One of the nurses in the ER was very rude. told my husband she doesn’t care what happen to him, what will happen and she left, clocked out and told nobody while he was in the middle of getting discharged. The service in the ER was very lacking. Rather than stitching his hand, they wrapped it. Got sent home with a bleeding hand. After many hours, went to a different ER who was surprised that it wasn’t stitched in the first place! Their ophthalmology staff is questionable. He had internal wound in his eye, I questioned the bleeding on the side of his eye and they said it was fine. Asked again during a follow up, said it was fine. Next follow up, yea it was not so fine after all. This location is the absolute worst! They don’t give a damn about you.

Came to the ER for my Boyfriend on May 20th at about 1am, the ER staff was amazing that day... they helped with the problem he had and we did as the dr asked and set up future appointments, that ER Dr told us if the pain worsened before the appointment then come back, so we came back on May 27th waited for about an hour in the ER waiting room... that wasn't the bad part, we went back into the room to be seen and the DR if that's what you call him, comes in and grabs my Boyfriend by the right shoulder (mind you this is where the excruciating pain is) and starts squeezing and forcing his arm around, then proceeded to say well there is nothing we can do for you, then we sit there waiting for paperwork and for the dr to just say again and try touching him again there is nothing at all we can do for you... your going to have to go to your dr for further care!!! No bedside manner, no care and no compassion for people... not happy at all and will make sure everyone knows it

I was taken care with nothing but care and understanding and they kept me informed every step of the way until, I was diagnosed and treated, would highly recommend the place! Thank you John!

Not so great hospital...

Vania Ashminova

I have no reason to rate this hospital less than five stars because every single physician or hospital worker that I have interacted with has been nothing but professional and accommodating. The hospital is equipped with new instruments, it is clean and inviting. My doctor is genuinely concerned with improving my health. I have nothing more to ask. Thank you.

I have only ever had bad experiences here, except with one doctor. I have been there a lot, both inpatient and outpatient. So to feel like I only know one truly cordial doctor says a lot. Even "benign" non-totally-awful experiences are depressing...because the care is so pointedly transactional medicine with completely indifferent medical staff members. Maybe the staff is stressed and overworked. Maybe they don't like their jobs. Maybe the facility is understaffed. I can sympathize, I recognize their humanity. But...trying to understand and acknowledge the stresses of the staff doesn't make the patient experience any better. Forgettable is the best experience I can ever hope for in a place where there is plenty of treatment but very little "care." Nov 2021 update: Same same. My favorite part of the Lahey experience is getting the heck out of there. If you ever have to go, maybe try to practice radical gratitude (like, remind yourself that some people in the world can't get any medical care ever) and then lower your expectations to at least Zero.

Went here today for the first and probably the last time. Booked an appointment for lower back pain and the closest date I got was 2 weeks later - COME ON!! The pain goes by that time anyway even without any medication. Spend 40 minutes on the phone to get the appointment cuz the representatives kept redirecting me to wrong departments the whole time. I should’ve given up my appointment at that point cuz that’s enough indication of how slow they could be. You wait EVERYWHERE. To enter the parking lot, to park, to check-in. I waited the nurse 45 minutes in the patient room and the visit lasted barely 10 minutes, I felt she was in a rush. They told me that I can have an x-ray right away, well, that was another 45 minutes wait. I was supposed to schedule an appointment for physical therapy as well but no thanks, I prefer to pay for something with the minimum waiting. This hospital is ridiculously busy for a suburb like Burlington, and the worst part? Probably gonna pay some hundred bucks for their unsatisfactory performance.

If you don’t have to go here, don’t. My mother has so many bad experiences here I can’t begin to count with surgeries and scans. Avoid if you possibly can.

Amazing clinic. Love the staff food great too.

Liamleeams

The doctors are great !!! But for some horrible reason you have to stay overnight in the rooms on floor 6 east. Rooms are disgusting and the nurses are no help they are rude and disrespectful. If you ask them for something they act like you are bothering them.

I hate the 12 1/2 round hour trip, staff is nice but the traffic blows and the drivers are RUDE! I don't know what wing nut came up with these hourly travel # but they should drive them especially during rush hour. That's why I have to leave home at 930 am and arrive at Hanscom, AFB a day ahead of my appts, then stay another night so as to not fight traffic In Mass hole ( especially after 35 surgeries ) and soon more to come. Lahey did fix what no other hack job Dr in the WHOLE STATE OF MAINE COULDN'T FIX accept PASS THE BUCK! I live 1/2 hour from Canada so yeah it takes its toll

Visited a patient. Good screening at the entrance to try and deny entry to sick individuals. Due to the pandemic, you can only stay for one hour.

Janice Perez

This is the worst hospital. Call light the nurse and she takes 1 to 2 hrs to answer! And then I have the worst surgery and no pain med because my blood pressure is low? Who wants to suffer in pain? No one, Oh and I am in CCU and no one really care. If you call them 30 minutes before changing shifts you are on you own. They wait till the next person comes. And the nursing supervisor called me rude because I was explaining my situation, remember i am in a lot of pain and im not a rude person, I was just asking for my meds. Because they were due 2 hrs.

Caitlin Barry

One thing you can count on at this hospital. You will come out disabled. The doctors cover and lie for each other. They don't care that your life was taken on purpose. You just can't make that many mistakes on 1 person.

Nice people but be care with their charges. I have an ultrason ($460), another doc to read the report ($113) then my primary doc call me in to the office to refer me to another specialist ($178). I understand the first two charges. On the third charge, I am little upset. I am in and out less than 2 mins. He didn't know anything more than me. He just said, "I have a little concern on the ultrason. You will see the specialist. Anything else I asked, he don't know". Just that, I get a bill for $178.

I have been with Lahey for several years and had mixed experiences. Earlier it was a 4 star healthcare place and now it has gone down to 3 stars. Quite disappointed.

Lahey Burlington hospital is terrible. Been in the ER twice in the last 4 years and out of the entire team that sees and treats you, maybe one or two has any form of bedside manner. Both times I've been here was at the side of my best friend. Both times she was treated like an inconvenience for being there. The latest visit was due to a car accident. She was taken in from the scene and as soon as she told them the airbags didn't deploy, she was suddenly no priority whatsoever. CAT scan came back normal and she was treated like she was faking the entire thing despite the fact she couldn't move! They gave her 3 ibproufen and discharged her, saying if she was still in pain the next day to go to her pcp (has anyone EVER been able to see their pcp the same day they call?). While I'm certain the hospital staff is overworked there was absolutely no need for the way she was spoken to or treated by the nurses. As if she was faking it all and was such an inconvenience for them because she wasn't bleeding out or something?? She hasn't been able to sleep in 4 days. Thankfully we got her to a doctor this week, but it was at an urgent care, not her pcp (unavailable until next month!). I might prefer to die than come to this hospital.

Kyle Alex

Had to call the center to make an appointment and let’s just say Shannon was so impressive she helped me right thru the process! Very customer oriented, notified me of all appointments available! If you need To use the call center I highly recommend asking for Shannon! Way to go Shannon!

I've always received top notch care here. Be it for a broken bone, kidney stone, or minor surgery. Waiting is the name of the game at hospitals everywhere and this one's no different but once you're called in you're dealt with efficiently and where possible related appointments are scheduled on the same day to reduce the impact on your life as much as possible. There are closer hospitals to my house but I'm more than happy to put the extra miles on my car to come here.

STOP MANDATING YOUR EMPLOYEES TO GETTING A VACCINE THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK. You lost a good employee today due to the mandate. And probally many more great staff members. Lahey cant afford to loose any employees , the are already short staffed as it is

Great hospital to work at

Larry Garneau

By far the worst hospital I have been to.they sent my wife home still sick and not able to breath.told them and they don't care also discrimination to it's fullest. Hippa rights what are those

I had gone to several different places to have my arm diagnosed, and I had two conditions in there. They had orthopedic spent half an hour, digging my nerves out of my elbow. It was a very difficult place to find the injury. He fixed it very well and I couldn’t thank him enough he was a wonderful doctor. He used to just specializes in hands, now he’s the head of orthopedics they’re actually in Burlington..

There neurology are not great. There nurses are very good and caring but the neurology team does not care about the patient or there health and the neurology doctors lie way too much about test and there just not someone I would ever get my care from

I had a liver transplant on 3/31/17 it was a success!! I was on the list for 10 months before I got a liver. They saved my life,, actually they gave me a hole new life. Also had a brain aneurysm on 12/13/19 also successful . I wouldn’t go to anyone outside of Lahet clinic. I fully trust those doctors and nurses. Everything in that clinic works. I see many doctors for different things .. I will stick with them .

My back has been in excruciating pain for almost a week. I went to the ER 2 in the morning from the amount of pain I was in. All the staff were gathered all together talking and laughing as I was in the room waiting for a doctor. The doctor finally came in, I explained my problem to him where I can barely walk, can't bend down or even get up without excruciating pain. He took a look at me, diagnosed me with generalized back pain, slapped me with a prescription for muscle relaxers...my back pain has been going on for years...this is not typical back pain...no xrays no tests. Just wrote me up a prescription for muscle relaxers which haven't even helped. They seemed to have just rushed me out so they all could continue their giggle session. Waste of time

Almost always have a positive experience at Lahey Clinic and Medical Center in Burlington, MA This place is amazing given the number of patents they careful each day. They rarely miss a step, from the parking attendants, facilities employees, café staff, receptionist to the social workers, nurses, doctors and surgeons all are patient oriented, which seems typical, but they have a strive for excellence approach. Thank you!!

