I've never had to wear glasses. My last eye appointment was probably about 15 years ago. I was very happy with the amount of information I recieved from Dr. Haugen about my eyes/sight. All the tests done were quick and painless and they were very detailed. Found out I needed glasses. Jaylene was more than helpful when it came to helping me search for the perfect pair of frames and letting me know prices and whatnot. Very pleasant experience all around.

I am a 2nd generation patient of central optometric now called FYI doctors or whatever. Some of the eye doctors are wonderful. But i was completely disgusted and grossed out when dr. carolyn haugen checked my eyes. My incident happened when i was about to place my chin into the chin rest for the eye exam, i looked at the chin rest and it was literally caked with crude from previous patients. Now this means 2 things, either there was a grimy little kid with food all on his face that had his chin in there before me, or this was a build up of body oils and dirt from many previous patients with absolutely no cleaning of equipment being down between patients. Either way the fact that the equipment was not sanitized between patients was such disgusting. I asked her to clean it and she did but i try to never see her if i can get away with it, but sometimes emergencies happen and i have to see her. I do noticed now that all the assistants use alcohol wipes to clean the chin and head rests on the equipment used before you see the drs the look down the road at the ballon and puff of air machines so hopefully the doctors are also cleaning things like this now. In closing you best believe i ALWAYS check the chin and head rest now before i stick my face on it!!

My usual optometrist is the 2nd ave location. They are usually pretty nice and the receptionists are very kind. I can't say the same about this location. I was asked by a friend to drop her glasses off to have them filled with lenses. She said I would be good to just go in and drop them off, but the older woman, the receptionist, was very callous and rude and didn't bother to try and understand what I was asking them. So I went and waited with the other person (the other woman was the technician I think?) and she was also very rude. What I feel like should have been an in-and-out sort of thing ended up being me waiting for 20 minutes to talk to someone who was actually trying to understand what it is I wanted. I don't even understand why I was being treated with such callousness. I was just trying to do a favor for a friend and it was a terrible experience. I'll never step foot in here again. Honestly, I might just go elsewhere for my next appointment if this kind of business practice is in no way being regulated for optimal customer service experience.

real bad experience with Dr. Diakow. redone my prescription 3 times and still can not use these glasses . $600 waisted. went to Factory Optical good service and perfect glasses. will never refer FYI to anyone.

Very professional doctors with great educational implementation. I had an issue with my eyes fro 15 yrs but every time I see a optometrist, they found nothing. For the first time in 15 yrs., doctors at this location found that i have normal eyes with a very intense prism. This location have very advanced technology to check the real problem. I am really thankful to the doctor who actually found the issue and fixed it. Strongly recommend this place.

Called for an appointment and was going was booked until the end of April but they got me in the next day after there was some cancelations. All the staff are friendly and informative. Prices were good too. Recommend for anyone that thinks their eyesight is bad.

FYI is great! They got me in on a last minute appointment due to an error on my end trying to book online. Dr. Lacey was incredibly friendly, and makes you feel totally welcome. She went above and beyond. I didn't catch the name of the gal looking after me when I was getting my glasses, she was super polite, and her attitude shows she truly values her job. As long as I'm in PA, I'll definitely be back to see her. Seems to be an incredibly run location. Thanks for everything!
