As you know, we don't usually bother to give opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Optics Shop is included in the category of Warehouse store.
Everyone loves Costco but it's just a matter of planning what you NEED, otherwise you need a Brinks truck in tow at the cash till.
Great prices, fast and friendly service always with a smile. Great staff, courteous, knowledgeable. It's always great shopping here, one of the best Costco warehouses in Ontario!! Keep up the great work guys!
It's a good place to buy things in bulk or higher quantities. Some of the things available here at good prices are dry fruits, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, olive oil, rice, eggs, milk, clothes, protein suppliments, clothes and electronic items. Has a good number of parking spots available. Costco Gas station is available nearby. It's generally more crowded than other stores.
It was crazy busy the day we went. Total zoo. I didnt like how everyone ends up bunched up at the checkout.
Costcos are pretty much the same everywhere. Good quality products at good prices. Parking at this location is decent. I don't usually have an issue even at the most peak hours on the weekend. Lineup to pay is reasonable as well. Not too long and they're organized compared to others. The wait for gas at the station on the other hand can be long. Eye glass Centre has very reasonable prices but the service is rather poor at times. Otherwise I can't complain. I love costco
I thought I’ve mastered watermelon picking but unfortunately … love the Costco still! <3
Costco is already great, but I went to get my winter tires put on, and the service was fantastic. I dropped my car off early, and they finished it early. All summer tires were bagged and put in my vehicle without damaging anything, and all extra lug nuts were put in a separate bag for me. I will be using their services again in the future.
Went to Costco for the first time today for lunch, for $11 we got chicken fingers and fries and a huge poutine. The line was long but it goes super quick, enjoyed everything about the food, plus $.75 sodas you can’t go wrong! Highly recommend if you’re looking to eat some delicious junk food!
This location is the best of all Costco and is close to my house , and this store offers great products with very cheap price love it.
I’m giving my 5 stars to one team Member at this location who always shines! He is helpful and puts the customer 1st thank you Kurt A!
Busy Costco location but employees are very friendly and helpful. It's clean. They provide customers with masks if you don't have one. Sanitize carts. Overall it's a great place to shop.
One of the better Costco's accessible to the folks who live in Downtown Toronto. The wait can get long at the cashier's during holidays, but the staff always move things quickly. More often than not I find staff helping people reload the carts at the checkout. I find this location better organized than the ones at Brampton and Mississauga. Parking lot is way bigger than the one in Brampton and this location also has a gas bar.
They don't take Visa... Ridiculous
Great quality and prices... parking space is big... regarding prices not everything is cheaper than the other chains... for example, for eggs, milk and some bakeries, it is as expensive as in other places or slightly more... but for example for oranges, roasted chicken and sausages and cheese its much more convenient, wider range and better prices... in short its a great place but not necessarily the cheapest for everything. You need to be selective and wise.
I waited over 1 hr to return an item today. Only one employee working. She Stayed with one guy for over 30 min. Not cool. And after 1he and 12 min of waiting, you must go inline to go to the store for 30 min more. .. Very frustrated.
How do you write a review of a Costco? All I can tell you is this location has some stars. I can think of two people in particular who just seem to want to help make your experience at Costco easier. Some people just want a paycheck. But, here, I don't get that impression. I already did my Costco run this week..but, I want to go back just to run into these employees. I can honestly say that when I leave there, I feel better than when I walk in. Every time! ????
Not a bad place have lots of items to pick from pretty decent prices and fairly good quality items
A bit of a line up to get in. Hood selection and prices. Fast checkout Try to go at a time when it is not too crowded and you'll be fine. Google has stats for that
My go to Costco! Love it here...never had any issues with customer service, everything is always quite organized (before customers throw things everywhere) I’ve been to other Costco’s and they just don’t feel the same!
If you need one stop shopping, this is the place to go. A gas bar will give you a discounted fill up by 6-10 cents per litre
Great location with Costco gas station
This location has staff that will go out of their way to help you save the most money on your membership. I also found filling my ink cartridges to be fast and easy. Their selection of products is typically very good. I once cut myself at their store by tripping over myself, and landing on my keys. The staff went out of their way to assist me and give me an alcohol wipe and bandaid for my minor cut.
I purchaced a pack of bonless lamb leg last week (early Oct.) from Costco at Calgary trail, edmonton. Here is what I got after I opened the pack; way too much fat than I was expecting to get; over one-thirsd of the pack was just fat! So disappointed!
I've been in many Costco branches. It's not fair to say rude, but the in store managers at this branch are the least friendly amongst the other places I have visited. Costco is still one of the greatest places to shop at.
It was busy...ugh...and there was no helper/packer at checkout so it took longer
It has good customer service, a sandwitch to die for and of course some unusual items that only Costco carries. Portions are big so shopping twice a year will suffice. Oh and their bbq chicken is too greasy and unhealthy looking..
Peavey mart is a place where you can get a little bit of everything. From tools to work wear, barbecue, patio, cooking and canning and farm supply. The staff is helpful and friendly. It is the full on general store. The smoker pellet deal cannot be beat
Popular location - high volume turnover of goods. Gas station has line ups constantly. Arrive early for a parking spot.
Not too busy on a Sunday morning. Would be 5 stars except for the lack of bicycle parking and Canadian produce.
I love Costco! Great prices on tires, lots of interesting stuff to buy. My only gripe is there isn’t enough parking. If you go at exactly 5pm the traffic there is pretty light!
Got here as the doors opened, still packed, bought a box spring, price couldnt be beat. However their trolleys are too small to actually move some of the bigger items, beyond that quick simple and good price.
Me: Gives 4 stars Costco: I’m sorry you felt that way. Have some cash back to all the amazing products we stock for damn good price, some cheap gas and oh why not just pig out from our super delish super value wings and hot dogs Me: [guilt trip retraction]
Typical crazy costconess but overall the service is amazing always clean and have done a great job during covid
Went to get my hearing aids fixed, ended up shopping! Bought several items for xmas presents. Went through selfcheck, no line up & fast through for the few items I had.
No good Banana. There is enough Carts. Less crowded compare to other Costco. Need more pump for gas. Big parking. Need wider road to go out to the store.
I found everything that I was looking for. The prices were below average and they were very reasonable. The aisles were full of stock and not overly crowded. I would recommend this store for everyday shopping and for that special occasion.. something here for everyone on your list.
You need a membership to shop from here. Most grocery and produce items are sold in packages/big portions.
There is one guy that has been there since 2009 he's so fast , helpful, and always pleasant. They offer good quality products at huge savings. Any Kirkland store brands I've tried have been delicious. We recently switched our prescriptions over to Costco from Safeway and saved a lot of money.
Big and busy. The location is great but the side road leading into this Costco can be super busy with the parking lot packed and it’s gas station having a blitz. Decent selection and decent upkeep too.
I get my gas there all the time
Went here to get some prices for prescription glasses. Went mid-morning/early afternoon, wasn't busy, usual amount of people for the time of day. No long line ups like other Costco locations in the city, mind you the time of day I stated above. Service at the optical centre was friendly and efficient. Even though I choose to my frames elsewhere, I would give Costco's optical centre a look due to the good service I received. All policies, frames, lens were explained to me in detail, and left as a satisfied customer. Membership service was quick, waited in line for about 5 minutes. Lady at the counter changed my membership and answered all my questions regarding the switch. Probably one of the best Costco's to visit during low customer traffic time. Would visit again, if in the area.
Service: - wholesale: decent, long lines on the weekends and evenings, they are trying to be as efficient as possible. I once purchased ear phones and had to pick them up at the locked room, the ladies their were having a personal conversation and did not stop their conversation to serve me or acknowledge me. - tire service: we were quoted 2 hrs for our Jeep Wrangler. We dropped the car off 20 mins early for our appointment. We returned 2 hrs later, they said they weren’t done yet and that our model of Jeep was more difficult to change. They said it would take another hour. We asked why weren’t notified, they said they called twice with no answer. Our phone had no missed calls. We left and waited, 1 hr later still no call. We came back to pick up the car 15 mins before closing. I asked if they had the correct phone number on file because we never received a call, the guy said because it’s a 289 area code number, he is unable to dial out and call us. So riddle me this: 1. Why did you say that you called us 2 times earlier without answer, if you’re not able to use the 289 number? 2. Why weren’t we notified of this when we first came in, so we could switch the number to our 647 number? 3. How did a 2 hr job, turn into a 4 hr job? It was a huge inconvenience, and we felt that our time (our only day off) was not valued. Very disappointed.
Well laid out. And great selection.
You can be sure that everything that you buy from Costco has a great quality. Specially fruits and vegetables. If you are buying for a household, don't go anywhere else for your grocery and meet products
Costco has been great to me for the last decade. They always have great products to choose from. Today was nothing out of the ordinary other than just returning a product that was on the Canadian recall announcement.
Tend to find most of the things we need here. No long line ups if you come after 6pm
It’s consistent with other Costco’s but I found some of the products I get at Costco in southern Ontario were not available. No bocconcini cheese or unpasteurized honey. Tons of parking though, that’s great!
Great place for special buys!
Huge place with everything you need for living. Since everything inside there is so big, it's impossible to steal anything (not like I'm trying to)
Huge lines now that this virus has taken over our lives. Still costco has been providing wonderful service and quality. Thank you for coming through Costco. Thank you to all the hard working staff who are working through these difficult times.
Love coming here! They have everything and more!
Average store, stuff I need/want always in stock. This location is always packed and feels busier to me than other locations in town. Friendly staff. I HIGHLY recommend vising the cell phone booth if you are shopping for a new phone. The two guys that I see working here all the time are rock stars! They went above and beyond by expectations when I was "just browsing and didnt' even think i wanted/needed a new phone. These boys hooked me up! Got a newer phone for no cost and they even recommended a better plan with more data! Super impressed.
Like any other Costcos' it has a lot of selections and parking. Best thing about this location is that it has a Gas Bar as well. Cheap gas with top tier grades. Waiting time is usually 5 minutes but you save over $10+ in gas. Love it!
Great place if you have a big family
Costco it was a nice visit and although it was busy as it always is the lines moved super fast.
Well worth the membership for me as I buy most of my food staples there. It is almost always busy so I stock up to reduce the number of trips.
It's expensive for a membership but they have such great quality items. It is certainly not cheaper then at Walmart. The only staples they sell that are always a better price are toilet paper, bottled water, roast chicken, cat litter, naan bread, muffins and some of the frozen foods, like motza sticks, egg rolls. Meat is a very good quality, but its is expensive and you must buy very large packs. They also do great tasting slab cakes which they will custom decorate. I have seen people get them for weddings.
That was first and last visit to this branch.Iam a Ioyal Costco customer since 10 years and visit it at lest once a week to buy all family needs and gifts, glasses and more. Always greeted at the front door and great experience while shopping and ending with small chat with a cashier. This time no greeting (the shop was not crazy busy just normal morning) to get to the fruit area you need to wait in Aline with an employee with attitude. To finish it the cashier who didn't even bother to tell me my card was upside just making moves with his hands and between the masks the plastic shield and the cashier lost of any eye contacts to understand him while he was busy talking to his female colleague. I would rather to spend my hard earning money in other welcoming places. Costco is a huge company known for great customer services and experience and in these difficult times we try to shop and help as much as we could but when you are faced with uncaring, unwelcoming while places other great shops fighting to survive I would rather to go there. Performance quality needed to ensure the workers understand the importance of quality service the Costco customers expecting and paying for. We are all working and overwhelmed with these unprecedented times still doing the best we can do.
Every Costco is super busy, which is normal. But they recently changed the gas station and now the new parking lot layout makes the gas lines VERY intrusive. Other than that though everything is great. Costco always has an interesting selection and even though the layout can be confusing sometimes, you get used to it after a few trips! Keep up the good work! :)
One of the best & friendliest customer services compare to other costco. However, time to time they run out of their sale items. Also the layout of the place is confusing (outdated) and parking lot is hectic compared to other costco.
Reminds me of Costco 25 years ago when they used to interrogate you at the front door.
I honestly would never go to Costco if it weren't for the good deals. Already, I get pretty flustered in there with all the people; with COVID it is even worse. Still too many people in the store at once (to allow for good distancing), not enough enforcement of wearing masks properly, and some staff even pulled down their masks when speaking to me. But, it's Costco, and it'll get you what you need.
Who doesn't love Costco??? Of course sometimes the odd staff can be a little run down but overall everyone is friendly and accommodating. We love getting freshly roasted chickens from the rotisserie and also it never hurts to grab a quick hot dog on the way out (guilty!). But in addition they carry the best products and they have the best return policy, oh yeah and the cheapest gas! Couldn't live without it!
Usually love Costco, unfortunately this one always seems to have an iffy selection and some rude employees. Most are fine, but the few really ruin my shopping experience at this location. Seeing as it's my closest location, I may just cancel my membership as I don't go here often and the other locations are too far out of the way
Good place to go shopping, I am a lot of different goods with very low prices, you need to have your card xa purchase that is obtained in just a few minutes at the entrance, the card is paid, it is a big ass, but the worthy workers do their professionally part of their work, pleasant shopping. !
It reads the Costco in Toronto on top but it's the Barrie one that deserves all the credit!! The Toronto one isn't looked after, staff is never available for help. Don't try to contact them you won't get through EVER on there phone lines. Costco Barrie is by far the best Costco. Great staff at the gas bar. Staff is always friendly and helpful. All around the Barrie Costco is the best one yet!!! Thanks to all the staff for doing such a great job. If you can't get to Barrie go to the west end one of Dundas. That's a great Costco as well.
They do such a Terrible job of managing the lines there. People wait 30-45 minutes while other people are cutting in front. It’s one of the worst customer experiences and has us reconsidering our membership.
Staff is friendly and efficient. I found that I usually dread shopping here because of the pushy customers and the long lines, but I was able to get gas with no line and actually felt that I was done shopping with ease. Pinch me! I think the prices have gone up again though. 13.99 for my favourite Gyuere cheese :( Make sure you check your prices though. Buying in bulk doesnt mean it's a good price.
The selection of meat and cheese is impressive, but the quantities are too much if you're only 2 people. There's little to no vegetarian alternatives in the frozen section, so if you don't eat meat it's not the best grocery. The household …
Got these cute shorts from the youth boys section lol
The staff is always content and courteous. The store has a constantly changing variety of products at fair, wholesale prices. The isles are large and well layed out. Also the tire services that are provided are extremely well done and comparatively priced. The location is very busy but well worth the traffic.
We have been shopping at Queensway Costco for years. We are very loyal because of savings on gas and other bulk items Love their 100% satisfaction return policy. Will keep our membership. Well worth it!
Yes... Get all the stuff you need.. love that Costco.
Good , a touch on the crowded side for me Nice to actually shop in person though
Need to shop off season for beat deals.. example buy swimsuits in winter for summer ..
Actually if I have choice, I won’t give one star On 30th November I want to gas station, and one of employees from Costco hit my car by accident, one of manager tell me, Costco gonna pay for everything, they will take care everything, I want to auto repair, get quote and the manager tell me, they accept the quote, so I repair my car, pay everything, including car rental, and I send them all invoices, all I have is a email tell me they send everything to the Costco insurance company, they will keep me updated, that email sending by 6 December, after that I haven’t received any updates from them, even I send email again, No reply!!!! And I want to the office yesterday, they said they will call insurance company, and call me today tell me updates, and again!!! Nothing!!! Is ridiculous to been a international company, and handled everything like this, I pay for over $1000 for everything, just because that stupid accident, and I can’t get my money back after almost three weeks!
Costco continues to impress me with the friendliness and professionalism of it's operation and employees. I finished using the self check out today and was doing the bathroom salsa from drinking to much coffee. I asked the cashier/attendant if she would mind watching my cart after I loaded it, while I went to the porcelain room. She told me not to bother loading it, she would do that for me, just go. I thanked her, and ran to the men's room. If I could give Costco SEVENTEEN stars I would! Outstanding. 9-11 was an inside job...
Typical Costco pretty busy at peek shopping hours
man they got it all here - gas, fridge magnets, meat, floor tiles, TVs, horseradish. Only thing they DON'T have is a way to make my wife take me back
Good place for shopping that meet your budget very helpful staff ????
Its a standard Costco that's always busy. Lots of stock, some great deals (some not - you have to do research to ensure you're getting a good deal). My one observation is that the staff I've interacted with don't seem to be very friendly here. There is chaos around customer service with no apparent order for queuing up, checkout staff don't really say much other than demanding your membership card without even saying hello, and you're rushed through checkout like the place is burning down. I may start using their delivery service. Bonus: you won't be run over by the other shoppers and their giant carts as they cut you off for free samples.
A fun place to visit every once in a while. You need to have a membership (paid annually) and gain access to special prices and access to the warehouse like stores.there are several locations across the GTA. They almost always have different products to taste for free. Today i saw an oilio on bread snd a little dispenser of cheddar chips. Large pharmacy and hearing aid area, electronics hit you in the face upon entry. A lot of other items come in supersize portions.. They check for membership cards upon entry and do a quickscan of the trolley with an eyeball on your receipt to ensure nothing got missed.
Pleasantly surprised with this location. This store is more organized than others I have visited and the staff are streamline in serving their customers. With the amount of chaos that comes with an ordinary Costco, this store does very well at moving customers through quicker.
Pretty quick tonight, no lineups but the gas price went up in the middle of the day!
This store was quick to move the covid compliance line up fast but they weren't quick to tell you about the outbreak in staff as I heard from workers talking the maybe shut down Sunday but the company was negotiating with govt.your typical store pay to go in and pay to leave ...lol. These stores are for some and not for others especially with all the price hikes on their staple products, sooner than later they will price some out,and the price of fuel you mabe best to shop in the local market.
Amazing store and great location ????
Its ok as long as people follow the social distancing, wearing a mask, and using a sanitizer. Here you can find more merchandize and more items which you cannot find it in other such as Costco Wholesale Inc. at 100 Billy Bishop Way, North York, ON M3K2C8. The price is same here as compared to other Costco Wholesale Inc.
It's hard to put less than 4 stars. Great place to shop but the stuff they sell is rejects that fail tests and Costco picks them up and sells them. Wear out early, plastic coating on stuff deteriorate fast, improperly sewn stuff, faulty electrical stuff. It's basically rejected sale items. The reason I give 4 stars is the return policy. Staff there are ok
Cashier named Lahib was Ill-mannered, impolite and rude to me and my family while checking out. We showed her the membership code digitally to which she started murmuring, "I don't even know if that membership belongs to you", after which we showed her the membership card to prove that we own a Costco membership, she didn't have the basic decency to apologize for assuming we didn't own a membership, on top of that her attitude was extremely racist and hostile!!!
Great store, love Costco, samples are always amazing!
The concept of "don't go shopping on an empty stomach" does not apply to Costco. I like to do a full lap, scan the perimeter and approach the samples strategically. The place can be a bit chaotic. Pushing a jumbo shopping cart around requires quick thinking and reflexes. If you see a gap, you take it. Perhaps they would consider a traffic system? Yield signs, red/green lights, stop signs, etc. You could make it like little city!
One of the few which has a gas station too. You don't need to go anywhere else. I have used almost all the services they have. Since it is an old location it is not as big as some of the newer Costcos.
Typical day for Costco. Had most of the things I wanted. Line up for cash was not to bad. Bit confusing about whether we are allowed to unload. Apparently now you can with a divider.
You gotta love the deals here
Packed to brim and no particular covid-19 restrictions except masks. But hey costco is costco and has most of the stuff. Only thing i would say is watch out for the frozen shrimp they gave me food poisoning. Rest all is good. P.S chicken wings are delicious.
Great place to buy everything at one place. Of course might not worth it for small families since product packaging is mostly bigger. Deals on electronics cannot be matched plus you get 2 years of Costco warranty on most products.
It's costco. Wholesaleish prices. Clothing department tends to be a lot more clean than other locations, gas station is run well, probably least hostile parking in Toronto. Friendly staff.
Friendly staff and found a pair of pants (the style) I've been looking for for several weeks. Got our memberships quickly and started shopping!!!
Who doesn’t love Costco? Love the roasted Chicken
I was shopping with my homestay mum and brought masks for myself and gifts for my family. Costco is always surprising me with various items. I brought 2 chocolate baskets, 2 blueberry chocolate, 1 big box of nuts, 2 boxes of masks and 1 box of shortbread cookies. They are not expensive!!!! This is amazing!!! I really love Costco because of the lower price but good quality :)
I didn't visit this Costco but I had been to one in the West end. I refused to pay money to a membership in order to shop in a place. It's my money that I work hard for. Imagine the millions that Costco makes yes in memberships but also I'm pridictis that you buy. I feel they treat their customers like criminals when they walk in and when they leave. If you don't show a membership walking in they will chase you like you stole something. That was my experience at Costco the first time I walked in. No I will not allow to be treated like that.
The location is a nightmare for parking and the checkout lines are constantly super long. The pharmacy here makes you wait 45 minutes when there's literally no one else waiting for medication, just because they want you to walk around and buy stuff. They make you wait in line just to leave the store and you pay to get in. No visa, only mastercard.
I rate this store with five stars because I had never had a bad experience in this store to this point. The staff are always accommodating to me as a person with a disability and my service dog named Nefertiti. I'm given accommodations, especially, when the store is very crowded . Nefertiti and I have been going to thstore weekly, so the staff knows us by name and some of the staff knows that I have ataxia and is willing to assist me while in the store .This is important that we are treated as individuals and not just for a dollar sign. Pertinently, the staff have a vast knowledge- base about service dogs in their store and the guidelines that have to apply. I used to shop once per month but now I am shopping 4 times per week because I feel comfortable with the staff. Also Nefertiti loves seen them too even though , they can't pet her. Nevertheless , she is just has happy to see the staff at this Costco wholesale.
This costco always have what I need and even sometimes things that I did not even know I needed. I found the customer service to be just okay. But i will note that the customer service i receive at my local Costco, Billy Bishop, is superb, so I may just be spoiled in that regard.
If you shop for a family, this is the place to go. Hi quality merchandise at the best prices you will ever find in store and gas bar. Plus, they have a cash back program and great return policy.
As always happy ???? to shop there
Customer service is pretty slow.
Favorite Costco location... Jamila and Joanne are one of the best associates we always have. They are always friendly and accommodating... I gave 4 stars just because some of their supervisor/managers are not approachable and not friendly.
Enjoy the awesome quality products but wish the closest Costco wasn't 2.5 hrs away. Love the organic section especially!
Love it. I always go to costco first and buy all that I need and then go to other stores for the things they don't carry. Just be careful you will be tempted to buy more than you will actually need and so.muxh might go yo waste especially bulk food
Bustling location; however, the lines move fast during checkout
Great location, but the gas station is always busy which is a down fall. But the food is great lots of selection and the wait time is not bad compared to other costco location.
Like the prices and quality of goods! Gasoline prices are excellent!
Very nice and clean, good service and great value, gas pumps are very easy to use.
What can I say? It is Costco after all. It is the kind of place you enter to buy a few necessities and come out wondering how could you have spent 300 dollars in "groceries". I love the Kirkland products and their produce. The only thing I dislike about the place is how busy it gets on weekends. I recommend going at the end of the day, close to its closing time. It is not as chaotic and people seem to be less stressed. I can't count the amount of times I felt like cattle while shopping on weekends. It is people pushing people and it is packed!
Very nice place. Pretty close to downtown Toronto.
Little difficult to get in/out of but friendly staff and good stock of product
Good shopping experience. Good prices on home goods and contents.
Andrea and the front store manager Mir were both absolutely amazing to deal with! Customer service at its prime, this is why I'll continuously shop at Costco and both of these members of staff deserve some sort of bonus and should be the gold standard of customer service!
I go there because there are alot of different products available and the clothes are well made. I only buy my dish towels and dish cloths there as they are the best. Buying propane is the cheapest around also.
This place is pretty good. I mostly go here for fuel, but also shop here from time to time. Due to its location it is usually way too crowded for my liking and the wait at the tills can be long because of it. When shopping at Costco I usually prefer the stores on the outlying locations around the city cus they are not as crowded.
Costco during the stay-at-home order. Only the essential items and food isles are open, all others are closed. Returns are open for essential items only. Tire center remains operational.
This location is always busy. Some of the staff are rude. Once I had requested if I can get help putting a heavy item in my car and the guy said no. Other than that, it’s got your typical Costco items. They’ve got really good and cheap cheese.
Unlike other Costco locations, they don't fill BBQ tanks by weight and charge for a full tank regardless of how full your tank is when brought in. It also took close to 1/2 hour to get tank filled.
Went on a monday , it wasn't crowded. My wife ordered glasses from the optical department, the price was amazing. Topped off truck with gasoline, great gasoline prices too .
Who doesn't like Costco. I'm a bit upset, they quit selling Cigarettes to the Public. But still sell Liquor. I don't understand the logic behind the decision. But oh well.
Gas and Propane is a hell of a buy. Meat Quality is fantastic. Fruits and Veggies are fresh and much larger than at NoFrills. Kirkland brand is great. All in all a great store with exception of the crowds, rarely is not annoyingly busy!
I really appreciate that your open and serving customers however I went to get propane went to pay and when I went to hand him the receipt and tell him I don’t need it back it rudely said step back please that I did and then went to hand him the receipt and he said I need the clip just the clip. I did not touch the clothes pin from the start because they have not been sanitized so I handed him the receipt and wanted to say I don’t need it back and he rudely said again I just need the clip I wouldn’t touch it so he grabbed and walked away. I think it’s great they are being safe but customers should not have to touch the clothes pin either!! Again thank you for your great and essential services!!
My partner and I usually go to this Costco as it is closest to our home. We know lines will be long, but that part of the Costco experience... But, I’m writing this review because within the last couple months we’ve bought chicken thighs from Costco and there was bone fragments left in the chicken. The first time, didn’t think much of it. The second time this happened we decided we won’t be buying it again and went for chicken breasts. Now much to my disgust while eating a piece of chicken breast, I spit out something that felt like a rock. Pull it out of my chicken and it appeared to be FRAGMENTS OF TILE. I’m sorry, but this is unacceptable and will be the last time we buy chicken from this location. ????
Fast service and plenty of great deals weekly.
Staff and layout are standard. Not exceptional yet very good and effecient.
Everything is in bulk, cheap prices, and the service is great. They also have a very good selection of meat which is priced by weight. Ready to eat rotisserie chicken is there aswell and the food at the foodcourt is good.
