Not a place I would recommend. I still have a pair of glasses I can not use and after 5 visits you would think they could get it right. Customer service is not one of their strong points. Will take my business elsewhere.

First off. i have been a customer for Hakim optical for years, I purchased my last pair of glassed 1.5yrs ago, and paid a premium for them. 1.5 yrs later the coating starts coming of and is like looking through a fog, and received scratches. I understand the warranty is over, but, I asked if there was some kind of loyalty pricing or a seniors discount. NO, they didn t want to hear it, if you want new lensed, full pop. NEVER again will I shop Hakim, just a greedy company and no respect for returning clients. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. All i wanted was some kind of break on the lenses in the frames i had purchased from them.. Sad business ethics. Al

As the website does NOT state by appointment only I arrived at this location to simply have a screw put into my frames. A woman with black hair was out front when i got there. I approached her fully masked and stood 6ft away asking if she works there to see if she could assist me. Before I could say anything she glares at me , steps back and says "by apointment only". I have tried calling 5 times to make an appointment once I got into my car to no avail.i only needs my glasses to see.... I certainly do not want to return just to run into her again. Poor customer service.

Had to phone them three times to find out if my glasses had arrived. When I pointed out it had been 3 weeks since I ordered the glasses, they looked again then said "oh, turns out they're here, they came in a Nikon bag." What, you get a delivery and you don't even check which customer they're for? When I picked them up the attendant was clearly annoyed that I was keeping her from whatever was on her computer screen. Never going back -- time to switch to Lenscrafters.

If I could Give this place zero stars I would. Super over priced. Hakim brand frames cost me almost $300. The one lady who works there is rude and rushes you out the door. I got glasses that I hate because of this lady rushing and being so rude. She was supposed to adjust them so they don’t fall off my face and she did nothing. I would not recommend this place at all. Horrible service and over priced garbage.

Awful customer service, had to walk out. Dr was disgustingly rude, yelling over an elderly man trying to find glasses. Other staff ignored us and ignored the phone, very condescending. Surprised this place is still running.

I went here to get my glasses fixed, as they where the closest place to my house. When arriving the doors where locked. That is fine. I tried calling no one picked up, busy I get it. Then two girls walked to the door. I took my glasses and asked nicely if they could fix them. The one lady was very rude! Honestly, just from the conversation alone I never want to come here for glasses in the future! If that is how you treat someone. then they called the cops on me because I was sitting in my car with my service dog and kid while writing this review. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE COMPLETLY TARRIBLE SERVICE

This is my second time getting glasses here. I love their selection - I haven't found glasses anywhere else that I even like, so it's my only option. The owner, I think, is very matter-of-fact, which some may take as rude, but she's just not a smiley person. But she's not rude, in my opinion. Just businesslike and efficient.

Called to make an appointment a day earlier and was told to come “anytime between 3 and 6pm” I show up and they: 1. Had apparently took my name down wrong when I called and told me I didn’t have an appointment 2. Kicked me out because there were too many customers in the store, me and 1 other lady. ( the person that unlocked the door told us both to come inside) 3. seemed extremely disorganized and confused that someone had told us (me and the other lady) to come between 3 and 6. So if you go here make sure you have an actual appointment, not an approximate visiting time, and make sure they spell your name right. Luckily the hakim optical at the oshawa center was more than happy to help me out so I’ll be going there from now on.

The service is terrible waited over 2 hours in total. They sold me glasses and later called to tell me they no longer carry them. Glasses are cheap and fall apart. Highly suggest on going anywhere else.

Still they didn’t removed the back to school offer board infront of the store and it says 2 frames for $169 and when I went there on Nov 25,2019, the lady told me that the offer is no longer available and says it expired on October and she told me that she forgot to remove the offer board. That is a strange excuse. But the shop is nice and staff is friendly. Please remove the offer board ASAP as it is no longer available

There costumer service is rude the Dr is nice though. I had paper work sent there from insurance and called to see if they had it they said no they would call me so the next day insurance is saying it's there no call so I called them and low and behold it was there then I had to wait a week for an appointment just to pick frames for myself and my daughter then after being told 10 days I call on the 11th day to be told I could come pick up the next day when I picked up it was only my glasses not my daughter's she told me she would call me on day 14 I decided since I was already in that area to stop in and see if they were there and I was rudely told that they weren't and she said she would call me sorry I didn't trust since I had to call them before finally on day 16 they call me to tell me they are ready and tried to make me book an appointment for days down the road to pick them up but I said no inwould come and they could hand me them out the door I will not return to this hakim optical and I don't appreciate making me wait so long and talking to me with a rude attitude.

Quality of glasses and customer service has gone WAY down in the last few yrs, my wife went there to buy her last pair, we buy 2 pairs at a time, I opted out and went to lens crafters and shes been back 3 times to fix hers and mine are still going strong, and I work construction so mine get put thru the ringer. Aug 2020, again had to go back and fix my sons glasses that were bought 6 mnths ago. however mine from lens crafters are holding up great, spend the extra $60 at lens crafters you wont regret it.

I have never felt as belittled as I had when I had had the misfortune of having to deal with this place. DO NOT GO HERE!!! My husband ordered glasses before Christmas 2020 and it is now March 6, 2021. He has yet been able to wear the glasses. He has had to return the glasses at least 4 times as the prescription was so bad he couldn't wear them at all. The staff are rude and when he asked for a refund since they can't get the prescription right, he was refused. So he has a pair of $500 + dollar glasses that are garbage. Absolutely disgusting customer service and clearly they have no idea what they are doing. To refuse a refund or even a partial refund is terrible. If we could give a 0 star review, we would have.

DONT GO THERE !!! I dearly regret not having read any reviews before going in to this store. My experience was terrible and similar to others . During the lockdown, they kept their doors locked and you had to wait to be let in . That wouldn’t be terrible except for the fact that I use a cane to walk as both of my knees are bad. I knocked on the door and waited and waited, while I could see the staff member on the phone, completely ignoring me . ( bear in mind I had an appt ) Also, the parking is very limited , the tiny lot is in disrepair, and most of the time it’s full so you have to find somewhere else to park . The doctor was very nice, however my first prescription was way off, I couldn’t see well . The second try was better, however I had a very hard time with the astigmatism correction . I was told to give it a good try, that it may take a long time to get used to it . I did give it many months, but it just wasn’t working out. When I went back again, I was told that too much time had passed and if I wanted to replace the lenses without the astigmatism correction, I would have to pay additional fees. So now I’ve had to make 5 trips there, I’ve spent almost $800 on two pairs of glasses ( not designer glasses ) that I CAN NOT USE AT ALL . I will never go to Hakim ever again, and will tell that to everyone I know. I also agree that the staff was rude, except for the doctor . I forgot to mention that the arm on my sunglasses fell off within a few weeks, and then it happened again . CHEAPLY MADE GARBAGE

HORRIBLE customer service. doesn't even deserve 1 star!! The girl at the front is incredibly rude. I couldn't even ask a question and the girl looks at you as if you're nothing and speaks to you with a disgusting tone of voice. WILL NEVER go back, and will be telling people NOT to go there!

It started ok. Returned my 2 pairs of glasses coatings where bad .They replaced one pair and waited for 2 months for a reorder of contact lenses.they have lost my business.i would never recommend this store or it's staff.i rate it a zero..
