I am leaving a 1 start review for Dr. Johnson. I don't think all the doctors at this clinic are bad but with him I did not have a good experience. He prescribed me the wrong prescription twice and the third time I came back to try and have them fixed finally, he could not help me. On the phone he agreed the third lenses would be complimentary, then he changed his mind and decided the lenses would be only 20% off because I decided to buy new frames as well. His administrator said this was due to the exchange policy of their lab. She actually explained to me how exchanges work using roller blades as an example! They are acting like they cannot afford to cover 1 pair of lenses to honour their word to a patient. It was very disappointing.
Over the phone he told me I was taking advantage of his business because I insisted he honour the offer for complimentary lenses which we agreed upon. I gave him alternate offers to the 20% because I wanted to reach a mutual deal, and I need new glasses and he said "I don't want to keep negotiating with you". Very inflexible. He acts polite, but his actions speak very differently. Until now I still have glasses which don't function properly because of him. I felt like he only wanted to "help" me to a point and then he pulled back due to selfishness or something? I don't know why he refused to honour that deal. Again, by me buying new frames they are gaining a higher profit than the straight exchange! So yeah doesn't make sense to me how he thinks. He'd rather follow the policy to a T rather than satisfy a patient or make a profit. Confusing.
So yeah! I went to a new place today and their price for an eye exam is nearly half of this places, and they offered me BOGO free glasses. Maybe if your budget is high and you don't care about down to earth customer service this office would be fine, but for me it didn't suit my needs. Again, I know not every doctor and staff member here are rude, I have had very good experiences in the past 10 years that I've been going here, but not with Dr. Johnson.
