Here you have all the opinions of real people like you who are using the products and services of Costco Wholesale (Optics Shop) in Nova Scotia (Canada).
As of day this business receives a score of 4.4 out of 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is very positive, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the score is quite accurate. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to write reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Optics Shop is included in the category of Warehouse store.
Like their meat department, love the way they cut the Beef and the Pork. Like the marinated Chicken, it is good for baking or barbecue.
Great place but way to busy for me. The extra drive to Burnside Costco will be my choice from now on.
Great place to shop for a wide range of items ranging from groceries to pastries to electronics to toiletries to food to clothing-Costco has it all, and very affordable too. However, you must be a registered member in order to be able to shop there.
Customer service is always the best at Costco unfortunately the wait can often be long.
Ample parking, efficient lines/cash register flow. Clean store and polite staff.
Not crowded at all. Found what I wanted, and checkout wasn't packed.
Not bad. Quite a lot of different items or lacking items compared to Alberta (beef bone broth etc), but ultimately atypical of any Costco
I guess everyone bought everything yesterday cause there was hardly anyone there at lunchtime.
Great place for all what families need in affordable prices with very dedicated friendly and professional staff
Good prices, but is it worth the aggravation? My wife had the card and was in the line to get in, I had our 3yo who needed to pee. I couldn't get to the washroom because it was behind 'security'. Why do they even check cards on the way in?
Good place for groceries... good quality at reasonable prices
Great selection and prices, especially if you keep an eye out for sales. Lots of long term staff, which has to be a good sign! Best price for propane refills too.
Should have a sign posted at the kitchen area stating that CASH is not accepted. Only debit and credit is available. Waited in line to be told that cash is not accepted. Had to go back in line and pre- order with that kiosk thing. I dont like using them and usually only pay with cash. Main checkouts where accepting cash payments.
What can say? I just love everything about this place. Quality food..and if you don't like it just bring it back, no hassles. And you can even buy a kitchen sink..lol well worth the price of a membership. ....and the Carmel sundays and fries are fantastic!
It was fine, and didn't take long to get out.
I Want to say thank you to Andrew at the phone shop for helping me figure out what plan would work best for my needs and advising me how to get the best bang for my money. If anyone looking to get a new phone or even to upgrade go to Costco Halifax and ask for Andrew thanks again buddy. Greg at (PERFECT STONE LIMITED)
the worst shopping place. The parking lot is crowded. Checkout is slow. Shopping cart is not sterilized in time. Everything sucks.
Great staff and clean store. I could spend hours here just roaming around, eating free snacks, and $2 hot dogs....
Fantastic return policy. Always carry quality products
It was super crowded when we were there
Shop here a few time a year and have always thought Costco cashiers are the most arrogant cashiers I've ever encountered, no greetings at all. Just the scanner pressed against the glass waiting for your card. Even after I had put everything in the cart (about 8 items) perfectly laying with the barcodes up for easy scanning. The cashier who was also a supervisor throws it all up on the cash anyway and after never even says the total just points to the debit machine for payment. I'd honestly rather pay more for an item at a store then get a better deal but have to deal with Costco cashiers. Easily the worst part of the Costco shopping experience.
As good as any costco you might visit. Lines moved very quickly. Same annoying pitch to upgrade membership.
It's Costco. Every thing is big, returns are easy, the staff are great, the sample snacks are yummy. Take money.
Great place to buy food for families but alot expensive. Sometimes find things you dont see at other stores.
Friendly staff and excellent service.
Great store for bulk or businesses. Clean, fast lots of parking. Propane gas only at this location, no gas for vehicles?
Get your propane here, best price
Everything was as per expectation, especially no lines at checkouts, cashiers and staff at customer's desk were rude, as always
No ability to social distance
You know, it's Costco. What's to review? I can say they do manage to get long lines down pretty quickly.
Well structured. A few elderly and one family of 4 refusing to wear their masks and follow social distancing protocols, but generally good nonetheless.
Just an unordinary superstore. Best time to shop and avoid long check out lines is around dinner time in the beginning of the week. Oh yes, their food outlet is one of the better ones in town.
Great prices on certain bulk foods
OK great stuff and deals but the arrogance, of this store's decision-makers, makes me want to end my membership. Open at 10am? Really? How about opening at 7am like all other grocery stores. Cripes, we are PAYING $50 a head for the privilege of shopping here. What a scam. No visa cards?? Really? The USA stores allow them. Another long line up to produce our sales receipt to prove we are not stealing on the way out?? Get stuffed!!
