This Dr. Office has no issues with ignoring patient requests, proper protocol, and needless cash grabs. They will tell you certain tests that cost extra are mandated by the college but they aren't. While the Dr is wonderful he is only as good as his staff and they are liars.

My husband went to see Dr.Hadavi.The glasses were made as perscribed and my husband couldn't see properly, not to mention the thickness. The doctor changed cylinder and axis to highest possible.The perscription wasn't even close to what it should be. He went to see other doctor and now he have a proper glasses. Time after time I’ve had horrible experiences with both , messing up prescriptions , waiting excessive amounts of time for the wrong brand of contacts , unlabeled products . Poor customer service. The doctor doesn’t listen , does whatever he wants and gives poor prescription. I’ve talked to other people who go thru the same as me !!!

I got my eyes examined by Dr. Niel Carvalho. Ingot my script and since my eyes werent all that bad I waited about a year to get glasses. When I ny glasses came in I couldnt see a damn thing the script was so far off. I had to have my eyes retested at a different doctor. The new optometrist explained that there was no way my script changed that dramatically after testing my eyes. Instead of 115⁰ rotation on one of my lenses they put 15⁰. I won't return. They wouldnt admit to any error on their part. Saying that was my script when I got my eyes tested. But then the doctor told me thatd be next to impossible. Clearly a script error. Waste of money!

The eye exam was good. The doctor was nice but my overall experience was bad! When I booked my appointment and spoke with the receptionist she informed me to take my insurance card if I'm gonna be paying with my insurance, but what she failed to mentioned; even at the point of my arrival was that they dont accept certain insurance. I was shocked to find out at the end of my service that I had to pay the full amount because they dont accept bluecross. I'm pregnant and it shook me up! Even caused my husband to be upset because we weren't budgeting to spend that extra amount of money... I've been in customer service for the past 15 years, and giving excellent service is my speciality; effective communication is key! Please in the future for God's sakes inform the customers which insurance policies your company don't take from the initial stage!!!

It was great to see Dr Carvalho and his associates for my eye exam during this Covid crisis. They performed the proper covid screening before attending and again when we arrived for my Eye exam. I have 4 fractured discs in my back and Myasthenia Gravis. Neil and the other associates were very patient with me as I need to have a minute break during the exam. Dr Carvalho exercises an excellent level of genuine patient care a does his staff. This element is often missing with a lot of Medical professionals in recent years. I had come for my eye examination, Dr. Aasim Fazalulla was excellent. Dr. Fazalulla made me very comfortable even though I met him for the 1st time. He was very nice and did a full exam of my eyes and I am happy. Dr's office is a quite a distance from my house but it is worth going there. I woke up at 4am a week ago with really bad pain in my right eye and didn't know what to do or where to go. I didn't want to go to emergency and then I thought about giving Dr Carvalho's office a call. I have been a patient of his for quite a few years Jade was the person who answered. She told me that Neil was on vacation but suggested a few clinics near my home in Pickering. She asked me to call her back and let her know if they would see me on an emergency basis. Two would but were insisting on doing a full eye check up - one wanted $110 and the other $134. I told them I had just had a full exam a month prior but they were insistent. Money was not the issue I did not want to have someone poking around what was a very painful eye. I called Jade and she asked if I could get to the Oshawa location. My husband had stayed with me so I told her that yes I could. Jade arranged an appointment for that afternoon. I saw Dr Fazalulla and he diagnosed a tear on on cornea. He was very gentle and reassuring that with antibiotics, lubricant and eyelid wipes it would clear up in week of so. He asked me to return the following day to make sure that everything was going well. I saw another optometrist the next day and she was equally caring and reassuring. On Saturday July 20, 2019 I again saw Dr Fazalulla and he told me that the tear was healed and my vision would be back to normal in a few days. I am so grateful to everyone that I saw. I felt genuinely cared for by each and everyone. Many thanks to Jade for being there and for staying in contact with me throughout the whole what was to me a frightening ordeal. She was pivotal in finding me the care I needed. A huge thank you to Dr Fazalulla for his kindness and professionalism. I consider myself one lucky woman
