorant questions, and explainig everything to me.
I visited this camera store in Seattle while I was on vacation from Alaska. Professional ,friendly service!!! I'll be visiting them again in the summer.
I wish you could give 0 stars. The customer service is always horrible. Jeff was rude and not helpful. I need more items but left after buying only 2. It seemed that he was annoyed to help me. I have never had a good experience here. I will keep ordering online from B&H.
Glazer's manages to find only the nicest, most knowledgeable people to work behind their counters. Whether you have never even seen a camera before, or you lost a lens cap at your last GQ shoot, they will treat you exactly the same, and find a way to go above and beyond helping you. They never make you feel like you should know something you don't, or let you know if you're making a mistake in a purchase or getting a bad deal. They don't care about the sale, they care about you coming back time and time again. Which I always will!
Very cool store. If you are looking for anything related to video or stills this is the place to go. Prices can be really good if you watch for sales. Expert advice. They also offer classes.
Great toy store
Went there for Nikon Z7 launch event. It was fun. we got to use the camera as well.
Friendly people and helpful
Always have stuff in stock so you can try before you buy unlike buying online. The used gear guy was also super helpful and easy to trade in for stuff I actually want
Expensive. Especially after Sales Tax. Bought my Tamron 28-75 FE there. Super friendly staff, good service!
We've been long time customers of Glazers nkwfor 15 years. Haven't been there since the remodel and my wife and I were in the need of an upgrade to our equipment. We were immediately great by an overwhelming feeling of welcomeness and an offer to help. We worked with Stuart and Rebecca who did a great job at taking care of us. We ended up with new gear and a fantastic experience. Thank you Glazers, still a customer for life.
UPDATE: The customer support and the technician (Pat) were professional in communication and did everything to resolve the situation ???? Both the camera and the lense are now fixed. Before: Was passing the city as a part of my month long trip through US. Left the camera for the shutter repair. When it finally arrived at my doorstep a 300$ lense was broken. The repair was 270 US dollars plus they charged 20 for delivery.
I dropped by to grab a monopod that I'd already researched on their website. I was immediately helped by a staff member that knew exactly what I was talking about and which models were in stock. They have implemented some top notch COVID19 protocols, so I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Glazer's has been great for professional support. I've gotten backpacks, hard to find Lee filters, studio lighting...all the tools for a great shot on the road or in studio. My latest purchase, an Elinchrom light kit, happened to have a bulb that was defective in the package. They sent me 2 bulbs immediately (arrived next day in Spokane) without charge. The lights are perfect for my needs, and they helped me select the softboxes I got (and their umbrellas) from the many models available. The prices are not that different from on line pricing, and it is worth it for the lessons, advice and direction from a professional. Their stores are well organized and well stocked. Such a difference from what we have in our town.
Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, & amazing selection. I had tons of questions about a lens i was interested in and Dion Baker could not have been more patient & helpful. Highly recommend!
Big selection of cameras, professional photography gear and a good place to go to if you're looking for camera film. Good variety of film and kept properly in a fridge
Best camera store in Seattle.
Best camera spot in Seattle! Great film!
I purchased an eos r6 online, but wanted to make sure they had what I needed in stock. The service I received was stellar and I will definitely be using Glazer's more in the future. Shipping to the east coast took 8 days, but that's not their fault. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!
Very helpful staff.
Very friendly and knowledgeable salesman, Mike, and a vast selection of cameras and photographic equipment for sale.
Glazer’s is like a complete wonderland for photographers. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wanted to give a quick shoutout to Lily, who I had an especially nice experience with. There was a mix up with the lenses that I had brought in to get cleaned, and she delivered excellent customer service while tracking them down and getting to me as quickly as possible. Thanks Glazers!
Two stories of photography gear .... I'm a kid in a candy store. Friendly staff too!
Amazing customer service and great selection:)
Friendly service, and very knowledgeable team.
I had the pleasure to deal with Mike Este from the sales team and he went out of his way to resolve an issue with the order I placed. The customer service quality was exemplary. I will keep shopping at Glazer’s for my future needs.
Good products but a lot of inventory doesn’t have a price on it or it’s hidden, annoying. Also, for years the staff working in film has been consistently condescending and rude every time I’ve gone in. Yeah, I’m not a white middle aged man, doesn’t mean I don’t know what film is.
Sometimes, I drop in just to ask for help figuring something out and other times I call to get advice. Because of how well I have been treated, I have spent thousands of dollars here. I have never felt pressured to buy. I buy because the staff is so great at showing me new things that will improve my photography. I have also rented equipment several times. I've never had a bad experience. I have always been given more than I asked for! I have only experienced Glazers to be integrous. I recommend Glazers to everyone who will listen!