A lot of items to choose I go in for one thing and come out with a cart full the are many employees to help you
Great staff, good deals if you know your prices.
Waiting lines on weekends would improve in Halifax,NS if someone helped customers to distribute properly among cashiers. Long lines form with people waiting for the cashiers at the ends while cashiers in the middle are practically empty. Sometimes I suggest people in line to move to the cashier lines in the middle but some do not welcome the suggestion and almost seem offendes by it. Reaction would be different if it comes from the staff
Went in happy with a list, bought extra of course...smile. All was great till I got to the cashier. ???? I think I realized it a lot of products go through the caches but I don't think it's fair when you watch the person ripping your chicken up against the back of the rim of the counter and then throwing two bottles of come out of you so they smash into the chicken that lady needs a break
Great place to buy in bulk. But wish that you didn't have to be a member. I have to shop there with someone who has a membership
Lots of different products, best muffins, and great prices everyday, my husband thinks the giant hotdogs and pop makes the best lunches...staff very friendly..one of our favorite places shop..
Plenty selection and in bulk quantity, decent prices. Checkouts are often backed up however they move fairly quick.
Great place to shop in quantity. It's better to go on any weekday morning. Weekends are too crowded.
Always so busy and the layout of the parking lot and the store seem to make it harder to get around. The Dartmouth store is laid out much better.
Just like any other Costco - busy and crazy. But I always get great customer support and always find great deals!
It was very crowded and people were not staying 6 feet apart at all
Best place to buy grocery in bulk for whole month. Staff is extremely friendly and always available for help.
This was a five star review until today. Today this Costco discriminated against my wife over a medical condition and refused her entry contrary to the human rights code. Absolutely despicable behavior.
Even though the store was busy the cash line was moving very smoothly. Not many people parking in the no parking area today.
Good selection of products but long lineup at the cash register as only half of the registers were open.
I love Costco. Especially fruits are fresh and delicious. I bought six packs today because the bottled water is cheaper than last time.(40 bottles=$2.89)
Friday Night crazy, like it more when social distance was on. Everyone bring the masks on, people in the entrance act like polices. I couldn't said that I have Asma, scared they won't believe.
Wish I could give 0/5 stars. The young woman who I had the misfortune of speaking with to set up our membership, was the most predatory salesperson I'd ever experienced. I had to basically say 10 times in a row "I want the standard membership" before she would listen. She also would not answer my questions, questions like "Are you telling me I am unable to shop here without the executive membership". To which she would say, and I quote: "We start our customers off at executive". This happened multiple times in a loop. I literally had to raise my voice to get a standard membership. Despicable and shameful business practice. No doubt, others who are less confident than myself are tricked into the executive membership.
Ok stock was low. Muffins are being shorted for freshness. No Romain lettuce. But baby Romain was advailible. Steven O'Hanley floor Manager this aft. Was amazing. Dealing with memberships and loading carts. Class 1. Promote that man!!!
Most often, fine service. Don't hassle me for my card when I want to buy a hot dog or go in the back to buy a membership.
Very good place to buy large groceries and some tech! I don't regret to have a membership.
Very busy most of the time but good location for groceries and the stuffs are very friendly.
We go to Costco all the time. Great stuff. Reasonable prices and a return policy that is second to none.
Best place for certain items. They are getting better at bring mire local produce into the store which is great
When you learn how/what to buy, this place became a paradise
It's costco, what more can be said? Only thing is that it takes a while to get to the check out. Not always but usually crowded
I love going to Costco with family to shop, first time happen yesterday and im very disappointed and not impressed the way the two cashier approach me and my son. Cashier # 21 her name is Shiyrah P. and she got one matured woman with her that most do the talking, very unprofessional. My son is a student and he live with us and as a mother I do the groceries for my family, my son and i are in the line by the cashier and ready to pay, he put the member card on top of our groceries, he thought still the same that Costco used to it, to scan the card. Im at front by the cashier to wait my son and suddenly this woman start saying " you don't put the card on the groceries and youre not allowed to carry your moms card, you supposed to be a member. I came closer that I noticed this woman start questioning my son, I said to her im her mother and he live with me and why he needs to be a member if I do the groceries? And she still insist without proper reason. As myself I know the protocol of costco, if someone is with me and not a member I know they need to pay cash. But the groceries is ours for my family to eat. I keep saying to her and she dont get it, my son and i feel discrimination on this two woman because were brown? and she dont accept explanation, we can speak and understand English and educated so I don't accept the way she talk. People around, we feel like nobody. Not a good customer service, they need to learn the proper approach and engaged to the customer and be sure is clear and make sense. Over all Costco is the best one stop shop to people has family and business... Best Regards, Dolly
Busy store. I usually shop the Dartmouth store, so I find the layout a little confusing. Does have a bit more variety than the Dartmouth store.