Mark Sullivan

Just had a 3 day stay at Lahey. Thank you Kelly, gdg ,Heather, Nicole,Liz, Sandy, Dr. Diaco, Dr Gadey, Deborah, and Guisippee ! "Doctor" (And i use that term as LOOSELY as humanly possible) ANNIE S. LEE MD is a QUACK and FRAUD. The hospital itself is nearly impossibly to navigate, who, WHO makes the FOURTH floor the "ground" floor? accidentally had to walk threw the dangerous sub levels 3 times before someone told me I needed to press "4" on the elevator to get the hell out of there. THIS PLACE SUCKS.

Mel Howarth

Major surgery. I was in the transplant unit for 7 days. Stellar care the nurses were great. The assistants were stellar. I could not ask for more n the area of care.

John Lovering (mediaman57)

Have been going to Lahey since 1982. Since then have been successfully treated for cancer, a quadruple bypass, and recently a TAVR procedure to replace an aortic valve. Have been cared for by Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, General Internal Medicine and have NEVER met anyone who has been less than totally professional and personable. I owe Lahey my life and my gratitude for having this hospital is sincere... I travel from NH to go there and am glad to do so.

Love my doctors. They have always taken the time to answer questions and explain things without being condescending. Nurses and other members of the facility have all been kind and helpful.

Sean Hayes

Been going here all my life and they have always done right by me. My brother had diverticulitis and the doctors here saved his life.

The ER in this place is the worst. I’ve brought my wife here twice in the past year for abdominal pain and both times it took more than 3 hours to be seen. My wife was screaming and puking on the floor and they still took 3 hours. If you love someone don’t take them here.

phil cuoco

Cannot get through to my loved one, or to a Dr or nurse! They " transfer" your call and you listen to music for 20 or more minutes. What kind of place is this?!!!!!!!

Watch your bills people. We have been with Lahey for years, my husband has been with them for 8 years, we have private insurance, he went for a cat scan of his lungs (lung cancer screening) they then sent him to a Pet Scan after that everything was fine they said except this area at the base of his tongue, so co pays were normal for the scans (high cost right, in the hospital cat scan department big machine) go to the ENT office visit, dr comes in, regular exam room, Not a surgical room, examines my husband, puts a light and camera down his nose and says yea that is nothing, ok good done. Billed co pay, then billed $269.00 for surgical room and hospital charge, WHAT? HELLO? spoke to the insurance company, she says you went to the hospital for the procedure right? I now am like UMMMM, The hospital is where I go for all my appointments, from primary care to what ever, it was a drs office, a drs exam room, not a hospital surgical room, she says oh, then I will send this back, you shouldn't be charged for a surgical room. ok, Hospital says, the bill is right, the insurance says to bill it that way, HUH???? So people ask what the cost will be, before going in to see the specialist, ANY Specialist. I have had EMGs, Echo's, stress test, all kinds of things and never paid more than the co pay. now if I have elective surgery or am in a surgery atmosphere actually using a surgical room, i will pay, but I am not paying this bill, They seem to be changing their billing ethics and I will be leaving Lahey, I know everyone is hurting for money. but to get greedy and to try and roll a patient that has been with you for 25 years that is sad.

Someone very close to me went there when they were very ill. The doctors at Lahey said she would die. She was transferred to MGH and they disagreed, and they were right. That's all you need to know about Lahey.

I have been with this hospital for over 20 yrs now my first twos Doc,s have been great this new doc. The worst Doctor I have ever had in my life . Have you ever had a Doctor that has never touched me never took my blood presser, never checked my breathing , looked in my ears eyes nothing . She has been my Doctor two yrs I have given her the benefit of the doubt she only care about what she wants not what you might need nor dose she care. I have been having this with most of my Docs there lately so I’m looking for a new hospital it’s a shame I’m feeling this way .

Doctors are good but that's about it, would never recommend this place to anyone

The “front office” of Doctor Ganz and Doctor Tchong is extremely inefficient. In my experience, it requires several phone calls to accomplish a simple task, ie., renew a prescription. I am extremely frustrated, absolutely no reflection on the Doctors. Lahey needs to address their staffing issues. Patients see a doctor because they are ill and require compassionate staff that doesn’t make excuses regarding their busy day.

F B E TV

I loved the level of care I received here. The nurses were lovely and I used the valet every time because the valet is just $10 versus taking the chances on the cost on hourly parking.

Mark Tremblay

Had spinal fusion surgery recently- very impressed with the staff, facilities and general care provided during my stay. Holiday weekend to boot. Special shout out to the medical team at 7 central who were all great, Christina in particular- thanks for the great care

Jungle Justice

Hospital nurses are rude and are not on the same page with the Doctors. They seem annoyed at all times with patients in the ER. Not offering any real help to someone who is sick and needs answers. Mass general, or Saints Memorial are far better options for care.

Anthony grant

Made no mention of having to pay for parking. Being a north shore destination as opposed to an inner city hospital, there’s no excuse for this obvious cash grab. Not to mention staff was rude, inattentive and dismissive. I have serious reservations about ever returning to that particular facility again.

My daughter went yesterday for acute abdominal pain, diagnosis was complicated because they did a CT scan without contrast then hours later decided they needed the contrast, discussed transferring her to Mt Auburn and for hours it was our choice to stay or transfer and the at midnight the choice was just theirs to transfer. Every step of the process was poorly communicated and for most of the time my daughter was in pain and felt neglected and that no one was listening to her. Onto Mt Auburn with hopes for better treatment

Emergency room wait for a very sick person on 9/10/20 was 6+ hours to get to see nurse and ER doctor. Pleasant front desk person, easy registration process and took vital signs in an hour and then the wait. Others said they were waiting more than 6 hours and it was everyone not just us. Two said they were in the ER room the week before and it was the same. This hospital is severely understaffed. No separation for people with Covid symptoms and no question when checking in about Covid symptoms? Unfortunately there isn’t a lot of other hospitals because they bought them up and there is no cpm

I can’t say all nurses and dr are no good because I would be lying. I was sent to see dr Abhinav K. Tiwary MD because of ketone and proteins due to problems with my kidney and he acused me of making myself throw up. I’m a beautiful woman with a lot going for herself and three beautiful kids who need me, I just wasn’t feeling well, why would I ask for help if I’m harming myself? Makes no sense.. Never took a minute to hear me out because he went by my past history in my chart. I suffer from anxiety and have ptsd so some drs use it against me and I felt that is what he did. I’ll never see him again.

Check your bills, check your bills. Im not prone to exaggeration but WOW....these guys charge for things not performed and double charge for things that are. One instance, had a doctor appointment to clean a cut, doctor was too busy and asked a PA to help, both charged me for the cleaning and both charged for the visit, PA charged more!!!! I only made one appointment that day, with the doctor. Shady...... Read the reviews folks!

Okay, so the food might be okay. BUT...lots of my family members went there and, well, died. They misdiagnosed plenty of relatives on my moms side. So many heart breaks have been made here (according to other reviews) Maybe you have different experiences. Probably wouldn’t recommend. At all..

I came to Lahey with my niece yesterday for pretesting for her upcoming knee surgery first we went to admitting then to the third floor for xrays which took an hour then to the second floor for blood work which was quite an experience then back to admitting at which time they actually signed her in took another 3 hrs.We spent 8 hrs in the hospital for a two hour surgery.I have been in the medical field for more than ten yrs.never have I seen such a total mess. I have no faith in this hospital .Needless to say my niece will not be having her surgery here.Did you ever hear the saying too many cooks spoil the soup? I have never seen such a wastefulness as far a jobs go it took 7 people to do a job that one person could have accomplished.I will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience. And will never recommend anyone have any procedure at this hospital.I think that you should take a very close look at the way things are being done here.Maybe your employees should read the patient privacy policies. And then treat your patients with the kind of compassion and care they so deserve instead of treating them like cattle this is a medical facility not the registry of motor vehicles!!!!!!

I have had numerous surgeries at this hospital and have a wide variety of doctors for different specialists, and all are not only top notch smart with medical knowledge, but they are equally as compassionate as well. Staff treated me great. I had a nurse named Sheila who was very transparent with me. I also met Dr Fu. and Dylan Jones, who helped me a lot. I forget the names of the other 2 people that took care of me but they were great as well. Thank you all for your service. Updated 9/11/2020 Had an EEG don't today. I'm not trying to get anyone jameed up, but what I will say is that the person that "took care" of me made me feel more uncomfortable than I already did about being tested. I think the person was aware of it and tried to change their energy but it just lingered. Hopefully they don't have that affect on everyone their assigned to.

Dayna Carroll Ford

Horrible! Took my 81 year old mother to the ER yesterday and it took 5 hours for them to run blood work and the first urine. An hour and a half later they told us they lost the urine sample and had to do it again!! We were there a total of 8 hours and there were only two other people in the ER - they even said it was a slow day. Unacceptable!!

I feel that since Beth Israel took over, customer service issues have gotten worse. My husband has an appointment at Lahey Peabody. But we got the text for Burlington ( because everything is connected) and if I didn't call because I was unsure of the text from Burlington confirmation, my hubby and I would have spent over $100 in Ubers AND missed his oncology appointments which are necessary to his his continued remission.

My son arrived via ambulance after a car accident. Almost 6 hours it took to discharge him with "motrin". The ER not clean-COVID SANITATION definitly not visible or in place.Drive the extra 15 minutes & go to Boston-where decent care & compassion still exists!