They were incredibly patient with my 13 year old son who had a million questions and no intention of buying anything. Knowledgeable, patient and kind
price is tricky
Dion helped us. He was so knowledgeable and enjoyable to deal with! Great store!
Was passing the city as a part of my month long trip through US. Left the camera for the shutter repair. Not only it took them forever to even start working on the repairs when it finally arrived at my doorstep not only the camera's shutter was not working but also a 300$ lense was broken. The repair was 270 US dollars. Would definitely not recommend!
I purchased a 35mm prime lens for my Nikon camera. Using F1.8 at about four feet, the focus was 4 - 5 inches behind the spot focus point. Mike, the store manager, helped me try three different lenses and eventually determined my camera body was the problem. I am new to this and appreciated him taking the time and being very thorough.
The best Camera store in Seattle. It is centrally located. They’re the authorized dealers for many brands including Nikon and Tamron. Their staff are super friendly and want to help you find the right products. I’ve purchased my wide-angle lens and camera tripod here. Both the times, there was no pressure to purchase. The staff helped me by providing guidance after understanding my camera use and price range. I’d highly recommend this camera shop to anyone interested in purchasing camera/lens/accessories.
Man this place was such a great experience! Dion practically gave us a little class on our camera functions and even took some photos. As novices, it was the perfect store to stop at to get our next upgraded lense and some tips to get my fiance excited! Thanks Dion!!!!!!!
These guys have helped me a LOT over the past couple of years. I'm a 'professional' video person with an ever-evolving kit of mid-level video and DSLR/Mirrorless gear, as well as lighting and grip stuff. They've got a little bit of everything and their people are fantastic. If I have a criticism is it that they don't have more Grip gear. More selection of gadgets and tools for professional grip and video lighting stuff would be good. I know they probably don't have the room for it, they're practically busting out of their new, huge space, but still.... I always have to buy something from BH or Filmtools or someplace because they don't quite have that special thing we need for the kit. STILL, for camera gear, these guys are GREAT. Customer service and management is Fabulous!
My Fuji was acting up so I took it in for a look. The manager (Mike) and everyone else I talked to was really friendly and helpful. Amazed that they'll have a technician look at your gear without charge to figure out the problem.
Glazers have a great range of equipment and good quality used cameras, lens and other accessories. Staff are mostly knowledgeable and helpful. But 10% + restocking fees means you cant simply return an item if unsatisfied with your purchase without incurring a cost
Today I traded some very old Leica cameras and a few Voigtlander lenses and other camera gear and finally got my new Fuji 100-400mm f4.5 zoom lens ! This is a great shop with great new gear from the best companies and loads of top quality used gear. I've gotten great deals on Fuji used lenses in such great shape they seemed new ! This is a great shop and everyone there is so helpful. They really know their cameras, both new and used ! But they are very picky ! In other words, their clients are very picky, which translates directly to the quality of their used gear. They don't deal in junk at all !
This is not a chain store. It seems like a camera store you might visit in the late 1970s with lots of odds and ends piled on top of one another. I like that it does not feel pretentious.
In a time when its impossible to find a wide variety of camera equipment in an actual brick and mortar store there is Glazers. Now if I only had deeper pockets.
Tottaly sucked butt
Film!
All the camera gear! Friendly staff and there's a lot of options that can work with your budget, albeit with lenses, camera bodies, lights, and other stuff to enhance your art and performance. Staff are very informative and can help explain in details should you ask for it.
Great customer service, great selection, super friendly.
Best camera store on the Pacific Northwest offering great customer service and fun interesting classes and seminars.
Great service and selection. Off street parking was a huge bonus
One of the reps was a little elitist. It would be nice if they took the role of teachers or atleast seeming like they care about people wanting to learn photography.
Great selection of equipment
Glazers has always been great when I've needed them. Great service and knowledge among the staff.
Best pro camera and equipment place
Nice, open, clean place. Helpful staff. Lots of stock in many brands. Prices as good as any I've seen. Just didn't have what I was looking for this time. When back in town will likely visit again.
Great camera store. Lots of gear and knowledgeable people.
Great store and friendly staff.
Nice place to get a camera / accessories.
Nicest and friendliest photography store I’ve been to. Super helpful folks with good advice. Check it out !
This place is all about exploiting people. If not for all the tech bros dropping cash without ever touching a camera, it would have gone out of business years ago. Dirty business practice! Stay away if you can!

great camera shop. always check the used case. They have great lenses in there sometimes.
This hapless wannabe photographer was so thankful to get help with my camera settings when I thought I was going to have to get a new one!!!
Best camera store anywhere, in my humble opinion! For amateurs and professionals alike. Expert, knowledgeable help with an abundance of sales people at all times. I hear their online store is great too, but I'm lucky enough to live in Seattle and get to go to their beautiful new space for all my photographic needs.
They always have what I need and I walk out the door guaranteed to return for more.
