This place opened a couple months ago. First let me say I was very impressed with the neatness and layout of this store. I have been to other dingy Hakim Optical's, but this one is more modern and brighter. Brittany, one of the staff there helped me pick out the frames and explained the new progressive lenses I will be getting, and the other options I ordered. John was beside her and he is the on-site Licensed optician there. He further backed up my confidence as he was in a nice shirt and tie and looked very professional and handled my measurements with precision. I used their 60% off sale and got a great deal. When I picked up the glasses about 7 days later, another staff member named Amanda delivered the glasses to me. The optician was working with another customer in the back room. I think they also do contact lenses. Amanda was also professional and I found this store to be the best experience all around that I have had with regards to getting glasses. I would recommend the Oshawa centre Hakim Optical over all others. Go see Brittany, John and Amanda and see what I mean. Get it, I said "See"..A +++

Booked an appointment, during the pandemic. Came down at the appointment time to be told that we had no appointment and that we must've booked somewhere else. Checked our call logs and it was definitely to this store. Went back an explained the situation only to get talked down to like we some how made a mistake and that they can't fit us in even though we took the day off work to go down. Next available appointment would be in 2 more weeks.

Fantastic service! The man working today went way above and beyond. I broke my glasses and needed a new pair so I went to this location and was not only able to get two pairs of glasses... but he rushed to get both pairs ready with lenses same day. They were ready in 30 mins. The service was great, well priced and super friendly. Highly reccomend you go here if you need glasses!

Disgusted that their store was closed today on December 3rd. Had an appointment today at 1120 and their store was closed. I wasn’t warned about this closure, which is disgusting. When rebooking, I’m not waiting a full week for an appointment.

The manager, Amanda, has some serious attitude. How someone that is so demeaning, rude and arrogant attained a position of authority like this is beyond me. This company needs to re evaluate their staff and their positions.

The lady at the store was super rude. Seems like she was waiting for her timing to end and was looking for reasons not to allow us inside the store. Was least interested in her sales and did not even answer our basic questions. Please refrain from visiting this store.

Worst experience ever! We went to check if they would let people in without appointments and they didn't... This is all right, but they didn't even care to ask if we wanted to book one and walked away! Best way ever to do business! ????

Great deal from Hakim on the glasses but their customer service at this store is atrocious. The employees are blantanly rude and need some serious retraining on how to deal with customers and problem solving and taking accountability for their mistakes.. Worst customer service I ever have had. Sorry guys but with that attitude you aren’t going anywhere.

I found the male optician rude. I was going to order 2 pairs of glasses until i returned the next day to ask him to adjust a cheap pair or readers. He was very arrogant and dismissed my request like i knew nothing and he has been in the business long enough. Well he has a lot to learn. Went down the hall to Lenscrafter were they adjusted my cheap readers and i bought 2 pairs of new readers from them. I worked with 2 Optometrists, so i was right they can be adjusted. Will never recommend this place unless you like to be treated bad.

Completely beside myself here, chose to go back to Hakim Optical as they have in the past been really good with customer service and quality... 3 months into new lens and the protective coverings are flaking off!! Went to back to the location (419 King St W. Oshawa, ON) and the manager gave me the typical line that this wouldn't be warranted (over the phone)... and went in person and she gave me a bu#$tt line they this is user neglect... and she always!! Teaches her "customers versus just makes the sale"... and that I got the cheapest version of all the options!!! FUNNY!! If she truly held up to her comment she would of remembered me as she was the one that I did this purchase with and inquired about from the 1st step... Looks an awful like a "Sale vs a Teaching/lifetime returning customer". #hakim #hakimoptical #neveragain

The atmosphere at HAKIM OPTICAL in the Oshawa Centre is always inviting as Amanda consistently calls out a friendly greeting, then cheerfully serves as requested. She knows her craft and applies it with exceptional kindness, skillfully selecting frames and repairing glasses promptly. Really a pleasant place to shop. Thanks Amanda.

This is not the brand you want to be associated with. Firstly I was promised that my glasses would be ready in two weeks but had to wait for five weeks and having to put up with many lame excuses on each call for updates. Secondly the lens were not installed correctly as the bi-focals appear to be skewed. They offered a $50 gift certificate for my troubles which I advised the "manager" to keep and give to a satisfied customer if there are any. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! Oh I forgot to mention the palpable tension between the tow staffs manning the location. NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION!! LOTS OF OTHER GOOD CHOICES AVAILABLE THAT VALUE YOUR BUSINESS.

Purchased glasses from this location. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Covid protocol was very strict but I think thats a good thing! Amanda did a great job helping me pick my frames, she was very thorough with lense options and helped me pick exactly what I needed!

I just wanted to take a minute to say how amazing Amanda handled a difficult situation. I had a dispute about the outcome of my purchase and was quite fustrated. Even though we were in disagreement Amanda still stepped forward and made the situation right which is a rare experience nowadays. I've had other experiences with Amanda which is what brought me back to Hakims and each time she had amazing customer service. I've been in difficult situations myself working retail and understand how frustrating dealing with upset customers can be.

Brittany T was GREAT! Very detailed and calm throughout the whole exploration of what I was looking for. She took me from beginning to end as I tried numerous pairs of glasses on and off and then as I juggled different options for my 2 new pairs of glasses. What an amazing young lady to be starting at this location. It’s my first time exploring my options at Hakim and because of the selection and absolute customer care Brittany took with me I would highly recommend her and this location for a great experience.

After browsing around the mall for the first time since the cockroach was found in the food court i was pleased to stumble upon hakim. The store was clean. Unfortunately my experience with the staff was less then helpful. They seemed somewhat experienced yet lacking one lady was more interested in impressing the 2 males at the counter and seemingly intoxicated unless blushing I got a dirty look . I spoke with another customer for five minutes before I left and found a great deal elsewhere .no thankyou

Sale associate is slow physically and mentally. We waited 15 minutes outside the store while she was chatting with client. So unhelpful, laziest sales associate. 1 person at a time in the store have to book days in advance plus needed my prescription. Dark hair young girl. I went there today and the gentleman was very kind and helpful. The man offered a special lens which doesn’t leave finger prints on the glasses. He made two glasses within 30 minutes. Very impressive. God bless????
