I have been getting contacts and glasses from Lane at Hakim for 10+ years. I live a great distance away now but for the quality of customer service that I have received each and every time - I journey without regret. I am completely shocked to see negative reviews at this place of business.

I have seen Layne for years, at Hakim Optical Masonville. For glasses, and contacts. He is an awesome optician, with years of experience. He is very knowledgeable, and can answer any questions you might have. He is super friendly, and makes you feel valued as a customer. The same can be said for his colleague Danyelle, who is also awesome. Danyelle is great at helping you find the right frames. To fit your face, and personality. I love my galaxy blue glasses. While appearing as Star Lord at last year's comic con, I got an eye infection, from my contacts. Doctor Sadighi, and Layne, took the time to explain what happened. They reasured me that I would be alright, as I was very worried at the time. The eye drops I was prescribed fixed things. I was extremely greatful. Afterwards, when getting a new pair of glasses, Meenu cheered me up. My financial situation had changed. But Meenu found me a new, and improved, pair of galaxy blue glasses, that I could afford. I am extremely greatful, for the awesome customer service I have recieved over the years. Hakim Optical Masonville is the best in the galaxy.

The Hakim itself is perfectly fine with a great and accommodating staff. Unfortunately the eye doctor is absolutely horrible. Very late, double booked and expected us to just sit and wait after an hour of waiting and rude on top of it. If it was possible to give her a negative rating i would have. I want to again stress that Hakim is great and the eye doctor Dr. Neda Sedighi I'd the problem. Very unprofessional and i would recommend a different testing place.

I have been to a lot of eye glass stores looking for amazing frames and great customer services who are honest and know there stuff, well Masonville hakim optical, is that place. Sarah one of the employees is kind and can really help you find the perfect place and the deals there are out of this world.

The business entity has been operating for years and STILL 'isn't set up for NIHB billing.' Wow. It's 2018. First Nations, Métis & Inuit people...avoid this place like the plague. Surrounded by 9 reserves...again, just wow.

Waited 5 months for my glasses to be returned after a repair. Took Multiple phone calls to even figure out what happened. Terrible communication between staff members. No apology or acknowledgement of their terrible service.

I had a quite good experience here contrary to many reviews here. I changed my lenses and the service was great. The young man who works there was nice and offered to adjust my frame as it needed to be tightened, and even replaced a faulty screw for free.

The frames section of this store is quite nice, lots of options and help/friendly staff. However, I definitely do not recommend getting your eye exam here. Disgustingly dirty, very old equipment, not necessarily sanitary, and not the most friendly. She called ahead of time to ask how my boyfriend would be paying? She did not have any record of my appointment I booked online, despite the confirmation email I received. Cobwebs everywhere, dusty floors, and older equipment that she did not wipe down between patients. $90 and I'm not even sure I trust her prescription.

Just HORRIBLE customer service. The blonde girl working at Masonville is rude and she is the manager doesn't know how to talk to an old man. She just refused to help me and said NO APPOINTMENT ,NO ADJUSTMEMT. Where is Layne? he was really nice. I am not going back there.

Absolutely the worst experience purchasing glasses I have ever had. I was assisting with the purchase of prescription eyewear for someone without the means to purchase them for themselves and I have never encountered such terrible service, in North London none the less. From the moment they realized the individual had Ontario Works benefits all respect and service was removed even though it was made clear that the benefits would unlikely be used and cash would be paid for the full amount. When the eyewear was picked up they were handed over in a clear baggy and I had to request a case for them and was handed a ridiculously oversized geriatric pouch, no courtesy cloth, no cleaner, ZERO SERVICE. HORRIFIC SALES AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS, TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER. This wasn't an isolated situation and I have just had enough of this place. Unbelievable that you can take $265 for a pair of low grade basic glasses and not only was it an inconvenience for your business to dispense but you did it in a way that even a kiosk at a flee market selling $10 sunglasses would find unacceptable. I live in North London and my household purchases 8+ pairs of glasses a year and Hakim will never see the likes of me or my many referrals again. GO TO iVISION OVER IN THE MALL AND GET TREATED LIKE A RESPECTABLE LONG-TERM APPRECIATED CUSTOMER. Shame on you Hakim

Very friendly folks here at Hakim. They were able to find a replacement frame for my glasses and covered the cost even though it was out of warranty. I bought the frame at another location and they were still able to do that, which is awesome.

I am so happy with the service I received at the Masonville location today!! Sarah is great with customers, she was very helpful shopping for frames, explaining the benefits of each option and definitely won me over as a customer. I will be back again for sure. Great job Masonville employees!

Avoid this place!! They put the wrong prescription in 2 pairs of glasses, the frames of one pair began falling apart after 2 months, brought them in for repair and was promised that they would be mailed to me in a week and 3 weeks later they haven't arrived. They will "look into it." Awful place.

Very disappointed. New to London. First time dealing with Hakim. My glasses took 8 weeks. I had to keep calling to ask about the delay. Apparently they weren't happy with the coating and sent them back twice. They should have called me to tell me the problem instead of me having to keep calling. Not sure what they used for the coating but they are constantly smudged. I have never had a coating before and my glasses never got dirty like these. Hate them. I will not deal with Hakim again.

Went here for the first time as I used to go to iVision which has been taken over and made a mess by Vogue Optical. When I arrived I was told they couldn't help me because the Optician who take measurements etc. would not be in for another hour. Isn't this like opening a drug store at a certain time and telling customers 'the pharmacist won't be in for another hour?'

Poor quality for an expensive price. I have had my pair for less than a year, within the first 3 months the arms detached from the frame, I went back for a replacement. About 4 months later they've done it again, both times for no reason. I take very good care of my glasses, I do not have $500 dollars to waste. This is very inconvenient and feels like a waste of my hard earned money. I will not be recommending this place to friends. Very disappointed in the quality since I loved the frames so much, I'm not even going to waste my time getting a new pair for it to break again.

Our family has been seeing Lane at this location for well over 10 years and we are absolutely satisfied with his professionalism, quality of work, and knowledge. Lane stands by his work and will gladly support you if anything needs to be corrected. Lane's customer service is the best and I highly recommend him as an optician.

I came to the masonville location this morning to get my glasses adjusted and the Asian girl who answered the door was extremely nice and was able to help me even though I didn’t have an appointment. I wish it was posted on the website that they only accept customers by appointment, but that’s okay because she helped me anyway! I will be coming back in a few months to purchase my glasses. Great job!

Called today to get information about buying 4 pairs of glasses and Dan**ielle was very shady about answering my questions. She did not want to answer my inquiry with genuine help or honesty, but instead decided to provide promotional information she feIt I needed as she would prefer to upsell me on everything. Please don't decide what you think I need, just answer the questions honestly. People appreciate that and can come to their own conclusions. Not visiting again.