I want to thank the honest person who turned in my wallet when I accidently left it there. I would also like to thank the employee who took her time to assist me. In my panic, I forgot to thank her. It goes to show that there are still honest people in this world, and I thank God for them.
Pretty good costco location. From the times I went in the morning, there seems to be pretty good parking spots all around. As with all costco locations, the selection is great and the prices are excellent. No complaints at all with this location!
Good clean store! They have great deals on everything you need
Great stuff at good prices. The photo lab is so much better then other places and the staff in it are very professional.
I was very much positively impressed after learning from a recent viral video that this warehouse's management DOES NOT put up with any flaunting of the safety restrictions needed during covid. Great job - and I mean that most sincerely.
Always a good time at costco. Originally went for half & half cream but also purchased a couple of paperbacks, some mixed nuts and a new daytime for the new year. Staff were friendly.
Great location, I dropped my wallet in the parking lot and they had it at the service desk within minutes. They even called me later that the wallet was found. Great staff, it’s not a location closest to us but I stop by since our Costco is smaller. Tons of selection and onsite gas station always moves quickly.
The store is well lit and large variety of products are available at the store. The store follows clear Covid guidelines and store employees are very helpful when looking for different products in the store. This is your go to store for bulky items. I love the self checkout as it makes it faster when checking out.
It's a Costco. A huge warehouse of wholesale goods. This location is usually clean and organized. The staff are nice and helpful. There is a gas station here and even though the lines are long during peak times, they typically move fast. Parking seems more problematic as it's always a mess unless you get there early.
Great prices and friendly staff for the most part. Never thought I'd see a Costco not have something. Will definitely make a return trip.
Costco has great quality and prices. For everything but not for furniture. If you want good qualit and great deals for home furnishings then check out Berkshire Furniture.
Helpful staff and the CDS product demonstrators are really friendly. The cashiers are efficient and the long lines for check out move quickly.
Great store if you can get there when it's not busy. Trying to return stuff is a pain though- long lines.
Aside from all of the Wonderful things Costco has provided for many many years and are a must purchase, on every trip. I am unable to wear a mask and today on our visit, the woman at the door, offered me a shield. I wear glasses and the first thing I noticed was that I couldn't see my reflection in it. Which is Awesome because that gives me a headache. So, off I went to have fun shopping and left without being dizzy and ending up with a pounding headache. This happened after my 20 minutes power shopping, because I was forced to wear the scarf I used last time. Its this sort of kindness that makes Costco worth the 2 hour trip now.
So busy but had good selection! Staff were really fast!
I never seen Costco before. We found here very reasonable price for the all items. We came to visit here with my son.
Very clean, great staff ... usually very busy at the check outs. Tire center seems well staffed and knowledgeable, food court busy and bit slow, maybe understaffed.
Absolutely excellent people, whoever does the hiring sure knows how to pick em. The store is well laid out, the shopping carts are maintained in good repair and purchases can be returned easily. This is a well run business.
Great service as always here. Although Costco does attract a clientele that doesn't mask very well. So caveat emptor. Would be helpful if they made some effort to advise customers to mask properly in the store or ask people to leave. Above the nose and below the chin.
Loved it as usual, clean , friendly and had everything I needed.
Everything else is great, but their rotisserie chicken quality has went down hill recently. Not sure what happened.
Love me some Costco… lines were super swift on this visit even with a fully stacked parking lot.
Well stocked and clean location, cashier was very friendly and I was able to find everything I was looking for !
One of the most unfriendliest place to do your groceries. The employees need to be trained for good customer service.
it's really busy in there but they are very efficient with check out so you don't have to wait long. There's even a line to get into the veg cooler room. Avoid going on weekends.
Always love experience. This one was the best. They had everything I was looking for and the lines to pay were short. Lots of foods sampling today. We also enjoy food at the food court and food was good and warm. Costco in Sherwood Park is the best. We will back to shop here again.
The best Costco's store in GTA.
Huge store. Costco is Costco. Not five stars as they do not have a self check out. Lines can be overwhelming at times.
When you need an abundance of anything Costcos the place to go.
Great service and friendly staff. Right now it is only one person per card membership. Restrictions are in place because of covid. Other than that it is a nice store with good service and highly recommend it. Well stocked and some good sales on food stuff.
LEVEL 10 ESTABLISHMENT GOVERNMENT, INTERNAL FILES, SECURITY, SECTOR 4, RED LOGO, BENEFITS, FOOD COURT, ECONOMY, PETROL, COSTCO WHOLESALE costco wholesale treats its employees well and i respect that. but the bottom line is that they are a level 10 establishment. you MUST trust this
just started shopping fresh produce here. wow what a positive difference it made to my diet and budget. it lasted a very long time. no mold! I'm amazed and will continue to shop here for lettuces, peppers and fruit.
The best place for food. Especially if you are a student. The sizes are perfect for meal prepping. Also you just find really cool items.
It’s Costco… why does this need a review?
Love to shop for my family parties and everyday essentials here at Costco. Hope they can have a lot of space for eating. As during busy days it's hard to find a spot for eating.
I strongly recommend the Costco photo for those who want to print out the pictures in huge numbers. Because the service is a quick and the price is reasonable. The quality of pictures is excellent.
Extremely busy, so have plenty of time when you go there. Be prepared for a pleasant experience with very helpful staff and one of the most completely stocked stores I've ever shopped in. Very fresh produce with a wide selection. Just great all around.
I have been going to this Costco location for years now. I can not think of any scenario or time I had negative feelings or a bad experience with. The employees are wonderful, nice, and great. Keep up the friendliness and hard work!
Good stuff, but most of time busy.
Probably the worst Costco in the city. Always very busy, with lesser parking than other Costcos, and only 1 exit road, which can create traffic jams with all the horribly entitled Costco drivers. They also don't seem to carry as much variety of stock as the other Costcos in the city do either. Fun upside though: The manager here looks like Gus Fring from 'Breaking Bad'
Very friendly, very helpful staff. Usually a great selection of produce and meat. My Executive membership has always paid for itself. Only drawback is the line ups can be a bit long and the free sample booths sometimes bottleneck the aisles and make it difficult to shop.
New to the Costco concept, I made the trek on Saturday morning and the chaos was unsettling. Left with just a few items. Headed back on a Tuesday morning and there were a tenth the people and I could shop relatively stress free. There are deals to be had, they won't always beat a No Frills sale price but the quality of items I have used is quite good so far. The checkout process is a little stressful as a bagger basically swarms you to scan and remove items from your cart. I am not used to this and it felt awkward. Also not a fan of the show your card going in and receipt going out. It just feels odd to me. But apart from those gripes, it's otherwise great on a weekday.
Great staff at this costco and they always have stock of everything I need !
Just like any other Costco, I guess it's really hard to go wrong with Costco.
The store was clean, well stocked and no large line ups at cash which was nice for a change.
My favourite Costco in the city. I usually go during the afternoons on weekdays and even during this time, at some Costcos (esp the one at Yorktech Blvd), it is still difficult to park; this Costco is usually pretty empty (for a Costco) with ample parking. Nice people. Can easily get my purchases and get out. Clean and tidy. No need to fight lineups or others in the aisles due to space and crowding. The gas pump is a HUGE bonus as it is never too busy and has reasonable waits.
Not a happy customer. We have 12 items and went to self check out and the worker says sorry you have too many items. There are no signs saying 10 item or less. To top it off there was no one using self check outs
Shopping was nice and great selection. Lines for til was long but moved fast.
Pretty good place to shop if you want to buy by bulk and I like their meat
Shopping is great... just not a fan of the cashier system...always sooo crammed.
Great deals, great atmosphere
The cashier is really rude, someone should train these rude people, zero customer service, if you don't like your job, change it, but don't be rude with people, I will cancel my membership with them
Friendly staff. You can find good deals time to time like any other costco. Washrooms are always clean.
I needed a few items and have been to this store in the past, so finding what I needed was easy. I was in and did my shopping and back to my vehicle in record time. The reason I'm writing about this is that I was in my local grocery store a few days ago and they had moved the produce around for some marketing reason. All that does is make me feel that I'm wasting my time looking for stuff. That everything was still at the same places they were the last time I was here made my shopping easier and faster.
Not very tidy and were sold out of a lot of stock that I made a special trip to Sudbury to purchase.
This place can get extremely busy so picking the right time to go is important. That being said it is a great store and don't forget they have a cell phone kiosk......I got a great deal there when I up graded my phone and gift to stay with the same cell provider.
The customer service people are fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend needed a mask and they supplied one for her. Always clean and well organized. Love this place and they sell Squishmallows!
At Costco Whalesale it is almos inposible finding products like furnitures devices cosmetics etc overpriced. Food is in big quantities with very good price. As a Whalesale store they offer a basic costumer service. During weeked is overpopulated and it is hard finding parking spot.
Very crowded in the weekend, no parking, long queue to get in, at the cashier and even when exiting the store. Lack of staff and unorganized
I'm absolutely appalled by the store n some of their staff.... I went in n it cost me $860 to go home with barley anything... Also one of the staff followed me around cuz I have small nose n mask kept …
Name another place you can get a hot dog and a pop for $1.50, I'll wait. Who doesn't like Costco? if you don't like Costco something's wrong with you. Costco is the best. The only negative is they want you to check yourself out now and I don't like that because I don't work there. Don't use automated checkouts people, it takes jobs away.
Busy Busy Busy. Don't usually enjoy grocery shopping, but there is no denying that this is a good place to go to meet your supply needs! It's hard to beat Costco for better ways to get lots of stuff for cheap prices. The staff work hard and are helpful; the crowds are the challenge. Shoppers are often pushy, rude and indifferent to everyone else; people have run into my wife with shopping carts several times while she was standing still, and my car was damaged while parked in the lot. Be prepared to be patient and pay attention to your surroundings!
Great place with so much product.
You know the place it's Costco what can I say try only to buy one cart full of stuff
Always busy and cash lines are poorly managed. They need some self checkout options like the Dixie and Dundas location in Mississauga.
It's always a treat going to Costco to see which new products they stock. And most of the time their prices can not be beaten.
This is located off Kingsway near Marcus Drive. I rank this location 2 out of 5 stars as they are severely short staffed. They are also non accommodating to those with mobility disabilities and were very rude about it. The store is also very dirty and disorganized. Their customer service throughout the store could also be greatly improved. However, the cashier seemed very friendly and it's cheaper to buy certain things here. Will not visit again and will do with the online costco pharmacy.
Great place to go if you want to shop in bulk prices are fair but it is a busy
I have been a member for about 10 months now shortly after into moving to west Toronto (this is funny because we lived in north Toronto close to the Downsview location and we never bothered to get one thinking we did not need it!). This …
Spent over 40 minutes trying to rectify a simple math error because the cashier did not initially remove the tax when presented with a status card. Although the error was fixed and I was reimbursed-Customer Service was not timely and all of this could’ve been avoided had the cashier did his job properly.
It is Saturday. You know there will be millions of people!!! Why is the inventory sitting on the upper shelves needing forklifts to bring down vs on the shelves where people can buy them???? and staff say " can't bring it down because it is crowded". Inventory management seems to be an issue at this location!!!! Even staff on the floor said "please complain to the management". They must be tired of telling frustrated customers "sorry".
The pharmacy is so incredibly inefficient. Lineups of biblical proportions. Rude staff. Terrible.
We were on line about fifteen minutes for come in. Keeping distance and everybody with mask. Everything was good !
Love the store but not keen on the new SELF CHECK OUT . I pay enough in membership fees and now I have to check myself out! Doesn't sit well .
Its a costco..same as the majority of them. Some days its ridiculously busy.. so I don't go those days/times to keep my sanity. Almost always have a positive experience with the cashiers as they have been really friendly and polite.
Tidy, organized Costco store. Shelves, coolers etc. were stocked, easily read price tags visible and products nicely displayed. Employees were friendly and helpful. We found everything we needed. A successful shopping experience today.
Is like going to a merchant that want to take your wallet and your cloth
Love this location. Lots of staff who have been there for a while; highly helpful. Has a gas bar. Best prices on propane in the GTA that I know of. Crazy busy in the weekends. Come early or over dinner.
I'm not the type to leave negative reviews but I've been to every Costco in the city and I can easily say that this one is the worst. I understand that every location gets busy but this location is in a whole different category of disorganization. Customer service is also bad. Go to another Costco if you can!
Best Costco in GTA, not as busy as the Mississauga ones. Staff is actually nice and helpful, selection is mostly specific to this location, but it is still plentiful. Lots of parking, includes a gas station, often, wait time to go inside is not that long. Adult men’s clothing selection wasn’t that great during my last visit. Enforcement of masks ????is not very good.
RUDE CASHIER ALERT!!!! If i have a choice i rather not give them a star. After covid, the cashier are more rude, especially the one in the food court counter, today the cashier makes us wait without even telling us she need to do something then make us wait in the front of counter while she’s doing something else that nots related to checking out any of our items, the guy who pack our stuff didn’t do well too, i already gave him a big box so we can put all our items together but he just stack our food in very unorganized way that leaves most of our item out. The cashiers in the food court counter are really RUDE, since they don’t have tables for dine in, we have to hold our food without any bag at all, my man asked politely if he can have a paper tray(more like a cover for a container) to hold the hotdogs and sauces, but the cashier just shove him that they dont gives those, i asked if they have a paper bag but the other cashier said that costco never gave bags for take out, she then tell us to just get small box from the piles of used boxes to hold our foods and drinks (those boxes are filthy and she wants us to put our food there what is shes thinking?????) and they didn’t close and wrap our food well that the chicken and fries almost fall out of its container....
This location was more crowded than my usual digs
Found everything I needed and the lineups at the registers weren't that bad. The stores chicken pot pie is really, really good . And the choices of in-store made meals are endless and are great quality. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to get a new membership!!
Great location and staff. Gas is always cheap and no lineups most of the time
Today, I was there an hour ago. Gasoline station was full. There are a lot of people inside costco but there is no line outside.
What more can you say.. Going into A Costco you know your going to leave with more then you wanted to buy. They have a good photo lab, it's a very busy location. Its very clean, very brightly lit. Fast getting cashed out. Even with long lines. I know they filmed a few movies inside this location. I always like going to Costco.
It is not always the best value, to many times out of stock... This outfit has years of trend data to follow customer habits... Christmas 2021... Best monitor, instock, great price... I was shocked:
Good store and location. One thing really pisses me off that they ask you for your membership card at the entry even if they do not sell anything at cash register without it specially if you are brown or black or something. I find some of the staff really racially biased.
It's always busy like any other Costco but very well stocked. I like this location a lot because it's easy to find things and the location of products makes sense to me.
Your typical Costco. Seems a bit smaller than others, but I always find everything I need. It's also less busy than other stores. Plenty of parking.
Love coming here for most of my household shopping and groceries.. Large quantities of items for great prices so this is one of my go to stores for many things :)
Was good - partial lockdown only food sections open. Busy but not much time waiting for the checkout.
I love shopping at Costco....not sure if this one is any better then other ones as is the only one i ever have went to.
LOVE the staff at this store !! The one gentleman who sounds like he’s from Texas, always wears a bow tie is a super helpful !!
My favourite place to do my grocery runs. Their freshly packed sausages are just fantastic. I'm loving the value and quality to be expected from this place.
A couple months back, my wife had a bad fall in their parking lot due to poor repair. The manager she talked to was a dismissive jerk, basically calling her out, and making innuendos that she was faking. Absolutely no care at all that my wife in her 60s had fallen, and hurt herself in the parking lot. Now I realize it is the mall owners responsibility, but this guy was ignorant. The dude doing shopping carts was a star, he gets a good rating, the manager however, I wish I could give a zero.
The customer service in general in any part of the store at this location does not compare to how great Burlington and Ancaster locations are.
Very good location. It can get busy......it's Costco after all. I find most cashiers are very, very efficient. I called in advance and talked to someone as I have a mask exemption. The person on phone said generally they have a no exceptions rule but they made an exception. At the door, I showed them my doctors note. I got a few looks from customers but if they are bothered by it, that's their issue and not mine. Kudos.
Clean, organized, good prices, fully stocked and wonderful customer service. The food at Costco is also AMAZING and fairly priced.
This location has the best quality beef steak that we bought in the past 10 years!
Unbelievably terrible customer service. The store policies in place are extremely ridiculous. If you feel like wasting hours of your day go here otherwise stay far away from this place. The one lady at customer service should be fired. The other Filipino lady should be promoted and given a pay raise. Costco needs to put policies in place to have faster turn around instead of creating extremely long line ups making people wait outside in the cold.
Big box store having all the products and services under one roof. Tire centre and gas station are another attractions.
Shopping in Costco is always fun! Get a bunch of snacks that'll last for weeks and quick meals for those times you feel lazy to cook. Plus the staff are helpful and friendly! Don't forget to try out delicious samples while you're there!
I frequent this location and the one in Vaughan. They have a gas station for members and that makes it a bit hard to get into the store due to traffic. Parking is a bit scarce during store hours. Store is well laid out and the staff are friendly.
Always my favourite place for some great products. Only downside, I always end up spend more than I should
Very well organized and prices are great. Staff seem happy and are helpful. Wish I could attend weekly as they always have new items coming in but it is worth the trip from another city. We usually see several people we know from our city, shopping there at the same time as us. Would be a great idea to have Costco arrange a bus load of us to go there once every 2 weeks! Would be worth it!
Always enjoy shopping here. However today I was perturbed a few times as someb SHOPPERS were not practicing Social Distancing. One lady in particular came right up beside me at the meat cooler to ask me questions of the hamburger sale. She was literally 3 inches away from me. A few others would walk right beside you about 1 foot away. Its like some are STILL oblivious.
Over crowded! Not a pleasent experience, especially now. Didn't seem like covid-19 protocol was being followed. There was No Way anybody could of stayed 6 feet apart! And some customers didn't have masks on??!! Didn't stay. Left!!
Excellent staff. Helpful. Not many people in today. Shopping was fine.
This place is always busy, I've been here during the daytime on weekdays and mistakenly on the weekends and evenings. Not recommended around dinner time when samples are being given as large families bring all 17 members and crowd the food tables ensuring no one else can have a taste. I don't even bother trying. The line ups to check out are always long and there never seems to be enough cashiers to handle the volume of customers. The store does have a good selection of baked goods and produce and their flowers/rose bouquets are a great deal. Not a good place to purchase one or only a few items unless you go at opening time.
You can only shop for essentials now, which is fair. Finally a just ‘vid 19 measure, but that only means more business for Amazon lol. As far as Costco, is just like any other Costco. Their rotisserie chicken is better than heartlands, and they finally brought back Decaf Colombian coffee (green can). I’m not very fan of their crew there is not much happiness between them, just routine which is a company’s problem not theirs. It gets very annoying to enter when they decide to ask for membership, and their chicken wings are my moms favourite over any restaurant lol
Nice to see very friendly staff, i lock myself out of my vehicle at the gas pump, I had to wait for my husband to rescue me, and instead having me freeze outside Cheryl let me stand inside there little booth till my husband came by, she was very comforting noting I am not only person who has lock themselves out. Cheers to Cheryl and Costco.
This is my FAV Costco location! With easy access to the HWY (QEW) it makes it great for loading up before heading out on a road-trip. The gas-bar is always busy but moves quickly. **Insider Tip: the gas bar is not busy in the morning and they open EARLY!!** The store is laid out as per usual if you are an experienced COSTCO member.
What is there not to love about Costco? Aside from the parking situation, teeming aisles and lineups, it has great products and usually prices that make it worth most of the nuisance of fighting off 100s for a parking spot. The treasure hunt setup makes keeping the bill to your shopping list impossible as I always leave buying something I don’t need or didn’t expect I did.
Wish they'd be a little more consistent in stocking regular products
I shop here often as it is very close to my office. The store and parking lot are clean and organized most of time, better than the rest in the city. Most cashiers at check out are attentive, friendly and helpful. I’ve only had negative experiences at the pharmacy and optometry counters. The Philippine lady at the pharmacy cashier counter and the optometry counter manager/supervisor lady are both plain rude and lack of services attitude/skills. May be they missed the company customer service training classes/sessions. Or they are just not happy working there for whatever reasons.
Good service and friendly staff. Good quality products
It’s good. Everywhere is clean. Return part it’s bit slow.
Always out of stock of their own t-shirts and why can't they manage cash out. It's like it's their first time being busy?
Worst service I've experienced at any location. I've been using this location primarily for 10+ years. Doubt I'll return to this location and risk having that service again.
I would give Costco Wholesale five stars however I can't because some of their prices are a little bit Steep. And they don't have enough products to accommodate the ketogenic diet. And perhaps have a section for pasture-raised grass-fed meat poultry and Dairy
This location is so insane busy. Just a helpful propane payment hint so people are aware. The 91st south Costco location has closed down their tobacco sales till now so the fastest way to pay for propane refills is at the Tire sales till. Enter through the same door as you would for item Returns and turn left once you pass the Customer Service counter.
Yes it’s an experience. Yes it’s wholesale and yes it saves a few dollars. But overall, it’s huge. Sometimes the expiry date is close enough that you cannot buy goods for a good whole week or month. Maybe if you have a large family to …
This Costco has a tiny parking lot, and on weekends, it shows. People will circle and circle for a space. I did the same, and eventually left. Other reviewers also seem to be bang on when they say Costco attracts the lowest common denominator of people. I got honked at, and waved at, for trying to look for a parking lot. The occasions where I managed to get in, I found the store extremely crowded, busy, with people desperate to grab deals. Thankfully, Walmart exists and is open til 11PM so I can always choose a less crowded time to do my shopping. And I hate how there is a line for exiting as they check your receipts and magically detect that you've not stolen anything. Deals at Costco are good! But everything else is unbearable.
Went mid day for gas and dropped into the store which was not too busy. The garden centre is now open but had a line will a max 25 people in the area at a time They are doing a good job following COVID 19 guidelines.
Personally I prefer Costco over any of the other larger stores like walmart or superstore. They usually have most registers open and line-ups are not too painful unlike the before mentioned stores. For what they offer they are the best place to buy bulk.
great variety of stock and prices, my only drawback is getting food at the eatery and having nowhere to sit and eat, Covid restrictions could be easier with tables 6 ft apart, just saying
Great place to find what is needed. In and out in 1/2 hour. Fast service!
Great for bulk buys of hand soap and loo rolls. This place is always busy. Early is better in terms of parking space but expect to use half a tank of gas while waiting for gas! Also expect people trying to steal your parking space. This place doesn’t attract many people with manners. All the usual Costco stuff is here, including manically smiling staff trying to get you to upgrade your membership and take the oh so exclusive credit card. Brilliant mega shop with some real bargains and staffed by friendly and helpful staff.
Great BBQs. Though they need to offer some natural gas equipped BBQs at some low and mid-range prices.
Terrible store layout compared to the other Costco’s. I spent a lot of time trying to find basic items because the product placement was obnoxious. Will avoid this one.
The staff here are really great. Quick, friendly, helpful. The Etobicoke elite customers who push their carts around at 100 km/h and mutter things like "Jesus Christ" under their breath (but loudly enough so you can hear) if you're in their way - not so great. Suggest going here when you have time, and pushing your cart around slowly, taking your time - only in part to take petty pleasure in annoying people who clearly think their time is more valuable than yours. Gotta love the hot dogs, too.
Great location, staff are always pretty quick at the checkout and at the restaurant. This location is usually fully stocked with all the stuff I need. Parking is a bit busy, but store is always clean.
Great Costco! Clean and I love the addition of the self check outs for when I'm only purchasing a few items.
I mean who doesn't love costco, you can buy pretty much anything your heart desires here from furniture to food and electronics. They have social distancing and covid protocols in place which is awesome to see since the size of the store. All the staff that work at this location are kind and friendly and willing to help you find anything you are looking for. I would definitely go on a little quieter day as it does get busy during peak times. The food from the food court they have is absolutely amazing for the price it is at. Overall one of the better costcos i have been too.
I went to check out the glasses they had and the staff was super quick to come and make sure I was ok and that I didn't need help. The selection was pretty good. I'm super happy with the prices they are beyond amazing. Then the staff made sure that I didn't have to wait long once I made my choice got me all set up and were very friendly. I loved every second of my experience.
Nothing new, Costco at Mississauga lacks everything - you won’t see there good management, customer service skills, organization. Employees as managers are grumpy and you have this feeling you’re a burden there and not a client. Instead of waiting in unexplainable lane for 20 minutes in Mississauga Costco, go to Etobicoke Costco. Whole lot of different experience!!!
Great deals on choice high quality items. Food items are usually extra large quantity. Selection changes all the time. Efficient operation with generous sized parking spots.
We got a cell phone from Mobile kiosk from Shawn and he was super helpful.
Close and convenient location for me and my wife. Never had any issues with finding what I need. Customer is also very great.
Love it here during the week. Cheap lunch! I wish in Ontario Costco could have its liquor store! It is amazing how much cheaper it is! But I still do 80% of all my food and household product shopping here.
Busy place, but the addition of self checkouts is really helping the line ups!! The specials they have and the limited runs of goods are great value and sometimes even unbelievable!! "Kate Spade", queen/king sizes plush throws for the bed, under $25 each!!!
Spend a lot of time going through the aisles. And keep a paper or organizer app ready with a list of what you ve bought. Otherwise the final bill, in all the excitement of buying in bulk will surprise you. The sheer size is intimidating and needs at least 30mins of settling in before you can decide on where to start shopping. But, that's off to Costco for this business model.
I went to this Costco shortly after they opened, the people traffic was great. It wasn't crowded at all, easy to keep your distance. I was able to find what I was looking for and more, the line up for the tills were short and quick, the staff were friendly and professional. I also went to the gas pumps which were empty, that was really nice. Also, who can't argue the price of fuel here, it was a no brainer to gas up before leaving.
Very well run Costco warehouse style store. Lineups can be longer times but they move pretty fast. You can get very reasonably priced meals at the little cafe near the cash registers. You must have a membership to use Costco warehouse store. This store also refills propane tanks for barbeques. Wheelchair accessible entrance. Wheelchair accessible store. Handicapped parking in front of the store. Lots of free parking in the parking lot. TorontoLocalGuide review.