First time there today. I buy a lot of the same things on a regular basis for my kids lunches and you can't beat the prices. Can't wait to go back.
Busy, but busy for a reason. Accommodating staff, fair prices good selection. Though diapers and wipes are in a strange, almost hidden corner.
Great selection of products in store. Bulk buying at its best. Good to know prices because some items not always cheaper. Always busy. Great that they have a few mobility scooters available for those with mobility issues as big store.
Certainly not my favourite place to shop. It really feels like you are in a battle to get around other shoppers, people dawdling in the ausles as if it is this grand social outting and some staff should really not be working in the customer service industry, some very rude individuals at this location.
This visit was fantastic, found everything I was looking. Also, stopped at the tire center and a young man that works there but was on his day off helped me out anyway. I thought this was absolutely amazing. Wish I had gotten his name to mention him personally. But if you see this, a big thank you from the lady driving the Blue Jeep Cherokee. A great display of Christmas spirit.
Best place to go for quality products at reasonable price .need membership card to get in .purchase in bulk saves lots of money
Love the layouts of the Costco stores. Friendly staff and a quick checkout, not to mention the savings, makes for one of my families favorite go to places.
They have shorts. They have boats. They have salsa. They have chicken tendies. They've got medicine. Glasses. Passport photos. Olives. Probably an entire live cow, somewhere behind the tire shop. It's a Costco, alright.
The food court is my favourite part about Costco. The soft serve ice-cream, the poutine, the pizza. Best classic poutine ez pz
The selection wasnt as good as normal and the prices have gone up a lot since May 2020
This is a large store with great selection of variety products.Quality of meat products are very good especially beef. This is a good place to buy things in large quantity. The store is usually crowded .Its easy to find products in the store.staff are friendly here.
Costco is great - it's always busy however the lines are really fast! It's also a great place to walk when the sidewalks are too icy!! Shop and walk lol
Carts are cleaned and next to entrance, no lineups, great selection of food stuff and friendly staff.
Almost always have what you need .
Like any other Costco this store is very well maintained and of course customer centric. The cafeteria area is little smaller than the costco in Dartmouth.
Prices here are Okish you guy large quanities of things for seemingly low prices but if you actually go look at other places in comparison you're really not saving much if you were to buy the same amount of stuff elsewhere, I'll buy here. dont think id get a membership though..........the exclusivness of it along with the public image of it being bulk shopping is what i think makes it appealing.........other than that it's just a standard old big box store.
This Costco has great staff, and even when it's packed you can still find a checkout with only one cart ahead of you.
Love Costco. To make good savings you need to know your prices, item sizes, and shop wisely. Rebates are worth watching and can add up quickly. PHARMACY has lower fill prices as does the OPTOMETRY section. If you buy any amount over a year an Executive maybe worth it with the rebates.
The flow inside feels like everyone is on top of you and the parking lot is is busy it scares you. The staff are always amazing and check out lines move super fast which is always enjoyable considering how crazy busy it is in there all the time.
Very good place to shop for clothes and tech. The food though can be a bit heavy leaning on the junk food snacks and frozen items. Honestly with the price of clothing here alone it's actualy worth the membership costs considering the pants here could be 18 to 20 dollars but marks wants 70 for the same thing.
Costco is great! Great staff! Great Deals! Great selections! Some items rotate, so they won't be there each trip. But as you are buying in bulk, that should not be a deal breaker. It can be a bit crowded at check out on weekends or Friday nights. Still a great place.
Apart from it being a busy location with occasional times that parking is hard to come by as a result the cashiers are very Efficient when ringing customers through. My only reccommendation would be to add in a few maternity spots as they have about 30 accessible spots and no maternity spots.
Went to the optometry department to get glasses resized and they said since they were purchased online they wouldn't do it. She then said if we told them that they were purchased at another clinic they would do it.
