I've bought three laptops and a bunch of peripherals from Perth PC, starting in December 2013. The staff ranges from a bit quirky to inordinately helpful and the store is a definite asset in terms of getting all kinds of computer support by chatting with the staff, getting repairs and upgrades at what I consider to be reasonable prices and being able to buy refurbished laptops etc from a constantly updating inventory. New machines are going to cost a bit more than Best Buy/Staples but you're getting a welcome insurance policy in terms of hand holding. Make sure you get a good tax receipt though, since I've sometimes just been given a cash tape and wandered away absent-mindedly with no tax deducton evidence. Carl Edgar intermediate-level user

They have the best repair tech in the business! Mac people this is your repair shop. Jarl also repairs tablets, phones and just about anything you need for your computing and tech needs. They service windows and other OS types as well. They also sell music stuff. i.e guitar strings and more. Great to know if you're in a bind.

I purchased a refurbished Mac computer from this company for over $1,000. I explained to them what I needed it for and they told me I could use this computer for this, no issues! After about 3 weeks the computer stopped holding its charge. I would be using it and watch it drain 10% of its charge within 20 minutes. I teach online and this is a serious issue. My computer died in the middle of a class even though it was plugged in. I took it back in and explained the issue. They said it was the plug in and gave me a new one - great! Took it home, the issue was NOT fixed. Power still draining quickly. This is NOT acceptable after paying over $1,000 for a Mac computer. I took it back in. They called several days later saying there was nothing wrong and that they would not charge me for the service. HMMM sooo I’m making up a problem?? You are right I am NOT paying for the service I want my computer that you sold me for over a $1,000 to work!!! Needless to say I was not happy and needed time to think about what I should do. Personally I wanted my money back. I felt like they stole from me and sold me something faulty. They called several times but never left a message for me to hear. Never talk to me verbally and I never received a notice or something written saying if I did not pick my computer up by a certain date they would “recycle it” I went back in today to get the computer that I paid over $1,000 for after and was told they “recycled it”. Sorry we don’t have space to hold a computer (which is very small by the way!!) SORRY but since you did not verbally have a conversation with me to say that you would do this OR send me a notice to say that you would do this...THIS is STEALING, not matter the length of time. I hope as a “good” business you will make this right. I expect my money back. Since I assume you cleared MY computer that I paid $1,000 for, fixed the issue it had and RESOLD (recycled). WOW just WOW!
