I have used Hakim Optical before (Manning Crossing), with good results. So, when it became time to get more glasses, I brought my husband along as well. My glasses took about a month - twice as long as they told me. Whenever I called in to check in, I was given excuses - no apology or acknowledgment of the lateness of the order. When my glasses were ready, they didn't call - I just happened to check in again and find out they were there. The wait was even worse for my husband. Even though we ordered our glasses at the same time (and his were only single vision lenses), his glasses took over 6 weeks to come in - and again, he only found out because he called. Then, when he went in, they couldn't find them. After some searching around, they found them - but they were the wrong frames (we will own that there's a small possibility that our memory is that bad, but we are about 95% sure that they were not the right frames). We wondered if the delay was because they lost the original frames and tried to pick a match (the silver colour was the same, but the style was different). When my husband asked about it, they denied any mistake was made. There was never an apology about the extreme delays, never an interest in trying to find a way forward to customer satisfaction. We are not likely to go back again, but recommend to others who do: be sure to take a picture of the frames you have chosen, and see your requests in writing, or you will have no way to follow up if they mess up your order.
