MDO has really taken care of me and helped me step up my style and find a frame that suits me. Everything is personalized and they take a ton of care with each customer. I high recommend MDO.

I was here today looking for some new glasses. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing every single staff member was here. Very welcoming and wanted to make sure I had the right pair. Although I did not find a pair to suit my desired style here, I would highly recommend them. The customer service was above and beyond and there was a lot of selection in trendy, in style pieces.

Loved the experience of purchasing glasses here. The staff was really friendly and helpful when it came to choosing a frame. I felt like the really cared about my experience and wanted me to love what I was purchasing. They also have great deals on, the first time I went in they had 30% off all frames and the second time I went in they had 150$ off all frames. The store is also very aesthetically pleasing, it feels very high quality. Good people, good place!

Grant has been seeing Doug for years to get frames and lenses. We stopped in last week to get his glasses adjusted so, I was passing the time and playfully trying on frames, when a pair caught Grants eye and he said, "Here, try these on!" I did and loved them. I do believe they have the best selection of frames I have ever seen. This morning I went in for my eye exam and in just two short weeks I will have my new amazing glasses. As a long time customer, I have had many years of great service when visiting MDO. They provide many styles of eyeglasses and you are guaranteed to find a pair that suits your needs. MDO not only provides quality service to meet your eye needs, they are also a HUGE supporter in the community, specifically, female athletes. MDO has supported the University of Alberta Pandas soccer program for the last few years and with their help have given these female athletes the support they deserve, so they can perform their best on and off the pitch. The staff is absolutely AMAZING!!! This was my first visit, as soon as I walk into the door this gentleman points to me and says " I want to help you find the perfect glasses". Made me feel pretty welcomed that he is there to help me. I had the eye exam first and the Dr was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything to me quite easily. I was quite intrigued with all there new machines for eye exams that I never seen before at other places. After my exam I go over to the frame section and the Dr says she'll find someone to help me out. Then the gentleman I saw earlier comes out of his office and says " I will be helping this lady out". Doug was the gentleman that I was dealing with made this experience incredible. They bring glasses to you in which work with the shape of your face and your personality. I love how he asked questions to get to know you better and also what you're looking for. I found 2 pairs there which I love, these glasses are fashionable so price is a bit higher. I don't mind paying a bit more for such great and unbelievable service. They take the time to deal with you and understand what you want. I highly recommend coming here, they treat you like a person and not just another walk-in client.

My niece was able to see an optometrist on site before selecting frames and they were ready the next day! Overall an excellent selection and very attentive service.

Doug and Deb and the entire team here at MDO are phenomenal at what they do and what they offer. My children and I will never go anywhere else for any eyewear needs. They are friendly, professional, compassionate and knowledgable about their product. We have never received less than 100% perfect service at MDO. Our glasses were ready on time, the staff called us and let us know when they arrived. When we picked up our glasses Douglas took extra time and care to teach my daughters how to properly care for their glasses and all of the staff made a big fuss over how great they looked which made them feel so special!! Thank you for everything you do!! I will recommend you to everyone and hope anyone who needs glasses will stop by your store and become lifelong customers like we have! My family and I have been dealing with MDO for years but I haven't met Kristy before and I usually deal with Deb or Doug. My first pair of lenses this time around weren't working for me. I had to see the optometrist again for a recheck and we realized what was wrong. I had been in twice before to have adjustments on the frames because my vision was skewed but new lenses were required from the recheck and they were ordered and put in on with further fit adjustments by Kristy. I'm very sensitive and I'm a bit of a pain and Kristy was more than patient and while I have a hard time trusting people with my eyes because I am so happy with her effort and communication and patience and I know if I need to go back for new lenses next year, I will see her. So thank you so much Kristy!

MDO is AH-MAZE-ING!!!!! You will experience the best customer service upon entering the store. You are always greeted with a smile by a staff member who is more than happy to help you with whatever your needs may be. You are guaranteed to find a unique pair of glasses that look amazing on you and the best part is there won’t be a million people walking around with the same glasses as you. You will feel cared for and listened to and like you have a new friend and I can promise you that you will walk out feeling better than you did walking in. You have to check them out!

This place is like no other experience I have had with buying glasses. You have a one on one session with an optician. They will help guide you to your perfect pair of glasses. It's more of a consult verses pick and choose at your leisure.

I had new lenses put in my glasses that I purchased in Europe and I was very impressed by the customer service. The other day I took my Lanvin sunglasses in for new nose pads and they changed them free of charge. WOW! I was again very impressed by their service as I had not purchased these from them. I will surely be back when I need new eyewear. Definitely one of St. Alberts best places for unique designer eyewear.

They seem like they know what they are doing as long as you don't have any opinions for yourself. When I asked for a certain style, I was told that they don't carry anything like that because they are old fashioned. Which I thought was a pretty tactless way to talk to a customer. Also, the person who helped me yelled at me the whole time, so the entire store heard my history. I guess she never heard of an inside voice. On the whole, I was very uncomfortable, won't be going back there.

I highly recommend MDO! Best place to get glasses! My mom struggled with poorly fitted, crooked glasses for way too long until I took her to MDO! They are the only place who found glasses she likes AND fit her face. Doug took the time to ask my super conservative mom about her daily routine and style to make sure he found the perfect fit. My mom now has two new pairs of specs (regular and sunnies) and she is so happy she can see again! The lens quality is superb, especially for people like my mom who have aging eyes with special needs. You won’t go wrong with MDO!!

Every couple years when it's time for new glasses I can't help but get really excited for my visit to MDO. They are, hands down, the best choice for glasses that I have come across and I have never left disappointed. Unlike a typical glasses store, you're asked a few questions and then they select frames that fit your style/budget/hobbies based on your answers. If there's something in particular you're looking for or a certain style you want to avoid then they will select frames accordingly. You can be specific or vague with what you're looking for and they will always make sure you leave looking spectacular. The staff are glasses experts with an eye for style and it shows after the compliments I've received about my various frames over the years. I've had the pleasure of being assisted by Kristy on a few occasions and every time she has gone above and beyond to find something that I love, answer any question I have, or fix my smooshed frames. Alicia picked out my last pair of glasses and months later I still find myself thinking about how they're the best frames I have ever owned with their stunning good looks, incredible durability and lack of weight. The stellar service doesn't stop there though as MDO offers incredible after sales support whether it's a simple adjustment or another unforseen issue down the road. Customer service is a very important part of my purchases and MDO is at the top of the pack with very few others. Their service is what keeps me coming back and is the reason I will continue to recommended them to others.

Really great selection but left sadly disappointed. Spent a bundle on some snappy sunglasses to find they all went on sale before we picked them up. Refused to honour the sale price. Nice selection but make sure not to buy anything here at full price!

I called two other optical shops for a quick frame fix and both explained they wouldn’t fix the glasses unless they were purchased at their store, even for a fee. Not only did MDO fix my frames for me (not purchased with them), when I went to pay they told me not to worry about it. Super friendly, helpful staff, and they’ve definitely earned a customer going forward. Although, just a heads up, Google maps has the address as 140 St Albert Road, but it is 140 St Albert Trail. I Michael Scott’d my way to a loading dock behind Servus Place blindly following my GPs. That’s kinda on me.
