Amin was amazing with helping me find glasses. He helped me find different lenses that fit my face and I'm ultimately very pleased with the ones that I went with. He was very quick to respond to my inquiries and offered to have me come back to get my glasses adjusted if I needed (I never found the need! They ended up being just fine!) His prices are very reasonable and I'm looking forward to going back soon to check out prescription sunglasses! This is the best optical store in the Waterloo area. They have a large collection of designer frames you wouldn't find in any other stores. I picked up a pair of Tom Ford that caught my eyes once I walked into the store. The choices of lenses are also plenty include name brand like Nikon and Zeiss that are not available in other stores. The owner Amin definitely knows his stuff. He is patient and helpful and provided me a lot of recommendations. I definitely recommend people to go down and have a look!

Being an international student in Canada is expensive and difficult when it comes to the medical facilities. I had to get my eyeglasses done and it was a dire necessity. Lucky the College provides us with insurance and some network stores affiliated with the Insurance company. But it was of no use as even after barring the insurance cover these network stores gave me a quote for more than 400 CADS. Lucky enough to have visited the Premier Opticals, where Amin Javaheri-Zadeh guided me with absolute honesty, without the thought of filling his own pockets. I request all to come to this store and get an honest purchase experience where this gentleman works for satisfying the students and without hesitation, helps them. Infact, he went all the way out to offer me the best that he could which was still lesser than what the network stores quoted me. The service and the glasses are at its finest edge. I request him to please come within the insurance company network so that the students struggling to make the ends meet here, can take a sigh of breath that they ain't being looted by the insurance companies and their network stores. Shop is right across the street from the university so it's super convenient if you study or work at U Waterloo. Amin was super friendly. The shop has a large selection of frames, but with his help, choosing the right ones for my budget was easy. Everything was fast as well. He booked me for the eye examination on the same day and had my glasses ready in less than a week. I even got an extra bottle of cleaning fluid for the lenses as a courtesy. Overall, very happy with my purchase. It just feels great to support a family owned, local business with nice selection and friendly staff.

I went with my girlfriend today to pick out a pair of new glasses after my old ones broke playing basketball. I went in with high expectations because of the 5-star review, and I came out wishing there was a 6th star I could give. Amin was friendly, patient, outgoing, funny and super helpful. He has a great eye for styles on people and gives his opinion without being pushy/biased at all. It did not feel like I was at a business, and instead felt like I was being given great advice by a good friend. On top of that, there is a fantastic selection of glasses. There were so many styles and brands that I spent the better part of an hour trying to narrow down which pair I wanted. Throughout that process, Amin was extremely patient and helpful. I picked out a great pair of glasses with a great lens for a great price. I came in early in the afternoon on a Saturday to check this place out as I'm in the market for new prescription glasses and didn't like the options I had seen at Conestoga Mall or in Toronto. Amin and his wife Susan were warm, friendly, and took the time to listen to what I was looking for and also showed me what my options were without feeling pressured to buy anything. Amin took his time to explain to me my lens options and Susan pulled a variety of different frames in the shape I was looking to get. All in all i felt very well taken care of and that I made the right decision based on my budget and how often I would wear the frames. I'm an avid contacts wearer and was only buying glasses as back up and for rest days. Highly recommend to check this place out if you're looking for a more tailored and personal experience when buying glasses. They were running a promotion at the time I bought, which was $50 off the frames and 30% of the lenses! Such a good deal! Thank you Amin and Susan for such a great experience at your store! :)

My family visited Premier Optical for the first time and where to begin with our experience. Amin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The customer service and courtesy was A++ from the second we entered the store to the second we left. This store carries every brand from lower budget all the way up to the top designer brand names, the options are very impressive. The greatest surprise for us was to learn that Amin actually cuts the glass lenses himself because he has the experience and equipment right in his store... that's right he does not need to ship the glasses and lenses out like other stores did that we went to in the past. We walked out of the store today with 2 pairs of glasses made the exact same day, and because my old frames we broken this was a huge help for me. I decided to get a pair of contact lenses for the first time and I had an amazing experience at Premier Optical. First of all, the owner is amazing!!! He really takes his time to explain, guide and recommend the right pair of contact lenses for you. As a first time contacts owner, I had a difficult time putting on and removing the lenses, but he took his time to guide me through the process. He even gave me another pair of different contact lenses so that I can compare and choose the right one based on my comfort. Not only was the service excellent, but you can tell that he is truly passionate about what he does!

The eye exam went very smoothly and I'm very happy with the glasses and contact lenses I bought! Amin spent over an hour helping me pick out a new frame and explaining to me the different types of lenses available, which was super helpful especially because my prescription is quite high. Additionally, he was super accommodating with shipping my purchases to my new address, and kept in touch to ensure I was happy with my purchase. COVID-19 protections were also well done; everyone was wearing masks the entire time and constantly sanitizing everything. I'd highly recommend them!

At previous optometrists, I felt I was being pressured...but here, they truly want you to get the best glasses suited for you, at a price that is suited to your budget! Definitely recommend this place! The gentleman there is just so kind and friendly that has helped me twice with my nose pads and FOR FREE. I volunteered to pay him for the niceeee service but he kindly refused. It definitely worths a visit if you are looking for glasses or having any issues per your own glasses! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I was looking for Persol sunglasses so I visited the website and used the store locator. I live in Cambridge and the Waterloo location Premier Optical was the closest to me. I visited the store and with Amins assistance I found what I was looking for. Amin is a very personable, and knowledgeable person and I would not hesitate to return to his store for any eyeglass needs or wants. Also, Sunglass Hut in Waterloo carries Persol but since they weren't mentioned on Persols website I did not visit, I received the BEST service by visiting Amin at his store. Do yourself the favour.

The frame of my old spectacles broke so I thought to get it fixed. I first went to best value opticals, where they said that it's impossible to fix my glasses and suggested I buy new ones. They said they give me $150 discount and after that I had to $406! For reference I bought my glasses for $60 from somewhere else. So I went to premier opticals, where the manager helped me and in 5 minutes fixed my frame and didn't even charge me for it. He save me $400!!! Please give them a visit. They are really nice people and from what I saw, the shop was very well equipped.

Easily the best eyeglass shop in K-W. Tons of huge brand names and normal, sleek, modern styles. I found 4-5 different frames that I wanted here compared to 1-2 at other places because other places have a lot of weird looking glasses nowadays. The shop owner is also a proper gentleman and was very helpful through the whole process of getting an professional eye exam, prescription, picking the right lenses, and finding the right style of frames for myself. Came here originally on a Saturday when one lens popped out of the frame of my glasses and I needed an emergency repair--Amin was incredibly kind, considerate and patient with me both on the phone when I called to ask and when I came in for the repairs. Glasses were well-cleaned and fixed up good as new! A few months later after doing my eye exam, I decided to come in to order a new pair. These guys were great! Not only do they have good products but they also provide excellent customer service. Due to an unfortunate personal incident, the glasses I purchased here became damaged. The lenses were scratched and pretty much ruined. The owner of the shop had a warrantee on my lenses and was able to get it replaced at a low fee. He told me even if I hadn't had a warrantee, he would have tried to help me. Total classy guy. Saved me another trip to the glass store. Absolutely would recommend!
