Cool store to just wander around and explore. It has a mix of true military surplus with some cheaper "military" clothing. They also sell firearms, ammo, and a limited amount of firearm accessories. They also have a small camping/outdoor and boating section.

I love going in and getting stuff, I got my first airsoft gun and pistol there. my only thing is you gotta be careful. it's not their fault, but some products are faulty. due to the no returns or exchanges rule, always make sure your buy will hold up to what you're using it for. other then that, good place. only place I'll buy my camo from for the field. oh, and when you guys take back the AEGs to ensue they work before you sell them, you should let the customer go along to test shoot it to make sure that it fires as they want and they like the feel :P

Horrible service. Airsoft gun broke after 3 uses. Brought it back and was told it was out of warranty. They had it for 7 weeks and could not tell me any information during that time. Eventually they got it back from their repair 'guy' not fixed. They thought I wanted it back not fixed. Never buy from this store!!! N

What a funny, funky store! I'm not a firearms guy but I get the feeling this is the place to go if you are interested in that sort of thing. Otherwise there's lots of cool camping gear for very reasonable prices and of course lots of surplus clothing and things like that. This is the spot to go for flags as well.

Place has been around for ages....years. Lots of stuff. Army camping gear, boots, jackets etc. My 19 yr old likes the boots and jackets. I like the wool blankets and camping gear. It isnt expensive either. Staff is... For me pleasant enough but this is not a mall store so not overly friendly. They are polite. Great store.

visited the store a few days past to purchase a rifle, the staff member didn't even bother to remove the cable that goes through them and coudent even bother to engage in conversation when i asked a question. i felt like i was an inconvenience for him, i supposed he rather been on the computer than selling goods. went to Canadian tire and put seven hundred dollars in their store. Terrible customer service!

What can one say? This venerable Halifax institution has been selling tons of VERY COOL stuff for many decades. It has not only military surplus items, but also knives, air-soft rifles, ropes - ok just lots and lots of things you need for camping, outdoor game playing, working around the house and yard ... and just plain old-fashioned FUN! Most highly recommend.

I love the place, but the guy who works there with the facial piercings and the ever-present stocking hat has a pretty poor attitude. Grunting one word answers to questions and feeling not only like he doesn't care, but that he doesn't even like me makes me want to deal with anybody but him. The dude with the dreads is great though.