This one also has a gas bar. Get cheaper gas and do your shopping at the same time. Super busy place. The gas bar is always busy, so I go first thing in the morning. No one there! In the store I like going after 7pm during the week day for less traffic. Great place to shop, they have alittle bit of everything.
the staged (heavy) cat litter boxes were sold out ..only upper shelf cat litter available. no one around to get it down, had to dangerously donut ourselves. - Cash Register persons didnt ask if we had coupons or cards to redeem...demanding we do not reorganize our goods in the cart... they proceeded to haphazardly pile our good in the cart,(berries&bread underneath heavier items ..ignoring the open Costco reusable bags ready to go in the cart...Forcing us to do it in ths parking lot. felt rushed out like welfare Walmart trash... why do we pay Executive membership..just to be reduced in such a way?? only go to this Costco..because it's the only costco for 500 kms.
Always spend more than I want when I go in there, because darn they have so many great things. Honestly it can be really busy at times, however they’ll get you in and out real fast.
Don't let the depressing shade of grey everywhere turn you off, the staff is actually friendly and helpful there. Also keep in mind it's basically always busy, but it's worth it for the prices most of the time
Costco has everything you need! As a mother of 3 my husband and I love shopping here. Can't beat the free samples either lol ????
Great service, cheap gas in comparison with other stations. Even with line up's at the gas bar, it's very orderly and relatively quick. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Always really long return line and usually one or two people working. Just enough to make you think twice about returning an item. At the same time there are 2 people at the entrance nagging you about membership (you cannot check out without) and 2 people at exit to make sure Costco hasn’t overcharged you (thats what they say their purpose is). Very sad....
Love this store...not just for the bulk food but it's a good place to shop for Christmas gift. And honestly who can pass up the Jumbo Hot dog combo for 1.50!!!!! It's worth the membership ????
Really great staff! VERY busy location...would suggest opening earlier and staying open a bit later as Toronto's population is growing. Gas is always cheaper than the regular stations...but be prepared to wait. 5 stars if the hours change
Love Costco besides this insanity. Lots of selection anything you're looking for. Food qualities second to none, best Meats found anywhere. Well worth putting up with a busy lines. Parking at times can be challenging.
Looks like they are out of Kirkland brand toilet paper again...also two other items that are usually there, were also not available...disappointing...
Typical big-box membership shopping - you can find bargains if you look a bit, and don't mind large quantities. As of today, at least, the whole store including non-essentials seems to be open for business.
Currently, they are controlling the amount of people going in. This could result in a line on the outside, but the wait wasn't too long considering the length of the line. Once you're inside, there is lots of space to move around and not over crowded. Physical distancing is usually the length of your cart, but not always.
It was pretty calm at weekday afternoon. We didn't wait at cashier. They are missing frozen breads. Also round breads we're finished early.
Good location. Gets very busy. Parking lot can be a mess. Inside the store is well kept and lines move quickly
Love this place. All under one roof at competitive prices.
There for new hearing aids. Surprised by the organization of entire store for lockdown. The hearing aids clinic was crisp, professional and friendly. Hearing aids about 50% cheaper than anywhere else. The examination was the best and the lady who saw me was excellent. She even helped get the government allowance. Her follow up was timely and unexpected. I always hated Costco (too industrial, impersonal, etc) but this has changed my mind 180 degrees.
Janet, the Cashier, said I wasn't the person in my Costco membership Card. I said I was. She said she didn't believe me. I showed her my driver's license. The names matched, because, you know, it is me. She said she still didn't believe me, but was going to "run me through." I said that that made no sense. Why would she suggest that I didn't have a valid Costco membership, and still ring me through? After all, why am I paying for a membership if I don't need one. Costco also, I assume, has a policy to not allow people to borrow other people's costco cards... At which point, her 'duty' as a valued Costco employee should be to "not" ring me through, and deal with the "identity theft" appropriately. Let's get this straight... That is accusing me of identity theft. She would not admit that she was wrong. She wanted to ring me through. I ended up requesting a manager (I know. This isn't about being a "Karen" when it's a valid point). Finally she relucted and got one. Two managers ended up taking me away and dealing with the situation. One was correct in saying that my neck tattoo matched my tattoo on my driver's license. However the other thought it was pertinent to mention that I didn't look the same age as the person in the picture. That I looked younger... That picture is from probably 8 years ago. So, some how my 42 year old self is younger than myself at 34? Also, why would it matter. I proved who I was with valid government ID. Let's be serious here... Since when does Costco have higher identity regulations that the RCMP... Because I can guarantee that if I were to get a speeding ticket they would know who to give it out to. I don't feel like this was dealt with appropriately at all. And the managers were fairly quick to brush it off. Claiming someone is committing identity theft is a big thing... That's slander. Let's be real, identity theft can give someone a 5 year prison sentence. So why did the manages blow it off?
Good place with good prices, at Costco I always do my grocery shopping. The prices are really good and always had an special promotion that is good. The rewards program is good and I can get a percentage back in all my grocery purchase. To buy at Costco you have to pay an annual tax and get a card, isn't so expensive and the discounts pay you back. I recommend Costco Wholesale for those who wants good prices.
Easy to get around and I love getting their poutine. Kind of annoying that the staff have to scan all of your stuff at self check-out but I do understand that eliminates the need to sanitize between every customer, so I respect that.
All tills are running, and they are limiting people inside. Also are providing masks at the door to those that do not bring their own. Line up can be a bit long but moves at an understandable pace.
Very busy place but with an amazing selection of items. New to having a Costco membership again after about 15 years and it had only gotten better. Worst times to go are right after work until about 8pm - absolutely packed at that time!
The Executive Membership is well worth the money for parents. That 2% cash back on all purchases is huge. Love Costco, especially the Sudbury location as it's only an hour from me!
It’s Costco. What do you expect?
Nicely organized and friendly staff. I tried some samples of juice, dumplings which is one of the best parts of going to Costco! I just wish Costco accepted other credit cards besides MasterCard.
Was helped quickly, was able to get the computer I was looking for and was in and out in no time. Great value, even cheaper than dealing directly with the manufacturer
Prices are going up but the lineups are getting better... Or is it lineups are getting better because the prices are going up? This used to be the pest price in the GTA. It's getting beat sometimes now so get a gas app and check the prices before you come here and sit in a lineup for 5 to 10 minutes.
Costco gasoline is available here. Interestingly, gasoline rates at this Costco are slightly higher vs. Costco at Dundas and Mississauga. Gasoline queues are acceptable. Self checkout is not yet available, so expect to spend 10 mins (20 mins on weakness) for billing. Tire centre is available and has a very good service. For Indians: pani puris are not available at this Costco. You can buy these at Costco Dundas or Mississauga.
Great location for a Costco, prompt employee and helpful staff. Though making people load and off load items in the cart is confusing as for a long time people would leave these heavy items in the cart. I couldn't imagine this with an elderly person, seems a real lack of effort on Costco part.
If you arrive after 10 am at this location on the weekends, good luck finding parking. Seen many instances of illegal parking and drivers that cut in front of other waiting drivers for a spot. Surprised no one hasn't punched anyone in the face over that yet, or maybe they have. Its your typical Costco. Many shoppers are either pushing their way through as if its the last shop before the zombie apocalypse or they are abandoning their carts half hazardly in the middle of the isles while they stuff their faces with food samples as if they never ate that day and are dying of starvation. The checkouts are crammed and long. Doesnt help that products are almost jammed right up to the tills. Come early, beeline to what you need and get out as quickly as you can.
Love what Costco is doing as a wholesaler.. Good atmosphere and a good variety choices.. Ended up buying some non-essential things due to spontaneous decision making... That's what Costco is good at ;-). I went in to see a TCL TV but that particular model was not available there. Overall it had less electronics than other Costco's I've visited.
What can I say except for "excellent services"? Costco is always our favorite place to have grocery shopping. Although the variety cannot compete with other grocery chain stores, Costco keeps high quality food and very competitive price. The services are always unmatched. You must know their return policy, right? This place has a gas station. Super good.
The business center is great for all kind of stuff, the meat and cheese cooler are crazy! I like that you can still get your everyday groceries as well. Only had 2 tills open on a Saturday..
Costco is a weird place. It's so huge and usually busy, yet they still often have no idea what they're doing. Why is the checkout area set up the way it is? It's certainly not efficient and it doesn't really make sense. Also, the membership area is always a gong show. Today, we got told we were waiting in the wrong line up, so went over to the other line up where we were then told was wrong and to go back to the line we were originally in and then we got yelled at AGAIN for being in the wrong line up until a supervisor or manager came over and told the yelling clerk that they told us to stand in that line because it was the right line ????????♀️
I like going to Etobicoke store. It is getting busy again.
A chaotic zoo. If you want to reminisce of life before COVID, come here. No social distancing between people inside the store. A complete free for all.
Love shopping here, especially because they have the electrical buggies for disabled people and I can actually go around the store and shop. Polite workers, good stock, love the product variety
Review for 149th street location. Costco it would be nice if you could open some more tills for checkout. Half the time I come here, I leave as there are people lined up halfway through the store just waiting to checkout. Curious how much money they lose in sales vs hiring a few more people to work the empty tills during a rush.
Never had a bad experience at Costco’s Etobicoke location (or any of the others for that matter). Hard to walk around without buying something. Love the samples considering it allows you to actually try the food you’re about to buy, unlike a lot of other grocery stores. Good prices and friendly staff. I go to school nearby and stop by almost everyday after class for a hotdog and drink. Will always recommend to anyone even just for the gas prices alone!
I would give 5 Stars if they added a Costco Liquor to this location.
Lots of room in store for keeping physical distance from other shoppers. Prices not always lower than shops that don't charge a membership fee.
Getting through to the tire center is impossible...to book and appointment or even to ask a question about tires.... It pathetic that I have to drive to Costco to talk to someone in the tire center... Need more staff to answer phones or get rid of the option for a tire center on the phone list. Very frustrating
Excellent place to save money if you have a large family. The one nice thing about Costco is that you can return anything any time for a full refund in my experience. Mississauga handyman services For its business here so it is a good choice also for business owners.
Love this costco... Goood proteins stuff im always in the protein lane ???? But my visit was smooth they handled the people coming in well and theres wasnt a gigantic line or wait time to get in Cheers
Went in for a few household essentials, left questioning the true "value" of a costco membership.! I went into this location, showed my membership ID at the door and was let in. After shopping and paying for my items, I decided to stopped by customer's service to inquiry about an item I once saw in the warehouse. The customer service agent was rude, I had only gotten as far as "Good Morning" before the agent abruptly interrupted me stating she will not be attending to me before 9am, as I was not a "senior." (the time was 8:45am) I thought she was joking, so I laughed, and before I knew it another employee named "Yimualka" walked up to me and asked how I got into the store. I was a little confused and shocked at the question but I just got off a busy night shift at the hospital and thought perhaps I was reading into things. Ridiculous as the question was, I calmly responded, told her I came in through the front door even laughed about it. I guess this must have upset her or something, because next she was "lying," and that I "snuck in" through the side/exit door. She said it was "senior's hour" and next time not to show up before 9am. I didn't even know costco had seniors hours and I told her as much. I asked her if she knew how ridiculous she sounded. There were greeters at the door, I asked her why didn't someone stop me and others from entering the store, (I wasn't the only non-senior there at the time). She insisted I was lying, I drew her attention to the fact that she kept calling me a liar. She then denied it, as thought my very ears deceived me, and subsequently refused to apologize. I asked to speak to her manager and she replied "I am a manager," seemingly taking great joy in disclosing that fact to me. I asked three times to speak to her manager before she called him over, and told me to wait for him to the side, as I walked off to the side she told one of her colleague to "back her up." Not 100% but I guess she wanted someone to support her when asked by her manager. A few moments after, the manager named "Paul" arrived, I guess he must have had a chat with his employee or something prior. Before I even told him what happened, what his staff member said, he went on a tangent about how it was seniors hour, like that in some way justified his staff member's behaviour. I have less than 10 items in my cart, I could have made the trip another time had someone had told me the store was closed on entry. Paul, the manager, said he would speak to his staff and apologized. Normally, that have been okay, but I wasn't even finish telling him what occurred. I was a little confused, what was he going to speak to her about?, what was he apologizing for you? I wasn't shouting, yet the manager (Paul) asked me to take down my voice a "few notches," like being called a "liar" when spending my own money for a service was okay at costco, like I wasn't allowed to express myself at being upset. The manager pointed to the wall behind the customer service desk, told me, if I had any feedback or complaints I could address it to the contact information written there. These comments and many more were said to me. Extremely unprofessional staff behaviour at this location, but then once I met the manager I understood why the staff was able to speak to a customer like that. They say the fish rots from the head, and it was so apparent. But at at least he "apologized" for whatever he thinks his staff did, so I guess that makes everything okay. I have never been more disgusted having a membership at costco. I gave it up for 5years I think I can survive doing it again once this subscription is done. I deeply regret not returning the items I purchased. Never going to this location again.
Optical centre won't sell contacts without a printed prescription. They're not a controlled substance, they're curved plastic you put on your eyes. I don't know why they can't just record the correct numbers I tell them and pull the contacts from the drawer. Clearly Contacts or any online seller doesn't have this problem.
Accessible, wide Isles, awesome staff, provides scooters by the front door. Just don't go on the weekend if you don't need to an need to find parking close to the door, it's a mad house. Go an hour or two before closing time the store is less busy during the week. Easier to move around especially if you're physically impaired so you are less likely to have crowded spaces to move around freely.
Very good place to get bulk foods. All the staff is very helpful when you need them or looking for so.thing, absolutely love Costco.
One of the nicest Costcos in the city. As with all the Costcos, there is a line up at the gas bar. However, the gar bar is well laid out and the line moves faster than at the Warden location for instance. The store has a simple no-nonsense layout with ample parking unlike the store on Kirkham Dr.
Depends on what you're looking for!! Anything from the new television to electronics, as you enter the door! To fridges & dishwashers, even something special as a crystal figurines! Or even jewelry, or how about a new watch for either the man or that special lady in you're life! They carry clothes to books, games for the kids! And this time of year Christmas ornaments, to trees! Need gas, you can always fill you're tank 4¢ cheaper than the regular gasoline station! Most Costco have a place to get your tires changed to even a liquor store! Or just go inside and do your family groceries, from bulk meats to seafood! From frozen to those bake goods that you crave! Toilet accessories to new furniture, to even flowers for that loved one! To tell her that you love & care about! They even have a pharmacy in store with a pharmacist! Taken some photos lately they can even take care of that for you... Have a Very Merry Christmas & New Year Drive Responsibility
Pretty good Costco, kinda dirty. Some of the Kirkland items are better than thier competitors ( eg. Greek Yogurt ). It can be very busy at this location ( eg. midday weekdays, weekends ), and for the Food Court and Gas Bar, so don't come on weekends unless you really have to go back for stuff. Also don't buy clothes here, only cheap people buy clothes here. The garden centre has closed for the season, but seasonal items are available and Christmas items are already available. Tons of samples, too ! Man, I love Costco !
Not really sure how to rate Costco... well, it's Costco! For anyone who is familiar, there isn't much to say, as it's pretty self explanatory. Big, big portions of everything, but if there's one thing that keeps us coming back it is the quality and value of Kirkland products. I just wish that the people and traffic chaos wasn't so high!
I really dislike the parking lot at this location.
Dangerous place to spend more thank you expect but I can’t complain. Their return policy is one of the best I know
Consistent with all other Costco stores. Inventory is usually plentiful, staff (if you can find one on the floor) are helpful, clean warehouse, all good. Gas line ups aren't terrible if you go midday.
The layout for this Sudbury opens on the right side with the eye care on the right and followed by electronics. The following aisles on the right side are the office supplies, home items and care. The middle is the same, fresh food/meat in the back and the far left side is where all the frozen and pantry food is (sometimes reversed in other locations like Kanata). Medicine is the far left side. Food is good like every other location. Bathroom is far top left corner
The aisles are close together...not like most Costco's
I frequent all of the locations in and around the GTA. This Costco location is the most disorganized in the city. Their checkout line/process is a jumbled mess compared to the other locations (which is especially important to get right mid-covid). On the plus side this location has a Costco gas station but otherwise I'll be avoiding this location if I can.
Good selection staff could be more helpful
Costco is great. Basically everyone I have been to is exactly the same inside. This one is no different in those regards. This one does not have a gas bar unfortunately. We come here for food mostly. Price and quantity is hard to beat. The quality is good, I wouldn't say it is extraordinary like our local butcher, but it is good. If you haven't tried the coconut clusters or whisps you are missing out. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The parking area is cramped and a zoo at best of times. We like it here and will continue to go.
Line moves well and usually stocked with everything I need. Good cleaning practices by sanitizing carts and requiring a mask to be worn inside. As with all Costco some stuff is not cheaper than the grocery store so do your research for pricing. How much longer until we get Kirkland brand alcohol???
Well stock good quality merchandise and food helpful staff
Michael R. (OP# 168) at the checkout saved this Costco from my "never shopping here again" list. On July 18th, 2020, I encountered very rude employee who clearly doesn't know the mean of "Customer Service", and potentially has a bit mental issue. Wish I got her name; she's a white lady with light (maybe blond) hair color. Michael R. on the other hand, absolutely knows the mean of those words: "Customer Service".
Who doesn't love Costco? Always end up spending/buying more than planned but never regret. Unbeatable prices mean bigger packaging. They don't have as many SKUs as other stores but usually carry most of the things you need.
Been years since I visited the original Costco, usually shop the Winterburn location. Great service as usual!
I realize that it's their policy to bully and intimidate customers as they feel that people under stress will buy more and be less inclined to speak up about pricing errors or return their weekly recalled items. But when you have "staff" making fun of young children and disabled geriatric folks right to their faces is where I draw the line. I won't return to any CostCO again. I never liked Costco products that much anyway.
Decent store, I am used to a different layout. If you're a regular Costco shopper and this isn't your regular store and you can't find an item likely in a different cooler. I couldn't find grilled chicken breast or cooker chicken skewers search the same 4 aisles of coolers and walked towards the produce section and what I was looking for was in a wall cooler by the produce.
Decent location with a good selection. Amazing meat counter and ready made dishes from their kitchen. Also the best roast chicken ever. BUT it loses stars due to the very poor layout of the parking lot and entrance and also being packed almost all the time. The entrance is diagonal to a very busy throughway/intersection for the cars in the parking lot. As a result you have a steady stream of people walking across it at all times along with 4 lanes of cars coming and going or trying to find parking. Very poor location for the entrance to the store! Parking is horrible. The lot is often full and driving around with all these people coming and going along with a bunch of other people looking for parking is a headache. The city of Toronto is aware of this and if you park on the street (as many eventually do) you'll find a ticket on your windshield when you get back. The main entrance to the lot from the street is poorly planned also. The Costco gas station backs up onto the street sometimes causing a traffic jam for anyone wanting to either gas up or go in the store...or even just drive down the street.
Indifferent staff. Too busy chatting and socializing with each other to help. Gas station is very efficent short lines up. Food court has been renovated, less seating and self help kiosks????, miss the staff.
Thankfully finally have self checkout so it makes the line move faster especially when you only have a few items
Store, parking lot, and gas station can get very busy but it flows. Staff members are organized and know what they're doing. Good place to shop.Members only, of course.
Out for the 4 different costco stores I visit here in the city, this one is by far the least kept. Very messy, looks ransacked every time I've been there. Parking lot is a nightmare. All this being said, I don't think this is the employees fault so much as it's the folks who shop here.
I give this store five stars because whenever I am in this store to shop with my service dog Nefertiti we are treated with the almost RESPECT and courtesy by staff and managers alike. More importantly, the staff is aware of my issues with standing and will provide accommodation by getting me checked out adequately, so that I don't fall down.On the other hand, they love! Love when Nefertiti comes in the store because she relieve their stress and brightens their day.Thank Costco Sudbury Your Staff is doing a Great Job!!!
I loved this location. There is lots of parking and it was definitely not as busy as many of the other locations I have been to, my checkout was the fastest ever for a Costco. Given it was during the week but I've been to the location by Dundas & Dixie during the week and it is crowded there seemingly always. Also the gas station was not as busy compared to the Dundas location. Could be an anomaly, maybe not. I will update if I visit again.
Expect to be treated like a criminal for having a expired card but current account. Supervisors speak down to you and treat you like you're robbing them!
Great experience st this Costco because of wonderful helpful staff. Ben from the meat department was a HUGE help! He went out of his way to help me find what I needed and saved my BBQ weekend! Highly recommend coming to this costco.
This is probably one of the better locations that have more to offer overall from groceries, to clothing, and extras. Always packed here but you can't expect anything more from the Costcos that have gas stations included with them. But overall this is my preferred Costco.
Good size store, but not very easy to find what you need them due to the layout. Cheap Yummy sandwiches and ice-cream, hard to find parking. Added bonus- Costco gas
I love checking out the clothing section!!
Probably the Costco with best product selection and variety in Toronto. It even contains automobile products which the yorkdale location doesn't have. It has a gas station which is usually packed with big lines. It has a big parking lot but might be though to find a spot close to the door pretty much like any Costco. Morning hours are usually less busy.
Friendly staff, busy location. Lots more selection than the ones from Scarborough.
This location isn't as crowded as others. My main complaint with Costco is lack of employees to ask where things are... so it makes a newcomer not very welcome.
Based on the low staff turnover rate and general upbeat and pleasant nature of the staff, you can tell the stories are true of how well the company treats their employees - and this location is no exception to that. Otherwise - it's a clean and tidy Costco location. You know what you're getting into when you're shopping there so get ready to buy some peanut butter jars that weigh more than a small child, K-Cups by the crate, a car battery, more pairs of socks than any one human should need in a lifetime, and half a cow's worth of ground beef all in one convenient location!
Really great staff, always so friendly and helpful. Good organization and clean store, my go to for groceries!
I like this Costco at it has Costco Gas station nearby, so whenever reach gas station to fill gas, my wheel automatically moves towards Costco warehouse. Warehouse is maintained well, now its generally crowded unlike during Covid …
During the quarantine/lockdown in April, shopping at Costco soared to a new high. It was the most pleasant shopping experience I've ever had. There was ample room and time to browse and select your items, people were uber courteous and patient. It has now returned to being a nightmare, filled to capacity with individuals who are seemingly self centered and completely unaware of the others around them. The classic trolley jams in the aisles and the doting shopper stoping randomly infront of you to only stall several other shoppers behind you. It's unfortunate. The silver lining, the staff. They are always top notch; they are polite, efficient and for reasons beyond me, patient. They are why I shop there. Thank you staff. I wish we could continue with a Costco running the way it did during the lockdown. It was a dream.
Spend way too much always, but end up saving in the long run...meat dept. and cheese varieties are the best!
Costco itself has great products at good prices. The problem with Costco is that it's always really busy and people have no self awareness. Everyone gets close to you and doesn't respect personal space. Waiting in line for a check out is an exercise in patience. It's basically every person for themselves with no rhyme or reason. People line up where and how they want, no regards to social distancing. Costco has some worn out arrows on the floor that are ignored and that's about it for enforcing covid precautions. They are more concerned with you flashing your membership than they are with organizing customers. I have gone to this location at all different times and days but it's always the same thing; busy, stressful and frustrating. I would suggest avoiding stores like this until people are all vaccinated or there's more focus on enforcing covid precautions.
Wholesale club , most of the items in bulk or family size , Costco is a big brand as well Kirkland , you can find inside Costco whole sale , optical centre , photo centre , bakery, pharmacy and hearing aid centre , you can find also all kind of electronics such as TVs all size and accessories , security cameras, sound systems, then all kitchen staff , furniture. camping accessories, books and magazines section , kids toys section, deli section , vegetables and fruits section ,dairy section , all kind of frozen products , different type of supplements , cosmetics products and finally the restaurant with big collection of food , outside Costco there is a gas station with lowest price when you compare it to other gas company , tires service change or service the tires . Basically this place have all kind of product like a full package store , one visit you can buy everything, the quality service are the best , staff also so nice to the customers , I recommend this place strongly, thanks.
I don't have a Costco card. I ask families to enter with them so I can go eat samples and then devour hotdogs, fries and their turkey sandwich ????????????????
I love Costco. I love purchasing things from Costco because I get many things of my choice and they are at reasonable prices.
Nice place to buy wholesale products.
Good products at often good prices, it can be hard to find some products but all Costco's are like that. This location always has a lot of cashier's open. The food from the cafe is priced well. Edit: Today I made the mistake of only grabbing one package of muffins that were 2 for $7.99, the cashier assistant went and got me a 2nd package. I am very grateful for this, it was very thoughtful.
Very good location. (Busy gas bar but generally the lowest prices around). Very efficient staff. Not a lot of turnover of staff as I recognize many people that have been there for years. Lots of parking but lots of customers as well. I tend to shop between 1pm & 4pm on weekdays as it’s not quite as busy.
Got a pair of glasses last year but was really not happy with the frames so I took them back to see what could be done. Jennifer was so accommodating and professional helping me pick out new frames and made the whole process painless. The switch didn’t cost me any extra money which made me very happy! Thank you Jennifer!
They had everything I needed. Super busy , but in and out pretty quickly!
I go to Costco likely once a month for various Staples. Check out tends to be quick even if the lines are long. Lots of parking and my kids like getting the cheap hot dog deal lol
Hands-down best place to go to get some delicious food and unique items
The only bad thing about this location are the crowds. I am hoping to land at a new residential area where the Costco might hopefully be a little less hectic.
It's a zoo in here. May be it's cause we are new to the scene, but this definitely isn't for shopping for groceries. I'm told the membership is best used for the gas discounts, so we will see!!
There is a triple vaccinated zealot, overbearing employeewoman in a cloth mask far from fresh who yells at you from another corner of the store to pull your mask over your nose. Since when it became acceptable to yell at your customers across the floor like it is some sort of a 3rd world country fish market? Everyone is stressed, keep yourself in check, lady.
Very crowded. One of the busiest Costco's around. And put of bathroom tissue and paper towels. Here we go again
Went shopping for Omicron..didn't find any
If you love a crowded place where people have no idea what personal space well this is the place for you. Don't get me wrong I love Costco. It has great stuff I need in bulk for great prices. Mainly just the people that don't look before crossing in the parking lot that grew up playing frogger that grind my gears.
I call Costco the hundred dollar store. Everytime you go here you spend more than you are suppose to. I suggest you make a list of what you really need. I like finding cheaper items here. Their return policy is incomparable. I'm not impressed with customer service now a days. Some have excellent service but others slack which pulls down everyone else. I have encountered bad service from one of the supervisors considering I have a little one. For this, I'll give 2 stars to Costco! ????
