After having multiple "sight saving" surgeries by Dr.Safi, in the last 2yyrs,I feel most qualified tol this review. Simply put, they're AWESOME! A warm greetings by all front desk staff,a super clean environment,on time appointments,compassionate Care are hallmarks of Bennett Eye Institute. Last month,Dr. Hooten performed a YAG laser treatment on my visit there. She could have set another appointment (another office visit charge), instead she got an approval from my insurance co. by calling herself rather than waiting on the staff to do it. Thanks to her efforts my vision is clear now,and I didn't have to wait another month. I couldn't be happier with them.

Great staff, nice doctors, free parking oleasnt waiting room. Only complaint is no matter what time we schedule an appoitment we sit and wait for atleast 1 hour before called back, I wish the office manager managed the appointments better it really effects peoples schedules and makes the opperation look as if it money driven and not patient oriented.

Don't waste your time with these guys. Their office in Kona botched a cataract procedure. Do to their delaying tactics my wife eventually had to have a cornea transplant. The doc who did this procedure, recommended by Dr Safi, replaced the incorrect lens but failed to get it centered. Another doc, not associated with Bennett and his crew finally did a repair. My wife was in severe pain for two plus years as Bennett's docs would not do anything. They strung us along until the two year malpractice time was up and then apologized. My wife will never have her vision back in her left eye. The thing that is most disheartening is that Dr Bennett agreed on several occasions his company would care for our out of pocket expenses. It never happened. Their insurance company denied any and all claims. Suggestion: if you run into complications with these guys go to some one else to get it resolved.

Of course we are so grateful for the on-going retina care as diabetes continues to progress. Setsko’s vision was certainly saved and preserved when otherwise blindness would have ensued. We also value Dr Danforth’s personal touch and approach to this condition as a physician treating the underlying disease then as a specialist and surgeon working miracles of healing for the eyes.

Not on main isle, doctor comes in once a month. Dr. Kashiwa is pleasantly friendly, extremely knowledgeable and explains each procedure and gives suggestions for my problem. Main problem is the billing, accounts department. This will be read by others and have nothing wonderful to comment. Unsure who to point my finger at. Mahalo

During a routine eye exam, the Bennett Eye Inst may very well have saved my long term vision by detecting eye trauma with their state of the art equipment operated by their highly experienced staff. The eye trauma I had most likely would not be detected by other vision facilities. The doc's at Bennett diagnosed and collaterally shared opinions to provide the best treatment options for my case. Bennet Eye Inst has the technology and ability to treat eye trauma in house. I will be forever grateful to the Bennett staff and for the personal care I received.