They had everything I needed for my dad’s camera and my camera. Neither camera are new so I was very impressed they had everything in stock.
Great experience Awesome people
Glazers has excellent customer service and a knowledgeable staff. It's great to get a feel for how equipment actually handles before you buy it.
Great store with amazing selection and a very knowledgeable staff!
I’ve visited a few times and have found the staff there very knowledgeable and friendly. I’m new to photography and wanted to up my game but didn’t know where to begin. They helped me pick out accessories and gave me great info about their products and classes. The stock they had was huge. Highly recommend to anyone in the area
I'm fairly new to photography generally. The staff was helpful and thoughtful.
I’ve genuinely never left a review before, but I set an alarm to remind me because I was SO happy with the wonderful experience I had. I was greeted by a woman who was incredibly warm and friendly, asking about my travels rather than rushing to get me out the door. I came to get film developed and as they don’t offer this, she gave me a flyer with a long list of local shops who could which I was SO impressed with. I was then referred to Mike to help with my camera shutter not working. Turns out it was just the battery which he got replaced within 30 seconds, before taking the time to thoroughly answer all the other questions I bothered him with. I really appreciate the employees not only getting me taken care of, but being so incredibly kind throughout the process! I left the store with a big smile on my face thanks to the wonderful customer service and I absolutely plan to return next time I’m in Seattle. Thank you for making my day!!
Tons of items and brands. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
I forgot my charger when I was travelling Canada and Washington, and my camera's battery went empty. They charged it for me without charging me. Very nice people!
They have the best photo equipment that I know of. Ask for Mike
Love these guys.... even the blond lady at the front register is always so sweet. Thank you for making it so great. Everyone has a lot of knowledge and no question is too dumb for them to answer. Thanks everyone .. keep up the good work.
Jimmy and others did a great job setting us up with what we need
Go. Spend the day. Try not to spend your entire bank account, I dare you. Prices are on par with Amazon except you get professional assistance. Loved this place.
Just was "helped" by a very unhelpful man, trying to buy a light stand for my daughter. Apparently only people with lots of money and lots of experience should consider themselves worthy of shopping at Glazer's.
Always friendly seevice, and they've almost certainly got a solution for amy photo/video problem you can throw at them!
Have ordered three used lenses from them in the past couple of months. Each of them had a photo, but no condition description. Each of them was like new, competitively priced and arrived within a day or two of order. Will happily order from again, and again! Thanks!!
I was SHOCKED to see a staff member punch a client in the face one morning. I'm not sure what could have possessed The Glaziers guy to do it... but i'm damn sure i'm NEVER going back. The first two visits to this place were OK (maybe 2 stars) the staff was high pressure and more than a little dishonest. I have have an extensive education in the field of photography and i have to say without a doubt, these guys will say ANYTHING to sell you something on their shelf. PLEASE, go online to buy your products and you'll never have to deal with these hucksters again.
Visited the store on 9/11/2021 to support a local brick and mortar business and unfortunately I will never return after this experience - I see why Amazon is taking over and it’s due to the compounding of these type of customer experiences driving consumers online. One of the items I was ready to buy ended up having the wrong price sticker placed on it by their stock associate, and instead of allowing the transaction to go through as marked, the manager wanted to change the price by $30 after it had been rang in and accepted by their point of sale system. All I ask is why wouldn’t you allow the transaction to go through and use it as a training lesson for the team? Was it worth losing the $100 sale, this bad review and losing at least one customer for a lifetime?
Best place to buy video and or photography equipment
Very knowledgeable staff, very helpful for helping me pick out my first good camera! Answered all my questions and obviously know a lot in their field. Worth the trip just for the staff expertise.
Amazing inventory very helpful staff
I called after checking their website to make sure a used lense was available and the employee stated the lenses was a good deal which I already knew and a couple minutes after I got off the call the item went out of stock even though it had previously been in stock for awhile and I’m assuming the employee purchase the lenses before I had a chance. I emailed them a couple times and didn't receive an email back.
I called looking for a tokina lens and all they had were the newest versions. I found the particular one I was looking for at another store. I called these guys back and ask if the new version is better then the the older one I was looking for. I was giving an honest answer and recommended to go with the older version I appreciate the honesty even though they may have voided a sale. Friendly service an honest opinion I would recommend this place.
Have had many conversations with everyone at this amazing store. They are all knowledgeable about their product and have good data and understanding about all that is related to photography. Highly recommend.
Great service and extremely knowledgeable staff. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I was given the wrong colorway for my camera. However this was most likely they were about to close so the sales rep was a little rushed (I obviously also should’ve double checked). With their great service I’m sure they’ll switch the wrong colorway with the correct one with no issue. Highly recommended
New to the photography world talked to one of there staff in the phone and was really helpful and took the time to lessen and when i made it to the store it got better they are grate and will explain everything and assist you berry well
Had my camera repaired. Good service and reasonable prices.