Love shopping here but it gets busy right away early in the morning even. I always buy too much though even with a list. So clean, so organized and I find the staff is friendly and helpful.
Well laid out. New feature all sale items price signs are green instead of the white. Masks are given out if you don't have one. Excellent prices and good selection
Me and my girlfriend love this Costco. I stay in Toronto sometimes for work and this place is better than the ones down there. We do Christmas shopping here and also get all our summer stuff and some groceries. The staff is really nice and helpful, and they always go out of their way to give you a hand. The products are always fresh too and we never worry about getting something expired or not being able to return something we got on accident. Really good place and we'll keep shopping here.
I like Costco all over it is my favourite place to shop and eat,but sometimes there are very rude employees. I have rented some things from this store and I was surprised by how they served me, it was very bad. I bought something on December 27/2020 and went back January 7 2021 to return it because it wasn’t what I was looking for, the employees were rude, as well as the manager. Over the years, most of my money has went to costco and I was shocked by how they treated me that day.
Staff were pretty friendly and helpful in directing me to locate certain items. Great selection of products at this Costco too
We love Costco. For the first time even in our 15 yrs of business with them, the person who was helping us check out was impolite. Maybe,it was a busy day and he was worked up( not sure).
Costco is a typical warehouse store. You can't expect much as it's basically self serve. They get the customer quickly through the checkout. I like it. New Covid Rule: each person entering must have their own Costco card.
There isn’t much bad you can say about Costco. But, the workers at the return/membership are the LAZIEST people I have ever seen. It took them 30-40 minutes to finish with one customer. I don’t know if it’s bad training or genuine laziness, 5 workers at the return section working on one person with only one return item. Unbelievable.
Great products for a fair price. Staff are always willing and happy to help. I frequent this establishment often.
I like Costco. My wife loves Costco. My kids like the buffet while we shop. My bank account hates Costco. We go in there to buy a “few” items and leave spending the equivalent of some some small Caribbean’s counties GDP. But.... like always, if I can’t get it at Costco I probably didn’t need it.
Out of all the Costco I've been in the GTA; I find the staff friendliest, easiest to find to parking, and the shoppers are the most well behave. At the others ones, it's a freaking zoo. This one is in good location with enough exits and entrance.
Great tire center and customer service.
Awful customer service!!! I lost an item in the warehouse, but they didn't do anything! They were saying like, "It's your fault. We can't do anything. I can't give you a free product." But wait, it's not free! I paid for it, and I haven't got it! Their attitude was so cold, and so aggressive! With only 1 box of crisps, they can make happy customer, but they totally failed. They don't have any respect for a customer, and I'll go to another store to buy same product!
Did not have the same thing as other area Costco's. But, gas pumps are available here and was $ 1.29 verses gas stations at $1.37 that day. P.S. know your prices , and compare as Walmart prices are competitive.
It's Costco.. What more do you need to know? Happy employees (well paid / good benefits) = happy customers. Never had an issue here. Cheapest gas in town too. Keep an eye on the sales and stock up.
Had a terrible visit to Costco tonight; the associate working self checkouts was extremely rude and had no customer service skills.
Can’t ever go wrong with Costco Bring lots of money
I can say that it is one of my favorite stores. I like their offer for the organic products. The only unpleasant thing is that you don't find always what you need.
The lady made my wife feel discriminated against, not friendly customer service only the lady at the check out was friendly to us. The foods cheap and good deals so guess we gotta put up with it.
Costco is Costco. If you've been to one, you've been to them all, which in the case of Costco, is a good thing. Everything you could ever need add then some all under one roof. And don't ever forget the fantastic hotdogs!
Always stellar staff and service thanks for all the hard work! Especially Kathryn as I was looking for some camping chairs that was just recently taken off the shelves. Kathryn found two after she looked everywhere! PRO-STAR STAFF of the Year Award goes to you guessed it Kathryn! :)
Hard to say as I don't normally go to other Costco locations. What I can say is that staff are helpful but parking can be tight on weekends. I usually go during the week end it is easier to get in and out quick.
I wish the lambs were kept in the meat department as they are upsetting to see. It would be great if eco-friendly toilet paper options were kept in stock. Bamboo is fantastic. Happy that there are so many great vegan products!
I really like Costco even though it breaks the bank every time I go. They're expensive and I wish sometimes everything wasn't in bulk but that's what Costco is known for. Wish they'd bring back their cinnamon roll/buns. Their delivery through Instacart has higher prices than shopping in-store and Costco shouldn't let that happen. They charge enough for service fees, they can go without jacking up the price too. Walmart doesn't let them jack up the price for delivery. Shame on Costco for that one. Lose a star cuz of Instacart.
Great to get cheese. It was easy to get in. I miss the free samples but with covid, you understand why. Social distancing did not seem so bad when we went but I did not see a counter for the people coming and going in the shop. They changed some of where everything was placed as we could not find the paper towel at first. We like to buy meat but because of the meat supply issues - a little more expensive than usual. I could not buy a fitness tracker there at the store - apparently only carry the Apple Watch - even looked if they had the Samsung watch. Nice little selection of digital cameras at reasonable prices but they did not have the Canon Mirrorless out to see what it was like to hold. Looking to see if they had the Gusti winter jacket for toddlers and kids set out but seems you can only buy online still. Still a nice selection of books in the store that a child can help them in their learning.
149 Street Costco is often less crowded than other Costcos, but there can still be line ups at checkout at busy times such as Saturday afternoon. It is conveniently located just south of Yellowhead on 149 Street. If you cannot walk for a long time, they have scooter shopping carts you can use in store. One great thing about shopping at Costco is that they choose the best products, eliminating the need for comparison shopping. When they have product samples you can discover new products to love. Some of our favorite products are the Mac Sports folding wagon, BC cargo pants (which we call Costco pants), Morningstar black bean burgers, Kirkland nut bars, and Stonemill red potato salad. The pharmacy is great, as is the in-store restaurant. The gas bar is busy at rush hour, but go at another time for discounted gas. It's open 30 min after the store closes, so you can get gas after shopping.
Regarding the online grocery, they shipped my order is one huge box, well over 100 lbs. I could barely get it in my door. Half my order was either broken or damaged (peach jars leaking, canned goods deeply dented, missing item, etc.). Now I am on hold to speak to customer service, and the recording says I will be waiting 90 minutes. I'm going to stick to the smaller, local grocers. They do grocery delivery much better. Costco is great for some things, but it seems online grocery needs some work.
Friendly staff. Well organized. We live buying bread, cheese nuts from there. Produce for some reason is hit or miss. Sometimes very fresh, sometimes nyewr rotten.
Shopping here is always an excellent experience! I especially like how quickly they took action with covid. The employees are amazing, the store is clean and well-stocked, and everything runs smoothly. I've been to a few others, and this is my favourite.
I personally do not like shopping at Costco often. It has nothing to do with the staff/products/services/pricing or anything that they could improve. I just rather dislike how busy it can get that usually translates into crowded aisles and long wait times at Cash out.
Not a bad location, although the one on Lairde in Mississauga has a large selection.
I went there around 3pm and it wasn't that busy they have nitrile gloves but still expensive than before 100ea for 19.99!
Didn't have cheese balls or karaoke machine!!
Well assorted massive store. Unbeatable prices on great quality items. Cashier was very polite and helpful.
Really costco isnt such a good deal. Ppl are fooled easily
Great service, friendly staff, great choices, love this store
My favourite store They have the best selection of fresh fruit & vegetables as well as great cuts of meat. Avoid on weekends if you want to get in and out quickly
Always a great place to shop. Best deals you can find for electronics, clothing, Meat and household accessories
Tried to cancel an order and I got the run around when someone finally answered the phone. It was very poor customer service on their part. I couldn't even get a hold of a manager to address the problem, no one seemed to care.
Great place to shop but be prepared to spend more than you wanted. Too many cool things to pass up. Sometimes the cash lines are long but my biggest pet peeve has to be the second wait line when you are leaving. Waiting in long lines to have your receipt checked is very annoying at times. When they are quick it's not so bad, but those occasions are few and far between it seems
Costco is the best price for the products they sell and has the best return policy if there is a problem. You do need a membership to shop here though. I have been shopping here for years and have always enjoyed the experience. The store is well lit and clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. The products and food are always of the best quality. The only thing I don’t like about Costco is the parking, hard to find a spot and exiting is never easy.
I've been this Costco location over 10 years and shopped there at least once a week. Most of the store clerks are helpful and wonderful except one old lady at cashier , she's grouchy and always hanging a upside down smiley face. I usually leave my items in cart with all bar-code facing upwards and I was appreciated for what I did without any problems. This grouchy lady insists all items must be put on the belt including cases of bottle water and juice.
Always a great place to visit. Be ready to spend minimum of $300 hahaha there is so much things that is hard to resist. If you need gas they have a place to gas your vehicle. It is not too busy overall.
You know Costco. Always rammed. Go there for fuel. Its a small line up.
I think this is the oldest Costco in Edmonton. The variety of products is pretty good. Plus gas is one of the cheapest I town, also nobody can beat the cheap hotdog and drink. Also the putin or French fries are super tasty.
I was trying to get a hold of the pharmacy for 2 days, no one picks up, also called front customer service, no one picks up the phone. How come?
Not much to say, it's Costco. I haven't been to get has from here yet either so I can't say anything on that. Do NOT come in the middle of the day or you will be hard pressed to find parking and you'll be waiting in the lines a very long time. Try for opening or later in the day. Also there are carts littering the parking lot. Last time we were there I saw 4 clogging up a handicapped spot which was disheartening. Other than that, it's clean, prices are good and staff are nice.
Mostly Bigger than any other Costco i been. A lot of options for bulky products. Bigger Inventory. Line goes faster.
A little crowded in some aisles buy no line up to cash out which was great! Cashier was super nice
I've only shopped in the store, so my review isn't related to any online purchase. Every Costco I've ever been in has been a positive buying experience. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This is the place to go if you're making a large purchase, throwing a party or just have a large family. A+
shopping was good and checkout was fast, but it badly needs traffic control in and out, and especially for access to the gas station. edit two years later: gas station access at peak times is better now.
Costco is always busy. Buying bulk can save some money. Please that there's always stuffs you could taste before buying. Now that Yellowhead store has shelf cash out it has cut down line up tremendously.
Very clean very full of items and straight. Staff are awesome..don t get too go very often as cov id is still here.but i took a chance today with a friend
Came to Costco for a bag of milk, but walked out with a six pack of sofas and a 50 gallon barrel of mayonnaise. Was excited to see that the Christmas stock has arrived for 2023 already.. Got a few free samples of coffee beans. A bit dry and crunchy .. I think I was supposed to wait and make coffee with them; the instructions were unclear so I might have misunderstood. Do you like impulse buying hundreds of dollars of goodies in two hours? Then come to Costco!
They should have some shopper etiquette signs up. Always good deals on bulk stuff though.
This is my favorite Costco store located in etobicoke by QEW. Big ups to Greg at the door making sure all the shopping cart handles are wiped as shoppers enter the store. Although I being a fan of lysol wipes think he can use 1 wipe for 4 carts. But thank you Costco for looking out for us.
One of the worst Costco ever seen. Avoid this 1,barely social distancing, people are very agitated, long line ups...ughhh
It is a Costco. The membership can be returned if you are not satisfied. The hot dogs are great and the prices on some items are ideal for a family or a small business. Try the gyro kit.
This costco is so busy all the time and the people behind the food counters always seem to struggle to keep up with the orders. I find that going on weekdays after 5pm is less busier than in the mornings. Weekends, do even bother.
Nice to see that the store is kept clean. The check out has improved, they have gotten faster.
FREAKING LOVE COSTCO ! Always cool and new things to try and buy ! I paid $60 for the year for my membership I’m totally hooked not to mention I feed the whole family dinner after each trip for under $10 such a great place! The only thing …
You should try their ice-cream
This place is really hit or miss when it comes to understanding customers. I shop here out of necessity, really don’t need be at Costco for an 80 pack of hotdogs you know what I mean? My last visit, I found a bicycle for my girlfriend. The price was pretty reasonable. They all seemed to be assembled ok. Just needed a little air in the front tire. So believe it or not, no one. Absolutely NO ONE! Could even assist to get a little air in the tire. The tire centre couldn’t even help with 2 pounds of air. How in the world did they get these tires filled in the first place? Just completely dumbfounded how no one could even help. Half the time, seems like no one knows anything about anything.
I understand that everyone is stressed with the pandemic and how generally busy Costco Sudbury is. However the staff need to not berate customers at the check out. I was absolutely appalled and disgusted by the attitude of the cashier who cashed me out.
Long lines on weeknights after 6pm, they move fairly quickly though.
Great and Beautiful flowers!! Fairly priced and lasted much longer than grocery store flowers.
Hey it's Costco... as big box stores go they're pretty good. Prices are a hit and miss, just know your prices. However if you're like me and just one to one stop shop. ☆☆☆ BOOM ☆☆☆... COSTCO'S YOUR PLACE!!!
Favourite Costco in the city, hands down.
Renewed memberships today. Currently not allowing more people than needed, so if you aren’t a member you wont be allowed in. Waited about 10 minutes inside before we got inside due to restrictions. No marked arrows for traffic but other than that, great ????????
this store is always well stocked and clean. the staff are wonderful, from the greeters and customer service to the people who work hard at collecting the carts outside. Always very helpful and nice
Always very busy. Well stocked and organized.
Good store, but doesn't have some products around, I shall order in advance
Other than long line up Excellent store
Clean and organized. Most of what you expect from Costco are there
This Costco gets busy and finding parking sometimes takes a few minutes. Overall, this location is well-organized and easy to navigate. It's well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Go here all the time, gas prices are low and the food selection is great. Almost always check out the appliances here before buying online.
Wow waited in line with people. I love Costco good sales. So happy not at home been 3 months since I was in a crowd!!!!
Absolutely horrible. There was no social distancing at all, the store was overcrowded and people were tightly packed together, yet staff members didn't do anything to help or reinforce social distancing like lining people outside the store. I guess money is more important than people's health. Disgusting how greedy these people are.
This is a typical Costco with all the regular facilities. There is a big parking lot, but sometimes, you may have hard time finding a spot. Costco always serve good quality products with reasonable prices and that's why we like it. The staffs were nice when we were there. It was very busy with a huge lineup. I would definitely recommend this place.
I just placed an order online via the Photo Center and was quite disgusted to find orders are not being delivered to this location (likely because of COVID restrictions) and thus your customers who are living in this area are charged to have products delivered to their homes. This is both inconvenient as in this day and age, who can guarantee they will be home at the time of delivery as well as being punitive for those customers living in areas where through no fault of their own you're not providing full service. I'm quite sure during these times, as you are permitted to be open when many small businesses have been forced to close, you are making record profits. You might want to think of how you can use some of those profits to ensure all your customers are being treated equally.
Driving in and out from the main road - Quessway can get a bit hectic during rush hour, and the gas pump tends to be a 15 min wait on avg. so be sure to park and turn off the vehicle. The store selection is as you would expect for a Costco with the general layout floor plan. Cashiers move quickly enough and the pharmacy tends to be overworked so drop of prescriptions early then shop.
I tried to enter the store with my wife as we can fill the cart faster and my wife can't push the large cart since she is small. I was told only one person per household as this is alberta health rules... I just hate when employees will lie to try and make a point, Alberta health is not only allowing 1 member in the store so that is a lie. They are allowing 15% of stores fire code. I am going to start shopping more canadian companies, wholesale club for me, please anyone reading this review cancel your costco membership its not worth it. Products are not so cheap lots of stores have a cheaper price. You also need to wait in line at the checkout your time is worth so much just go to a smaller store like sobeys and you won't need to wait. Costco is one of the only companies making money during covid19. I never understood closing other businesses because they don't sell groceries but costco was allowed to stay open and still sell non essential items in March. I will not go to Costco any longer I gave my membership back its time to support more local businesses. Costco needs to get out of Canada.
I absolutely love Costco the bulk items are amazing and I love the middle of the store it's all good quality clothing and housewares for such a good price. I can't recommend this to everyone to has 2+ kids or just a big household.
Great store very clean and organized. On a holiday weekend it was so quiet!!! Also go great deal on last years luggage, 3 piece lightweight hard case for $139.97. Not many left.
Nice place, but packed inside. I was really surprised, because of government restrictions during covid time. Need to control the entrance urgently.
I dropped into this location hoping to get an oil change and tire rotation for my vehicle. Surprise, surprise, they don’t offer anything but tire work. So, Plan B was invoked and tire rotation it is! Jeff O. in the Tire Centre explained that it was a 2 hour wait; I have lots of time on my hands at the moment. He queued me/my vehicle up but also took the time to update my online customer file. Apparently, 3 other previously owned vehicles were still on file. Deleted! After inquiring about all-weather tires and their quality, performance, and pricing, Jeff relayed the very positive customer experience/feedback and the fact that I would save over $200 for four tires compared to what was now installed. The kicker was that tire tread life expectancy was 100,000 km. Amazing information! I said he sold me...on my next tire purchase. That’s five-star customer service! During my wait I toured the store.
Wont shop here agian they sell bad food. I bought 3 food items 2 were bad. I bought lamb chops sunday and we wanted them for monday. We opened them and they smelled like an outhouse. Southsude Costco exchanged. I got 2 conatainers of raspberries had some monday. They tasted a bit funny. I ended uo with a gut ache. Couple days later both containers were full of mold.
Second time using Costco for frames and lenses. Had a slight issue with my varifocals. Gary did a stellar job again ! Made a slight adjustment and all is great !!
Costco is a very good place to get brand name stuff at a good price. We like it’s meats, vegetables, jewellery, and everything... I sometimes find great books and home decorative items there as well. They do good weekly or biweekly sales on random items whether in the their flyer or not. Their return policy is amazing. The kids like to eat there. We shop there on regular basis.
The guy putting my groceries in the box was really nice, couldn't see his name but 5 stars to him and 4 for Costco. I didn't see anyone sanitizing anything and the guy out front wasn't asking anyone to use sanitizer.
I went to Costco at Yellowhead Trail. Was very busy. I misplaced my Costco Mastercard. I was panicking as I was holding up the line. Tiarra entertained me while I searched for my card which I had tucked on the outside of my card wallet just do I didn’t have trouble finding it???? Great job Tiarra
This is for Costco shepherds pie. Good fresh tasting for a good price. Quick to heat and serve. ????????
Ample parking. Friendly, hrlpful staff. Clean washroom. Covid protocols in place but could b more measures in place. Eg I personally I believe the belts should b wiped down after each customer especially if there has been package leakage. Merchandise in items not on lockdown kinda limited in variety.
So upset with a supposed "Greeter" Mildred, who yelled at my daughter saying she forgot to show her card when she went back out to get a cart, she was with my husband (and she seen them upon entering with his card) so she went to go get our card to show her and she was yelling at her and giving attitude saying "I seen it I seen it this is just my job" well then freaking act like it, we pay good money for our membership and expect exlemplary service. Unacceptable, will not be coming back to THIS Costco.
Busy with many check-outs but long line ups. Good array of products from car tires with service bays to a Bakery area. Pharmacy to cold areas for milk and eggs. Fresh veg. & fruit in larger quantities. Cereals to condiments in large sizes. Free food and drink samples on most days. Large Appliances
Associate were friendly and helpful.
Love costco! Has so many great stuff and very free with returns! Also many items that are very good quality!
Tha best...we in Sudbury are so fortunate to have this business in our city.
This Costco has one of the fastest food lines in the area, the store is almost always very clean and the customer service has been fast and to the point in all of my experiences, except for the tire centre. I do understand that they're very busy so I can't, in good conscience, let that be the only reason for my review to dip below 5 stars. Great work Costco Team. Keep it up!
Little lineup, ensured proper social distancing.
Fantastic location with friendly staff and good deals. I go there almost daily to get groceries, gas and BBQ propane. I trust them with car service as well, like oil changes and new tires. Place can get really busy over the weekends.
This is the place to shop. Great in store selection of TV's, dishwashers, glassware, clothing and furniture. If one needs more choices then there is always Costco.ca. We also do 90% of our food shopping here as well. We also use the Pharmacy, Optical and Tire departments as well. Being part of the Membership just makes sense. We are able to have access to the discounts and we get money back at the end of the year which pays for our annual Membership.
Being a huge chain of stores, it offers a great variety of items which one can't find under one roof elsewhere. However, the management needs to be cognizant of staff (refresher) training to be ongoing- as some staff seems to he lacking commitment for high customer service.
Waited a few minutes to get in (its the year of the koof, what can you expect?) but there were no carts meaning I did have to go outside to find one and wait in line to get in again... not ideal especially in -30. However I can't get too mad seeing as no one puts carts where they belong meaning the staff have to trek everywhere to collect them, making it difficult to ensure there's enough inside at all times. Other than that, they had 98% of what I was looking for and the checkout was well organized. Hotdog at the end made it all worth it
Terrible experience with TIRE CENTRE customer service. Tried to get winter tires put on, multiple calls with different information about appointments etc., multiple wasted trips. Finally got an appointment but they didn't put the tires on, and the person at reception could not explain why. All this wasted time is not worth the savings. I'm put off buying new tires here because I don't want to deal with this tire centre again. Otherwise this is a great Costco.
Great for certain items. They have a large selection of all sorts of things. Great for back to school supplies.
Checkout is slower than in big cities & weekend shoppers tend to meander, so avoid weekends if you are a "power-shopper". Excellent service, quality products, good value/money from the store. Independents vary in quality.
The employees at the front didn't treat nice.
recently bought pepsi from here. all Cans in the package were flat upon opening them. drank some before realizing this and got an upset stomach. even vomited a couple times from it a few hours later. Should really watch their inventory closer.
The fuel savings alone are amazing and the hotdog and pop for $1.50 it's pretty good to. Looking forward to Black Friday sales starting right away
Costco is the best price for the products they sell and has the best return policy if there is a problem. You do need a membership to shop here though. I have been shopping here for years and have always enjoyed the experience. The store is well lit and clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. The products and food are always of the best quality. The only thing I don’t like about Costco is the parking, hard to find a spot and exiting is never easy
As with all Costco outlets in the GTA, they offer gasoline at excellent prices. The problem is that the queue is always so long that I don't bother to wait. Parking is also a major headache in this location.
Some filipino cashiers are pestering me nonstop to upgrade even tho I already said NO and they held me for more than 30 minutes in line and it is annoying as I am in a hurry as I travel far. Very disrespectful makes the whole shopping experience not worth it and more of a problem.
The wait time isn't to crazy, some cashiers are rude but majority of the time we get a good cashier.
This location is a pretty typical Costco with all the regular services. There are not that many check out counters compared to other locations I have visited, so expect some long wait times at peak hours.
Great location that is usually stocked well! Line ups well controlled and very clean. Wish their waiting area for food court was a little larger as it’s hard to maintain distancing when slightly busy.
Keep renewing my membership because it's close to home. Irrational behaviour because I only end up going there 2 to 3 times a year. It certainly is always popular and packed with people. Went there today and people seemed to be more than willing to wait in line for 45 minutes to even get into the store (covid-19 quarantine days). I'm not sure why because Costco's prices are actually relatively high compared to alternatives like Superstore. If I'm in that area, I usually end up shopping at The Grocery People, which is a block to the east on Yellowhead Trail. TLDR: People really seem to love the place but I have no idea why when there are other alternatives.
Was there for gas bar. Busy every lanes was full.
Costco has the most delicious BBQ chicken in Toronto, and the cheapest. Also happy to see that the Jelly Belly jelly beans are back in stock. Love browsing the store - everything is fresh. Another good thing about Costco - they are very good to their employees.
I was at the location on 149 street in Edmonton and I had a pretty poor experience. I wish I could remember their names but I was at the returns desk with a couple of items, a very standard return minus there being an active coupon on the items. My girlfriend and I, who are both employees of another Costco (the return clerk and other employees were not aware), so we know what to look out for on returns because we've both worked at the membership desk, myself for 2 years. We noticed that the coupons on the items weren't removed so we were shorted about 22 dollars, really easy mistake to make, easier to fix. The employee went on break right after our return so we had to flag down another employee and when we did we were would that we'd need to wait because she was unable to do the correction (complete lie). Any mistake can be fixed by the return staff and one supervisor. We were on a tight schedule that day and I had already been standing waiting for 10 minutes so I asked the same lady that told me she couldn't do anything and she got so angry with me, she even raised her voice a little so I simply said "watch your tone" as to which she replied "No, you watch your tone". I asked to see a supervisor, the supervisor immediately started to do the correction but was visibly annoyed that she had to help. I brought up the way the previous return clerk acted and I was straight up ignored. After all if this the employee that left finally returned (about 15 minutes) and she was the only person at that desk that was decent to us, she apologized and that was that. I don't care that mistakes are made, but this was handled so poorly.
Well they have there own rules above the law i guess they harrassed me put a mask over me when I have chronic asthma but the funny thing there so stricked but yet the store is packed o social distancing at all people around everyone etc but that is ok because they are making .$$$$$ what a joke i guess they have there own law and because it's a private club lmao
Changing this to a 1 star review. Attempted to buy a watch as a gift this afternoon. It was 15 minutes before I could get staff to open the case so I could see the watch I wanted to buy for a relative's birthday. 10 minutes in line to pay. 5 minutes more at the merchandise pick-up counter before the staff advise they cant find the box. (The watch I got was the last one, the demo unit, but the box was missing in action.) That's 30 minutes now, still waiting. After another 15 minutes of searching for the mystery watch box, I was offered a different watch box from the same brand instead. I declined as this was a gift, and I wanted the warranty card and instructions (obviously). After over an hour, I had my money refunded, left with no watch, and arrived at the birthday with no gift. Leaving a loyal customer so disappointed when they were depending on you for a quick and straightforward experience has made me think twice about renewing membership. At least I walked right out past the 5 minutes lineup to get a stripe on your receipt.
This is my favorite Costco location. the staff is super helpful and courteous (in comparison to the Costco on Yorktech in Markham and the Costco on Ellesmere). The food area feels a bit crowded, but the staff is very efficient. When you're entering the Costco, I have found that it's better to enter from Plastics Avenue (unless you're getting gas). The waiting times at the Gas station are also very reasonable and people line up in a civil manner (unlike the sh**show that's the Ellesmere location)
long wait...????????????other than that Coscos is EXCELLENT ????????????