Clean, usually fast checkout, well stocked. Recently they finally got smarter and put shopping carts on the right side of the entrance so that you don't have to swim through the people coming out of the store.
Look costco... when you move the toilet paper into the milk isle, so everyone can SEE the hoarding going on, its YOU that is responsible for this ridiculous buying frenzy. Admit it... you are capitalizing on people's weakness (fear of the unknown)
Nice place for shopping
Great place to get bulk items at great prices. Especially so if you have a large family. Doesn't have everything that grocery stores sell, so will likely need another store for entire lists. They do not provide bags however but do sell reusable bags. They will check receipts on exiting. Membership requires, however guest can come with members. Guests can only pay with cash or the members cards of any type.
Great service. Everything you could posibly want in produce and gerenal merchandise can be found here. When your thinking of something new to buy make sure to check Costco, sometimes they offer Cool and superb options to consider.
I went to return an item and the associate, Rebecca, was sooooo friendly. I really felt like she enjoyed her job and I was not "bothering" her, like I have at some stores. I know we are programmed to comment on the negatives of our experiences but I wanted to give a shout out to a wonderful person who made the experience effortless and positive. Thanks Rebecca!!!
Great staff! Have almost everything. Might have to go to superstore for smaller things. Maybe you'll get a smile on your receipt on the way out !????
Always packed and crowded no matter what time of day. Hard to park. For some reason they keep the carts outdoors on the opposite side of the door you have to go in. That means fighting pedestrian traffic with a cart in opposite direction. The prices are good but it's a highly cramped space to move around in. The layout could improve. Recommend Dartmouth crossing over Bayer's lake.
Good deals to be had, if you're willing to deal with the huge crowds. Tire center is too disorganized. All the hassle they put me through isn't worth the $$ I saved on my tires.
Standard Costco. We shop here a few times per week. It just requires a bit of self control in order not to overspend on some of the great deals.
I have recently came from states to visit my parents in Halifax. They have a gold star membership. My mother has cancer and is not able to go on a rainy day and purchase goods as well as my dad who is commercial driver and was not in the city. My mother gave me membership and I have purchased few items (total 3) and cashier told me first of all I cannot purchase it since it is not my card which I have told them right away, but I presented my state ID which clearly states exactly the same last name as my mothers. Even if they allowed me to purchase it, i was told only MasterCard is acceptable, as well as checks and cash. Like are you serious?! 21st century, and we have an option of one card? No discover, no Amex, no visa...? However, I was not able to make a purchase, was treated bad! I will never ever enter Costco again! Sams club has exactly the same business strategy and offer self-checkout instead of waiting in line in Costco for 3 items 20 min, as well as multiple paying options! Costco is ridiculous!
Typical Costco. If you see one you've seen them all. Still limited on snacks sorry free samples. Tire guys could maybe use a little more training on using their computer. Took a long time to order a tire.
Shopping here is unpleasant, I prefer regular grocery stores. There's only two in NS with limited hours making it painfully busy, so people are on edge. Staff are nice however
It's crowded. I still love going there. Best cutscof meat, reasonable prices on propane and you can find almost anything you could ever need.
I was only at Costco this time to fill up my 3 propane tanks. Arrived and got in propane lineup with only one person in front of me. Got tanks filled and went to pay and again there was only one person in front if me. When I went for my tanks there was not a sole ahead of me. Picked up two of my tanks and proceeded to my vehicle and when I put the tanks down at trunk of car, I looked up and there was the "propane attendant" coming with my third tank. Wow what service ! I recognize I may have lucked out because the propane station was not busy but hey, I want to recognize customer service nonetheless. I thanked him and off I drove. BTW, we were both masked and maintained acceptable distance.
Came in for dog food. Left with a dog bed ha. Always a great adventure
Good for whole sale purchase
Usual costco, but as soon as the covid restrictions eased a bit, there was no one to check on the people! No customer limit in store. No one to stop the increasing number of customers! No one to check if customers are wearing mask!
This a great place to shop. Costco has the best warranty on electronic products of any retailer in HRM. The product selection is varied and imported from around the world with many of the unique items only available at Costco. The parking lot is as a parking lot should be. Extra space on either side of the vehicle to allow you to open your doors unhindered. I appreciate their sense of customer service.
People are respecting the social distancing that is set place in the store and it is over crowded. Was not a pleasant shopping experience. Too many people at once trying to get in tone
Confusing when not using this Costco more often. I feel all locations should be set up the same format to make experience better.