Sonya Hartley

Worst, most humiliating, experience of my life. I've been going a long long time. They've always not been good. This last experience pushed me to the edge. I'm getting treatment somewhere else.

Christina Holmes

First off ... the ER is not so hot. The nursing staff in the ER is horrendous. Then you move upstairs and the nursing assistants never come in to help . Some of the staff was nice and we had one doctor that had HORRENDOUS beside manners . It was an infectious disease doctor and she didnt care one bit that she left my mother's wound open when it was supposed to be covered and she even told her that she didnt have time to do this and to call a nurse ! We were appalled. To add to many other things the food is DISGUSTING... how do you mess up vegetables? AND ! It was SUPER SALTY!!! GROOOOSSSS! So disappointed in this hospital other than the few nice doctors and nurses upstairs on 7th central .

Was on vacation in the Boston area when I came here in the middle of the night due to severe stomach pains. ER receptionist, nurses, and doctors all had the most professional bedside manner. They truly cared for you. Was there some of a wait, of course, every ER has some wait. People in life or death cases obviously must come first and be cared for first. But they were efficient, thorough, and most importantly, kind. Also, the ER was brand new and clean. Being from out of town I had no idea what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you!

I am recuperating from cancer surgery at Lahey Hospital. Every single interaction with Lahey staff, from surgeons to doctors to nurses to nursing assistants to office personnel, was efficient, highly professional, empathetic and cheerful. A very impressive healthcare institution.

kelli daniels

I would give them zero except my endocrinologist was good. This place is a SCAM. They bill you for a hospital visit even if you are going to your Dr's office. Originally, I went in to have a follow up MRI. They canceled my appt the day of because I needed to have lab work done but because of covid they wouldn't let me in the door with my masked, well behaved son. So I had to postpone the lab work to layer in the day. They canceled my appt and made me wait an extra hour out in my hot car again because of covid. When they did the MRI they didn't use contrast even though my dr ordered it. I had emailed her the day before asking about contrast and she said I needed it. I left there irritated. But I was more annoyed when I received my bill. I had an office visit follow up with my dr and apparently they charge as if I was in the hospital. So now I owe 4xs more than what I should have owed for my 5 minute appointment. They never authorized my MRI so I was charged for that too. I have had to call them and the insurance back and forth so many times. The last time their billing basically told me that that is how they bill. So I told them I was never going to go there again. And I plan on telling everyone I know as well. I've dealt with them before at Burlington where they charge ridiculous amounts just to park at the facility to see your Dr. But somehow then they weren't charging for an appt as if I was going to the hospital. I guess they figured they could squeeze more money out of people this way. RIP OFF.

My father has been going to Lehey for years for Meniere's Disease. This is a relatively unknown disease that attacks the inner ear with incapacitating symptoms of severe vertigo. We live two hours from Lehey and before he finally went there; the specialists in our area could give him no answers or relief. Lehey has changed his life. Now it is my turn. I tried other specialists before finally committing to the commute to Lehey for hyperthyroidism and I have been very satisfied with the diligence, thoroughness, sensitivity and overall professionalism of everyone I have had to work with there. Including the staff at the Endocrinology department, phlebotomists, and ultrasound techs. I hate the 4 hours on the road but love this medical center.

I was here after an accident, and most of the stuff went well. The doctors told me 3 months after my accident that I was all good to go, and I could go back to work. A month later, I still have the same pain in my knee that I had been suffering from since the accident. Tried Excel Orthopedics which is not that far away, and Dr. Szolomayer there examined my knee to have found a torn PCL, and a defect in the cartilage. Went through a 5 hour surgery, 6 weeks recovery, physical therapy, and still recovering for something LAHEY said I was all good for. Pay attention to the patient. Be more empathetic.

Stay 3 days been billed $7k. People are nice, food were great but the doctors... 3 days seeing 9 different "doctors". Two were awesome know what they doing and the rest simply sucks. One doctor told me my skin were just rush which I have been seeing doctors for past 8 years... internal communication is the worse and they will lie to keep you as long as the can... I ask to see a doctor who can determine I can get out or not in the morning then asked again at noon then again at event and I did see the doctor who can determine I can get out or not for 2 days. Then when I finally see the doctor who were awesome told me he were not sure they kept me this long... If your insurance covers 100% go and have a good vacation time in there. If not don't go as it took me 10 month after the visit to clear the bill as Lahey did not provide the info insurance needed. I had fight and wait for 10 month. I got a $6k out of pocket bill so I had the fight. After 10 month I only paid $1.5k instead of $6k. The two stars is for the two doctors who really knows what they doing and I am grateful for their help.

Simply the best!!. I have been coming to here for as long as I can remember. The Physicians Nurses as well as the Staff are always pleasant and professional .

Jason Leathers

As far as parking, it's cheap and if you get any scripts here you get free hr. As far as emergency room if you are not in crisis two hours is nothing at all. Place is a bit dated and could use a redo. Pharmacy is slow and you wait ten minutes in line if it's just you. Residents seem unpolished and a bit egotistical.

Scott Bryant

Not easy to navigate. Seemed like every intersect hall there was someone looking for directions. Maybe providing maps or written directions and instructions for scheduled appointments. Guest restrooms are disgusting. Waiting areas in the surgical units were not very comfortable. At least offer vending machines and restrooms close by.

This place has jerked me around worse than a wooden roller-coaster. They prop me up with false hopes and promise follow-up calls, only to deny all prior claims, accuse me of being a liar, and every single secretary, manager, and patient advocate that I spoke to contradicted each other. At one point, my doctor literally *hung up on me* while I was in the middle of explaining a desperate situation, and the patient advocate department seemed to be no help. I call pretty much weekly to follow up because I almost never get the promised return call, and I am usually answered cordially and asked to hold, then a triage nurse answers. They literally pass me off rather than speak to me. The latest development is a violation of my patient confidentiality laws, and they transferred my info *without my consent or knowledge* to another facility. The manager, Andrew, told me that himself, and acted surprised that I had no knowledge of the transfer. I never consented, or even suggested transferring my records. To say this facility is a dog and pony show is still giving it too much credit. These "doctors" do not care about me as a patient or a human being. They do not care that they are creating an impossible situation for patients to navigate. And they absolutely do not care about legal issues. They continue to to pass the buck and cover their butts. They even ammend the transcripts of thr calls to make themselves look better. They litetally *do not* log a *recording* of the call, but rather a *summarized transcript* of what was said. So, legally speaking, they can present the conversations in a very different light than the reality of the conversation. This has been my experience and it boggles the mind. This facility is a joke.

I was transported there as an emergency patient with a seriously infected kidney: overall the staff was knowledgeable, professional, and mature. But it did seem that the younger the attendants were, the harsher the verbal treatment got: I was shouted at, belittled, treated as if I were an old senile woman--anyone who entered the room, no matter how often during the day, insisted I give them my name, age, dob, half a dozen others. It felt like a game of who can be nastier. The older the nurses and staff were, the more friendly they were. I learned by the second day that if I wanted food I would do well to take only already packaged commercial products like Cheerios, whole milk, etc. The rest was steam table and not very good at that. Sadly. I realize this is not a resort spa, but when you're in pain, a bit of kindness and understanding can go a long way to ease the process...

Laura Dunlevy

I would never recommend Lahey to anyone especially Dr. Elizabeth Martin. I saw her for an ongoing foot injury. She did a cortisone injection which made the pain worse and was told they can’t give anything to help with pain so my PCP had to call something in because I was crying in pain. I continue to see her and she tells me I need to “suck it up” referring to the pain at physical therapy. I got a second opinion and had surgery which confirmed I had broken my calcaneus and it was actually worse then they even expected. If I had continued with Dr. Martin I would have had more months of pain, she already wasted several. I am fully healed and am so glad I became my own advocate and went elsewhere. Lahey insisted she did “nothing wrong.” They lack care and they cancelled several appointments on me last minute as well.

Dr Marcello and his staff in the colorectal surgery department are top notch. Personable, knowledgeable and efficient. They saved my life and became like family.Nursing is short staffed as it is everywhere. Parking is expensive but they are Fast and extremely courteous.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Nestor Tarragona, MD, FHM, FACP He provided me information when it came to finding out my significant others biopsy reports and going above and beyond calling the nephrologist center for me himself! He found answers asap and called me asap regarding who to call and where to go. I got instant phone calls literally to help book my significant others follow up appointment with the kidney specialist. Thank you for going above and beyond and not letting me go on a loop de loop. I would also like to thank the staff and other amazing doctors including the ER for taking care and helping my beloved when he needed it. To be continued... it ain't over yet! He still needs a tune up! Thanks again! xoxoxo

My husband was transported by ambulance to ICU 5 West on 2/24/20 - 2/26/2020 I am so grateful for the professional and kind care we all received. The staff had the grave responsibility of keeping my husband alive , and keeping myself and young adult sons calmly informed. I can’t actually find the words to express how impressed and grateful I am for expertise and humanity of the neuro team on ICU 5 west. Thank you and God bless

3 months ago they made a apoitment. Then never called to tell me it was canceled I have to wait 3 months again very bad staff

This has to be the worse hospital I have ever been to. From the receptionist in the ER to the staff, they are very rude and do not put the patients first. My 8 year old daughter was sent to the ER because of severe stomach pains and throwing up 7 times in 5 hours time. She had nothing in her stomach for over 11 hours due to the pain and she couldn't even keep water down. After spending over an hour in the waiting room, we spent over 2 hours in the ER with no one to come see if we were okay or if my daughter needed anything. She was just lying in bed in tears and explaining that the pain was a “10” on a scale of 1-10 but nothing was done. We continued to get glares from across the reception desk but no urgency or care was taken. After waiting more than 3 hours, I decided to take my daughter elsewhere. If you need care for your loved ones, don't take them here. My daughter nor anyone in my family will ever step foot in this hospital again.