I very much feel like an outlier here. This is by far the worst brick and mortar store I have ever shopped at. I was in the hospitality industry for a decade and an Executive chef. I cannot imagine being as brief to clients the way the sales staff are at the counter. The folks at the front are awesome and kind. However the level of elitism (which I understand is inherent in photography) is staggering. I am a young landscape photog, and I can't help but feel that since I am not a studio/video guy, or some old dude taking pictures of birds the sales guys couldn't care less about giving me a hand. If you can please support small mom and pop stores. It is unfortunate that Glazers has a monopoly in the area, and Kenmore is fairly out of the way. If you have a relationship with out of state shops you can also save on sales tax.
Personal sales service with knowledgeable photographers.
I drove up from Portland to get the Sigma 35 1.2 for my S1, because they were the only place to have it! That’s not why I give them 5 stars though, that comes from the outstanding friendly and helpful staff! Even over the phone I could tell these people were great, only to be further impressed when I actually got to their store! 10000% recommend this place. I just wish I lived closer!!
If you don't live downtown it is a bit of trouble to get there and park, but worth it.
Lots of equipment and accessories for the amateur and the professional. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and happy to answer questions and give tips.
Helpful. My first visit to rent a specialty lens. Friendly fast service. Everything was ready to go when I walked in.
Fairly easy to get in and out of, and gave me a good fair price on my used goods!
Wonderful store full of knowledgeable staff and products.
Just today, the guy from trade-in desk is a lowballer. I had my fuji xt1 and 18-55mm lens (1yr old and barely used) checked for a quote and he only offered me $475. He didnt even bother opening my lcd. He just looked and touched my camera and lens and even said thats how much other online people selling a used fuji xt1 which is not obviously true. Lowballer.. Tss..
I had driven a long distance to Seattle last Saturday evening so that my daughter could take pictures for a school project. It was essential that she complete the photos Saturday evening. She had just taken a few pictures when she realized that her battery had died. It was almost 6pm and I knew that it would be a miracle if we could find a camera store and buy a battery charger. I immediately looked on my phone for the nearest camera store and realized that Glazer's was fairly close to us. We drove there and arrived just after they had closed; the employees were exiting the store. In desperation, I asked if there was any chance that someone could sell me a charger. Long story short, several of the employees stayed behind to support us in our quest to resolve our dilemma, and in the end I was able to get a charger, and my daughter was able to complete her project. I really appreciated the concern and support that the employees showed for us. It is so nice when people go out of their way to help a stranger. Thank you, Glazer’s employees!
I had left my cf memory card at home and was so happy they carries this type. Thank you! The sales person was helpful and quick. I'll be back when I have time to explore the store.
Thought I would try and order a part through a local store. They said it would take 10 days to get it. On the 10th day, called to make sure it was there before heading down. The first person I talked to said he couldnt find any order and he would call me back. Never got a call. Waited about 4 hours and called again. The person I spoke with was not only very rude but told me it would likely take another 10 days (sounds like it was never ordered). He made it sound like he was doing me a favor. Mix ups happen sometimes. Not a big deal. But with poor customer service/communication and the fact that you can find everything online for less money, theres no reason for me to go back.
Great! Service
Called in to make sure they buy used cameras and when they said yes I came all the way down there.. Just to find out that what they didn't tell me was you have to be 21+ to sell your camera. What a bunch of BS.
I have been supporting glazers camera and have bought all my photography gear from them for the past few years. Recently I decided to let go of some lenses that I no longer wanted to have. Two of them were just a little over a year old. The other three were 2 years old and all lenses were in excellent condition. I did some research and saw how much they were going for. I understood that glazers needed to make a profit so I took that into consideration. I was so disappointed in the amount that donte wanted to give me for the lenses. They wanted to give me 650 for 5 lenses. That’s such a low ball especially considering that i spent that much on each lens buying it from them. I can’t even be upset I rather just laugh about it. Only reason I wanted to sell my gear to them was because I just wanted to sell them quickly and not have to post them online and hope someone would be interested enough to actually buy them. Glazers camera should help out the consumers that helped them get to where they are today.
Great service here! Called in to see if they had the canon 17-40 L lens in stock, they ended up having it used and saved me quite a bit of money, The lens was in just about perfect condition, came with a hood and a cap, they made it very easy to put on hold and were very helpful when looking for a filter when I went in too pick it up. I would recomend this store to anyone in the seattle area. Excellent service
My go to store for camera equipment. Extremely knowledgeable staff, very friendly, interested in helping me make the correct decisions for my business.
twice now the guy who helps manage service with Nikon has been terrible at communicating. Not worth the headache to deal with them, sadly; Kenmore Camera a better bet