What can you say about Costco other than it's awesome....
Thank you Costco, for saving us countless dollars in specialty supplies for our thriving business. We've taken full advantage of the executive membership, with loads of cash back on that as well as the Costco Mastercard. Refilling our ink cartridges with you has also been a huge deal for us, printing thousands of labels for our popular frozen meals at less than half the cost of factory cartridge prices! We have just one request moving forward. After hearing rumors of a new Costco location in the Annapolis Valley, possibly just south of a new exit that was recently constructed from the 101 to the New Minas sbopping district, we sincerely hope that this actually happens. Instead of driving for an hour every week for two hours, we'd be just 5 minutes away, and would likely increase our yearly purchases well into the six figure range. Thanks!
Costco as always is a great place to shop if you aren't an impulse buyer. Great prices, stocked shelves, speedy checkouts and tasty ice cream at the cafe on your way out.
Incredibly busy location compared to other Costco warehouses I've been too. It did not have efficiency in terms of checkout and the staff being able to navigate this. Closest Costco but not as enjoyable as many other locations in my opinion.
Plenty to offer at reasonable discounts, the only 2 wishes I have for this (or any Costco) are for a more sensible layout of the store so its easier to find things in the aisles, and for a less chaotic lineup at the checkout! This one has a bit more space than Dartmouth too.
Well organized, store is kept tidily and employees are willing to help. Cash is usually heavy, however, it is expected from Costco. Cash moves fast, usually it takes a couple of minutes, very rarely more than 5.
It's a Costco. Much like what is expected. I don't know why exactly, but this Costco has lower quality fruit and veggies. I find that if I buy veggies here they're already on the brink of death and have an extremely short fridge lifespan.
Great value for high quality. This location is a bit busier than the Dartmouth Crossing location. There are sometimes different products available at the two separate locations, so checking both can be beneficial when convenient. Getting around in the Dartmouth Crossing business park is far easier than in Bayers Lake.
I use the pharmacy you do not need a membership and they have the cheapest drug prices around you cannot find anywhere less expensive I guarantee it.
I love shopping Costco. I usually find 98-100% of foods on my list. Heavy crowds almost anytime of the day. The long lines move through the cash registers quick enough but the not through the aisles!
What can I say it's Costco just like every other Costco in the country sometimes they have the stuff you're looking for sometimes they don't it's like going into a winners if you don't get it when you see it might not see it the next time you're there they also have to start looking at the people that actually walk through the door their sizing for clothing small to 2XL just isn't enough for this population I personally see people that are my size and actually larger and wonder if they feel the same way I do about shopping for clothes here "not a bloody chance in hell"
You get 10 things and spend $200 lol. I loooove Costco. Best place when you have a large family and need to buy in bulk.
Customer service at this place rocks. They could stand to use more cashiers almost all the time. But the people service is excellent when it's there.
Plenty of supplies on all shelves. Buy as much as you want. Warehouse staffs were friendly. But the Tire Center is sometime is a hit or a miss. Tire service dept. were extremely busy during tire switch over seasons. Appointment confirmation is a must for service. If you have an unfortunate flat tire then you maybe out of luck to seek same day service. Two different occasions with a flat, got there but immediately send me home with my inflated limp puntured flat Costco tire to wait for provided appointment date from their Tire Department. Really nice ! Only if you are not in a hurry in need for service.
Not much to say. Typical Costco. Good selection, well stocked.
Costco is one if few supermarket chains that really care about clients, never had problems so far, I haven't tried their returning item policy because tbh I didn't need to return any thing I have purchased yet. And their Kirkland signature brand is superb!
Usually great and good quality items. I try to avoid this store on weekends since it's really busy.
It was on a Saturday morning so of course it was busy, even though we were there for 9:30 am. The problem seemed to be that a lot of the checkouts were not open, (I would think that the Saturday morning crowd at Costco should be pretty easy to anticipate), and people were lined up haphazardly around corners and all over the place... I will be going to the other Costco at Dartmouth crossing from now on.
Busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait in traffic and hope you find a parking spot once you get there. Other then that Costco is Costco so its great.
“Whites on the feed” Yep; pretty much sums it up. …
Its the good shopping ever and me and my mom evey time going shopping there and alot of people choose Costco
You really do need to make sure you are getting a deal as other places usually will have items on sale cheaper . Costco more for just buying in bulk . When it's super busy it's not really worth it. Check around.