Zafir Latessa

Awful neurology reception staff! Wasted two hours of travel time after being told my dad would be seen, just to be turned away when we got there.

Excellent interchange, very helpful and kind people. Customer service and assistance. Intake prompt and to the point. Appointments are on time with prior notice of time and date. My physicians there have been superlative. Coordination is excellent. I still go there and I still recommended very highly Parking is disgusting. My hematologist had that telephone conversation schedule which he missed. I had to call and he was too busy to let me know my test results. I guess this time is more important than my time. However I had some testing today to which went like clockwork and I appreciate it.

I've enjoyed every doctor that I've interected with and find them to be very skilled and professional. The people who answer the phones, schedule appointments, follow-up on open issues, etc are mostly awful. There's a lot of apathetic, uncaring and incompetent people working in support positions for this organization. Nothing, I repeat nothing happens in a timely and efficent manner here.

I have had two hospital stays and many dr appointments. Just want to say the service from all departments has been great. I do however, have one complaint. The valet parking is too inefficient. Most of the folks that use this are handicapped and are elderly. I have COPD and have a very difficult time walking up the hill to the hospital when most times I am forced to walk up to the front door, Thank you.

Beyond disappointed with how I was taken care of at Lahey Burlington ER today. I spent 10 hours in terrible pain with a swollen left side of my abdomen waiting for an MRI only for them to tell me “sorry we can’t do it tonight”. The whole time I was there I wasn’t checked in on and was pushed off over and over saying oh you’ll just have to wait another hour or so. The nurse repeatedly said “I’m sorry that shouldn’t have happened” when I was leaving which clearly shows they messed up. I do not wish to continue any form of treatment there as I do not feel I should put my health in the hands of people who treat their patients this way. If you or your friends/family need to visit somewhere I suggest finding a better and more professional place to go to. I have never felt so neglected by people who are supposed to care for patients and do not feel confident returning. Don’t waste your time like I did. Share so nobody else has to deal with this BS.

My life was saved by Dr. Francone after undergoing a Crohns Disease operation. I was left to die at St. Joseph Hosp in Nashua, NH. This doctor is the best. I am here typing this because of him.. THE BEST..!!!

Parking fee is expensive! First 3 hours is 5 bucks I brought my mom for her doctor's appointment it took us only 1 hour & 6 minutes, they don't care they will charged you full amount it doesn't matter if its less than 2 hours, minutes or so. Ridiculous!

Lahey mis diagnosed my husband's pancreatic cancer as irritable bowel syndrome. They also pumped barium into him 3 times for testing without noticing that the first two barium doeses were not passed and created a ten inch barium log that had to be removed using a water cannon. We moved to Dana Farber, but I am convinced Lahey killed my husband before cancer could. I moved ALL my own care out of Lahey and do not recommend cancer care there to anyone, or at least for me, ANY other care.

I cant thank enough the Lahey Burlington nurses and staff at the MICU. They showed such good care and compassion for my mother that was there for a week. U guys rock we love u! Kelsey Emma and the rest were absolutely amazing. Thank you!!

Just sharing with the larger community that Lahey Clinic is not the place to go for concerns around Lyme or other tick borne diseases. As a science based Lyme advocate, patients are reaching out to me with great concern. These Drs are not Lyme literate nor do they understand how the diagnostics work. Patient advocacy is not helpful or able to take in feedback when information is made available to them. Avoid.

Shawn Keefe

I have received ongoing care with a specialist at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and am more than pleased with the team and facility. Although the size of the campus and building seems daunting, the level of attention and care given to patients is fantastic.

I have been coming to this hospital for a long time . I haven’t had any major issues with how they treat anyone up until the past few times I have called the operators of any department I talk to transfer my call before I can finish describing why I am calling and what I need to speak about . Because of this I have spent much time waiting on the line only to find out I was transferred to the wrong departments . Seems like their customer service skills are going down the drain . The operators are very abrupt and can’t wait to get you off the phone and onto the next . I find it rude .

Greatest hospital I have been admitted to. They are all about team work and precision. The hospital is ran like a Swiss watch! They do not miss anything. Patients are first. The level of professionalism is at the highest compared to all other health care facilities I have visited. I drive 80 miles to go there. They keep people alive. They heal patients.

My mother is in the emergency room now. One of my brothers was in there with her and when he left he said that my other brother was coming in. The nurse, Molly fail d to tell him that my other brother couldn’t come in because of Covid protocol. My other brother came all the way from Merrimack, New Hampshire, a trip that could have been saved if the nurse told my first brother about the protocol. If you are going to have Covid protocol, the nurses need to be told to inform family members about it!

Marilyn Imperial

If you need a primary care doctor don’t even attempt to make one here. I was on the phone on hold and I got transferred around to about 5 different people because no one could get me on the line of where I needed to be. The first women ended up sending me to a nephrology department all I needed was a sick appointment to see a doctor. The last extension I got to after almost an hour I think hung up on me by accident. I’m at work and just wasted an hour of my time now to come out with still no appointment. Don’t even waste your time.

Iwey Byaarp

Most rude operator ever. I was still talking and she just hung up on me. Seriously, that's not how operators should be. Very disappointing.

Bianca Costa

I’m very pleased with everything I had done in this hospital, very friendly staff and the Doctors are considered the best

The negligence of my multiple doctors and the callous cruelty of their support staff have traumatized me to say the least. The details are painful and frankly unnecessary as I will summarize thus: because of the misguided care (or lack thereof) I received over the course of 10 years, my health had deteriorated to an agonizing and life-threatening state from which I continue to recover many years later. I will be recovering from this damage for the rest of my life. I am not alone and have heard heartbreaking stories from a few people with similar experiences at Lahey Burlington. My best recommendation to anyone in need of help or compassion regarding their minds and bodies, is to go anywhere else and avoid the beauracracy and corporatization of this hospital.

Marty Tildsley

Horrible experience here with my mom. She was originally there for a stroke. They transferred her to a rehab center two days after the stroke. She had another episode the next day at the rehab center. She should never have been transferred that quickly. So she was back at the Lahey Neuro ICU for about two months as her health worsened. The main doctor disappeared on us after a month. They said he went on vacation. We never heard from him again. Meanwhile, the heartless case worker kept calling the family saying we should consider pulling the plug, saying how costly rehab would be. She had her mind set on getting my mom out of there. They finally transferred her to NE Sinai in Stoughton 10:30 at night last Tuesday. She died less than 12 hours later at New England Sinai. If this isn't a case of patient dumping, I don't know what one is...

THIS HOSPITAL LACKS COMMUNICATION IN DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS IF YOU DON'T SAY SOMETHING ON YOUR RECORD THEY DON'T LOOK AT IT ONLY INTERESTED IN WHAT DEPARTMENT YOU SEE I HAD A ABLATION FOR AFIB AND A WATCHMAN PUT IN MY HEART LESS THAN 24 HOURS OUT THE DOOR NOBODY CALLED TO ASK IF I WAS DOING OK NO PAIN MEDICATION GIVEN THE POINT IS NOBODY GIVES A $HIT AFTER A WEEK CARING FOR MYSELF SAW NP TOLD HER MY FEELINGS COULD NOT CARELESS SHE GOT HER 350$$ FOR 15 MINUTES OF TIME THIS HOSPITAL IS VERY EXPENSIVE SO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE WELL COVERED

Lee Ketelsen

I was brought there after a car hit me. While the doctors and most individual nurses were good, the care I got was so bad in the first few days that it traumatized me again. No one seemed to know my limitations, for example although I could not use my hands at all, I was given a call button I was supposed to squeeze and I could not call anyone. This persisted until a better nurse told me they had another type of button. Another example, several times I was left on a full bed pan for 30 mins before anyone would assist me, despite me calling for help several times. After my family complained persistently, care got better in the last few days. I had to hire personal care attendants to meet my needs when my family could not be there. Great to have a private room, and some nurses were later very caring, overall it was horrible care given my condition. Acute pain was not addresses for days.

Joyce Russo

I have been with Lahey for over 10 years and have had great care, compassion, service. Several procedures including a transplant and experienced above board care. However, today's phone experience has me riled and my BP running high. Wanted to make an appt for my husband with his Internist. I started at 8:02 and was on hold for 53 minutes. Yes, I have a photo on my phone to prove that. Called dept. number, selected option and listened to horrible music and three people cutting in to say "Interal Medicine, hold". My cell was drained by the time someone finally picked up but I did get an appt. All I keep hearing is "we're under staffed". There are agencies that hire temp help, call them.

Maureen Long

Lack of communication between drs and support staff. Lack of compassion by nursing staff. Had to ask for help several times before anyone felt the need to respond, definitely made to feel as though patients and families were a huge inconvenience

Aleksey Ovchinnikov

Good and big hospital.

Trying to find a PCP, I was transferred to their gastroenterology number. After many minutes on the phone, taking my information, during which time I had mentioned I was looking for a PCP, it was made clear they did not have any PCPs. The woman on the phone laughed at me for calling the wrong place (I was transferred), I said it wasn't funny, and she continued to laugh.

