I bought my most recent pair of frames from this shop almost two years ago and they are the best pair I've had. I'm planning on using this set until they break because of how light, comfortable and nice. I had a new prescription put in about half a year ago but one of the lenses recently got some light scratching. I checked if it was under warranty and they ordered a new lens and replaced it, no charge or hassle. I'll definitely come back here when I need replacement glasses. I've been to a few other opticians in Victoria and I'd say this one has the best value and service, and one of the better selections too.

My wife has been coming here for over 6 years and these guys have been great. She initially came with a model for a frame from another, glitzier shop and they were able to bring them in for $200 less. They have helped work within our coverage and have gotten work done sooner than expected.

We have been returning customers since 1999 & we have always received excellent service and purchased many pairs of prescription glasses both for myself & the missus. I've had from $150 - $600 flexon frames every one used faithfilly over the years & besides for work applications I also had them made me prescription safety glasses. The owner Ron recently retired but now only covers the Saturday shift to give his son a break.

New location on Johnson St and new co-owner, very experienced and helpful. Been going to Diamond since 2003. Always got some great looking current frames, better value than other local shops, and within my insurance limit. I got all the help I needed for correct shape, colour and fit. Just got my first transition lenses and some prescription sunglasses. Two family members also go there for glasses.

Lizel is amazing!!!!! I have gone to Diamond Optical for several years but when Lizel left to work elsewhere I stopped going here for my glasses. Well, Lizel is back!!!!! And so am I! Not only does Lizel do a stellar job at helping to pick out the right frames, she is also kind, funny and empathetic. She is someone that you walk away from in a better mood than when you started!

Do not visit this store. 쩔때 리용하찌 마쎄요. 써삐쓰가 쓰뤠뀌에요. 싸끼꾼임 Since the frame of my glasses was broken, I visited this store about 3 months ago to change the frame. The owner recommended buying new one, and grinding the shape of my lens to fit in. I agreed with his opinion, after 1 hour I visited there. When I revisited there, he told me that he broke my lens and it was a mistake. He required me to pay about $350 for buying new glasses. I couldn't accept it becuz he broke mine!! And it's too expensive. But I didn't have any choices becuz i had to go back to Toronto in 4days. So I accept it. He asked me whether I had the prescription of my glasses. But I didn't have it and didn't know about it. So I called my previous store which is in my country, and sent him the infomation of my eyes. He told me that he would tell me when my glasses would be prepared. But he didn't notice anything from Friday to Monday morning. So I went there again and asked about my glasses. He said that he was to call me. Whatever... i got my glasses but... condition of lens was terrible, there wrere many scratches. I complained about it. He said that he didn't notice it. ..... huh? ... He requested me to wait 1.5hours. So I waited for 1.5hours... finally i got my new glasses, he broke my lens and I paid lots of money for it. This month, after I came back to my country, I visited opthamology, and the doctor told me that the glasses have lots of problems. Its lens is much cheaper one, and the coating of the lens is almost peeled off. Above all, as i said I sent him my eyes' prescription which I got from my doctor. But, he gave me the wrong lens!!! What the... Don't visit this store. Terrible store ever.

Yes I would recommend anyone that needs great customer service and great insight on fitting glasses and they went way beyond to help me choose the right pair of glasses. I posted a very positive review last year when I purchased some reading glasses from Diamond Optical here in Victoria. I wouldn't normally do another post but am doing so now because I wish to pass along this recommendation. Today I picked up a pair of progressive lens glasses and have been wearing them since I picked them up. They are light, attractive and high quality unlike the progressives I have had in the past and rarely wore because they didn't work well for me. Alicia and Steve are extremely friendly and professional and went out of their way to provide me with a very good pair of glasses. I am sure that it has been very difficult for them during the past fifteen months or so and hope that business will pick up for them in the near future as we all start to venture out as our lock downs wind down. I highly recommend Diamond Optical.

These owners are amazing! They really care about their customers eye health. I bought a pair of glasses but was not able to get transitions at the time of my purchase. They called me and said they would give me transitions for free. Just amazing sweet people:) Thank you so much for your kindness....I will for sure come back for future business....

I got my first pair of progressives from this place. It took me no time at all to adjust to them! The staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and caring. The frames look great, and the lense quality is fantastic! I wish I had been coming here for years!

They keep on deleting review. Taking my business from Hillside Mall I brought my and my wife priscrptipn glasses and lenses and one frame was selected but we wanted to change the color but was denied by a stupid excuse "I cannot it's a health issue". They have a bad attitude and they are totally non professional. Please avoid.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back again or to refer anyone even considering getting frames and lenses. Also, Dr. John Poon is extremely friendly, knowledgable, and doesn't just treat you as another client but as a friend. He will take the time to listen to all your concerns. Plus, he has the latest technology to ensure you are getting the most advanced and accurate results. Highly highly recommended!