Huge selection and great prices. Can be a lineup to get in or out.
This is a large store with a huge selection of items. Service is fast and friendly. Best time to go is a Monday after lunch. Not quite so busy.
Geoff Watkins, John Allen and Paul, sorry don't know Paul's last name, make a point of speaking to us when we are in the store, they are excellent employees who care very much about their customers. They make us feel very special. We feel that Costco Halifax, is very fortunate to have these employees. Thanks
The selection they have is like no other and the staff are very kind, not to mention the huge efforts they have been putting in to help keep the province safe against the pandemic. I'd be surprised if they didn't have what you are looking for
Great store! Lots of deals, and quite a few organic items. Love the foodcourt too. Often there are items you can't get anywhere else and the prices are great. The Kirkland brand is high quality
I love browsing through Costco! You never know what you might find. Sometimes there are very good bargins and although it's like a warehouse, you don't have to buy huge quantity's always.
This is a pretty typical Costco. It has the parking lot you would expect and like every Costco, it's hard to find a spot in the weekend rush. The staff are all very friendly and are always willing to help. This location also has a tire center that is affordable for service. The tires themselves are pretty expensive though.
I'm Costco fan. It is the best place for shopping and cheapest in the city. I like it's concept, layout, parking, everything is good here. Visio to that I bought ten years ago is still working, it travelled with me from West coast to East coast and still working. It is the best thing I ever bought. I am looking at the bbq and prices are awesome. It is cheaper in BC though but still fine in Halifax.
This is a good sized Costco with friendly, helpful employees but I will say this: it's ALWAYS BUSY. The parking lot is a good size, but finding a spot somewhat close can be a challenge. See: ALWAYS BUSY. I haven't been to the Dartmouth Costco much, so I can't compare, but I've tried hitting Costco Bayers Lake on a Tuesday morning at 10-11am and the place was still packed. Anyway, grumblings about parking aside, it's a good store that always seems well stocked.
Where do I start..to get to this place is already a challenge giving the traffic..so busy inside just insane how many customers they let in.
This place has everything. Because it so wonderful, I'm just gonna point out the areas where they're lacking. The prices you see in store don't match with the prices online. They adjust there prices by the amount of inventory and they don't price match with the online store either. You can't change your profile information online. You have to go into the store to update your personal information on your profile. Sometimes they do a bad job bagging your groceries but that's just on the staff member. Other than that. This costco location is amazing friendly service and it has everything you could need.
Signed up as a new member and had a walk around with the girlfriend. The place is huge ????????. A person could go broke in there if there not careful lol. Lots of good buys. I'll be going back again for sure.
Went for an eye exam and to get new magnetic clipon sunglasses. Optometrist was great and gave through answers to all my inquiries
Good costco... always consistent and what you'd expect... hint;...get someone to get you a Costco Cash Card and you can use it to get a temp day membership... you can use the gift card plus any cash you bring with you ( cannot use their debit or credit with a temp membership )
When u need 50 rolls of toilet paper, 200 ziplock freezer bags and a whole sheep while getting your tires changed. Just needs to add a few gasoline pumps to be perfect.
Attended Costco location October 31 2020. Was going threw the checkout when my adult daughter started to have a seizure. Cashier asked if she was okay, our reply no we must exit the store . Cashier rudely stated she should have stayed home. In other words people with disablities are not welcomed at Costco. This cashier represents Costco front line of service, makes you wonder.
Excellent staff, always has everything I'm looking for! Could offer more produce selection.
What can I say! It’s Costco! Great prices and great items! Wish they’d bring more diverse food items. The restaurant is understaffed and you usually see a 10-15 min wait time for your food.
Can't really say anything bad about this place I usually go for the exact same things every time and they're always there. Except for the egg whites they seem to always move the egg whites around LOL. Love the sample times as well good job
Awesome Store. I always enjoy watching the employees because they always seem completely happy and content in their jobs. Great store, great product, great service. Cheers
Only issues I have had is purchasing salad greens. Many times have gotten them home and they’ve been soggy. End up throwing them out. Did return a couple times. Stopped buying them after that.
Good selection. I can usually find what I need. Favourite items include the Dr Praegers veggie burgers, large packages of spinach and cream cheese.
Staff are nice and friendly. But supply of items is awful. Dartmouth Wholesale is more preferable.
When will they get back Kumamoto tomatoes and romaine lettuce.