Nelly PeeWee

Let the Records show that Lahey Willingly kills people who go there for help. Patients ask for the proven to be very effective Ivermectin and Lahey refuses. Lahey would rather kill someone, than save their life. Stop taking people to this Hospital. If you love your family, don't go here. They are motivated by killing and money, not a good Mix. Ivermectin is a wonder drug according to Dr. FAUCI

Won Hong

Do not recommend this hospital. Be careful!

I came to ER and the front desk lady was very rude. I was hoping Atleast the front desk staff would be more professional and polite

Nehmat Constantine

Will never go back to that emergency room and if I can give less than 1 star I would do immediately. Reception staff are extremely rude. My husband and I stayed in the waiting room for more than two hours. And when we asked the reception when to be in, they said it's assessed based on the medical condition priority! Is a tick in the ear a JOKE? After about 2 hours my husbands face swelled on one side and his eye started closing and still we weren't flagged for a room yet a walk in with a headache got in fine! And they sent us the security because my husband raised his voice due to his pain and the way she was talking to us. After that we left immediately to another respectful emergency room.

I was in Partners Health system (now known as Mass General Brigham) for 10 years and switched to Lahey around 2014 and have been pleasantly surprised. Lahey seems more organized than Partners did.

A great place to go if you have a stroke. My wife was pretty much back to normal after a few hours.

I wish I could leave ZERO stars! The complete and utter ineptitude of the staff here is just beyond comprehension. Today was the last straw. I went in for a pre-scheduled blood draw when some nosey nurse started asking me questions. I informed her that I had already checked in at the front desk and I knew the procedures for my blood draw. She then took it upon herself to dig into my medical file. She came back to tell me that I was in the wrong location because I was scheduled for a urine sample! I was beyond furious! She then had the nerve to ask me if I knew why I was there at all! I do not care if I am on deaths door because I will NEVER go back to this place ever again!

Robert Howard

I had prostate surgery on 6/29. That was not pleasant, but the staff encounters, from Check-in to discharge, and everything in-between, were terrific! Very courteous, professional, and reassuring, excellent! I especially want to give a giant high-five to the nursing staff - prep, recovery, and on the unit, who were amazing. A very supportive group of talented people stepping up at an anxious time for me! Thank you so much!!

Josh Clinton

White hospital for rich white people problems. Too busy dealing with junkies popping pills than the average Juan.

Love Lahey but Dr Gillian McCaferty is an uncaring doctor ,especially if you are on Medicaid.

James Hall

I must say, after two visits to two different doctors, I am really impressed with Lahey. You don't have that "rushed" and "everyone's too busy" feel you get with some Boston area hospitals. Both doctors spent over 30 minutes each discussing my situation with me and have given me the feeling that this is going to turn out all right. The hospital and the primary care facilities are both modern, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. Their computer system is great (the second doctor had all the notes from the first doctor at his finger tips; they send what they want to the lab, so when you get to the lab they are ready; prescriptions they wrote were waiting for me at CVS an hour later). My previous PCP's office was like a third-world missionary clinic compared to Lahey! Well, now I have seen 4 doctors at Lahey, and have had surgery. All 4 doctors have been nothing but understanding, pleasant, helpful, and so incredibly talented in their specialties. I had a portion of my thyroid gland removed in November. A routine surgery for the surgeon, but new to me. I met with the surgeon a few weeks before the surgery and he explained everything beautifully, making me feel everything was going to go as planned. The day of surgery, I arrived at 9 AM as requested, and was in the operating room at 10, and in the PACU* at 11:30. When I woke up in the PACU, I felt absolutely fine...as if I had just woken up from a nap. I had no pain whatsoever (at first, I thought maybe my blood pressure had spiked and they had not done the surgery...until I felt the bandage on my neck). But the nearly 2 inch incision did not hurt then, and has never hurt since. The doctor had booked me to stay overnight, but I could have easily gone home right then. When I was released the next day, I went shopping after I got home! The nurses in the PACU were very pleasant and helpful. Very nice folks. And I got to see a real operating room! Not at all like on TV :) *PACU = "post anesthesia care unit"...Lahey's name for the recovery room.

My many visits to Lahey have involved scheduled doctor's appointments in the Rheumatology Department. I have never been an inpatient. Each time, I have come away feeling that every facility should use Lahey as a model. The check in procedure is fast and efficient. I hardly have an opportunity to sit in the waiting area before being called in for my turn. The doctors are gifted, compassionate people who take the time to listen. I have never felt rushed. Followup lab work is also completed easily as the order is now done electronically - so by the time I walk down to the lab, they are expecting me. Occasionally there is a back up and it can take some time. Overall, I believe that a 5 star rating is warranted. Kudos to the staff at Lahey.

Nurses in ICU were great ans some on 6central were as well. However such poor communications with family regarding family discharge plan and no considerations for patient in thw process . Hospital is old and needs a face lift. Make the drive and go to BOSTON people...this is the mecca of hospitals ans you havs a choice...DO NOT CHOOSE LAHEY

We are from Indiana. While vacationing my husband suffered a stroke. Within 30 minutes they had him cat scanned and TPA was given. The drs and nurses are fantastic! We were able to drive him home after 4 days to rehab at home. Thank you for taking care of my husband. God bless you all.

My partner had xrays done three hours ago still waiting for the “doctors” to get back with results. Pathetic place! This place should be shut down by the government and prosecuted. God have mercy on your soul if you need to go to the emergency room. Most incompetent and rude personal. Wait time is literally in days regardless of your condition. Any hospital is better than this place.

Michael Kelly

I have been coming here all my life. It is always clean and to warm for me. They are constantly renovating or adding to the building..past few years they have been expanding to other near by buildings... optometry always seems to run late no matter the doctor...mental health it was 10-15 yrs ago didn't really help me ..just push medications.. seems to be wife experience too. It is a teaching hospital but u can always say no..they do try to onboard procedures to reduce costs..seen this more in past 5 yrs

Lahey began as a small & excellent clinic in Boston. Over the last century it's expanded into a big hospital with satellites. Unfortunately, Lahey’s quality has dropped as much as its size has increased. Like most hospitals there is good & bad. Excellent doctors include Ying in Nephrology, Cushing in endocrinology. Lemos in Orthopedic Surgery, and Jenkins in Transplantation/General Surgery. Nevertheless, the nursing staff and most of the clinic have sunk into mediocrity. Lastly, the psychiatry dept. is to be avoided! Lahey's psychiatrists are poor. Further, when I merely threatened to report a Lahey psychiatrist's irresponsible practice to the Board of Registration in Medicine, the dept. "terminated" my care (after I'd been a patient there, off and on, for more than 15 years without incident). Really I should thank Lahey Psychiatry; their dropping me led me to drastically better care at MGH

8-13-2021 - keep being switched to different departments with no resolution. Terrible patient service. I need them to fax a referral to an out of state provider - seemingly simple task. On the phone multiple times and can't get any resolution that another out-of-state provider NEEDS! Billing is about the worst. Incorrect filling with insurance so my insurance would not cover. And when one goes to my chart there is no way to send a message to them (sneaky). At least if one had the capability of messaging there would documentation. Primary doc and staff - inefficient make errors, condescending attitude, long wait, incorrect charge to insurance. Nurse or assistant gave incorrect information then when asked for actual referral again didn't provide correct referral to take to my local provider/bloodwork - Lahey charges more for there bloodwork while I can pay a lesser amount at the one recommended by my PPO and almost fully paid. Will have to consider seeking out somewhere else though several of specialists are IMO the best. They also did not inform me of all these different charges they have imposed - a big surprise financially. Urge everyone to obtain an estimate, IN WRITING, before you go. Really too bad as the have some of the best specialists in New England - BUT - they are not the only ones.

D S

I can't stress this enough!! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!! The phlebotomist collapsed my cephalic vein after being told I have "perfect veins to tap". My Mother went here after stepping on a toothpick one Thanksgiving while bombing around the house barefoot like the busy bee she is.. They removed a ¼" of it and was told it was all out. After days of pain, she went to M.G.H and they removed another ¼" of it informing her that it was beginning to show infection! . On top of all this, I know at least 4 other horror stories from friends and their loved one's who have been misdiagnosed or recieved negligent care! STAY AWAY!

Linda Walsh

Standard services but charges are outrageous. Took my son for standard allergy test and he had 12 standard allergen prick test. A few weeks later, we see that there were actually 2 claims filed for the service. One from the doc, which is standard and rates are on par with other places (around $800 pre-insurance charge and our insurance covered all of it). But the second one from the hospital was crazy, they wanted an extra $2000 pre-insurance and they charge this as a hospital outpatient service (outpatient service means my plan didn't cover 100% and we are out pocket for over $1000). We understand that some hospitals charge extra, but extra $2000 for 12 allergen prick test is ridiculous

I was rushed by Ambulance to Lahey in Burlington. She found me unconscious after I must’ve fallen out of my bed. She was with me for hours in the Emergency for hours while I was being tested for any brain damage. The wonderful doctors & nurses kept her informed through the night and every day and night for the 9 days & nights while I was an impatient! My care was exceptional., including the best medical care, cleanliness, and after home care!

I won't go into detail, it would be very long. But the Dr. in Neurology she deserves a one star. Didn't even take the time to find out concerning my needs and past medical history. Could have cared less. A bad experience.for me. No Dr. patient communication. Pretty bad for a first visit.

