Selection is awesome. I love seeing what they bring in for the growlers you can get on tap. One of the few places that regularly has cider on tap. Really nice selection of whiskey and other spirits. Was able to get my dad a nice bottle of 18 year old glennfiddich. Beer selection gets changed from time to time, but I find Rockhead seems to have a little more selection in that regard. I find this location easier to shop in because of its size and proximity to my home, however. Staff are always really helpful and are quick to point out new items.

Staff are very friendly. We try to shop here to buy local, and we choose local brands there also. With covid the selection of local beers has decreased sadly. I like that they have a good selection of Scotch and lots of decent wine as well. They take covid very seriously, good to see!

I've been in here 4 times, and everytime the staff, especially the cashiers, have been snobbish. They barely say hi, I can hardly hear them speak, and don't even look at me. I got ID'd at the age of 40, which too me, points out that they're disengaged. This place isn't as trendy as they'd like to think, and def doesn't warrant the hipster attitude. You're mainstream. Your lack of craft cider and the fact you sell Okanagan cider says it all.

One of few places that open till 10 pm for retail purchase. Because of the regulations, they don't keep anything that's already available in NSLC but still you won't disappointed as they offer many varieties of wines and beers. Very friendly staff and quick service

This is a good alternative to the LC and I'm happy it's nearby. Some of the staff, however, feel they are better than the customers. A small attitude adjustment from management wouldn't be a bad thing. I usually pick up a growler of IPA about once or twice a week. It's good that I can sample the beer first.

If I could give this store less than one star I would. The staff and security are less than welcoming. If you're not dressed to the nines and look like you have money DO NOT enter their store. They will treat you like a thief and follow you around as every single staff member asks you if you need help in a none too pleasant tone (aka you should leave) within literal seconds of each other. Funny thing is that the people I entered the store with are all doctors. Lee will just go to the NSLC at Bayers Lake from now on.

Came here to refill a few bottles. It was nice to be able to sample the beers and ciders before buying them. We had a discount coupon for the store it took a while to finally apply it as the system wasn't ready for those types of discount. In the end, they were able to apply some discount to our purchase. My first visit to Westside was late on a Sunday. Having missed the nslc I was thrilled that the new store in my neighbourhood was open. It’s beautiful inside. There is a large selection of local spirits, beer and wine. The knowledgeable staff is cheerful and helpful. They suggested a local rum that has since become my favourite. Hours of operation got me in the door, the staff and quality products keep me coming back. If u think u have a favourite of drink, the unique flavours of these local brands may have u reconsidering. Be a prideful maritimer! Definitely check it out!

I always get a great wine recommendation. I'm asked what I'm planning for my meal, what my price point is, and frequently get a small sample to see if it's to my taste. No one pushes the most expensive product, but do give you a range of what might be suited to you. Never thought I'd like Chardonnay. Turns out, just drinking the wrong ones. Kempton, the somamlier is wonderful, and he's trained his staff to be equally knowledgeable.

The best selection of hard to find beer in Halifax. If you are looking for good Belgian beer this is the place to come to get it. They have abbey beers plus strong beers like Delirium, and even sell the great Unibroue beers by 6 pack. The Growler bar is great to try something new, and to get an excellent price on local brews. Their wine selection is fantastic as well, but their scotch choices are mediocre at best.