Halifax is woefully under-served by Costco. This is obvious to anyone ever needing to find a parking space there at virtually any time, or trying to navigate your shopping cart with wonky wheels around half the population of Halifax in there at the same time creating absolute gridlock. But even though they obviously need either a much bigger store, or an additional Halifax location, I would still commend this branch for at least doing what they can to mitigate the fact that shoppers are crammed into that giant tin can like sardines (with terrible cell reception in a store that caters to businesses - go figure...) Even though the check out lines at times may resemble those scenes from zombie movies where survivors go on looting sprees, the cashiers are very fast at moving everyone trough and the management seems very responsive in assigning additional cashiers when things get hyper crazy. Their meat selections are excellent (especially their rib-eye steaks), and I love their increased promotion of healthier/alternative diet grocery products like gluten free products, quinoa etc.
Great place for bulk purchases
Didn't like the experience at all. In have been going to Costco for years in the States but here it was sheer bedlam! Not sure what caused the rudeness of the shoppers and their panic mode but my husband I couldn't get out of there fast enough. This has happened twice while we were in Nova Scotia. Will avoid Costco in the future while visiting Canada.
There's a lot of people and it's crowded almost all the time. They have good quality goods and most of the foods are fresh.
Excellent shopping experience, lots of cost savings, friendly staff and a wide range of offerings.
Ordered a dishwasher, but had to buy a Costco membership to do so. Gotta wait for them to contact me “4 to 10 business days” to arrange delivery. Fingers crossed
Well it's a Costco like all the others, but kept well stocked even on Sunday afternoons. And the staff are friendly and helpful
Costco can be cost effective even if you are buying for two. The produce is cheaper than any regular grocery and items like cheese are much cheaper. The two disappointments I have are the lack of items with less sodium or fat. I understand that it is hard to stock regular and reduced but some items have enough sodium to last you a weeks worth. The other is the size of the meat cuts. Good prices and very good quality but the thickness of things like steaks and chops are like feeding the Flintstones. I would buy more meat but hate trying to cook a 2 to 3inch steak. Wish there was the option to buy the same content just cut so an average person can eat it. But I easily save enough money to buy my membership back. And there is a pretty good standard to most of the products they sell.
Love that store it's so big you spent days in there you got to watch it though you really have to know your prices for other stores they have a ton of everything lost starting shroom wheelchair accessible you got to get there early to avoid the crowds the lineups are usually long but there really fast
For us the number one store! For a big family, party and weekend BBQ! Costco is our go to place!
I only shop here because you get good deals on commonly purchased items and their return policy is amazing. Other than that, I hate the shopping experience. Most of the staff is friendly but the people at the entrance need to be a bit less rude. What is the deal with asking for Costco membership card at entrance? I get it during normal times this is fine, but during covid times this can be a pain with everyone crowding at the entrance. Rest of the store is mostly over-crowded as well and I am so glad (thanks to Covid) they got rid of the food sampling! People are extremely rude to get their "free food" and adults behave like dogs to get their treats ... disgusting!
Check busy times before you go. When busy it is stressful.
Had sex with a male employee in the handicap washroom after filling my Vicodin perscrition. Let's just say I lasted alot longer due to that blue little pill. 10/10 would smash again.
Good protocols in place, had what I went for, was able to get in get what I wanted speedily and safely.
Great time not many people lots of great sales
Costco is always great when doing a full grocery order. But go early and through the week. Gets busy fast.
Always great but the diaper section is hard to find. It's not close to the cashiers as it is in other Costcos.
Consistently move things from where they used to be, to the point of it being impossible to find things on my list that I have gotten there several times before. Even asked a staff member and they had no idea where to find it.
Went here for the first time in a while. Lots of space and loved that the company is providing masks for those who don't own one or have one on them.
Best prices on a lot of things! Can get busy at times.
We headed out early this morning and parked at Halifax Costco at about 8:45 am. The store was supposed to open at 9:30. A few minutes after we arrived a lineup began to grow so we grabbed a cart and got into the lineup as quickly as we could. At 9 am the Costco folks kindly opened the store early. The Costco employees were out in storm doing their very best to keep things running smoothly. It was crowded, but we got our regular groceries and got out of there by about 9:40. My wife and I are crack killer commando shopaholics. The only thing we missed was we wanted to see if they had any outdoor rain barrels, but we decided to skip that this week, just because the crowds were unrelenting. I want to thank those hard-working Costco employees who are doing their best to help their customers. They always seem like such a cheery bunch. At its craziest, I still enjoy shopping at Costco.