My sister was admitted here to ICU, the entire time she was there we received updates & conference calls, and her care was top notch. Compared to Yale Hospital in New Haven, this place is golden. When the time came for my sister to go to Hospice care, they were with her 24/7 until she passed, there wasn't a minute my sister didn't have someone talking to her or holding her hand. I can't praise the staff enough for the compassion they have and the dedication to the patient. Diane in ICU was the nicest person on earth. If you have to be in a hospital, this is the place to go. Can't say enough. Nancy/Connecticut

my story is too long/personal to write here, and i also don't want to violate HIPPA with my very long in depth experience. i still have a lot of respect for lahey. i've had good experiences and bad, but the bad will stay with me a little longer. i'm 50/50, unfortunately.

MIGHTY ANGEL

MY GIRLFRIEND WAS HERE 16YRS AGO FOR 46 DAYS. I VISITED WITH HER 45 OF THE 46 DAYS, AVERAGING ABOUT 3 HRS A DAY. DURING THAT TIME, I RECEIVED A GREAT DEAL OF APPRECIATION AND PRAISE FROM THE, ALWAYS SHORT HANDED, NURSING STAFF FOR THE KNOWLEDGE I BROUGHT, THE NUMBER OF THINGS I COULD HELP WITH, AND THE TIME I COULD SPEND HELPING. WERE I TO DO THAT NOW, IT WOULD COST ME AT LEAST $270.00 AND WOULD HAVE PROHIBITED ME FROM VISITING MORE THAN A FEW TIMES. SHE IS EXPECTED TO BE HERE, THIS TIME, FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS. IT IS S VERY TRAUMATIC TIME FOR HER, FOR WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO SPEND MORE THAN THREE HOURS A DAY, AS I AM DISABLED AND HAVE THE TIME AVAILABLE. I CAN AFFORD THE COST OF GAS BUT, WITH THE COST OF PARKING CONSIDERED, I WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO VISIT ONE OUT OF EVERY THREE DAYS. PERHAPS THE MONEY GRUBBING BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS MANAGED TO MISS, THE MULTITUDE OF STUDYS I HAVE RUN ACROSS, THE LAST FOURTY YEARS, RELATED TO, NOT JUST THE IMPORTANCE OF LOVED ONES, IN PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING OF PATIENTS, BUT HEALING AS WELL. NOT ONE OTHER HOSPITAL, THAT I HAVE BEEN TO WITH MY GIRLFRIEND, AND THERE HAS BEEN MANY, HAS HAD THE BLATANT DISRESPECT FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT I FIND HERE. THAT DISRESPECT IS ONLY EXCEEDED BY THERE APPARENT CONTEMPT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, BOTH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL. THEY, OBVIOUSLY, HAVE SOME FIRST RATE PEOPLE WORKING HERE. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT, TOP TIER MANAGEMENT IS SO COLLECTIVELY NEAR SIGHTED. FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE A, MOSTLY UNTAPPED, WELL OF KNOWLEDGE OF, AND ASSISTANCE TO, THE PATIENT THAT CAN, AT TIMES, WHEN ALLOWED, ASSIST THE STAFF IN A MULTITUDE OF WAYS. I DO, PRAISE THE STAFF, IN THEIR PATIENTLY LISTENING TO MY KNOWLEDGE OF AND REQUESTS FOR MY FRIEND, AND ALLOWING ME TO ASSIST IN HER CARE, AND MAKING HER COMFORTABLE. I ONLY WISH I COULD DO MORE.

I can't believe a Hospital in Burlington can provide service so poor. I consulted my physician 4 months ago for a service, actually I called, they told me that I had to go see the Doctor first. They have my record, I saw her before. She is lazy, only cares about the money. no f/u from physician or secretaries. I made 4 phone calls within 2 months, spoke with 2 people both, said they will get back to me, until today no answer. Very disorganized. I had 2 bad experiences at the lab adding to this event, I can't see myself ever facing this doctor and secretaries again. She should have followed up to see what the lazy and inexperienced secretaries were doing.

Barbara Barnett

Oncologist was competent. Room, bed, food, and especially oncology staff were appalling. Do not recommend and will never go there again.

Suzanne Powell

The urologist is an idiot, the rms are not clean, been going there 10 yrs. Not one doctors

I was lucky enough to have my doctor at the Salem Hospital get me an appointment with a neurologist in Burlington quickly. I was supposed to see one neurologist and wound up seeing a doctor Kit Mui. This appointment was to check and see if I had a TMJ because of the severe pain in my jaw and back of my neck and the inability to move my head, chew or open my mouth. (Pain is constant from 6-9). Dr Mui spent our time together playing with his mask. He never checked me out. Told me to make sure I had my biopsy for temporal arteritis. He called in my pain med for me and prescribed aspirin also. Even I know you are NOT to take aspirin before any surgery. As soon as I left, he called my pharmacy and cancelled my pain med. He did not tell me. This man did not care how much pain I was in or do anything to find the cause. Never see this dr. unless you want no care for your illness.

paul wallace

I cant believe the level of incompetence. This is the second time in 5 years I have had to fight them about bills. I finally go them to submit the correct bills to the insurance company after 5 month of fighting and over 4300 dollars. There needs to be laws to protect the consumer against these places and fines if they bill incorrectly. I should be entitle to the amount of time on the phone with insurance companies and going over my bills. Stay away at all cost.

Stephen Greenberg

Edit: Been going there the past few years cause they were the only ones taking on new patients for primary care at the time and I had no choice. There are some good people there its just a really big place with alot going on so not everyone is great. Definitely solid three stars on average and 5 if your with someone good Been there twice, once for dislocated shoulder once to get a cyst injected with cortisone. Dislocated shoulder was truly a nightmare. The lack of professionalism was horrifying. 1. Wheeled me to get xrays before nurse gave painkillers. 2. Dr failed to put shoulder in after 10 plus attempts 3. dr tried to inject some muscle relaxant tried 5 more times still failed 4. put me to sleep to try, i woke up and he still had failed after trying god knows how many times 5. Finally, after lying there for awhile some specialist came over and fixed it in 5 minutes after I'd been there for almost 9 hours. Gave me more painkillers fell asleep 6. I woke up they had literally wheeled my bed to the exit and left me there unattended. As soon as i was concious and got someones attention the paperwork man came rushed me through paperwork and out the door Getting the cyst injected with cortisone, worked out pretty well but only because I knew what I wanted and how to ask for it. If i had just gone in and asked for help they would have read my the first page google results and had me on my way. All in all i'm sure there are a few true professionals but most of the people seem like untrained civilians with access to medical equipment.(except worse because of their overconfidence) Huge risk going there if you don't specifically know who you'll be dealing with.

Jason Harrington

It's hard to know who to trust in management to do the right thing I feel as though some people just don't care

Today is the last time I'm ever coming here. Besides the sub standard care, you wait forever and pay for a parking garage in Burlington while you wait. Had to come to the walk in clinic because of conjunctivitis, 90 minutes later I'm waking up from a nap in an exam room. But heh, I'm next so any hour now.....I just need some freaking eye drops, not a hip replacement..... I should have listened to myself but I'm changing doctors today. These folks are criminals. The manipulated billing and attitude are over the top. My primary care doctor has her office here but Everytime I got blood work or an x-ray it was billed as a hospital service similar to me going to an ER. You make your patients pay to park in Burlington, MA which is absolutely ridiculous. The ER does not have qualified medical professionals - my wife was told that "maybe they should send her over to Winchester" but then kept her, called her doctor (not at Lahey), followed that doctor directions, and then sent us a separate bill for "observation" in addition to the ER charges. Awesome, I get to pay an ER deductible and an extra $700 because your attending physicians didn't know what to do. What did she needed - IV fluids because of morning sickness and dehydration which we have had at 3 other hospitals over the past 7 years with no "observation fees". Don't go here, horrible money shaking business.

I went to the ER this past Saturday night for a foot injury that was becoming unbearable. The doctor that treated me misdiagnosed what was wrong with my foot which made it worse. I ended up having to go see my primary doctor because it was getting worse not better. Also, he ordered an xray that didn't need to be ordered because I had one taken 3 days before I went to the ER and they found nothing broken and I told him that. So on top of having a $125 copay for going to the ER, I am now out of work losing pay because of this fiasco. This doctor should retire if he can't do his job properly and on top of that he was arrogant. Maybe he wasn't happy because he was working on a Saturday night. I would not recommend going there at all!

John Pappas (Lexor)

I received a liver transplant and the care has been great.Transplant team is great. I still have to go back for blood work and exams everyone is always welcoming me back with big smiles. I have also had hernia surgery there in December 2017. Everything went well.

This review is not for the doctors but for the billing services as well as the support system at Lahey. I’ve never dealt with incompetent billing/financial people like at Lahey Central Billing/Scheduling. They don’t know want to do with filling claim when required authorization. And the staff at the doctor office are exact the same. They don’t know how to obtain a pre authorization and they will keep sending you bills then send you to collection. I have been dealing with them on ONE Issue for 6 months until I’m tired of it and just pay the damn bill. This is so sad and I hope management see this and re train your staff to know what to do for the future! My entire family will not go to Lahey again due to this incompetent knowledge and services of your staff.

Debra Byrd

Dr. was rude and unprofessional told me if I didn't like what he had to say then I should go SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! WOW time for you to retire Who does he think he is the CEO of hospital ???????? To late I am going to a AAA Hospital. Bye :)

M Dugan

The care at Lahey Clinic is very good, but the costs are extremely high. My procedure was three times the cost it had been a my former doctor office. As soon as you get into their system they hit you up for donations. Neither my husband or I will go back for treatment which is disappointing considering we live less than a mile from the facility.