Great!! Found everything I needed and the technical support in wireless was very helpful!! I have never had a bad day at Costco!! Just wanted more money to be able to buy some great deals I seen!!! Lol ???? next time ????????
Um friendly helpful staff good food and products you usually find new food item selections and drinks, the 149st is alot better then the Clareviews Costco probably about the same as the South Side 1 but very good food and drink why do I say that The 149st is better because the soda and carbonated drinks at the Clareview one tastes flat ... however there are still some good items like the Blueberry Flatbreads that you don't seem to get at the 149 st and there usually ????Blueberries at the Clareview I know yall l????ve your antioxidants like me too and I do still like that neighbourhood still, especially noow that the new Renovated Recreational centre and library are there however they need to change the Basketball ???? floor its not the best ... could be better but its nice, I'm not complaining but I like the Regulation Courts anyway thank you for the l????ve Clareview ????and yeah holla @ me if yall got love true Love and Respect as well as lucrative amounts Finance amen thank you sincerely AkeemRWRoss "just pat yo fish Akeem" l????l ahah anyway help the Residents of Clareview I miss that neighbourhood the Kalenchuck family especially amen wonderful Neighbour's a honor to live beside them...
Generally good staff. Except for the idiots guarding the dairy fridge who expect you to leave your baby outside while grabbing a bag of milk.
I was shopping there yesterday, and the front door staff are rude, the lady who is checking for your membership cards was yelling at everybody (from behind her mask) which made her yelling muffled, and hard to understand, she was shouting at all the guests in the returns line ups, and really soured my shopping experience. Calm down lady, and stop treating us like were dogs.
Well organized Costco with an adjacent gas station. Same parking/driving issues that seem to accost all Costco's parking lots.
Had to grab a few milk, TP and a few other essentials. Total time: 15 to 20 minutes. Sample guy, very friendly, helped me find out and pointed me to the right direction. They had a forklift in the milk section. A couple staff members offered to grab us our milk and other dairy products. It may be a big box store but the people that work there make it a great place to shop. Been a long time member, no real complaints except maybe when they move my favorite item, the chicken pot sticker, to the secondary place. On my way out, saw a anti masker trying to zip through but staff were quick to respond and he put on a mask. Very good job to the staff at Costco. Always good experience or better. Costco on Yellowhead, highly recommended.
Always find good deals, usually more than I need! I find the produce and meat to be much better quality than other chain grocery stores. Don't forget your membership card. Stop by the Cafe for lunch or pick up a pizza for a quick dinner. Definitely a great deal!
This location is like any other costco location, always very busy, parking lot full. Line ups to get in, check out and get out.
Costco Sudbury is always busy. The parking lot was poorly designed and the result is that shoppers literally spill out onto the road when they are exiting with all their stuff. The propane fill area is also poorly located and causes congestion in the lot when people drive their cars up to fill up their tanks. No complaints with the actual store though! Employees are friendly, returns are easy, product is well stocked and easy to access and cashing out is relatively quick. I have had good experiences with the optical department and pharmacy.
beware of GALA APPLE!!! last couple of weeks i got very bad gala apple,, outside its luks so fresh,,,
I’m an avid Costco shopper. However, the Sudbury location has terrible parking. Safety is not paramount when exiting the plaza. Though, this may be a RioCan issue. That being said, Costco does have input when they built this location. Im happy they finally offer self checkout.
For a busy parking lot store was surprisingly easy to navigate. Also there were none of the annoying free sample booths set up that create mayhem in the aisles. Store had most of the products I was looking for. Checkout was very quick.
You can find many really good stuff there
Great location! They have done a good job with their covid controls. Other shoppers were curtious practicing patience while physical distancing ourselves. Got our groceries and exited.
This place is packed in the weekend... They might have the best selection of products in TO as it's a bigger warehouse .. but you're going to need to fight the crowds on the weekends and evenings. Try to hit it up on the weekdays if you can!
Great store but they always missing stuff that other costco have, I would use 91 location instead
This Costco is always clean, organized, and staff are super friendly. Tire Center is also great and staff and very knowledgable. They do their best to ensure the checkouts move quickly and open all lanes when it is busy. My favourite Costco in Edmonton.
It's a Costco. The service is excellent and the store is kept well. Yes, the parking lot is a bit of a pain but the extra time you spend in the parking lot is more than made up for by the quick service through the checkout. Don't skip the clothing section ... the prices and brands make an occasional visit well worth your while.
Not the same without the free samples but still good very busy at times (almost all the time)
I enjoy being able to get all the things I need in one place!, Super friendly and helpful staff, these are two reasons I come back.
Clean Store Friendly stop very helpful clean restrooms
Never really had a bad experience at Costco until moving to this area. Staff are rude, make you feel put out when asking for assistance and overall just do not provide a typical Costco experience. Bad experiences every visit, told manager I will be taking my business to a different location his reply? Gosh, sorry.
Excellent customer service, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Great prices and amazing products. Wish we had a Costco Gas Station (there is room at the corner of both intersections if they blast some rock!) Parking can be a bit crazy on weekends.
The store itself is okay, but there is usually very long lines. I don't know if it's just this Costco, but I've never had a shopping experience full of such rude and entitled people. The first time I ever went here an old man pushed into me with his cart and called me stupid for standing slightly outside of the check out line.
The line for gasoline is always busy. But there's a reason we always come back.
Love this branch. They have a wide selection of products, produce are always fresh, it’s clean, the staff are friendly and ready to help. Lines can seem long but they go by pretty quickly. Thumbs up. Keep up the good work.
Very good customer-service. Since my first registration here, I've never experienced bad service here ????. Nice staff's too
I go regularly for various things. It's practical, economical, and the products are high quality. Also the staff are nice. It's a nice vibe, and I like shopping there, knowing that their staff are treated well and have benefits, unlike places.like Walmart.
Better selection than most Costco’s. Very fast checkout.
Big nice location Wait at the gas station is too long.
One cashier in particular had the worst customer service I've ever seen, and I ended up extremely upset. Please train your cashiers on how to treat customers. I know customers can be frustrating (I've worked as a cashier before), but yelling at customers when they're confused and need a moment to collect themselves is not okay. Because of this interaction it ruined my otherwise very pleasant shopping experience.
Always crazy busy on the weekends however every cash register is almost always open and the cashier's and employees assisting are fast and efficient at getting people cashed out as soon as possible. Not having to wait long in a line up to purchase only a few things makes for a much more better shopping experience, especially when their is a high volume of people.
This was the best Costco I have been to in Toronto.
Great prices on bulk shopping, nothing beats Costco.
Want huge amounts of TP head to Costco they got you covered
Always an adventure to visit this store. Parking lot is busy but the parking space itself is always roomy. The store is always clean and busy with customers. Even on busy days the line-ups at the cash register move along at a pretty good pace. Staff seem to be happy working there and are willing to always help out. They make you feel very comfortable.
My favorite place for groceries and household items ( and roses, of course:) for last 20+ years. Some items you cannot find anymore but still - many super fresh and high-quality products.
Great selection, great prices. Most of the pharmacy staff is wonderful. I do find that customer service outside of the pharmacy department is poor, especially compared to other Costco's. I suggest if you need assistance to head straight to the customer service desk, or finding a manager, instead of speaking to floor staff.
Usually a great place, but I'm recommending that if you or a loved one are at risk for Covid-19, then I advise ordering online if you can. Needed meds for a loved one, and the place was really busy, a few of the staff were not wearing a mask properly, and the social distancing was inconsistent. Order online if you can.
This is my default Costco because of vacinity. Great prices. Great selection. AMAZING ROASTED CHICKEN OMG! But... oh is the parking every difficult here. It is always packed, like overflowing, and customers are constantly blocking traffic to get to their vehicles. I like stocking up on all my household items I know I will be using in advance. Lots of snacks for our pantry, both for my husband and I, and things for our daughters. If you need a Costco in this area, this is the place to go, just be prepared for that parking lot.
Good experience with social distancing upon entering, masks were handed out if you did not have one. Had what I needed & more as it always results when you shop at Costco.
Tuesday April the 13th around 4pm cash register near eat to the pharmacy .. two cashiers the combinations of the Caucasian and the African Canadian, the Caucasian cashier was rude when I tried to ask her to do something.. they don’t even practice social distancing themselves and she is a hypocrites the two combo was super close the whole time they were working together in the same Register.. the Caucasian lady in the entrance also was rude .. they lack basic customer service skill and human interaction skill.. when u ask someone to do something you say please and thank you which they never said anything of.. I’ll learn their names next times I visit the store so i can complain properly to their manager..they were both seemingly racists and rude.
Got what we were looking for in a timely fashion. Cash lone was fast and efficient.
Typical costco however during covid times the lineups went all the way around the building easily making it a 30+min wait but if you're a healthcare worker they will allow you to bypass (but just you only no other family members or partner). Easy access by public transit to either Pape or Broadview station. Ample spots outside to eat spread out from others. Although at times I find this location is often out of stock on popular snacks or produce - such as ground beef, romaine lettuce, or certain chips (although lots of other alternatives). Sometimes the produce have mold but that's usual in most grocery stores just gotta keep a look out (I've seen mold on clementines and lettuce). Other than that staff are great as expected in Costco.
Better to come here than the other costco near us. Just improve the queue during rush hours and available products.
Yelling at your costumers when trying to close down an aisles is not ideal. Another thing, stop harassing customers. We wouldn’t come inside your store if we didn’t have a membership.
Good location. Good layout. Wish they would stock grandmother's tarts as before. I like that they have the big flat orange carts since I buy alot for my business. Other locations don't.
Great place, great prices. Terrible parking, terrible location to get in and out of. Parking lot is often so packed that it's a bit dangerous, especially with kids. Cashes have big line ups but are quick so it's fine. Only real frustrating thing about the store itself is the lack of staff signing off on people leaving, longest line to prove that you did already pay. A better layout would prevent this need.
Costco now carries korean hair shampoo, daeng gi meo ri (댕기머리) !!!! ???????????????? 780 ml x3
Not for the fainthearted. I sometimes wonder if this warehouse environment, with little organisation, poor displays, or any sense of calm, is worth saving the few extra dollars for. Ultimately, to each their own. Personally, would not call it a pleasant 'experience', even if it makes financial sense. Perhaps this face of consumerism is a scary one.
Never going back now that they refuse Mask Exemptions for medical reasons. Our Membership is canceled and unless the policy changes, we won't be returning. We will shop where we are our Human Rights are upheld. Businesses CANNOT refuse service to those with medical exemptions.
Well maintained store, helpful staff
Nice place and excellent customer service, gas price always cheep.
Great for bulk buys! Propane is way cheaper here than any other tank fillers! They now have a liquor store as well, no membership requirements for it either.
I waited for 7 minutes to buy a drink from the food court. I was the first customer and people kept piling up behind me. The lady working the cashier at 11:20 on Tuesday ignored all of us, and continued to do the mobil kiosk orders. Someone behind me asked when she was going to help the people with cash and she replied rudely “I’ll get to you.” Every mobil order came in after the time I was waiting. Horrible customer service. I will never stop to get food again. All I wanted was a drink after shopping and spending money in your store for over an hour. Very disappointing.
Picked up some beautiful and cheap 9" bonsai trees. Hope they'll last.
This location may look trashy or besmirched on the outside, but don’t get fooled by these outward appearances: they have some of the most unique (and exclusive) items for a wholesaler. Take these brand new Fjällräven Kånken backpacks, for example, going for 25% less than their retail price of $100. What is more, this location’s stock of popular apparel is healthier than many other Costco warehouses in the GTA, so you can easily find your size without trouble. To add to that, there were also no line-ups to get into the store this Christmas Eve, during the pandemic. Needless to say, then, this warehouse has some real gems you will really want, and, actually be able to get your hands on!
You can laugh about how you walk in just for eggs and come out with $200 worth of candies, novels, gardening gloves, and that new gas stand alone fire pit for your non existent back yard. But really... it's not too far off if you're left unchecked in a Costco. This particular Costco is one of the better ones in GTA. Not only because they are staffed to handle the volumes (most of the times) but their product offering is actually better than other ones nearby. The Costco gas station here is a mess (another review) but the store itself isn't as terrible as there is 3 entrances to get in and out (apparently there was a 3rd I didnt even know about). Parking is plentiful though on a Saturday afternoon, you think you're parking for a Leafs game. Inside the store, it's well organized, constantly clean, and aisle ways SHOULD be big enough. But I'm going to be honest and say that there are so many terrible shoppers that randomly stop in the aisle just cause they can't figure out how to move off to the side. It's annoying and just part of shopping at Costco. I wish people would be more considerate or conscious of what they're doing. As for the items here, you can find everything from sports equipment to coffee beans to Kinder eggs to Organic Olive oil to tires. There are some standard items you have month over month (clothes, most dairy products, most fruits, cookware... etc) but the seasonal stuff is the fun section. Spring and Summer brings out the garden section, patio furniture, summer focused sports equipment, bikes, and a lot more bbq season items. Winter time brings on ALLLL the toys (like 3 aisle worth) for Christmas and tons of candies for stockings and office gifts. I find more premium items here like better cheeses (more imported and award winning ones), premium make up (Guerlain and Stila items can be found), more variety of better cooking sauces and condiments (registered olive oils from Spain or Italy), better seasonal goodies (imported European chocolates vs the conventional sugary commercial ones).... the list goes on. I also find the expiry dates are further out here... maybe it's cause they go through their stock faster. Not sure but I've never hit the expiry date on anything I've bought from here. Learning to shop the best at Costco took me a bit of time but now I do make up my annual fees 4 times over. I look for seasonal clearance savings to double up on the savings... my biggest savings was over $1000 retail for a marble counter vanity for a bathroom reno. Even if I'm buying greek yogurt... I would buy a package of 3 Liberte yogurt for only $5.59. If you go to Loblaws, its $5 for one. There's massive savings if you're smart about it. Two biggest tips on saving even more than you would ... Look for the clearance items and wait for seasonal sales half way through the season. They're the ones that end in $X.97. That means that item is not going to be restocked and ready to clear out fast. Also, if you are not desperate to buy something seasonal ... try to wait till half the season is over. You can find prices drop by at least 20% if not more. I got a tennis racket for $24.97 and it retails for $80. I also got a few high end baking sheets for only $19.97 for 3 and it retails for $18 for 1! Patience is a virtue here! With everything I need, I've managed to change most of my shopping to Costco and saved considerable amount over my old shopping at Loblaws, Superstore, and any other spots in the GTA West. To me, I'd gladly pay the $120 executive fee to save easily over $150 just in the year end rebate ... thats not including the normal $10 to $20 I save each week.
This is the tangerine I bought at your store. I found this while I was eating...What is this? Is it a bug or a bug egg...? Let me know. I'm panicking right now.
Ground beef has gone bad. Very disappointed with ground beef pack at Costco. Bad meet was covered with fresh one and you only realize when you get home and start to use it. This is terrible and unacceptable. I returned it immediately and will not buy ground beef anymore here.
Costco is pretty good if you're wanting to buy in bulk. But I find this place to be way too busy for my liking. But if you don't mind the crowds and a long wait in line it is apparently a decent way to save money in a long term
I use gas and the store regularly. Gas station is always the best in terms of pricing. For other things, I have found that the prices are comparatively similar (if not too less) to prices at any other big superstores. There isn't too big a difference.
Very disappointed in Pharmacy as I have been a client there for many years. I get a call from Pharmacy saying my script is ready, a script I have frequently picked up there had a Huge mistake on Their part. Waited and then shopped and came back and They still made Me Wait!!! Left the store telling clerk I would make another Trip from downtown T.O. to push up on another Day. Very Disappointed.
Great store but often gets really busy, great gas prices as well.
Typical Costco. Seems to have a lot of inventory issues, but, they always seem to have brisket!
I mean it’s a Costco. Same as any other Costco really - although slightly smaller than others (I think). Took a star off cuz I went to buy some Kirkland cold brew and no one knew if they had any. Otherwise it’s pretty consistent with other Costco’s in the GTA I’ve been too plus the fact it has a gas station that’s consistently $0.10 cheaper than most gas station places.
One of the better locations when it comes to stock. Also has a gas station which is a plus. When it's busy, go to Dixie!
I got my shellving unit finally, can't wait to put it to use!
Have gone here many times. Usually it is always busy so understand that before coming for a quick shopping visit. Also sometimes selection will change, so that items previously carried may not continue to be there every time. Otherwise prices are usually good for the amount you get.
Hard to see what is in stock but always great to shop here and checkout is fast
Ugh this places' parking lot is a disaster and the flaw is structural, with their decision to run the gas station lineup without correctly blocking off the lanes so people are frantically lining up into the street. Inside it's pretty standard for a Costco, usually easy to navigate. The best thing is their offering of kimchi. If they didn't have that I would probably go to another costco or no Costco.
Decent Costco. Clean, well stocked. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the hyper-agressive supervisors that try to upsell you on the premium membership. Declined literally 5 times and he still kept going. The cashier actually had to tell him …
best dog and fries in Sudbury. large all beef dog and a large pop, STILL only 1.50$ price hasnt changed.
Very unprofessional staff controlling the front entrance. New rules and guidelines are a joke as it doesn’t make sense to only allow one person per card. A normal household is usually a couple... 2 people... Wife and I needed a new battery for the car and the card is in her name. Wouldn’t allow me to enter to grab the new battery. Therefore she couldn’t find the right one and I had to buy it from elsewhere... not impressed. When my wife asked a staff member for help they didn’t help her find it. Asked to speak with management but the person running the front (Tobey) wouldn’t call them for me. Overall the staff running the front desk and customer service were difficult to talk to and flat out rude. 2 people from every household should be allowed to enter. Not fair to seniors who need the extra hand, women who can’t lift heavy objects. Costco please fix your ridiculous new rules.
Lots of good deals. Get a membership, go with a friend, etc.
It's very busy store lots of variety lots of different items
Huge line ups when I got to the til to pay. However, management saw them and quickly opened more cashiers. Thus alleviating my stress and many other shoppers. One more reason to be a member. Other stores wont react that quickly or care if customers debate walking away from a shopping cart full of necessary groceries. THANK YOU COSTCO!!
Typically the food is packaged in larger sizes than I would prefer. For example on a recent visit I found that if I wanted oranges I had to buy 8 lb. and the cost was $10 which is equivalent to $1.25 a pound. Yet at my local Food Basics around the same time I bought oranges for $1 a pound where I could choose my oranges and buy whatever quantity I wanted. I do like the satisfaction guarantee on durables. I bought a laptop computer and had issues with it and returned it. The return period was long enough for me to decide that I did not want that particular laptop. I ended up buying a different laptop at Best Buy because Costco did not carry it. I bought a luggage set of two cases for $100 and so far they seems to be of good quality and look good. My mother bought hearing aids and received good value for the money and good service.
Variety offered Service with knowledgeable staff
Great store but busy at times. Go early or just before closing. You'll have fun. Lol
I love Costco ! There are always great deals!
My favorite Costco even if it's hard to find parking. There is always plenty in stock. And though the lines can be long you get through fairly quickly. Love the roasted chickens and they are so inexpensive. They do samples a lot which is a great way to learn about new things. I love Costco.
Fantabulous place to shop. Save me lots of money. Compared to other stores Costco's amazing products and service can't be beat. Ride or die with Costco 100%
Beware of the mannerless woman working in the optical section. I recently went there to tighten a loose screw in my glasses (which took around 2 minutes with great service the last time I went) and I was shocked with the horrendous service I received. The optics section is filled with great, hardworking employees all except for one woman with long auburn hair and thick black glasses . When I made my inquiry about the loose screw, the worker instantly said that she’d try to tighten it but that she isn’t responsible if something happens to the glasses. I found this very peculiar since other workers have done this before in a few minutes and even cleaned my lenses after, all with a very positive attitude. When I held out my glasses, she rudely asked me to place them on a counter (strange). She demonstratively retrieved a tissue and picked up my glasses off of the counter, careful not to touch them with her hands. She did this multiple times with almost a disgusted expression. I found this fairly offensive and humiliating. She then told me to come back in ten minutes , and when I did, she did the same tissue waving spectacle and handed the tissue wrapped glasses back to me. The amount of time she spent handling my glasses with the tissue could have been used to fix the damn screw in the glasses. I am truly appalled that Costco would hire such a rude and sociopathic person. This has been my go to location for seven years and I am very disappointed!
It's Costco and it's awesome. Tasty hotdogs.
One stop shop, they have cloths, food, etc. Staff are super friendly and they go out of their way to help.
You feel you are at home and Costco is Costco anywhere. You don't need to search , you know where and how much.
Every other Costco is keeping there carts inside, and washing them down before giving them to you; for some reason this Costco is making you grab a cart outside (which I wasn't aware of until I was already inside), and then wiping them down after you've already moved it 20 or 30 feet. What's the point in even wiping them down at that time? Luckily I was only going for a couple items and could get away, uncomfortably, without a cart. You think Costco would have the same policy at every store, especially something as important as wiping down the carts before the customer touches them.
I hate memberships, but I guess Costco's is worth it. You make the membership fee back on your first trip with what you save. Costco is a magnificent business, but only if you can stand the miserable crowds inside. By far the best thing about our dear Costco is the price of the gas which is always the best in town. Come first thing in the morning though because the wait in line is murder.
Enjoyed my experience at this store. Great service and very helpful staff. Keep up the good work!
They would not let me enter to see the store without buying a membership but if i bought one my sister could come in with me. Prices are higher than your sale prices at your nearest grocery store. 2 kg of pecans was $21 I paid 9 for 1kg bag . Tuna was 11.99 for a pack of 8 . I bought 8 tins at Wal-Mart for 87 cents each. Maybe if I lived close to a Costco I would get the membership to be able to go more often in order to catch specials but i don't think the savings would be enough to give the membership card the value. The store closest to me is a 300 km drive so gas and time also a factor
I wanted to share my gratitude to the Costco team at this location. Yesterday while I was shopping, I had a fainting spell and the staff rushed to help without any hesitation. Jane, in particular, sat next to me and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, safety, and recovery. Brought me water, a cold cloth, cracked jokes to cheer me up, etc. It was the end of her shift and she still stayed with me until paramedics came and made sure I was ok until the end. It was a scary experience but the staff made me feel so safe and comfortable and I couldn’t thank them enough.
Love Costco! Good selection. Helpful staff! Fast efficient service at checkout!
Great place for grocery and home stuff. Would love if they can bring halal fresh lamb and halal chicken.
Great value store. Missing lately hardly any tools, no work parkas and none trusted insulated work gloves. Parking lot could have improvements like 2 exit lanes and a middle lane to assist with turning. Sure would great to have Costco to add a Gasbar at this Northern Ontario location.
Been going here for a long time and if you only go to this Costco, you don't realize how bad it is compared to every other one. Been told a couple times and heard a couple more to other people when there's no shopping carts anywhere around the entrance, "well there's plenty you can find in the parking lot!" And this is a regular occurrence, anytime I've come that's not in the morning, the parking lot is full of carts and there's none at the entrance. They also keep a minimum amount of tills open, been there lined up halfway down the aisle to check out, there's only 3 tills open but they have extra people going through the lines while people wait trying to upsell memberships. I work a 5 minute walk from this store and will go any distance out of my way to go to a different Costco. It's that bad here.
I can belive than water filters are not allowed for sell, but a massage machine yes. By the way, same day I bought in superstore.
Product offering is reduced to mainly groceries as per Covid requirements. I attended the store about 10:00am. The store wasn't busy and lines moved quickly.
I know the Garden Centre employees do not work for Costco but, still I'd like to mention how professional, knowledgeable and helpful the Managers are of the Garden Centre! Thank you very much, it is not easy working outside in the heat or rain and not to mention with a mask on during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Simply put, EVERYTHING! Love the variety, prices, huge bulk packaging, and most things are priced to buy.
As usual spent more than I intended to! But great deals so can't complain!
Staff is inconsiderate when boxing and handling your purchase. They focus to much on items per hr rather than customer service. 70lbs of meat in a pepper flat? How the f#*k am I suppose to lift that out of the cart and into my car?
We have been to Costco for numerous times to get Lyso wipes and it is often out of stock. They keep saying please wait for next shipment.
Always fun to shop at Costco. This particular one has shorter lines compared to others. No liquor store at this location however.
You can get latest stuff of brand new clothes and shoes. If other costco locations are out of stock then check here for the same thing.
This Costco consistently disappoints me. It not kept clean, the management is obviously lacking. This is the third time I’ve come here and “all the condiments” are gone. No onions, no jalapeños, no sauerkraut. Nothing. They can’t pick up onion off the shelf and chop them up? Will never come back to this Costco after being repeatedly disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend this Costco to anyone. If I could give this Costco a negative rating I would. -5/10
Costco is Costco, so I will compare this to other Costco's I have been to. I find the staff to be great but the other shoppers I find are extra rude and extra rammy. I prefer the dundas and Dixie location myself.
Helpful staff, thank you Costco.
Love this Costco, really friendly and helpful staff. Things are clean and organized, I've been to other Costco and sometimes, that's not the case. This is definitely my go to Costco.
Wow so rude! The only person who was polite was the greeter. All other clerks were so rude.
Love Costco. They were out of stock of most vegetables in the cooler but I guess that is due to Covid
Gas bar had no wait time. Store was well stocked. Staff very helpful. Cashier courteous. Good experience.
Costco is a great place to shop in bulk . It can get busy but the sample stations make it all worth it. Shelves always organized and sale items never run out. Keep it up
Livable on a Saturday compared to others in the city; less insanity. This has been our primary Costco for 20 years. Mid week is the best time to go in terms of crazy shoppers leaving carts in isles, parking and getting gas. If you currently require pre-medication for your Costco trip, drive a bit further for the Etobicoke experience and skip the meds.
Costco wholesale had everything you want. Get all your groceries at great prices from here and head out and get tires for your car. This place never seizes to amaze. The shopping experience here is unparalleled.
