Needed glasses ASAP and they provided an amazing service. Both the optician and the follow up with the selection, fitting and purchase of glasses.. and receiving them within an hour of ordering.. some places can take a week.. they can do it in an hour. Thank you!

Will not return. I brought a brand new pair of glasses which I just purchased from them in for a minor repair before COVID lockdown and did not pick them up before the COVID lockdown. When lock down was lifted I contacted them and the receptionist was not very pleasant or understanding and I was told they simply "can't find them..." No attempt to compensate me for them losing them. My family will be shopping elsewhere for eye glasses in the future.

I am new to Sudbury and recently had a blood clot to my brain causing vision loss, I contacted Gagnon optician and was referred to DR. ROY for a an eye exam, Upon the completion of the exam I was booked for an appointment to get new eyeglasses. The young Lady who initially did my appointment was excellent. I was advised it would be ready the next day. I've called back and put on hold for 10 minutes and then the line went dead, I figured they had my name and would call me back, well 4 days later I am still waiting for a call back and still waiting for my new eyeglasses. Today is Saturday June 5th. It is now Monday June 7th app. 10:15am I have yet to receive a call back, so.i called.back and since my eyeglasses are not ready I left a message and canceled my eyeglasses.

Really overcharges for their contacts. Tells you it's illegal to order your contacts from an online retailer. Fine. I won't order them online. But then when you ask for your contact prescription so you can price them out at other places (which I paid them to take so it's not like I had them do it for free with the expectation that I would ONLY ever get my contacts from them), they refuse to allow you to have it. Which guess what? You guessed it. Is illegal. They have a legal requirement to allow any patient to see their health file when requested, and that prescription is part of your health file. Not impressed. I was going to buy my contacts from them this time and consider looking elsewhere later on, but forget it. Not even going to do that (That's okay - can't anyway because he wouldn't allow me to. Even before this whole thing started. In fact, this is what started it in the first place. But told me to call later on next week to order them with them over the phone.) Woweeeee.

Visiting here over the last few years has always been a positive experience. Friendly and competent is how I would describe the staff. I have never been pushed to by a brand name that is above my budget, and returns for adjustment are always handling cheerfully and quickly.

I had a great experience. I've been to several stores over the last few years trying to get glasses so that I wouldn't see blue/yellow light around everything (eventually found out it's called chromatic aberration). This was the first place that understood the problem I was trying to explain and suggested a better lens material since my prescription was so strong. The glasses were ready the next day and finally I'm not seeing blue/yellow around everything. Plus, when my glasses were ready they made sure everything fit well. I'll definitely go back.

I went through 5 pairs in less than two years. I can't believe it! I'm very conscientious when it comes to taking care of my stuff. It's gotten out of hand! Dr Roy is terrible! Six months later I needed another test from another doctor.

Please get a new commercial. You charge a way too much compared to other optometrist. Tired of your commercial. Especially "we've got your back" I've been there and have gone elsewhere.

I’ll have to agree with all of the negative reviews on this place, I can confirm that they are all accurate. Glasses taking 30+days to come in, over priced compared to other optometrists, you don’t get to pick out the glasses that you want your self even though your spending hundreds, over the top rude staff gang members (not all staff) the girl who helped me pick out my glasses was an absolute gem! And I think Dr. Roy’s just getting to old to be doing this anymore..

They won’t let you pick glasses. If I’m spending hundreds of dollars on something I’m wearing on my face everyday, I should be able to choose what they look like. Every other lens store lets you look at their inventory, they just clean the glasses after. Overpriced and overrated.

Just a few minutes left before closing, my son was able to bring my glasses In to be repaired. He encountered a young lady about to leave,told her why he was there, she took the glasses and asked him to wait In his car. A few minutes later, she came out with the repaired product. NOW, THAT IS GREAT SERVICE. thank you so much.