Rhonda Smith

Love the dr and nurses here they are ssf o sweet and helpful

Abdelilah Boukchouch

Cleaner, prompt, professional and more patient centered than most Boston hospitals where you are treated like a number. Doctors are just as knowledgeable as Boston doctors and SPEND TIME trying to diagnose you. Parking is convenient and costs half the price of BOSTON garages.

Steven Robbins

Whoever came up with the monumentally stupid, irritating idea of moving GIM to a location only known to residents of Burlington (no signs, maps, street directions, but Burlington people don't need them) should be disemboweled with a salad fork. The line: "I'm from Burlington - isn't everyone?" comes to mind. Instead of pretty, four-colored pictures of the building and staff, how about several maps with graphics and manual directions? Too expensive? Try firing the morons who came up with this and that will give you funds for maps (unless the remaining executives take it for "retention bonuses")

Karen Long

The operators need customer service training. They are rude and cut you off before you can ask for the doctor, patient, nurses station etc. Once you FINALLY get to a medical staff person you feel better.

I wrote a review 10 months ago about Lahey Hospital and gave it 5 stars. In the last ten months, I have been admitted to Lahey twice via their ER. I DO NOT KNOW what has happened to Lahey in the last 10 months but this hospital is now SUBSTANDARD! I contracted C-diff from a Boston Hospital months ago and have been in and out of Lahey Hospital seeking a resolution to the C-diff. I went to Lahey Emergency room yesterday because I was ill and dehydrated. Once in the ER room, the staff DID NOT provide a specimen container for a sample, did not provide a call button, allowed a "medic" to practice drawing blood from me (without my permission), did not wash their hands after leaving a C-diff contaminated patient, and did not wear protective gowns. In fact, only one Dr wore a protective gown and gloves in the room despite the WARNING posted outside my room. If anyone in the ER on August 11 gets C-diff it's because the staff did not follow protocol to protect the other patients. A nurse sat at the central station eating ice cream, Salsa, chips and her soda was left near medical equipment. See photo. Eating near vital medical equipment is a HEALTH CODE VIOLATION and I will be reporting this to the Burlington Board of Health. I was released from Lahey because my labs looked "good". But, then went home to have bright, orange C-diff diarrhea every hour for the next 14 hours. I will be going to another hospital tomorrow for my care. Lahey Hospital delivers substandard care. The lack of medical coordination in the ER is appalling! The doctors and nurses don't communicate with each other, the electronic chart EPIC (your medical information) is chronically wrong! More critically, the medical staff IGNORES the patient for long periods of time. I didn't see a nurse for 2.5 hours.

Susan Cragin

Empathetic, well-organized. It's a busy hospital, and the building isn't brand-new or fancy, but the personnel dealing with my breast cancer surgery and follow-up treatment were excellent and appeared to be well-trained, and the equipment is all up-to-date. It's a teaching hospital.

When The ER is doing a competency exam before the examiner should be required to assess and document using the STAR format STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, Result. Using this strategy is particularly helpful in response to competency-focused questions, which typically start out with phrases such as, "Describe a time when..." and "Share an example of a situation where.... This is ideal and would require actually examining and interviewing patients prior to selling them away. Our civil rights have been violated we have been sold. Your industry is going to crash and crash hard because you are working outside of your intended scope and hiding behind SOPs to justify breaking your medical oaths.

Jennifer Castracane

I cannot say enough about the wonderful care I received at Burlington Lahey after my surgery. I was there for five nights and every single member of the staff in all departments (nursing, kitchen, hospital-house keeping, medical students, doctors) was warm, caring and attentive, but not intrusive. They made a potentially difficult time infinitely better!

Came in last night for complicated breathing and was brought in after a short wait. Now I'm in a room, after over 2 hours now and only a EKG that came back fine NOT ONE TEST FOR COVID, NOTHING. On top of all of this I was told my paperwork was lost. That's probably why I've been waiting for that x ray that I never got. Now I'm frustrated, I ask if I can leave because the doctor seemed pretty confident that I didn't need to be there and guess what?? I was able to walk out NO SIGNATURE! Also, the nurse who brought in my discharge bs papers tried to make sign a blank piece of printer paper... WHAT A JOKE.

Michael Toscano

So I went into lahey super sick and they helped me a lot. They didn’t force me to do anything but the nurses named Allana from ER, Rachel, steph, and Kristen In The TCU all did their very best to help me get better and keep me comfortable In The process. And they did. They deserve more appreciation and I appreciate them all personally for doing such a killer job to help me get better. So thank you to all the staff on 6th floor working hard and doing their best. Those nurses named all deserve 5 stars and a raise and cannot thank them all enough. Good people in there.Thank you all. ????

This is the worst hospital visit I've ever experienced. The charges are insane, both professional and hospital charges just to visit the hospital. They even charge high for parking. I will never go back again.

Parking is terrible and you have to pay. Long wait times to get appt and in waiting room. Not the cleanest place either.

The good, the bad and the ugly... The good is the staff that I have dealt with over the last 10 years. Dr.'s and Nurses are great! The bad is their emergency room compared to other hospitals in the area. The ugly is their new computerized system to make appointments. I have been trying to reach a department for two days to make an appointment. Yesterday, I was on the phone for over 20 minutes. At exactly 4pm, I was hung up on. Today, I have been waiting for over 10 minutes now, and keep getting the, "We are sorry...blah, blah, blah". Is there really an access representative?? What does shortly mean? 30 minutes, 1 hour, more? Seriously thinking of changing hospitals. This is ridiculous. UPDATE: I called and complained that over the last two days, I have spent almost 1 hour of on hold time waiting to make a stupid appointment for a simple shot. I was told that didn't make sense and to hold on, she would get me to the right person....AND....here I am in the same endless loop....UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Janet Stewart

I just moved back to MA and needed ER care over the weekend. I always thought Lahey-Burlington had a bad reputation but it was close, so I went. I received great care! Everyone was kind, professional, and caring. They never really figured out what caused my pain but they listened and helped me through it. I did not meet one unhappy person there. All staff were respectful. I read a review about asking your name and DOB continuously and they did that to me too. I believe they have to to make sure you’re you and they give you the right meds/procedures. I think it’s a way to self check that they are giving the right meds to the right person. It didn’t bother me. My husband asked me if I would recommend Lahey-Burlington to someone and I would. I had a good experience. I did get sent home from the ER on my first trip when they stated I was medically stable and they couldn’t find a reason for my pain. I was back the next day and admitted for pain management when they realized I couldn’t just go home and sweat through it. I will say that the process to get into the ER is unpleasant. You’re in pain and you’re relieved when they call you back so quickly. Be warned, you’re only seeing a triage nurse. Then you go back to the waiting room and wait for labs to come get you. So there is a lot of back and forth. That was difficult in my situation. Overall, the staff seemed to genuinely care. I will definitely go back if I need the their services again. My two negative comments about Lahey-Burlington are that you shouldn’t have to pay for parking and the hospital itself seems so dated. I didn’t think it was that old of a building.

Bonita kika

Terrible. I went to the emergency I was in severe pain. I asked them for pain medication they were just looking. The doctors are so rude after 5 hours the nurse came in with motrin from the doctors orders like are you kidding me.

Dr. Kuftenic and Lahey improperly accessed my medical records without providing required opt-out notices. In addition, under the regulations (101 CMR 20.07) the opt-in opt-out mechanism for the Mass HIway ensures that each patient receives written notice describing how a Provider Organization uses HIway-Sponsored Services, and also provides a mechanism by which patients can opt-out of participating in these services.

This is perhaps the most unethical hospital I've been to in terms of billing. A standard yearly physical costs around $300ish at any non-scummy hospital/doctor's offices. Here, they'll bill nearly $600. They bill close to $300 for the doctor's visit, which is typical. But then the hospital bills you and additional $200 because they can. And then they charge you and additional $75 for who knows what - basically an additional "we'll charge you whatever we want" fee. I spoke to a financial advisor at the hospital, and these are fees they are legally allowed to charge, even though most doctor's office style appointments don't charge them. So, you will literally be charged double here for any appointment you would make at any respectable doctor's office. Oh, and you have to pay for parking; In Burlington, where no other business that I know of charges for parking. So not only do they overcharge on the macro level by hundreds of dollars for basic checkups, but they also nickel and dime you on the micro level for parking. And a flu vaccine will be billed at $200 - you know, the one that you can get at any pharmacy for $40 or less. Absolute and utter crooks. Avoid.

Ashley Brown

Had an endoscopy done today there. Everyone very nice! Especially the lovely receptionist! She's amazing I don't know her name but she was there at 8:00am today (8/20/2021)

Lisa Keegan

Sitting here for 5+ hours with Covid waiting for an X-ray. Went up to the girl at check in and she was exceptionally ruined. Just wanted to make sure I was still in line for X-ray as an hour prior they messed up two people with the same name. Too bad she is the front and center of this hospital as the nurses and doctors are great here.

Melanie Bennett

i had to go to audiology but was directed to cardiology because the waiting room was combined . Dog and pony show is a NICE way of putting it. run down is good too. I had to sit next to a woman gasping for air who was about to expire. no one cared, no one helped her. I won't go back.

Brian Dyer

Hospital was extremely rude to my father during the overnights when he was having breathing because of the fluid in his lungs. There was no doctor available overnight to check on him. After that we told them if he was going to die either let us in or we will take him out to be around family. They kept telling us he was going to get past this. So when he did die my mother had to fight with them to go see him. They were working on him for 15 minutes before mother got in there and told them they could stop. My father died alone. My died on 01/10/21, now today 01/27/21 their business department called my mother and asked to speak with him. How does this even happen? Lahey is not somewhere I would take a loved one.