It is funny when they say they will do price adjustments yet you show them the same item that another costco in the city is selling it for 1/2 the price they will refuse to so and say each store manager can set their own price. Definitely will not trust them when they say we do price adjustment
Just left Costco. At the cash a second employee was helping the cashier to load my shopping cart. She took the items that had been scanned and put them in a different cart, not the one I had taken from the front of the store that had been sanitized when I came in. When I told her she had given me a different unsanitized shopping buggy, she told me it had been sanitized at the front before. I saw her take it from the person before me and she had NOT sanitized it before putting my items in. Clearly, it seems Costco Health and Safety needs to teach their staff the importance of sanitizing and How to sanitize. Bring Lysol wipes!
God I love Costco! Got my hearing aids from Costco. Great value. At least 40% less expensive than most hearing aids in the market. Also got an autumn shell jacket that really keeps out the wind and great pair of thick socks. Great selection in goods. Will be a lifelong member.
Staff very efficient. Store has all items i want & need. Gas bar attendants very helpful when needed
Went to this Costco for an eye exam. The doctor was late seeing us (my husband and I each had an appointment), but when we got in he was quick and friendly. Then I went to pick a pair of glasses and the optical person helped me pick the right size and shape glasses, and a student did all the measurements. Between my husband and I, from the time our appointments should have started to the time of purchase was 2.5 hours. But good customer service and satisfaction. Our glasses will be ready in about a week!!!!
Great selection of different items that I don't see in my home Mississauga stores.
The vaccine staff were good but the warehouse staff were unbelievably rude and miserable I will never go back
Good selection of all those items that you want to buy in huge quantities and have space in the pantry.
Awesome location but like most Costco's it is always packed. There is usually a line before it even opens. It would be nice to have more pregnancy parking or parking for families with small children close to entrance
This is Costco, need I say more? Very well stocked store, always well organized. Has the same selection as down south. Products are usually of good quality. Awesome return policy.
All our grocery is done at Costco's, need I say anything more. Though it would be nice if there would be new additions regularly.
Busy location, they should install a wrong way or no entrance sign between costco going to 149 st , when its dark with snowfall +traffic it's easy to confuse this as an exit. ( no sign at all anywhere around)
I love this place I go here at least once a week sometimes twice. I buy 90% of my food here. And always buy other items too. Always make the mistake and buy too much but it goes to good use. The food court is good too. The entire huge store is always clean spotless and just a pleasure to shop at kind of atmosphere. It gets extremly insane busy on weekends. Quality of products is simply fantastic Never an issue with any product that i purchased here. I think once i returned a pants because i have bought the wrong size. The only question was "Can i get your membership card please" Customer service is fantastic. I know a lady there her name is Amy and i think her husband works there too She is lovely always smiles and says hi to me and my daughter when she sees us. Such of wonderful place. The tire center is great too i did my research on the winter tire i wanted i got there told them my tire size and brand i wanted i got a call in a few days to come in for the install. They use synthetic oil for oil change at such of low price that other oilchange places should just not exist caugh caugh... Once i forgot a grilled chicken at the bottom of my shopping cart i drove back the shopping cart was gone... I went in and talked to the first person i found his name was Connor if i remeber correctly. After i explained him what happened the first thing he said ok let me go grab you another one... I was like wow.. I call that superb customer service. One thing need to be addressed: The cashiers work extremly hard and fast I think they have like a number of transaction that they have to do in their shift so sometimes i can see the rush of asking for membership card while the previous customers receipt still printing kind of thing Some cashiers are rushier than others but i see they are like machines so fast and tryig to get u out quick. Its a good thing and also a bad thing. I have been in retail for about 20 years so i notice a lot of little things that other people do not. Anyway my point is please keep the flow fast but payattention to how you do it some people will get offended as they trying to put their things into their buggy but the other customers purchases are comming over their items. Im a costcoholic hahah
This Costco in Etobicoke is the best in GTA. The staff is very friendly and nice. The warehouse itself is really big and it doesn’t get too busy like the locations in Mississauga. The manager here is doing a wonderful job keeping the warehouse safe, stocked and customers happy. Thank you
It was a bit disappointing visit. Some of the items on promotion were not available. Over all we found store a bit disorganized and lots of items had no price tags/posted. Steeple products in different areas then usual. Even asking staff did not always help.
Nice staff,prices ain’t bad either
I like going to that store only issue is you can't leave without spending at least minimum $200, other than that it's pretty good
It was good BUT when we cashed out the guy put way to many heavy things in a box and when we got home and took it out of the cab the bottom fell out. More boxes to keep the weight down would be nice
They have a great selection of everything. Starting Monday they will have some great sales. One of the items is the Van Houtte K cups. Too bad I needed some now but they will honour my purchase on Monday that I made this week. Great service! They always have almost every till open and so the lines go fast.
Not very clean. Also seems like a lot of damaged items, the line up for returns are right out the door. I got excited I thought the Beatles were coming back then saw it was just people returning things. Cashiers seem friendly, and usually find employees around which is great. Lots of hard to find items.
Love Costco but hate the way the way groceries are shoved through the cash desk at warp speed. Try it when you are on your own, your buggy is full to bursting and your stuff is being shoved along a short counter!! You need a friend with an extra cart at the end of the line in order to ensure your purchases aren't shoved in just any old way. Wake up Costco.....food is expensive wherever we buy it. I'd like to get it home in one piece, not squashed.
Propane isn't really a good deal. $16.94 for a 20lb tank. Won't make that mistake again. Almost double what it cost last time at another location that refilled by weight.
Today I was at Costco in Sudbury. I bought glasses. When I asked for some info I was very disappointed. The salesclerk that served me was not helpful at all. I asked questions with no response. She was very cold. I love Costco and will not stop shopping there because of one bad experience. December 20, 2019.
It's always clean and brightly lit here. The shelves are usually very well stocked. I would reccomend going on a weekday morning, as it tends to get extremely busy in the afternoons and on weekends it's just bonkers inside. That said, the …
Love to shop there! For long time!! Again, anything is there! Food, goods, toys, anything! Also the fast food is pretty tasty, they use whatever they sell, to serve you! Pretty good! Lines move fast, parking, + gas station. Ohh, I'm there at least once a week!!
This is one of the best managed costco stores in all of the GTA, employees are generally super friendly, specially the bakery team ! I moved to Oakville and still come here to shop as the store near my house is nowhere near as nice.
Don't mind the store but there are a few very rude people that work here.
Staff are awesome and very helpful. They always take the extra step the help you. Can't get better than that.
I found an outdoor chair that reclines and has a built in table. Perfect for my deck. Folds up and doesn't take much space
Layout of the store is fantastic. Easy to use but should you require any help, always someone near by
Always busy in the afternoon, but they still have lots of parking spots. Clean and well-maintained store.
Great selection of groceries... standard and organic. Nice fresh produce and well stocked the vast majority of the time. Helpful and friendly staff who are always available and willing to point you in the right direction. Never any issues when returning items. Lots of parking available at all times. My favourite Costco out of the several that I've visited in the GTA.
Been to this wholesale shopping warehouse before many times and even this particular location. You can always find bulk or large sizes here at Costco, might not always been better value but you can always buy the biggest size there is here. Produce is usually pretty decent and fresh. Only thing bad is the line ups at the checkouts can be really long sometimes and they don't give you any bags either but you can take some of the produce trays or boxes to pack your stuff. Overall I will return when I'm in the area next time and need some stuff and I'm with some one with a membership. I do also recommend if you have a friend who is a member to check it out for yourself.
Car repair and maintenance items listed as essential! These irresponsible goons have the entire car isle closed down including car batteries. What happens in emergency situations when you can't go anywhere because your car battery is dead? I hope lawsuits follow soon.
Nice clean with everything Costco stuff there. Not crowd on Mondays :) afternoon
I love Costco, and this one is totally in line with other Costco stores. Clean and tidy warehouse, good value offers, good customer service and almost everything you possibly need in store. Gas lines here are at certain times of day way too long, and the staff is friendly and helpfull when on the floor.
Love Costco but...... they could be doing more to ensure proper social distancing throughout the store and also more hand sanitizing stations and reducing or controlling number of people in the store.Nobody seemed to be in charge at the entrance speaking to people. They should be very thankful to be open and, as such, they need to more organized and aggressive in carrying out protocalls
We need a new dishwasher so I phoned beforehand to ensure what we wanted was in stock. Employee stated that they had two available. Spent 45 minutes driving to the store only to find out that they never had any of the model that we wanted available. Complete waste of time.
Have always had a good experience here until today when I got food from the food court an 18 " pizza to be exact. And when It was ready I asked for some hot sauce and they refused saying that it is only for the wings and that you're not even able to purchase a cup separately. I found this funny as multiple times I've asked for hot sauce and never have been told that or turned down but I guess it is to hard for the old lady to simply give me a sauce for a full size pizza which I thought almost every pizza place in the city has an option to get hot sauce with it.
They did a great job with us I like to thank them
Found my food that I needed and clothing for family . Great prices . Good quality. If i return something it's usually my error . Not right size. Love your body oils and bunk section . Good price for volume. Thank you for pleasant helpful staff. Always friendly and ready to help.
My mom and I went to exchange a mirror with lights today and unfortunately realized that she had bought it with her boyfriends Costco card so we couldn't return it. That was fine but the lady was very rude to us about how she couldn't find the mirror on my moms card. Then we went to get a cooked chicken and salad for dinner. The chicken turned out to be extremely undercooked to the point that we had to cook it for 20 minutes longer in my moms air frier. The whole point of picking up a cooked chicken is so you can get home and eat it. Not too impressed. Please talk to your workers about properly cooking your chickens. Thank you.
It was a special experience going around shopping in Costco complex. The commodities are displayed so that we can choose and the choice is so great that you will find it difficult to decide upon. Those who need bulk quantities can make good use of this facility and can benefit out of this. Generally the commodities are fresh and varied that you can choose the variety which suits you and your purse.
Went to Costco on 149 St. south of the Yellowhead Trail. Renewed Basic Membership Card one year for $60. If you like Keurig Coffee you can large boxes of the pods here and save ... you do the Math. Compare prices 30 pod box with Safeway, Save On Foods, Superstore and others. Don't buy more than you need... you don't want it to get old ! And, of course you'll need to buy a Keurig type coffee maker ..
I love the staff and especially the pharmacy staff at Costco. They always ensure my well being and my families well being whenever there is questions and concerns about medication. Very knowledgeable and I made them apart of my family. Thanks
The store is great - what isn't great is their set up for parking and gas. The whole line of cars waiting for gas extends down two parking rows thus trapping all of us in our spots unable to leave. Horrible set up and super frustrating. Low rating because of that.
I always love Costco it's a beautiful beautiful shopping experience my I find the best time to go is between 4 and 6 This store also has auto service and gasoline no liquor store. That would be a nice Added Touch the location is wonderful for where me and my wife reside and the roads accessing this location are very good fast-moving even in rush hour
This Costco can get really busy, but if you go in the morning on a weekday it's not usually too bad. It's always clean and usually well stocked. Staff are very efficient and try to get you out as quick as possible. I just recommend avoiding it on weekends if you can, unless you want to be in there an hour or more.
If your going to implement a new rule that each person coming in must now have a costco card of their own please do the courtesy of emailing your members so they don't waste their time and gas.
Crazy place, shoulder to shoulder, good place to catch the delta variant. No rules, no restrictions
Doesn't quite understand self checkouts. Try to use them to avoid contact and each is staffed by it's own person who insists on doing it all for you. How about remove these people and hire a security guard to keep the anti-maskers out.
Lots of shoppers! Plastic everywhere... The new norm.
Always a great place to shop. Wish they had a different variety of desserts . When we were in the States, Costco made a delicious custard pie. Wish we had it here in Ontario. How about bringing in some Keto and Paleo items.
Greetings, I was sooooo shocked that I brought a tire in a week prior only to find out that there was still warranty left. It was for my mothers car. Got a set of 4 brand new spanking tires. My mother got an early Christmas gift from staff member Beatrice (a very cool name)????
Got what I wanted and in and out with quick friendly service.
Absolutely horrible experience. I can only imagine how financially desperate some people must be to endure shopping here just to save a few dollars on a pallet size load of high-sugar content breakfast cereals, sold right next to the car tires. Buying groceries here is equivalent to being stuck on the 401 every day. It's a symptom of a broken society.
By far, this Costco is my least favorite in the city. Went to the self check outs recently and was surprised to have a staff member scan in my purchases. I'm not sure how they are following social distancing protocols but your refused entry without a mask???? Makes zero sense. Lol Then to boot, the lady scanned the same item twice. Didn't notice until I got home. Had to go allllll the way back there to stand in the return line for 20 mins. Finally get to the return counter to be greeted with an "excuse" about how scanning an item twice could happen at a regular check out. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THIS STORE. IT HAPPENED TO ME TWICE AT THE SELF CHECK OUTS! I truely hope the new Costco on Stony Plain Road will be a better experience
It's been a long time since I was into the store. Today I got my own card. Easy to get, lady that did the paper work was very knowledgeable and informative. Great stuff
Today was my first time purchasing propane at Costco. I was truly impressed with the service. I walked up with my two tanks, placed myself in the line up. I was sure that it was going to be a long wait. That young lady was so quick and efficient, in no time I was taken care of. Came back out after I paid she spotted me and gave me my tanks.
I have been to costco's all over the GTA and no costco compares to this one. The staff and the experience while shopping at this costco does not compare. This location also has a gas station and is overall very clean and easy to shop through. Thumbs up!
I love Costco. This Costco is very clean and the staff are super helpful. For those of you who have little ones, they will let you use their first aid room for nursing or feeding etc. Love this place!
I love shopping at Costco good people
Love costco such a large number of products to buy. Very busy so don't go on the weekend its crazy. My son works there so i get him to pick items up for me.
Wait time at 3pm was less than 15 minutes. Good control of how many people are inside, allowing enough space for shopping during covid. They'll give you a mask if you dont have one, and sanitizer at entrance and exit. Great prices and a good layout.
The staff aren't friendly. When you reach the cashier, they dont ask how you are or anything; just straight up "membership card" and if you take a moment to grab your card, they hold their hand out and repeat. No patience! No smile. They dont even look your direction! Also very annoying that they dont take credit card. And they dont have bags. Overall, highly dissatisfied
Not a good layout. You could spend some time looking for what you want to purchase.
Due to covid the line is hella long, but it moves relatively quickly. There are still sampling stations which I find a bit iffy because shoppers would need to take off their mask to try the foods. The food court is still open for takeout
Parking lot is not big enough, hard to find a parking stall, difficult to leave place due to a high traffic area.
Massive membership required wholesale retail store that sells a wide range of goods including: groceries, electronics, cleaning supplies, appliances, tires, housewares, toiletries, clothing, and also has a pharmacy inside. The prices are great but the quantities are also large, so it's great for families, parties/events, and small businesses. Depending on the time of day, the lines can be very long in the store, and the gas station is very busy more often than not. Remember to pack your patience. They accept Interac debit (any) as well as MasterCard, but not Visa.
Last time it's make no sense to go to shopping hear. Price are crazy! Very disappointed. 200$ for piece of meet... it's ridiculous...
I used the fast checkout today after getting all squared up at the till & was on my way out the door I said good morning to two female employees. One of them said did you just walk through, I pulled the receipt out of my pocket and showed her. I went over to get a box then was heading over to the exit that female employee was talking with the order checker. This guy checked my order over very carefully put the slash on the bill and I was on my way then he ran back grabbed the bill out of my hand and checked the order again. The female I believe was the store manager. I will be back in the store on Monday morning to demand a apology. That is no way to treat a customer. &
It's huge from inside. I like shopping at any Costco.
The place has everything, which can be a blessing or a curse. Hard to find items, and difficult to find staff that can assist. Unrelated to the store, or the staff, other customers wander around staring up at the top shelves oblivious to their surroundings. Like they have never seen the inside of a warehouse before, completely shocked at the scale of the place. Avoid this place on weekends, that seems to be when the idiots show up en masse.
Very casual Costco. Has nice hotdogs and the regular contents, their hotdogs are always the same price which makes it great.
Awesome!!! Things are always on sale and prices are very low. Great to shop at when buying for a family or group because many items co.e in bulk for cheap prices. They also have free samples to try before buying the product. I go there every week. It also has awesome food at the food area behind the cash register (the hotdog and fries are the best in the world!). Hope this review has helped you with your decision????
Favorite Costco in the Toronto area. Parking can be busy but I always find a spot. Carries majority of what I need and the layout is great. They did not seem to have plastic cutlery when I was there the last time, or plastic wine glasses bit everything else, yes.
I was pleasantly surprised how they successfully handle customers and move you through check out quickly and gracefully and still respect Covid restrictions.
Cheap gas. Friendly staff at the membership counter. Had to get a second card and applied for a credit card as well. Can't go wrong with Costco.
I’m beyond impressed with the excellent service I received at the wireless/cellphone department at this particular location (Queensway Etobicoke). I dealt with Jon, needless to say; he is phenomenal! Very professional and patient throughout our whole upgrading process. I didn’t realize there are perks as a Costco member to set up cellphone services through them. Thanks again!
Members only but worthy to pay membership prices are much better than other stores from grocery, electronics ,home appliances and gas.
Poor customer service at checkout with cashier Lahib she was so lazy, i had a big order, I asked her to call a helper she said there wasn’t any around,! I unpacked and packed everything myself she didn’t help at all, I let her manager Connor know after on my way out, lt didn’t seem like he would take any action. I find this disrespectful to paying customers. I probably shouldn’t have gone there in the first place, overlay or billy bishop locationd are better
Doesnt really make sense to me to reinforce the mask rule so heavily but yet at the food court your forced to order your food on a self serve touch screen kiosk and never seen it sanitized once the whole 15mins I waited for my food and it was busy and a lot of people ordered and your ordering food....people are eating after touching that screen...get your priorities straight
No flowers in Costco during the lockdown in April in Etobicoke? Plants are 100% allowed!!!
Confined to a wheelchair I never leave Costco disappointed in the service, or people I've met while there. All go out of their way to assist me in overcoming my limitations through courteous assistance. Bravo! To Costco, and all the wonderful people I often meet while there.... Wendy
I like the swift checkout service and the staff that places you in line. Coutesy desk very friendly and well informed, like Natalie. Some items are not replaced to rebuy and that is disappointing otherwise we are happy.
This Costco is filthy and incredibly busy. There is no parking and the warehouse is very difficult to navigate due to the amount of people shopping. I try to avoid the place as much as possible. I am surprised that they haven't been shut down because of the amount of people, they have to be breaking the fire or some kind of safety regulations. Toronto could use about another 10-15 Costco's .
Its a Costco. Ginormous portions at rock bottom prices. Like every Costco they never have enough parking. If your a POC they scrutinize your cart when you leave but if you have a white friend with you they just mark the receipt. Really good tire prices. The hotdogs are still fabulous. The lines at the checkouts are each about 20 yards in length. Typical Costco stuff.
Clean, has most supplies you need for a reasonable price. Lots of free food samples. Even when it's busy the cashiers are super fast. Parking is available
Horrible management keeping 1 person on returns. What could be their intensions? Ahhh to discourage you… Shame!
I am in love with Costco. I buy my vegetables from H&W Produce and try to buy only meat from Costco (not that it ever works out that perfectly). Their chicken breasts are always big and juicy, but make sure to not buy the bulk frozen box. That stuff is chicken like substance and is clearly marked as 14% chicken on the side of the box in smaller print. Otherwise, Kirkland brand products are fantastic and work great. It's cheaper than buying the name brand stuff at other stores as well.
Great place to get products at great prices. No matter how large the portion sizes are, non perishables are a great buy
Great place for bulk items of course. Clean environment. One of the go to grocery places every couple of months! Going with someone to share some of the items is a good idea too!
Best Costco in the city. Not too busy. Limited parking but people are pretty courteous and let you in. Everything is fresh and the selection is great. Bakery section is fantastic and the staff are super friendly. There’s also a great brewery nearby with a fantastic selection of local beers.
I love shopping here. Generally good prices... And they usually don't run out of the staples.... Excellent return policy.... Occasional difficulty finding someone to help you if you cannot find something. Love the fact they they are selling more and more organic non-GMO foods at quite reasonable prices. . Very busy at times but understand why.
I love shopping at Costco, it has so many products to shop for. As a single senior I buy family packs of goods and it lasts a long time at a good price. I definitely recommend this place for value shopping. Also when I called them, they do have seniors hours available at this location.
Great location with variety of essentials and non essential items, lots of clothing and a few shoes. Samples came back. Gas also available. Usually not very crowded during the week.
I love to shop at Costco. You can have free food samples and many interesting products that you will not find in any other store. And I will always stop at the food kiosk for a polish sausage and a pop(refill for free) for only $1.50. Costco has it all! Food, clothes, appliances and hassle free return policy.
Great customer service and excellent prices!
Great shop, this Costco is perfect. So many customers is the only issue, not really a problem. All employees are top notch. Always full I see why.
They need more cashiers. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful.
Staff is always terrific here. Still don't understand why Costco is open while books stores and clothing stores are closed though
Does this look like it's worth $300?
Walk in for an item, emerge with $200 of items you didn't know you needed. This is the average Costco experience. And we love it. While there load up on cheap gas too. Unavoidable.
I like this warehouse a lot. Less crowded than other warehouses
I love costco, self serve checkout is great If you do not want to wait in line. I hurt my knee and having the carts available to drive in really helps. Thank you to costco for that
I can not express how frustrating it is owning a Costco membership with the main purpose being propane refills and it is always out of order. 3 times in a row coming from Manitoulin Island with propane bottles loaded and it's out of order or they're out of propane!! Who on earth in managing this place? For over $100 a year membership you would expect some professionalism. Customer service is always terrific inside and outside the store...but management needs a good talking to about this issue as they clearly are negligent or incapable of handle this responsibility.
There are many signs reminding people to social distance HOWEVER there is NO social distancing at the checkout. People are inches apart from a person checking out in another lane. It is great that Costco is protecting their staff …
Self check out area, there is a dish or side tray, it did not open fully for us to use, worker told us cannot place item here. The column or piller is blocking side tray. Item will be scanned and placed there anyways. Be more aware on your part and the service will be better. You do want customer coming back. That is my feedback.
Always a good place to shop, lots of variety and costumer service is usually spot on.Parking is usually the worst part of shopping here as there's always so many people there.Theres lots of parking, but sometimes hard to find close spots.
I always like Costco and go there every time thst I am in town. Because of the recent changes to Covid shopping, there were some items sold out. The staff were working hard to keep up cleaning shelves of empty boxes and restocking. They were very helpful even though they were so busy. Kudos to them!
Good prices on many items but you have to buy in large quantities. There are many regular stock items. There are however, things you either buy when they have it or you don't buy them at all. They are one time deal, or sometimes they bring the same product next year or in a couple of years.
The way inside to go for gas Station is not that great. To get to the Gas station, it took me around 10 mins after I took a left turn at 149 Street. And again go back to yellow head, it took me 7 more minutes after I put the gas in.
Obviously they are trying to cut staff, on a VERY busy night the cashiers had no helpers. I had to to all the packing myself. If you are not capable to do your own packing, you better look elsewhere to do your grocery shopping.
It’s just a Costco. Clean, busy, loads of variety.
Do not go on a weekend unless you want high blood pressure. So many people are oblivious to their surroundings... Sure, leave your cart on a 45 degree angle blocking half the aisle while you stop to get a free sample standing *next* to the kiosk blocking the other half of the aisle. I swear most of the people who shop there are the same people who stop once they get off the escalator.
Big lines crowded, always spend more than $200 for 7 items or less, But great staff and quality products
This is the best Costco in the city. Well maintained, excellent staff, always good deals and easy return policies. Great place to find a good deal on brand name clothes. Groceries and produce always good quality.
I love CostCo and I used to love this location, but my last visit was a big disappointment, particularly in the area around the food desk thing. Firstly, the drink machines were mostly emitting either water or a sporatic foam. Secondly, they removed trays entirely and changed an efficient, unambiguous rope line with a tiny patch of paint and a giant area for patrons to swarm. It forces what used to be a well-organized line into a confused crowd of people getting in the way of carts and all other foot traffic. This was a conscious decision by someone who did not think it through, and it is simply foolish.
Called to see how much I paid for my winter tires...couldn't tell me cause of privacy concerns and that I'd have to come in to the store to find out that information... even during covid times. The product has already been paid for!!!
A great place for both bulk and personal size purchases. Prices are good. Aside from the amount of people there at any given time I really like going there. Hey also have numerous food sample booths set up throughout if that interests you.
Love Costco and love this location. If Costco wasn't so busy! Staff are trained and professional.
Overall staff is friendly but the staff working at the optical center are rude and discriminatory as which customer reserve first.
Bad customer service. One of the supervisor Greg was horrible. Talk to me like I owe him something. Costco Canada prices should be the same instead refuse to match the price from other costco locations. It's Costco canada not Costco ontario or Costco BC or whatever.
It generally carries a choice of one or two items, and they're usually the ones you want to buy. The big advantage is that you don't have to go there every week. Most items are priced comparably. A lot of prices are lower and a lot you can find on sale at other stores for less. The quality is always good. So is the customer service. Don't miss the hot dog and soda for $1.50
On vacation and this is my first time in this Costco. While standing waiting for someone to catch up, a staff member barked at me to pick up a fallen shirt (which I didn't drop or even know was on the floor) and said to fold it... While I don't have a problem with doing the task (I've worked retail/customer service for many years) I feel this is not appropriate..... Also it's not my job? Kind of rude. The rest of the experience was Costco as usual.
Super friendly staff, they help us to move electric piano into our car. Great location, comfortable shopping experience.
Normally I would give more stars as I love going to Costco, but this particular time, just before closing, it was extremely annoying. To start with there were only 2 cashier's on duty... With 5 people packing $6-800 carts like mine, per cashier. Then the bagger asked if I wanted boxes,I said yes, and when the bagger got changed half my purchases didn't get boxed, just chucked into the cart. Unimpressive
Shopping for tv and sound system. Total satisfaction with the man in the TV section. Better than most retail operations. That is why Costco has my business and always will
Costco is Costco! You have to watch what you buy! some things are great deals and other things you need to make sure you can make it worth your while. If you can catch when they have something special they've brought in at a great price then Costco is more than worthwhile. If you're a family, obviously, it makes sense. If you're a single that's it. I would not recommend upgrading to the executive account.
I was 21st in line. There were 3 tills open, each with over 20 people. How is this okay? You pay to be a member here and they disrespect your time like that? I won't be back and won't be renewing my membership. That's a joke.
