The clinic staff greeted me with big smiles and were very friendly. The staff seemed to have a lot of product knowledge and were very helpful and patient with me as I tried on a lot of different glasses. My eye exam appointment was on time, and overall I had a very pleasant experience and will definitely be back for my next appointment !! :)

Our three year-old toddler was pretty anxious and restless at the beginning of his visit to the optometrist. However, his favourite part was playing looking games with the optometrist! (His least favourite was waiting for his dad to see the optometrist.) What a wonderful experience at the eye doctor!

I drive from edmonton to here. Best optometrist ever. At this clinic I deal with doctor mistry. What a wonderful human being. The man is awesome. He is knowledgeable, knows his stuff about the eyes. Engaging and answers all my questions. I can't imagine a better optometrist. Enough with the doc and let's get to the staff. They make me experience fun and easy. They are very welcoming and accommodating. Every time I needed to come in, they were helpful. They responded to all my requests either via email or phone calls. The selection of frames is great. Tons and tons of great glasses and frames. And great prices. The shop is located in the heart of st Albert. Lots of free parking. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed7.

I did not realize the difference there could be between eye exams. My previous clinic did not have half of these tests or take the time to explain my eyes to me like Dr. Mistry did. They have a scan that checks for macular degeneration which I have never had. It can also tell you if you are likely to have glaucoma. We looked at a cool picture of the inside of my eyes as well. It's crazy how things have changed from when I was a kid. I highly recommend this clinic. Great staff too.

Optometrists here are all pleasant and through. However, I started to doubt if the business is ethical. I emailed twice and called twice asking the final price of my daughter’s glasses lenses. I hope to have some extra dollars to purchase contacts lens for her. No reply via email and was told the glasses lenses cost $499 in the office. They claimed $499.98 for contacts (not glasses lenses) to my insurer. Then after my insurer declined the claim, they charged me $350. No one informed me and explained clearly why there was such a big gap and why they claimed the full amount of my insurance coverage without leaving any room for further purchase on contact lenses.

I could have given this clinic a 5 star if its not from the rudeness of the front staff lady. First of all there was a miscommunication of schedule where she gave the wrong time instead of the one in her system so I had to re-book for another week, she was never apologize and just said, "no,I don't know why you have the wrong time but your appointment is this time. When I came in for my appointment, she was rude from the start and in a hurry, unwilling to take questions, she seems like the one who doesn't want to be bothered. Will not book my appointment on this location anymore. The other one in downtown Edmonton is much better. They know what their doing, very professional when dealing with clients and much nicer.

I was a student doctor during my rotational period at this clinic and I spent extensive time with Dr. Patel and Dr. Mistry, where their primary objective was providing the best patient care and experience. Their attention to detail is at the highest level I have seen, which is probably why they have one of the most up-to-date technological devices in their clinic. I certainly feel confident in my abilities, thanks to these two individuals, for instilling scientific excellence and the promise to providing the best care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Came in here yesterday for a last minute eye exam. Not only were they willing to fit me in, Dr. Mistry took the extra time to address my concerns with my vision and was willing to let me know which tests were unnecessary unlike other clinics. It was nice to have an honest organization and professionalism. The staff all took the time to talk to me and help me out even searching what I had concerns about. All topped off by the magic they did when they had exactly the hugo boss frame I had wanted in the color that I really wanted which I hadn't been able to find at many other eye glass locations. These guys are a phenomenal and amazing when it comes to keep you happy. Thank you!

Was my clinic of choice! I called today with an emergency...and the receptionist basically said sorry, we’re busy, call another clinic. Thankfully I got in with another clinic (that I had never been to before...!)... my vision was completely impaired, I was worried and in pain! Maybe if you were willing to take the time to help (like the other clinic) then you would have kept a loyal patient!! ...In regard to your response, I wouldn’t say that it’s completely accurate. Suggesting that I go to your other clinic (on the other side of Edmonton) in nine hours wasn’t a reasonable alternative for me. Thankfully, I was able to see an ophthalmologist quickly because I had a bad case keratitis in my left eye (that left me unable to see). I’m sure you can appreciate that being in this position brought on a fair bit of anxiety... I turned to your clinic due the severity of the pre-existing condition in my other eye, which added to my anxiety, and to the tension of the situation. Being without vision, and in a lot of pain, was difficult. As opposed to an apology, I find your response to be defensive. This emulates the complete lack of emotion that I was seeking in the first place. To me, being available for emergencies is something that I expect from a health service provider. The gentlemen that answered the phone didn’t even ask for my name...so appreciate the best guess....