NNEDSC Grants

I have to say that I have been coming to Lahey for several years. I recently had an episode and had to go to the ER. They were very through in testing to see what was going on if anything. Yesterday, I saw my PCP for the first time since I picked her two years ago. Dr Scanlan was awesome. She came prepared after looking over my records, asked questions and listen to my health concerns.

Katerina Zhantuan

This hospital is great. Stuff is super friendly and doctors are knoladgable and caring. Was here unfortunately couple times. Dr.Kopilov is the best anastesiologyst!!! All Anastasiology and Orthopedic surgery department are great!!! Dr.Ma is just caring , nice and knoladgable . Dr.Lamb is great pulmonologist . Over all great team work!!!

The care upstairs once you are admitted is excellent, however the emergency room is a extra long wait, they need more staff.

Don Tommasino

What a joke

Luis Alvernaz

I spent nine hours in the emergency department with my 90 year old mother. The ER nurses were very nice but hardly saw the ER physician for more than 4 minutes and was not kept informed of my mother’s condition. My mother was admitted after 9 hours stay in the ER and taken to 7 east where the staff were nice along with the hospitalist who saw my mother the next day at about 2 pm. We were discharged home on Monday and when I got home I noticed my mother had a large scrap wound in her knee that no one had notice. It is consider to be a trauma center but it didn’t look like one when we arrived. If you don’t have your provider at this Hospital, I would try to avoid coming here.

I've been to this ER and had some great doctors help me. But one doctor in particular is AWEFUL. He's the older one there, he doesn't listen to you , talks down to you, and cost me lots of money and time. I don't write reviews often but in this case I feel obligated. You don't wait 3 hrs for this kind of treatment. Watch out for McCarthy... Me and my girlfriend had the same experience with him.

Staff was great but the security officers that they have there should be working at McDonald's

S

The place is dump. $8ooo billed for conducting tests and would give me records of the tests, asking more money to provide medical records like $8 is not enough to buy printer ink and a few sheets of paper ? The stuff is pretty rude in their billing and records office. Every time I call to get an appointment with a my Primae care doctor they try to book me with a random nurse so they can bill the doctor's rate to the insurance company and keep the difference in doctors and nurse rate. I am going to get rid of them and go to other place to get medical help.

Joe

Do not bring any of your loved ones especially with any signs of covid I heard they are now holding an older lady against her kids will and will not give her the right treatment for covid . How s that 52,000 to intubate people . How do some of you doctors sleep at night

Denise Lewis

I arrived by ambulance and was treated with respect and compassion. The nurses explained clearly what to expect. Was transferred to the 7th floor where EVERYONE there was wonderful. The nurses, nursing assistants, transport staff, the techs in ultrasound and MRI made sure I understood everything. When I needed something they promptly took care of it. Thank you all.

Should be a zero. Dr Mouchantaf was arrogant and passive. Wouldn't answer questions and was disconnected from the process. Nurses were great, Dr was terrible. Immediately improved after we forced the transfer to MGH. Was doom and gloom there. Positive here. Spent 5 minutes with a diabetic specialist the first hour at MGH, countless time with his dr and team at MGH. Less than5 minutes with dr Mouchantaf over 3 plus days. Shameful and borderline neglect.

CHECK YOUR BILLS FOR ACCURACY!! This review is for people who pay for private medical insurance and have a high deductible like myself. Even though you have to pay out of pocket until you meet your deductible, you should still be getting the contracted rate for services (i.e. a discount off Lahey's regular fees). Also, be aware of extra charges. Make sure those charges were submitted to the medical insurance carrier. You should also get a copy of charges from your medical carrier to compare against your billing statement from Lahey. I was charged the regular fees initially. The billing office was good about making the adjustment once I brought it to their attention. 5 stars to the clinical staff at acute care.

Hugh Jass

Great employees slogging away in a soulless chart factory. Unless you’re standing in front of someone waving your arms you’d might as well not exist. Communication within and between departments is horrendous, with things constantly slipping through the cracks. Which is lousy because the staff is super helpful when you’re there for an appointment, but otherwise it’s really inefficient and impersonal - stay away if you can.

My wife broke her wrist in Florida and was told it was a compound fracture and needed surgery. Since we were flying to Boston that evening, we looked for a second opinion in the area. Dr. Kasparyan agreed to see my wife on short notice. Both the doctor and his staff were superb! We are tremendously grateful to all involved at Lahey for their courtesy and professionality. They saved my wife from unnessary surgery, risk and pain, when all that was needed was a cast.

The hospital it self it's awesome. But their emergency room sucks. I went there with bronchitis and dizziness, they made me wait 3 hours before I got to even see a nurse and she wasn't even professional. After seeing her it took another 30 minutes before I got a breathing treatment. And another 3 hours to see the doctor. Lets just say that will never go back to that emergency room.

I am under the watch of several departments. We actually moved from CT to be closer to our kids and to have better health care for me. I have been battling MS for 20+ years. My body is broken. The staff at Lahey has given me hope! Something that was taken from me in Connecticut! Thank you. Mary Conran Smith

EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional staff. Never had an issue EVER at any hospital. This was my first and LAST time here and I actually walked out. I'd NEVER recommend this place period.

Never been here, but called to ask if Dr. Judith Feldman was still practicing here, and the operator said no she isn't and when I went to speak she rudely and abruptly hung up the phone. Terrible customer service and wish I got the woman's name.

A family member got admitted to Lahey in Burlington and I received a phone call that he had COVID-19. Since I saw him the week before, I got nervous and called a few people that were recently near him. Come to find out he did not have the virus but do you think someone could have called me? I was told they were giving him another test and even after I called asking for results, I was told someone would call me back. Never happened. Then he got transferred to another facility and again, no one called to let me know (I’m his health care proxy). I called to find out more info and was promised a call back from a manager. Still waiting. Poor communication. I could go on with bad stories from over the years but this is the most recent. Unfortunately I do not have a say where he is admitted because this hospital would not be a choice.

Went to ER with an infection in my right thumb. I walked in & explained my situation, With in a few min. I was told someone would see me. I did not have time to sit & I was already called in, the super nice nurse checked me in & told me to have a seat. I just sat for about 5 min. and was called in & put in a room. A nurse took my info, looked at my thumb and said a doctor will see you soon. Couple of min. later Dr. Lovell looked at my thumb said infected will have to drain. Few min. later cut drained & bandaged. There aren't enough stars to put to show how great i was treated. ******************************************************* Thank you all to the nurses & doctor that took care of me.

Tried to make an appointment with the orthopedics department for my 86-year old mother-in-law, based on the recommendation from Wilmington Urgent Care. Over 20 minutes on the phone with a representative. I had to explain the reason for the appointment at least six times. Representative told me that they needed at least two weeks to review the x-ray and "get to know her" before i could set up an appointment. Seven minutes on hold while he spoke with a "secretary", when I objected. Came back to the call and then disconnected me. Suffice it to say she won't be going to Lahey Clinic. Too bad they merged with Winchester Hospital. Hope they don't take them down as well.

If you have a serious issue I would go to one of the top hospitals in Boston. Everything from the long traffic lights and check in times in the morning, to the staff here, all just make for an so-so experience. It's not bad for something routine but definitely not a top option.

Nicholas Robinson

Best experience I could ask for in the er and they’re so good at making you comfortable no matter how uncomfortable you may be !

They saved my life , great hospital. I met some genuinely caring people.

The call operators really need some better training or else someone more qualified. They must not talk and hang up like street punks! I’m not saying lack of professionalism, rather they lack some ‘common sense’.

Ok I was in Lahey twice. The fist time I had meningitis was in a coma the icu was fantastic when I was transferred to a room it was a cavalcade of errors the nurses were mean and incompetent the second time I was there was for COVID I know the nurses were overwhelmed because they made a point of telling me that every day the ER is amazing great doctors but once I was transferred to a room the I had Dr Kanye he was mean to me and the nurses I must say the worst teaching hospital in the country I was miss treated wrongly diagnosed so my prognosis was so dismal I chose hospice the. Communication between staff was so poor a muse could not understand why I was talking about dying as u can see I am alive thanks to a doctor at Tuffts a reputable teaching hospital further more Dr Kanye should not be around people never mind patients . I woke up from being in an induced coma with a loss of 35 lbs loss of all muscle mass and totally confused and was left to sit in my own filth for enough time to develop sores all on my backside everyone I know wants my to make theses people accountable for such deplorable treatment . In short I would not go to lahey for a hangnail

You'd have better health care in a poverty stricken 3rd world country.....and those countries dirt floors would be cleaner....understaffed....and don't take their jobs seriously.....

David Vercellone

Staff was great the changing rooms were dirty and bugs crawling on the walls

K Harrington

Dr. Syed Quadri, Dixie Patterson PA, 4-East nursing staff, Dana RN from oncology infusion center and Dr. Furha Cossor all great providers. No complaints here, emergency surgery x2 to save my life. Recommend Lahey to all!

Fritz Maddrell

Put on hold for almost 5hrs

Laura Landry

Bedside manner for family is inconsiderate. They dont care about whether the patient is scared and needs their family.

My husband had been in surgery much longer than expected. I called to check on him - an incredibly rude receptionist connecting to patient information told me line was busy and that I couldn’t hold, and HUNG UP.

Well, let's put it this way...I recently reported three of their hospitalists to the state. If there was a choice of 'zero stars', I would have chosen that.