Horrible customer service from a nasty cashier. (Val P according to my receipt.) Avoid at all costs.
Had a new set of tires put on today. I wish appointments were more flexible but, when you get your tires in fall, you should expect a wait. Gaylene and the other tire shop personnel were excellent. No complaints. And remember..... if you don't want to wait, get your tires on sooner than October. I waited till October and, in my opinion, the Costco Tire shop did the job quickly.
I waited in return lineup for 20-30 min just for the lady to type away for 15 minutes and not find my receipt for the pillow set I bought. She couldn’t not find the pillows I know I purchased that are trash and losing feathers out of them constantly. Waste of an hour. Trash service.
I had prescriptions to pick up and I was in and out very quickly. No line ups to wait for. Great service
Oct 17 2021 12: 30 pm, Another disappointing and frustrating experience at this 149 st location.I was shopping in produce department and I over heard staff in that department tell a Asian man that he can't touch and choose the watermelon he wants, but yet other customers are touching every single package fruits and and vegetables on the floor, I can see her point as I was going through the, my wife was standing 6' from the till and was told to stand behind the glass understandable, here's the kicker I came to get food and the same packer that told my wife to stand back was packing groceries for the people behind us and they were practically leaning at the cashier counter. So my point is if your going to run protocols do it across the board don't target certain people or race. My thoughts are if Costco is so concerned about this pandemic why are the not asking for vaccination proof to their members. And it would eliminate some of this concerns. 8f a member says they got covid and they were at Costco will they close the store down maybe not but if a staff member says they got covd will they close the door down, what is the difference?
This rating of is directed to the staff of automotive service. I came in to buy new tires but the counter salesperson was not friendly and seemed to get annoyed when I asked questions about different types of tires. They were not helpful at all. Come on Costco I expect this type of service at Walmart, not here. Very disappointed, and will take my business elsewhere.
It was my first time at costco and it was a really good store with a wide variety and a wide selection of products and produce and they let you buy in bulk so its cheaper and you get more for your money . Its like having a walmart, hardware store, clothing store and a miscellaneous store all in one so instead of going to 5 different stores you only need to go to 1 and i love that about Costco. I would recommend anybody to shop there. Its also safe and clean due to covid just make sure you social distance yourself to protect yourself and others for your own safety and the public and our front line workers and staff. So im just basically saying have respect for yourself and others .
Costco is Costco. Great bargains although research is recommended as not every purchase there will save you money. Parking is unpleasant, with aggressive drivers and oblivious pedestrians. The gas bar seems like a train wreck but always moves quickly.
The staff is usually very helpful... They have been out of toilet paper the last two times I have been here unfortunately.. gas station lines are sometimes very long
For me it's a 4.5 star. Would take half star off due to parking shortage
As like other Costco centers, this Costco parking will be full, you have to spend 10 minutes to find a parking spot. Billing will take time, due to large lines. Washrooms are clean. Staff are friendly. Prices are OK ok but not so cheap. Tire center is expensive. They sells the tire at low price if we compare with other tire centers but they also charge installation rotation charges. In other tire centers they do it for free. So, tires are not cheap here. In photo center, they don't take pictures of infants and kids for passport photos. They simply suggest you to go to a professional.
I would give no stars if I could! On May 2 I went into this Costco to purchase a tv that had gone on sale, it was a Samsung 55’ smart led tv and it was $200 off. My girlfriend and I pulled the tv, put it on our flat deck and proceeded to cash. The box had some damage and the tape was disturbed but I didn’t think much of it ( I have purchased electronics at Costco before and never had any issues, along with the return policy I thought if anything was wrong I could just bring it back) I got home that evening pulled the tv out and went to hang it up and it doesn’t turn on, another look and it’s not even the same tv that’s supposed to be in the box! I called the customer service line and they said bring the tv back in the morning and they would refund me the purchase price. So that morning I went and loaded up this tv to take it back only to haul it in and the store is refusing to take it back! I have talked to the manager, the customer service line, the membership line and keep on getting different answers and never any call backs! I want something done about this ASAP, the manager when I did talk to him on the phone was rude, not accommodating and was name calling to me on the line. I have never had this terrible of a experience at Costco and it really puts a sour taste in my mouth when I think about shopping there again... I’ve had this tv sitting in my living room for almost a month now and am out 600$. Please don’t even buy any electronics from the 149st store cause if there is a problem they won’t return it, they will also yell and name call over the phone to you. Again I beg to have someone rectify this please!
What's not to like about a place that has 4lb bags of potato chips? Would have given 4 stars but last ribs I bought there had turned even though the "best before" was 5 days away. Did not bother to return them however
Great place for sales wasn't crowded
Finally got through the checkout quickly for a change. No lineup for self checkout.
I don’t love how some of the employees talk down to you. I brought my daughter there to shop. She spent over $500. When she took out her bankcard to pay, the cashier looked at me like i had just killed someone. When i asked her if there was a problem, she told me that guests have to pay cash. I offered to use my bank card for both purchases but the cashier said that she would do it this time, but that they’re not supposed to. I didn’t see this “rule” posted anywhere. So either accept cash from guests or don’t. Pick one! But don’t get snarky about it. I also went there recently, amidst the Covid 19 pandemic. When i got to the cash i put my card on my first item as usual. Well i guess this is illegal now. Again, you would of swore i killed somebody. There were 3 employees spraying the conveyor belt while my stuff was still on it. I commented that maybe they shouldn’t b open if they are this worried. The cashier told me that i should be grateful that i can buy food. I was grateful but if i’m going to be treated like i have the plague, i’ll pass!! Sometimes, u walk in, no need to show Costco card. Other times, if u don’t show it, it’s the end of the world and they have to c it... because everyone wants to window shop at Costco!!!! Get over yourselves Costco Sudbury!!!!!!
It's OK... as same as other Costco location
Just what you'd expect from any Costco: Insane parking lot, people crawling over you like ants to get large quantities of food, lineups that rival an amusement park line. Git it.
I hate the fact that they don't give bags . So I have to go through the store put it in basket take it out of basket put it back in basket bring it to car put it in trunk take it to home and bring it in house. One peice at a time
I was in the market for a new TV and had done all my research as to model and options. I went to the Costco in Oshawa as it is a larger store and have a great selection of big screens by all the major players. What I did not expect to find was Wayne who was incredibly informed about every aspect of three sets I was looking at. He did not steer me to the most expensive but asked thoughtful questions as to our viewing habits, room light, distances etc. Great experience Wayne, thank you again for your expertise. I ordered a 65" inch set online and it will be delivered this week.
Now I just cut prices stock exchange in the everyday no good anymore
Very helpful opened an account quick and easy
Great store, service is excellent and if you check the busiest times you can plan accordingly.
Love it. great for bulk buys, quality goods and even kids clothes. getting busier with the holidays so keep that in mind as you shop, but all tills were open and they sped us through preatty quickly in my opinion.
My recent visit to that Costco location was not pleasant to say the least. I arrived to that Costco with 4 propane tanks in a cube van. Cylinders were strapped to the wall of the cube van. A person, who was filling up propane looked disappointed after I got a second tank out. He asked how many more tanks I had and after I told him that I had 4 he said that he can't do it. Obviously I asked the reason and after mumbling something he went inside and got a tire center manager out. The manager also could not provide me with a good enough reason so he got another manger out with a small book. The exact wording was: "Propane tanks need to be in a well ventilated vehicle." The statement is true when referred to small personal cars not a commercial larger vehicle. That manager topped that statement up by adding that propane cylinders need to be... Wait for it!!! Transported in back seats of sedans with windows open!!! That is actually against a law) LOL Anyway I spoke to assistant store manager who got their store manager to call me. Store manager said he would look into what happened but 5 days later I still did not receive an explanation. As per transporting propane you are allowed to carry maximum of 5 propane cylinders in the upright position (secured) with total weight being under 1000 lb. Any more than that and you require TDG cars with placards on the vehicle. Dealing with propane a lot I will tell you that I have never seen a greater level of incompetence from "trained" to handle propane people. Telling people to transport propane in a dangerous and illegal manner? Refuse to service people who follow the rules and actually posses TDG certificate? Funny. They wasted a lot of my time so I am filing an official complaint. I would be looking to get an official explanation to how and why incompetent people are allowed to handle dangerous goods.
Huge wholesale retailer, dealing from food, bedding, clothing, electronic goods, books, etc etc. Prices are reasonable and the quality is exceptional. Always small venues set up through the complex, offering samples of a variety of food, and drink products. Did I mention free. Free samples. The only draw back to shopping here is. You have to be a member. However, membership is not that expensive, and with the gas bar located outside, you can usually save from 8c to 10c a litre in gas, compared to most gas retail outlets. The parking is more than adequate. Just a reminder. Make sure to bring your own bags when shopping here. Costco does not supply them. If your a family who likes to buy in bulk. This place is definitely for you.
I absolutely love this store! I have never been there where they have not been attentive and helpful! they treat me with respect. they are very organized.they were way ahead of the pandemic lineups before anybody else. I just think they’re marvellous! I have great respect for every single one of the people that works there because they just tremendous. Last time I was there I saw a gentleman responsible for the carts see another gentleman coming towards the store who obviously was in need of a scooter and he took a scooter cart out to him, which I just thought was tremendously kind and that that’s how they all work. They care!♥️
I really like coming to Costco Tue. and Thurs. at 8:00 am in the morning .I hope you keep that open for seniors.
Perfect spot for wholesale shoppers .. If you wish to eat fresh fruits go for it...The staff is very awesome and friendly..
Costco is Costco dangerous parking lots crasey customer's no staff to be found when you need them. Prices are so so except for gas and paper products. Being a member at Costco seems to breed a attitude of snobbery a over sense of belonging …
Store was great neat and organized just as you would expect a costco to be .However access to the store parking both comming and going was a nite mare the gas bar should exit to a separate driveway
Cannot argue that the prices are great! The one thing that I learned today though is that I would rather pay a little more if it means that I can get some customer service. Worst meat department that I have ever seen. I was going to purchase three steak for fifty dollars however when I asked the staff member behind the meat counter if she could package two separately from the third one she said they were not allowed to do that? Goodbye meat department. Went to IGA and they actually appreciated my business! Will be buying my meat from anywhere but Costco in the future.
I honestly love Costco even know my bills are always $300 when I go there but they have everything for selections. I'm giving 4 stars because I think the membership fee is way over priced.
One of the busiest Costco’s in Canada, but well run and stocked. If you want to eat samples, don’t go in too early (store open at 9:00) as they don’t set up their tables til 11:00. Gas is consistently the cheapest in town so it’s worth your while to get a membership (gas station is open before the 9:00 opening hours of the actual store so it doesn’t get too packed). Avoid getting gas here just before a long weekend as the line ups mean waiting 25 minutes.
First time there, busy but check out moved fast, lots to see. Will have to go again
Huge store but the parking lot can be crazy. There is also a gas bar now.
Go to this costco for food or gas BUT do not use the tire center. Rude, uncooperative, arrogant, narcissistic, staff look for problems and ignore solutions. You will be happier and satisfied if you go somewhere else.
Was great. Wasn't super busy. Staff was nice. Store was clean. Bathroom was clean!
Great Costco! They're all very similar but this one seems to have less of a line up and the returns line moves quickly too. I am a huge Costco fan and this is not even my closest store but I like coming here because I always find what I need here. Keep up the great work!
Super busy. Everyone stocking up for Christmas.
Our online order was processed and delivered quickly. They made good on the voucher they promised at sign up, even though it took a phone call to customer service. Wish they had a closer warehouse.
Never a bad thing to say about Costco except for the line ups. But that's to be expected so, pack your patience. Don't shop there if you're in a hurry. I go to fill my tank by 09:30, when it's still peaceful. Then I park by a buggy staging area and calmly saunter to the store when it opens. By the time I cash out and leave, the parking lot is full, but I'm done !
one of the best managed locations in Greater Toronto area.
Was busy, but I was helped out fairly quickly, went in to purchase a new cell phone plan today. Good pricing as I brought my own phone. Too bad no gas bar at the Sudbury store. A little competition in the gas business would be good for our area.
Shopping fun! I do wish they would bring back those huge $19.99sheet cakes-now they have much smaller round ones!
Could use some more checkout spots but not too bad
Great visit! Not busy at weekdays. However, Costco cash card has so much limit. 1) Prepare more time to get day pass. General speaking, one cash card, one visit. 2) I was told no return if purchase through cash card.
Tire center never picks up the phone ! Lady in the front ignores phone calls and just sits there on her personal phone ! I called from home , then I was driving and to the store and I kept calling . When I walked in I was still calling, she was just stilling there and refusing to pick up the call ! Why is she even there .... I tried asking her why is this happening she said she is busy and went back to her phone !
Great bulk buys, usually good products. Pharmacy is rediculoudly slow. Customer service is chancy, customers themselves can be pushy and not respect social distancing. I would not use third party sales through Costco....too many bad experiences ..... By third party I mean when other companies are selling there services through Costco. Gas bar is pretty good, but again watch out for other customers and their aggressive driving in parking lot.
It was a great experience as usual. I was able to find Janes Aiglefin fish on sale for $3.00 less per box. BLack Ham $14.95 and something new Demo called Formaggio Rotolo for $11.90. The cashier and floor helpers were terrific. I love …
Good store to do your shopping at all times
I understand the need for masks in the store. But while trying to purchase propane i was told i needed to be masked, i explained to the attendant that not only was i outside that i was also 6 feet from anybody else and that i also had been vaccinated. Her response was not only extremely rude but also very arrogant. Masks are not law and it was extremely demeaning of her. As she made me the center of attention in front of others patrons. I did not purchase my propane at that point and i will not be returning to costco untill this pandemic is over ... or even ever...
Usual experience, not crowded today. 149 st location adding a gas station. Laptop seems like a great deal
Though Costco has lots of selection, tasty samples and good prices I consistently have a bad experience every time I go. Before I had a Costco card I used to go there to use the pharmacy ( which non members may do). During my last visit to get a perscription, the woman at the door ok'ed us but her coworker must not have heard and chased us down yelling that we had to get out without a membership. Once we reexplained she allowed us to continue but offered no apology. She explained it was our fault she had to embarrass us and we should apologize to her for wasting her time. She also stated she was going to continue to follow us to the pharmacy to ensure we didn't sneak off. It was extremely embarassing to be followed throughout a store like a thief. I had been using the pharmacy without incident for 6 months before.... some staff have a poor attitude and no care for service or people. Poor reflection on the business
Great Customer service and outstanding team on the floor. I needed the tower fan that was sold out on the floor (no surprises, it is +38); Dave told me that other locations are sold out and they the only once that have more, but stocked up on the top shelves. They offered me to come back few minutes before closing. When I came in, Nick assisted me and was very kind to explain the procedure. In few minutes I saw Dave again, who recognized me and ran to get me one. Thanks! Awesome customer service by both Dave and Nick! I got my purchase after closing hours! You are true champs! Will be shopping again at this location!
If you can make it out of the parking lot, it's a good day. Why do people gotta go so crazy in Costco parking lots? But at least the hot dogs are cheap ????
Not too crowded. The lady at the pharmacy who gave me my booster was super nice.
Great selection of anything you can almost imagine. All the staff seemed extra friendly be and genuine. Really made my day shopping there today! Thank you!
Got there early. No lineup outside. Found everything I wanted. And no lineup when I got to the cash. Can't ask for anything better than that.
Didn't find everything I was looking for but still 1000 times better than Brampton! Cashier was nice which was refreshing because sometimes they can be stabdoffish. Store was spacious but the cash registers are too close to the other and paying can be tricky if someone else is cashing out and is impatient.
Busy but the place is well organized. Wondering if the food stall can use slightly larger boxes. You don't want fries to peek out of the corner of a smallish package lest they touch external surfaces or risk contamination during transport
Waited till later in the day, it was a great experience. In and out within an hour and I was loaded up. Haven't stepped inside since before Christmas so was a happy camper.
It is what it is big box store with excellent products and prices. Longest line ups most of the time but simply worth visiting if your appetite is incredible large. Try not to stay too long or you will buy what you don't use.
I love this costco! Definitely one of the best costcos in the are. It never gets to busy to handle. The staff are the best! They're helpful and polite. I also love that everything is alwahs organized for the most part, other than when customers leave or drop thing. Yet, the staff do a great job at quickly organizing back on selves.
Very pleased with my service at the Tire Centre today. Darryl was super friendly, and my car was done in perfect time.
Love Costco and maybe little to much. Covid makes it hard to shop sometimes but will contour going back for sure.
Reasonable amount of helpful staff. They are trying to stay safe in the covid era but they are hampered by people and habit (cart swap at the til without sanitation, center aisles are not 6ft).
Always liked this store. Large assortment of food and home items to buy. Caesar salads are always fresh as with the oven ready pastas. Cashiers always friendly but the boxing clerks lack in training. Please listen when I ask for two boxes and get one huge box that I can lift.
They have good stuff also good customer service
A regular costco with lot of tempting stuff to overload our cart. Please stick to the buying list prepared from home, if you don't want to overload your cart, so as to save money and prevent unnecessary purchase.
Typical amazing costco experience
This place is well organised and clean too. Cheapest best quality whole sale everything. So very very crowded and long long lasting legacy lines up.
I used to love the store and the staff and I have been there pretty much every week since they opened but I am done with their covid rules .Today my mask slipped off my nose and within 2 seconds as i was fixing it a worker walking by told me loudly to put it back on .Seems like some sort of public shaming . They also have a woman walking up and down the floor with a covid buggy looking for violators and treating them the same way, kind of like a bad cop but no gun .Don't feel welcome like I used to . Not a pleasant experience
Was good, not overly busy
Very good store. Excellent pharmacy.
It's a Costco, so you know what to expect. However, I've had some issues with the store reps not understanding store policies (in one case relating to AmEx cards and another case relating to their optical center). Good people at the hearing aids section. Their prices on things like milk have forced stores to drop their prices, too.
Thank you Sean, of the Tire Service Centre for your big act of kindness today! Although you had signed out and was actually walking out of the Etobicoke COSTCO as you were done for the day, when I called out to you for help, you came back to the Tire Service Centre and helped inflate my car tire which was near-flat. If not for your selfless and kind gesture, I would have been delayed big time and stranded while waiting for roadside assistance. Much appreciated, Sean, may your positive attitude serve you well and take you far!
The staff and store itself are awesome but the people that shop here are complete idiots. Everybody shows their card entering then stops in the middle of the walkway cart sideways to organize their stuff and blocks everybody, the aisles are 4 times as wide as Walmart yet somebody always blocks your way, and if you try to get gas you wait in line for 25 minutes then suddenly everybody in front of you is shook that they need their membership card to get gas and you wait for 5 minutes while they dig for it or somehow have technological issues at the pump and need to flag down staff when it's a bloody gas pump
Great store to shop , great prices, staff is super friendly well worth the membership price.
So much to see and buy! Know your prices going in. Just cuz it's a warehouse doesn't mean things are cheaper. And items are sold in big lots so if you don't have a large household, take a friend and split the large packages.
Very busy but cashiers were quick
I am a regular Costco shopper. During this Covid time I am more focused on what I need at Costco. I want in and want out quickly. My question is why the rearrangement of the store again, exspecially during Covid. Your customers are trying to stay safe but wondering around the store looking for items is not something we should be doing at this time.
Amazing place to shop and great deals ! ! Love it !
I love this location. Staff here are great. Never had any issues. My shopping experience has always been great. Its COSTCO need I say more!!!
I go there to fuel up my 09 civic. Good prices and hardly any lineups since they have a huge gas bar with many lanes. There is 2 lanes on opposite sides for filling up and one lane down the middle for passing someone if they are done fueling up so that you don't have to wait to pull through. You can just use the passing lane and park by the pump in front of them. Very convenient.
Didnt have Nestle wateŕ tsk tsk.
Had the best experience today at Costco. I went shopping after a long time as I recently had a baby. So been staying in and having others do the grocery. Today I decided to tackle it on my own and oh boy was it tough. I filled one cart up and needed to get some extra things. I asked for help and right away a cashier got me someone to help me finish the rest of my shopping and bring it to me while I was paying for the first cart. 2nd cart was very heavy but the gentleman that helped did not mind and was very pleasant. Everyone today that I spoke to was amazing. Good job Costco, you have the best employees with such great attitude.
I absolutely love Costco, this Costco in particular has wonderful stock and very friendly staff. I go every week and stock up on the fresh, great quality meat and produce for my family. The clothes are great! Honestly, just everything at Costco is amazing.
My favorite Costco but have to say the staff no nothing about their products.
During COVID-19 - no clean shopping trolleys available. Had to take one from the parking lot. Crowded inside and not enough staff to keep things moving.
Came to the optical department to replace my broken glasses. Because I had just had a prescription for safety glasses filled last month I wanted to use the same prescription(so I don't have to wear glasses with different prescriptions). They refused to let me shop with my old prescription, saying the policy forbids them from using prescriptions older than a year. Guess they don't like money. Went else where and had my glasses ordered with the old prescription no problem. I'm not coming back here again, even though I've used them many times in the past.
I am very disappointed with optical department in this location, staff are not friendly at all. I wait few months for my son's 3rd contact lens appointment. Optical department staff no respect for their customers especially when you are dark skin person. Thumbs up for Costco st. Alberts optical department.
Be aware how your spending and returns are being tracked!!! I shop in this location since store was opened. For many years it was one stop shopping for me as I was busy working. Recently I went to return Dyson Vacuum as it stopped working properly after 1,5 year of usage. Considering the high price I paid I took it back to the store. I was shocked to find out how Costco is tracking my spending and returns. I even got a printout of my spending and returns for the last year!!! Unbelievable!!! Apparently I have returned 50% of how much I have spend. That includes dinning set purchesed on line when delivered did not meet my expectations and all the clothes that did not fit as there is no fitting room...My account has WARNING now I am not allowed to buy or return other Dyson!
Good price, good service but it's always a struggle finding a parking spot in this warehouse store. Maybe they could devise a better system to address this problem?
Great Costco location not too far from downtown Toronto. This one has excellent selection of items available and probably has the most selection of cheeses and charcuterie meats of any Costco location I've seen in the GTA.
Like any costco you can find tons of things here. Solid staff and sample people here. As usual the food court is cheap with pretty decent food although definitely not the best poutine as some people say. Worth having a membership too just based on the availability of school snacks and other school related things. There's also a lot of decent members services here
A quick in and out which is unlike a typical Costco visit.
Pretty standard Costco. One of the oldest in GTA
Who doesn't like buying stuff at Costco? Doubt anyone has anything bad to say about this or any another Costco location in the Edmonton area. Navigating around the parking lots and aisles is another story though, but Costco isn't at fault here. Anyway, I'm going to enjoy my pepperoni pizza and chicken wings.
most of the tills are closed with lots of people in line waiting to pay. self serve tills are starting to open but with staff hovering over everyone and essentially doing it for them is this really neccessary for a direction you want to go. get those staff on tills instead
Great service and fresh produce
Terrible.. way too many people.. capacity of 995.. at least a 45 minute wait for check out
Never too busy compared to other locations in GTA
I love shopping at Costco, always find great deals and things in bulk. The gas bar is always a bit cheaper then everywhere else in the city and you don't need a Costco card to shop at their liquor stores. The return policy at Costco is outta this world and I will happily pay the annual membership fee because of how great this store is.
Good prices on a lot of items but they don't carry a lot of items that are favorites and are sometimes out of stock on things you comment on being there
A members only shopping store selling all kinds of packaged and fresh foods, dairy products, meats, fish and fresh fruit and vegetables. Cooked food and bakery items are also on sale. Home and office supplies are also available. There is a pharmacy and an optician counter as well . A few automobile accessories are also sold. An ATM on site besides a fast food counter if one is hungry. There are clean restrooms and ample parking spaces. There is also a gas station again for Costco members only.
Although I am not a member yet I did go with a friend to grab a couple things. Almost everything is sold in bulk and you need to know your prices but overall it was good. Might look into joining?
I just love Costco! I love the deals. I love the variety. I love the bulk items. I love the samplers. I love the clothing deals. I love their ice cream cones. But on a different note, I am super glad they have newly installed self ordering tablets at a kiosk for their food menu. This makes it so much more convenient and easier to pay as they now accept debit and credit as opposed to cash only
A great shopping experience. The meat prices are excellent when compared to loblaws, and cleaning supplies in bulk are always nice. The store is well kept with cleaning staff constantly working. My only problem was the lack of parking.
I'm shocked that my costco doesn't carry local produce at the height of the season. Almost as bad- is the quality of US based produce they're selling at top $ ... Peaches like straw. Strawberries/blueberries with mould. No local corn. I'm not the only one who feels this way... I heard about 5 conversations between shoppers who were equally unhappy. Soo.. & yes, i only bought canadian today.
Always my shopping place for bulk purchases
Long waiting line for returns.they should figure out speedy process for returns.
Regarding "Deluxe Mooncake Variety Pack" (red box)... How disappoining that, when we arrived home there were only three cakes where there should have been four (one empty slot). I hope that, whoever decided to abscond with the fourth cake, enjoys it and is not bothered by their conscience when celebrating Moon Festival.
Today we had the bad experience with price. We took the stuff (9.99$) then went to self check out and it was 22.99 . Good job!!! Wrong price tag.. Again.. It happens every time with different products .. when we take the product we didn’t look at words we look the price..
Overall Costco is decent but their pharmacy Dept is a joke!! No one ever answers the phone. Prescription requests aren't sent when they say they did. Get your act together!!!!
I have heard costco is a great place to shop i just went and its awesome they have food in packages and before i went to costco i went to nofrills and now costco came in handy i could finally get stuff in packages and guess what for a cheap price too theres nothing better i like to get stuff in packages so i can give it to my kids for snacks and i also like getting stuff in packages so it can last a long time and im addicted to shopping not no more im addicted to costco i suggest you go to costco i promise you. YOU WILL LOVE IT❤!
Store is fine. Patrons are selfish, rude and unsanitary in the Covid times. People, please take your time to make space for others. It's hard to believe that so many people have the talent required to completely block a large Costco sized isle with their cart and family. I only go here to get items I'd like which I can't find elsewhere.
Great place for bulk supplys.single people or couples should take comfort in that all prices are per unit so it's easy to see the deal but do you really need six months of tooth p aste.your choice.
