Dr. Nielsen is the BEST! So patient, caring, knowledgeable, friendly, professional & helpful. She went above and beyond to help me figure out my prescription issues. I HIGHLY recommend booking your eye exams with her! Randy was equally as helpful in helping me with getting the right lenses that would work best for me. These 2 are an amazing team!
Service above and beyond! When my glasses broke and I needed them replaced in order to stay at work. Randy at FYidoctors came through. My glasses couldn't be repaired, and Randy picked me out new frames, fit my lenses and got me back to work. A million thank yous! You're the best.

Don’t waste your time with this optometrist office. Rude receptionist! I am new to the Truro area, I walked in to this office to obtain information about there services. I entered the business and was immediately yelled at by the receptionist demanding to know if I had an appointment as they only deal with people who have appointments and if I did not have an appointment I was to leave. In her words “and I am busy.” This person did not have the courtesy to ask why I was even in there business. I am quite happy to take my business and hard earned cash elsewhere.
The Staff here are absolutely dedicated to their patients and are some of the kindest people in town!!
I go here for eye exams, and recently my daughter got glasses from FYidoctors. The experience is always great. The people here take care of you, and they know their stuff too! Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Don't waste your money paying extra for scratch insurance on lenses. If it is considered a "gouge" and not a normal scratch it is not covered. Like most insurance policies they do everything they can to avoid paying for claims.
Good Eye Doctors, but not a sole would help me pick out glasses so I left
Always have a great experience here! The staff are awesome. One of our toddlers needed glasses, he was shy, but the staff was excellent with him.
During this pandemic the level of safety and professionalism here was outstanding. They were all very accommodating and helpful. More specifically, Kara was overly helpful in making sure I got the prescription sunglasses I wanted. I'm extremely picky, so had requested to have some ordered from RayBans based on what I was looking for. She ordered a few different pairs for sizing reasons to ensure I would find what I was looking for. Once I went in to try them on and decide she and another worker came to give their opinions, as I was stuck between two sizes. She was a very polite, social and energetic person to work with. It was obvious she cared about her customer. Thank you for being awesome, Kara!
Great staff, Sam you Rock!!! Didnt think I was going to like my frames; even though you did your best to find something close to what I wanted. Now that I am home I love them,, plus the complements are a bonus. Looking forward to my 2nd pair.
I purchased glasses from FYI last year and had a good experience. I recommended FYI to my wife. She had her eye appt and ordered glasses. Said it would take 3 weeks at most. They never called to report anything. Tried calling numerous times getting either a message or asked to leave a message. Finally got through and said the lenses arrived but were cracked on installation. The replacement lens would arrive within two days. That was 11 days ago. Still no call back. Left messages or just got a message that they weren’t open although on that day their website showed they were open. Sent an email, no reply. Finally after several attempts, we got an answer from a clerk. Was told they didn’t know where the glasses were and they would call back. That was 3 hours ago. I know mistakes happen and things happen out of their control but the lack of an answer or someone actually answering repeated messsges and an email is very very poor service. There are lots of options out there and I don’t understand why a retailer wouldn’t call, a simple courtesy to explain the delay or lack of service. Now it’s an issue and very definitely noted. It is very frustrating dealing with a seller that offers no follow-up. Once they have your money, it’s see you later.
Oddly, the only complaint I have about FYI is the survey I was asked to complete, regarding my recent experience, there, in being tested for, and receiving new glasses. After giving 9 or 10 ratings, all the way through, I endeavoured to make some concluding comments. After typing two or three words, these disappeared from my view, not to be seen again. Soon becoming aware that auto-correct was trying to create comments for me, I tried to go back and edit. To no avail. When I tried to start over I was basically told to, get lost, that I had already done the survey!
I've been wearing glasses for 24 years now. Been to a few different locations in my day... but I have to say today was a stellar experience. Staff was super warm and welcoming ( thanks Kara and Sam) the Dr. was professional and informative, the whole team was just awesome. The location is well run, and follows provincial protocols. Uses modern technology to ensure I'm getting a thorough exam, great selection and awesome warranty coverages. All in all. it was a 10/10. I'll be back and be sure to recommend to others! Called FYI this AM around 9 as I was a patient for the past decade . I had an eye swollen and needed it looked at was told they would get back to me. Being a Friday I waited until 2 pm and finally called them again . Obviously someone didn't do their job and I was given a song and dance. I told the receptionist after waiting on hold for several minutes that I would take my eye care elsewhere and hung up. Learned many moons ago to speak with my wallet . She then called me back to tell me that a Dr would see me my reply was "too late I had found another eye Doctor willing to Look at my eye and i wouldn't be requiring their services in future " If this is the way patient's are treated I'd hate to be unknown to them in an emergency. I will inform my family and friends of the unprofessional way I was treated Doug Roberts
The team at the clinic in Truro is amazing. They all seem to love their job and it comes across in the interactions I have had there. Curtomer service is above and beyond. It's immaculately clean and well organized. Absolute pleasure to visit evertine I go in. And my dog loves the visits too Thanks for the hard work you all do.... And with nothing but smiles

Dr. is professional and knowledgeable and they make sure your eyes are fully checked. They use all the latest technology so you get the best exam possible for your eyes. Very impressed. Highly recommend.

You have just lost a customer of 40 years when you would not see my 90 year old mother with an emergency eye condition.
I was very impressed by the level of great customer service that I received at FYI recently. Everyone is super friendly and Marcel was excellent in helping me pick out a pair of glasses. I also love that everyone has to wash their hands. What a great practise!
I was disappointed. I arrived around 10 min late for my appointment which of course is not a good idea and they wouldn’t see me after all the time I spent to drive down.
Terrible customer service. Tried for 3 months to have my glasses adjusted. would recommend going anywhere but here.