I was so disappointed when I finished my appointment she told me my insurance was not valid until December of 2017. The person I booked with didn't tell me that. It seems they just wanted my money.

St. Albert Optometrists' Clinic will forever be my favorite place to go (and bring my family and friends) for eye exams and glasses. Kind and beyond accommodating are just some of the ways I can describe every one at this clinic. The doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and they take the time to educate me about my eye health. Initially I went to a local medi centre to see a doctor about a possible eye infection. The doctor recommended I see an optometrist or go to the hospital immediately. It was late afternoon and I didn’t think I had any chance of getting in to my regular optometrist, but when I called from the medi centre, St. Albert Optometrists’ Clinic, they managed to squeeze me in right away. The staff and Drs. took excellent care of me and had me come back 2 more times to ensure their treatment was working. I was a mess and they had me back to normal in a few days. Highly recommend this clinic! Thank you to everyone at the clinic!!

we are not happy with my husbands sunglasses. The lenses keep falling out of the frames. Been back there 3 times now. We really like our Dr.'s but I wont buy glasses there again. Very Disappointed!!????

My whole family has been going to this clinic for the past several years. The doctors are fantastic - informative and great with kids. They were quick to assess some issues that had previously not been picked up on. The actual "shop" has a great selection of frames at a very competitive price. Ray, is the optician, and he is absolutely one of a kind. His knowledge and ability to fit progressive lenses in frames is unbelievable! I had a terrible experience at another shop in st. albert, and not only did Ray take the time to determine what the issue was in glasses bought somewhere else, but he assisted me in getting me into a new set of glassess where I can see well far and up close now....(and I am really quite blind!)...I will not shop anywhere else. The best optician I have ever come across!

The staff was friendly enough but their vision was monetary and not patient oriented. I got a very fast contact lenses fitting that did me no good and then was sent home with the wrong right and left identification on the boxes. The next time I visited, I was told I basically could either choose to see far or see near. Again, no help. Then I called to make a new appointment and was greeted with a man hacking and coughing on the phone. I finally asked him to stop coughing in my ear. RUDE. Worst $60 I ever spent. I would not recommend this business to anyone!

I had a horrible experience with this place. I was a few minutes late due to going to the wrong FYI doctors as I live 4 hours away and not familiar with the place. I tried to look up a phone number as I could not find it, it was not on the text provided. So I put it into my GPS so I could get to the right destination as quickly as I could. I was driving around in the loop looking for FYI doctors as I could not see the sign anywhere. when I booked I was certain I booked at St.Albert mall. When the lady called me to let me know I was late for my appointment I tried to tell her my situation and why I was a few minutes late she told me I was going to have to rebook my appointment. I tried to tell her why and she did not give me the time or day to explain, she rudely told me on the phone “ I will speak with the optometrist, get here when you can” click. When I arrived the younger lady at the desk was also very ignorant and rude to me. I tried to tell her what happened they didn’t seem to care it was as if they needed to leave work because it was a Saturday, I felt as if I was a stray dog that walked into this building the way I was treated for being a few minutes late. The young lady told me I could not use my benefits that I wish to use because the place I deal with is not opened on weekends. I explained I booked 2 weeks ago for this appointment and gave the place I deal with enough time to process my benefits. The young lady told me it was not on my file not in her notes. She did not want to help me at all, when really it was not my fault. Finally some other lady from the back room came out and explained to the young lady that she remembers hearing the other receptionist dealing with me two weeks ago, so she looked into it and found what they needed. ( I had a great experience with the receptionist on the phone when I called two weeks ago that’s why I went with this FYI doctors, I had no issues). I was than told I was not going to get the full examination due to me being late which I understood it was my fault. Than the lady rudely tells me to sit in the chair, and was rude to me the whole time I was getting a pre exam done. Let me remind you I haven’t been to a eye doctor in over 19 years, I had no idea what to expect. I finally met the optometrist he was nice to me, but I felt he was in a rush to get out of there too. I will not be returning to this location again and I highly don’t recommend this location unless you want to be treated like a dog. Very unprofessional behaviour.

Lovely service! The staff - from the reception to the pre-test room and in the examination room - were very friendly and helpful, providing me with an abundance of information for my eye health. The doctor was thorough and took the time to explain my results along with the latest machine technology that they are equipped with. And the selection of eyewear is great! A range in styles and brands offered that will satisfy anyones personality. Recommending for both eye exams and finding that perfect pair :)