April 13, 2020 around 3:15pm. I was waiting in line with my brother. Line was moving so were we. The line stopped so did we keeping distance from others in line. We got to stop in front of the exit area which we didn’t realized as there were no employees to inform us as we were just focused on the line to move. As a customer exited the store with the cart, we moved aside. When we got to the line, an employee, white, female, comes and asks us if we were in line. There were people behind us someone would have surely noticed that. I told her that we were in line, we just stepped aside to let the customer exit. Then, she tells us that there is a stop sign, which nobody seems to notice and no employee to inform us. She was being aggressive, rude and disrespectful with her tone and just seemed racist. As we waited and realized that the lineup is gonna take too long, we left. While we were leaving, we noticed that the same employee was talking to other coworkers, and people were standing right in front the exit, which was doing absolutely nothing about it. Stop racism!
Costco is the best for price range on many items however make sure when you buy a lot of meat fish chicken u have extra freezer.. ????????
The store staff was very helpful with navigating a large gazebo through the store. However, the young lad outside in the orange vest was very curt and made me help him load a VERY heavy box instead of perhaps finding another associate to help. I cracked a joke, he didn't appreciate it. Didn't smile at all and was just overall unpleasant.
I called on a Friday to order my contact, the following Tuesday they called and they were ready. I love it !!!!! When I went to get my contact the lady ask me how would I pay, I replied "debit please" then she ask me you probably don't have tap on your card !!!!! I was insulted, she was not pleasant to talk to
On April 6th 2021 was at Costco on the Kingsway. For a company that is diverse and I pay membership which I am about to cancel I do not believe I should be treated poorly. I am a human being and The person greeting was very terrible interrogating me for reasons that she should have done her job properly. She acted that way because I am a man of colour which is not acceptable. The manager Rick was terrible coming in to solve the situation after a loyal customer walked in to the store VERY VERY VERY VERY bad customer service.
I was in line with two other people having problems with their Costco cards. This male staff member came up and told me very agressivly that I was in the wrong line. so told him I was following the others and not only did he embarrass me but I felt bullied by this guy. worst experience ever in a Costco store. The manager was called and she gave me a hard time and refused to write up his behavior. total thumbs down for this location
I love Costco, but the members are too aggressive. It is common for an old woman to run you down with a cart. Once a man tried to hit me with his car in the parking lot. But, I can buy in bulk, so I still go.
Normally I would rate this Costco as amazing. on Saturday April 10th I went to this costco and waited in line for 45 mins just to get in. (due to covid i understand)... I did my shopping and then went to stand in line again for another 20 mins. They only had two cashiers open. I get to the till and had a full cart, the lady scans my card and told me that my card had expired today on that day. The cashier called over a super visor over and the lady told me that because my card expires today I cant use it... after all that time waiting in lines, I am disappointed that I had to leave all of my things. I could see if my card expired the next day, but on the same day? come on.
Treated terribly by the cashier and yeah your produce section that said capacity of 6 had over a dozen people in there. There was plenty of employees around but nobody was monitoring the capacity of that section. I dont feel safe there anymore we won't be renewing our membership because obviously you don't care.
Service is good but just covid stuff is gone out of hand it's almost like if you've hired a bunch of brown shirts from Hitler's past armies stop harassing the public when they're coming into your store it might go a long way to what's going to happen to the store in the future
Good service as always
Way to busy. Should have left the minute i walked in. Social distance impossible
They were doing well with covid but aug14 at 5:30 there was no one at the door limiting numbers, the store was too packed. In less than 10 mins I saw multiple customers without masks. I saw even more people with them under their noses or under chin. So crowded it was impossible to maintain social distance so I left without buying anything. They were handling covid the best at the beginning , now it’s gross.
Always find hidden treasures at a fraction of the cost.
I have been a member for over 30 years now snd still continue to enjoy shopping at costco. It is simply the best for me.
I love this Costco however I cannot express my hate for the pharmacy and pharmacists at this location. They are often rude and have gotten prescriptions wrong numerous times. They also lie with the claims of contacting me when I have gotten no such call. Then they wait until I show up to tell me that they do not have an ingredient to complete my order. It has been beyond frustrating with this pharmacy if it wasn't for the prices I would fill prescriptions else where. I wish I could give a separate review for the rest of the warehouse.
Need to expand their gas bar available pumps similar to every Costco gas pump location in the GTA. With so many entry/exits to this complex such a poorly designed layout.
Costco is a great place to shop and the prices are cheap but I wonder why you don't accept Visa payments
Costco is Costco.... You go there when you have to to not because you want to. It has a way to pulling products out without any notice. Good stuff but selections are limited. Sometimes you look at one of the items and think "what was the buyer thinking?"
I expected to find good price but not. Also they don't have many options in products. Today after 6 years I renewed my membership and I didn't have any gift or promotion or discount. So disappointed
Costco provides commendable customer service and support. Their return policy is definitely one of the best out there and their concierge warranty is in my opinion much better than what's offered by original manufacturers. Pricing is competitive and most major brands are available. Their meat products are fresh and top quality; bakery department is also very good
I don’t have a positive thing to say about this place , it was difficult to get ok service before the COVID but now it’s far easier to find somewhere else for your glasses, the eye exam doctor was professional and very friendly, and the rest of Costco was great for having lots of great things and always on par with the season changes, so the food is still good and at a fair price, but like the rest of the world change is here and we all need to adapt ?
Best gas prices, you can shop there without a membership if you buy or receive gift cards. Excellent cheddar all round quality. Glasses are always good. My HVAC contractor says it's the best place for adding an air conditioner.
Was able to get everything I needed in one place. Always love shopping here. ????????????
It's costco. Don't go in if you're in a hurry and don't miss any iles. They have a lot of stuff but it's never the same stock twice. We visit about once a month and stock up what we need. If you have a list rry to follow it but it's all the things you have not seen elsewhere that make the trip worthwhile. Stick to your budget as it can get expensive.
Your bulk purchases can be found here always They got baking soda ! I'm in love with the Costco!
Excellent customer service we called ahead to locate a Frigidaire 20cf up right freezer and they tagged our name on it so we could make the 3.5hr drive to purchase it. Happened to be the worst rated freezer they sell but it was priced at $750 so not unhappy yet.
My first visit to this Costco. A little overwhelming, but feel I need to get used to where things are. Love the sampling. Great selection of all kinds of products. Fantastic for large family shopping, or for sharing with friends and family. Helpful staff. Friendly cashiers. I will be back.
Costco today shopping was absolutely the bomb I can hardly wait to go back great prices a little of everything there right from Pharmaceuticals Beauty food Frozen items to garage carports televisions fridges washers dryers stoves all kinds of appliances I had the most amazing experience of my life I'm here too
From my own experience, good service including returning when you are not happy with a product. Gas price at Costco gas station is relatively cheap, that explains why there is sometimes a long line up. Two things to keep in mind, first a membership card is required to shop from Costco and second thing, Visa is not accepted for payment so far.
You can never get someone in the tire department to answer a phone. When at the desk they make it appear as though you are an inconvenience. Had their community outreach manager offer to look into a specific product (a Murphy bed), never heard back from her and she did not return either phone calls nor e-mails - disappointing. This location is great for product and price (like all other Costco's) - staff is well paid and provide mediocre service at best (unlike other costco I regularly visit)... with the exception of the odd cashier that is pleasant and efficient.
I'm very disappointed with their staff members. Some of them are very rude with no personality, and no customer service skills.
Cosco, on 149st/120ave(approximately) Is an amazing place which can not be Sufficiently described and complimented In this short monograph. The place is bursting with fantastic supply from nice Jewelry to delicious canned soups And freshly cooked food, fruits, vegetables And cheeses in between. The attraction About the place is its offering of high Fresh quality of food, clothing and More( flowers ,books , baked goods, meats and pharmacy Included) at whole sale prices, and I Guess that many Edmonton restaurants And other businesses Source items from Costco. The place provides sufficient Manpower for good organization and Fast payment and checkout procedures So the multitude of purchasers does Not feel unneeded loss of time. Parking is plentiful and carts to carry Products are free ,sanitized and abundant, and Abandoned empty Carts left by leaving Customers on the parking lots, are promptly collected and brought back To use, without impeding traffic.Even though a large number of buyers come There continuously and for Covid-19 Reasons needs potentially to stand in line to enter, the turnover is fast and well Organized with sufficient polite menpower To ensure a short Waite without the Feeling of unreasonable loss of time. AMAZING, STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
Done shopping @ costco the communist corporation ran by the Bolsheviks Arresting a guy with 5 cops because he isn't wearing a mask and he has a medical exemption is against the law for one and the beginning of full tyranny to strip your rights away. Membership canceled, never shopping again. Family members, friends are also doing the same. These people are not here to help you and this isn't about a virus. They're here to hi jack all Western countries and conform you to communism. Stop supporting these clowns and hit them where it hurts, their pockets.
They have been doing a great job with covid safety protocols. Once in a while the wait it long, but that's given for this location. Gas station has fewer lines nowadays so you can be in and out in a few minutes. I always like to shop middle of the day here as it's less busy.
Only problem with Costco is you can't get out of there without spending $200. Go in for a hotdog and come out with 6 deals as well as a $300 bill. Great place place though.
Good prices. In my opinion the membership fee should not exist or be reduced it is not fair. Maybe work a stage program outlining levels of advantages benefits this would expand their base.
Efficient, prices were good and not crazy busy. A little rough with the groceries at checkout, but overall good. Oh and the poutine, mmm…..
I like to meet the owner of Costco, he must be very ingenious
Quick in and and great service from cashier
The checkout staff were busy talking about whats better for gaming pc or ps5. Pretty much ignoring the customer. The only bright side was they did provide 2 additional boxes when requested multiple times. The store was out ofat least 4 items that i like to buy sparkling ice cattle boys bbq sauce. Thai salad and cheese curds .so instead of a 600 dollar order it was 558 plus membership.
Same great pricing and variety. But Smaller and a lot busier than the bigger locations for a general weekday even. We didn’t get some items that we do at other locations but if you have a set general list, go for it !
This Costco is my favorite because it never gets crazy busy expect for Saturdays. Quick and easy with gas available too.
The new commercial costco is awesome, took me 6 months to get in there but for those items you use a lot of they offer a better buy for sure. Always looking for a way to save some cash and costco provides!
I have been shopping at the Queensway Store for many years over the Christmas holidays I shop around $350 the cashier called out for a manager, a guy came over and said you guys shop a lot here so Costco wants to give you free membership if you pay $15 now you will not pay to renew. What a scam, and Liar my renewal reminder came in the mail. I am wondering how many people this happened to.This took away from all the great experiences it’s all I think about.
Quality products. Great staff. Good parking.
Always get what I need. When needed, staff is great to find info on stock or where.
Always a joy to visit Costco! Only complaint is that we always spend too much money there. We bad! Would have given it 5 stars, but no more samples since COVID.
Been shopping at Costco for years. The best thing is that I am rarely if ever disappointed with the quality of the products they have. Whether it's electronics, groceries, clothes, or household items, you just know what they have will meet your needs!
Like any Costco, has great prices and quality. But: 1) this Costco is particularly crowded and parking is often difficult to find; and 2) the product selection is not reliable with some products disappearing week to week for no obvious reason.
I bought a projector that if I watched 24 hours a day would take me over 2 years to burn out the bulb after 4 months when it did burn out I called the Sudbury location store a lady assured me I can return it I also called the online phone number and they assured me as well I did this because I live two hours away from the location. Once I arrived at the store they said sorry no can do. I showed them my phone records stating the times I did speak with customer service and they denied that I did so and refused to pull up thier recording or attempt to find the person I was speaking too needless to say I wasted 6 hours of my life and have a 800 dollar purchase that is completely useless I would rate 0 starts if I could.
Costco vision centre is terrible. Products, service, frames... I usually don’t complain about Costco. Most of the other products are above market’s average. However my experience with vision centre was terrible. I had to use the glasses since the insurance pays only every two years. I will replace my glasses in this year in several months. But I won’t be even going close to costco for that.
Great. They clean your cart and offer masks. Just stay away from the genius customers who refuse to wear the mask.
Met the love of my life here so I'm biased to this location. I know a few of the staff and absolutely adore how unique everyone is.
Don't go through with someone who's not on the membership and pay with debit and cash. I was buying a lot but they wouldn't believe that the order wasnt all mine. So the cashier called over the supervisor, he said I'd have to pay for all of it with the debit which my name is on. Went to customer service to complain, but they had all ready put back all my grocceries. I had to get them all over again. I wasn't happy, but atleast they opened a cash so I wouldn't have to stand in line again. Big deal.
Staffs are helpful and treated me nice. I got help right away when I needed someone to load my portable ac in my car. And the price of ac was good. Thanks Costco
Go when it opens, place gets really busy.
Haven't had the greatest experience with returns. Usually goes well but sometimes they talk down to you when returning. We spend thousands of dollars a year here and the return policy states no questions asked. But this isn't the case. Maybe change your sign, Costco.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received so far. My son convinced me to purchase a fridge from Costco telling me that they have the best customer service he has ever seen. So we purchased a fridge on November 15 and delivery was to be November 29/19. To date I still don't have the fridge, no one can tell us where it is and then we were told that this would escalated and that we would hear back from someone in two to three business days, that was over a week ago and we have yet to hear anything. Costco you have had my money for a month now but I am still without a fridge. Shame on you.
I purchased a executive card on friday i havent been in that store for yrs however i was very happy with my purchases. The staff i did have interaction with were very friendly.
Costco is great. Today had to buy flowers and to my surprise couple roses have been cut and just stuck into bouquet. This is unexceptable, and must be identified as such and in no way can have full price. This was a gift and turned out to be an embarrassment....
Love Costco, like that they will only take a nominal % of profit on any item. Same employees for years which is a testament to being a good place to work.
While I love Costco, I have a love/hate relationship with this location. The parking here is absolutely atrocious and it's always busy. I don't find the staff overly friendly as a whole but there are a few who are helpful and pleasant. The photo center is a hit or miss as well. Sometimes they are curtious and prompt, other times, not so much. Now that I'm done complaining, the optometrist here is great. They are easy to get an appointment with, thorough, and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of glasses for both adults and children, at a very reasonable price. They have changed lenses for frames that I didn't even buy there for a better price then the original company I bought them from. The people working in this department are always friendly. I find the produce a little lacking. You really have to check the big bags of apples and pears because 9 times out of ten they have moldy ones in them, and the milk always seems to expire before the best before date. The tire center is always busy but they are very helpful.
Fantastic pharmacy. The pharmacists and staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Great rates on Gas fir members, crowded as usual, well stocked.
I love Costco but I honestly don't like going there. When ordering online the prices are a bit higher than the carry and go price otherwise I would definitely prefer shopping online. This location is always jam packed (during lockdown the did an AMAZING job of crowd control) it's very difficult to maneuver around and people who go there seem like they are in a rush all the time they try to squeeze their carts by you or use the carts to scoot you over when they need something from where you are standing. They constantly rearrange the warehouse so you can't guarantee to find what you're looking for the same place you found it last and not to mention the season items, there should be some sort of indication that the item is only seasonal (obviously not for something like freezes but like BBQ sauce or weiners). It's also hard to find staff that can answer questions, almost always told "I'm not from this section" or "if we have it it should be around" if need be I save my visits for just twice a month I honestly can't deal with it more times than that.
Excellent prices and excellent service. I love how their stock is always rotating for newer fresher things. Their return policy is also second to none. I had a treadmill that messed up halfway into the year and because I live so far from Costco I did not have a chance to return it for another year after. Costco gladly reimbursed me no problem at all and I was on my merry way to purchase more great Costco products with the return money I received. The upper level membership is also another plus. We just received points for over 200 dollars for our last years membership. Those dollars really add up especially at xmas time.
Good deals but very busy....customer service lied about being able to give day passes on the phone so unexpectedly had to buy membership when arrived.
If you want to feel like you're part of a herd, visit Costco. The prices are great but the experience is horrendous. I always feel like it brings out the worst of humanity.
Like most costco's I've been in, good selection and well stocked. Gas bar. The parking lot at this location is terrible.
I like that this location seems to move at a quicker pace than others (especially during COVID). Also, they have a large selection of things before the location close to my house (Scarborough location).
As always the service at Sudbury Costco is impeccable. I went in a couple of weeks ago to buy coffee that was on coupon and they had none left. They told me that there would be some the next day and when I returned, because of inclement weather, there still wasn't any. The manager said that next time I'm in to speak with him and he would give me the same discount. I returned a week later and the other duty manager was working and when I mentioned it to him he gave me the discount on the coffee no questions asked. Then, today when I was at Costco the original manager that I had spoken with saw me. He flagged me down and asked if I still wanted the coffee. Now thsts service!! I then thanked him and told him that I already got it. Once again thanks!!
So went to purchase a replacement car battery for my daughter's car. Not only do they not provide any assistance with selecting the correct battery, they would not even let us in the store with the old battery to ensure we had the right …
I love Costco. I love the quality and variety and good value. I enjoy looking at the displays and munching on free food. It is almost recreational.
Great place to shop and eat as always. Friendly staff is always helpful and kind.
With an appointment from the tire centre, even after booking online. I waited over two hours to get my summer to winter tires swapped all on their own rims. If you have one set or rims, expect to wait even longer. I arrived half an hour before my appointment to make sure I'm the first one in that time slot, as they book many appointments per slot. Even with arriving early, 2 hours later, I'm still waiting for my car. If you value your time, I would go to an actual dealership to have your tires swapped, or any local tire shop. My job should have been done in under 20-30mins. What's the point of having an appointment if you still need to wait 2 hours for your car? What a joke!
The 149 Street Costco needs to speed up their process. If they are going to continue to insist on checking each customer's purchases as they leave the store then they need to have at least a minimum of two people doing this. On my visit today the line for leaving the store was ridiculously long and took a few minutes to get through. Also, the layout for this store is awful once you get through the till or self-checkout line. It chokes down to a point where there is only room for one line of people leaving. Not a very good Costco compared to others in the area.
Suplply chain issues like everywhere else. Also have people gotten more annoying or stupider since the beginning of Covid? Complete lack of common sense in the aisles...keep your video chats for after Costco!!!
Covid has probably caused the shortages, but I found there were no queen-sized sheet sets, and no kitchen utensils ie slotted spoons, turners etc. Those are the items I went looking for. Otherwise the store was clean and laid out as expected.
Jamie at customer service was fantastic. Answered questions with knowledge and she was very friendly. Costo needs more people like her.
Always a good experience..have my faves
Costco is great. However, the new computerised system for their cafeteria is a royal pain. I'd much rather the personal interaction than to order through a screen. We were going to order 4 meals but left because of the process.
The store is attractive because they offer an incredible amount of stuff for an extremely low price.
Saturday morning doors open before posted times. Around 9:15 am is like a whole new experience. Very enjoyable. No parking problems, no line ups, no congestion or crowding. No samples or vultures. Best advice ever.
If you've been to a Costco, you don't need to read this review. It's like all the others, and it's excellent.
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was in and out of the store. Quite a few shoppers but most tills open and moved very quickly. Shelves were fully stocked. Nice to see some "normal" again
Staff was not helpful, they couldn't care what day it was
The lineups now are crazy, sometimes 2 hours to get in, then do a quick shop and get checked out. Not convenient, but they dont want to increase hours to help spread the traffic. They are making it crowded and slow for trying to keep a social distance. Bad for seniors,as the line ups are worse and start at 7:15 am.
No lines, everything I needed was available. Some items extra $$ in store rebate.
Absolutely best shopping experience ever. Came from Toronto to buy something that I could not find anywhere locally at that time in early Aug. Mike and Samantha were great help.
Things in bulk and at good prices the tills moved very quickly you were in and out of there in no time
I find this Costco to be busier than the other locations that I've been to but sometimes better deals on clearance items. Usual Costco, lots of quality products at be low-typical prices, if you're willing to buy in large quantities.
I have to admit, I go to Costco every week while my daughter is at her dance school. You really can’t beat the prices. One thing I’ve learned from going every week is that if you see something you want to buy (clothing) buy it. You will risk the chance of going a week or so later and they no longer have it. The line at the gas station is always long as the cost for gas is worth lining up but the lines go fast. I am a Costco junkie!
Unfortunately husband’s Costco card can’t use for wife oops…
Best place to shop: Very competitive price and employees are very cordial. Unfortunately they discontinued Illy Coffee and they have not enough lactose free or vegan products..
I have been happy to shop at this location for many years. Haven't been going as often lately due to COVID 19 and the increased time it has taken to get groceries. Yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised how efficient my shop was in a store that looked very clean and organized. The only complaint I had was at the till where I found the cashiers to be abrupt and demanding. While I was careful to follow instructions to not touch everything, they felt right at home grabbing the pillow I bought, with their dirty disposable gloves and leaving fingerprint marks on the pillow. If COVID-19 needs to be observed by us, the customers, then I also think the cashier should carefully handle the merchandise and be sure their hands are clean.
This location is our "Home Costco", it is very close to us; most of our shopping spending comes from here. Employees are knowledgable and helpful if needed. And a pharmacy department is the best in this location. This store is so busy, that sometimes products are bought so fast, and it takes a week or two to be in stock again. We are almost every day there, and we enjoy time while shopping. Did not like car repair department, as it is so difficult to get a reasonable appointment time, well it was personal experience.
Great place to shop with pathetic customer service managers. Watch out for the price on shelf and on bill can differ and when you point it out they make faces under the masks of course now!
This is the worst managed Costco in Edmonton area. Long till lines and no staff to assist with this. Too many crowded areas for the present covid rules. Staff seems unhappy and rude.
Great stock and deals weekly! Best times to go are during dinner or lunch, but avoid on the weekends. Especially Saturday when families go out as the place is packed. They’ve done a decent job keeping everyone safe during covid and even have designated early hours for vulnerable people, such as elderly and pregnant women.
Good store, staff are friendly and professional. Good selection of typical Costco items. Photo center is now closed permanently.
Always helpful staff. Very busy place but quick checkout.
Great experience obtaining a membership very professional service
Costco has unique products and excellent prices, but it seems that it comes at a cost. Worst customer service ever, particularly at Laird Road and Etobicoke. And what's with changing items from one place to another all the time? Do they honestly think people enjoy walking all over the place just to find one item?
I went to the early Seniors shopping hour on Thursday and was very impressed with the way it was organized. Everything was done to maintain social distancing, wipes were handed out at the door, and there was lots of space because it was limited to Seniors only. I only had one person ahead of me at the checkout and was out in an hour. I felt safe the entire time. Well done, Costco.
Costco is a great bulk shopping experience. They have food, clothing, electronics, and just about everything else you can think of. Love the free samples they have at busier times and have tried foods I wouldn't have normally tried. You need to have some storage for the bulk items. The electronic items I have purchased there have been quality and a reasonable price.
Love going to Costco for meats and groceries. Also like checking out clothes and misc. Items. Short line-ups and went thru cash quickly.
Store is a hit or miss when it comes to friendly staff. I tried to returned something at one point in time. And I got turned away it was a shirt that didn’t fit. The staff told me that this place wasn’t place where you can returned anything you want. I know this to be false but I wasn’t going to argue. I had staff want to look at my debit card to insure that I was the owner of the debit card. Since you can share memberships. Meanwhile the lady in front of me had her “husband card” but he wasn’t present. Place is well organized. Always new stock coming in. Beside the hit and miss of friendliness of staff. My go to place. For shopping
A little disappointed in pricing. They aren't very competitive. Prices at super markets are so close it's hardly worth the gas and the long long lines. The snack bar is what earned them 3 stars. But Pepsi yuck! Limited options for sugar free.
Its Costco... nuff said. Still cheap still packed
Normally the experience is good. Today I went to the store to return something and the line up was huge while.lines at the tills were non-existent. And costco "policy" is that if you have a return you cant shop with it even if it's bagged and tagged like every other retail store Costco... shame shame, normally they are leaders here they are clearly laggards.
It's a nice store, I enjoy shopping here. However, there is a VERY VERY large need for extended parking, either above or below ground. I understand there is likely a large cost associated with it, but finding parking here is often a challenge. It took me almost 45 minutes to find a spot which I only needed for 15 minutes to pick up the glasses I ordered.
It's everything I expect... and more! Many times I've filled up on premium gas for about the same price as other locations that are charging for regular. Staff are as friendly as they need to be for efficiency and customer service. Prices are wonderful on many things, not to great on other items... get over it. You can purchase those items at another store. I only shop here about once a month (including gas fillips), and I still save far more than my membership fees. For singles it's still worth it if you are willing to compromise your lifestyle somewhat. They don't have everything.
It's a Costco so you know what to expect. Overall a good one compared to the others I've been to. Staff here is generally pretty nice. Lots of people who don't know how to drive so I recommend parking away from the crowds.
Good location for the most part the reason im giving it 2 stars is i find the food court is never well kept, the tables are always dirty everytime i go, i always see people having to wipe and clean off there table, for a place that busy someone should be in the food court fulltime. I go once a week and its never changed. I would expect better from Costco. Update, been 2 years since originally writing this review and it remains the same still a disappointment in the food court. Step up management!
Nice Costco. Not that crowded as others. Everyone had great service (optometry, stockers...) except our cashier Josielyn , rudest person here just trying to get your money and get you out, not even a hello or aknowledging us, she was just gossiping with the girl helping her put the stuff in the carts. Felt like we were interrupting them.
I believe Costco has a standard service allover so nothing to critique
I usually go to the 50th street one because its close to home. Its always very fast there. The line today at 2 was pretty long. When staff saw things weren't moving very fast though they jumped into action and opened some more tills up!
Great selection of the usual Costco products. However, the aisles are very narrow and the shoppers are not very self aware. Bad combo.
Poutine and hotdog. Take out only still at the moment and no toppings (onions, peppers, etc.) You are also not allowed to take your food into the store to eat while you shop. Otherwise, all of the food choices are back and they are as tasty as always.
Best pizza. 10/10.
I was at this place last night and was very surprised when the cashier's assistant drew attention to my bag (fabric bag from another store) and said: "Do you know how we usually serve customers with these bags?". Then I asked him not to touch my bags and purchases and leave me alone, that he completely ignored. Just did not have time to deal with this ***.
What to say, Costco is Costco. They provided all you need in good price but in bulk quantity. Sometimes, I hesitate to go Costco if I do not think of anything to buy as shopping without purpose in Costco can still easily make you spend over $100 But Costco is still good. Quality good in good price. Period