Great warehouse style store to shop to buy food, clothes or any household objects and gadgets. Nice saving. Staff are very nice and helpfull. Easy to find and park. Cheapest propane in town.
Great prices on items love it. Be a member and you will enjoy shopping at Costco.
Straight forward Costco. Recently added self checkout which really can save you time especially if you aren't making large purchases.
Sometimes I'll just come up here with friends and family and just be nosy at the things they have. You can find things here that places like Wal-Mart or whatever don't carry. Usually they do great with those little samples of what they sell but, in case you've been living under a rock, they probably won't be bringing that back for quite a while.
Tribble experience with sooooo bad costumer service
A great place to shop, You never know what surprises you might come across while shopping here. I always like going to Costco, Halifax when I'm in the city.
Great place to shop if you buy in bulk for family. But not the best option if you are a single person household as the food is in bulk and spoils
I love Costco but they need a 6 or less items checkout option.
Always great ! Lots of food items and choices even some organic ones.
Saturday after Good Friday and everything was surprisingly fast and organized. When checkout line started to get long, all registers opened and line disappeared
If you want a preview of what Hell will be like come here on a Thursday night or a weekend. Don't try to call them they do not pick up the phone and you can not get a price of anything online as they do not have the same items online as they do in store
Staff are often way too rushed when checking you out. The packers are rough the items and sometimes are rude. Look up as you scan and Smile people! I pay for a membership it would be nice to at least get a hello from staff on the floor.
The Costco Halifax Tire Department does not answer their phone, despite the tire change appt. website stating one should call for walk in times.
My weekly go to store, got some appliances recently at great prices
Great stiff although the lines were messed up and the cashiers are very very small and horrible for someone with claustraphobia like me
Like most Costco locations, it's a complete madhouse. Trying to get from A to B while contending with all other customers is worse that trying to get there! Pros are very friendly staff, and lots of great deals and food samples! The savings always outweighs the cons.
It's a Costco. You know what it's all about. This one is clean, well stocked, and had a helpful staff.
Staff is helpful. Store is normally pretty busy. Sometimes the line to checkout goes the length of the store. They do get staff to help organize the lines to expedite the process though.
Nice Costco with a good selection
I wanted pomagranite juice but hey didnt have any. I had to return tower fan and that was a excellent experience as always. It always easy to do return.
You should your homework on item prices. Some things are a good deal, while some others are not. Great staff!
What more can be said than Costco. It's the same as every other Costco out there. There are a few differences when looking at floor plans, but the experience will be just like any other Costco.
I use the Costco pharmacy for my prescriptions. It is consistently cheaper in fees than other pharmacies. You don't need a Costco membership to access it.
First of all, I am executive member and we spend at least $500 per month in Costco. The cashiers at this location are very rude and subjective. We are not going there anymore. First time in this store several months ago they billed us with a few items not from our cart. Don't go there Costco in Dartmouth is not the best either, but much better than Costco at Bayers Lake.
In Dartmouth Costco is better. More products represented. More space.
We love Costco..
Great place to buy household and business items. My favourite products are the electronics and technologies. Best place to buy apple products.
They were responsible for provided food for my sisters wedding reception. The food was never made and ruined the supper. Employees on night shift said the order was there for day shift but "they just didn't do it." The manager refunded 3 free trays of the 5. And we were told that was "more than enough for your inconvenience". More than enough for ruining my sisters wedding. You'd think these people were paying for it out of their own pockets. My mother was spoken down to when asking about a full refund. Which had actually been promised her my another "manager" who apparently didn't have the "authority" to promise a full refund. This isn't about the money it's the principle.
Costco fan. Like buying in bulk. Would like to see more local products
Cashier rude. First time in many years been treated like that. Even threw my items around. Did report. Not happy
I always love going to Costco. They have good prices on many items, the lines move fairly fast even on busy days. Best soft serve ice cream in town.
Costco is a good wholesale market to purchase all the items in one place. You need a membership card to enter into the Costco. Most of the items are cheaper here than any other place.
We shop here regularly and love it. There's a massive selection of items. The prices are competitive. Most impressive is the efficiency of the checkout process - even when the lineup is so long it scares you, the wait is never long.
Its Costco .... always amazing!
This place has great deals, and I love the fact they have samples there of a variety of things. This place however is very hectic, and while I wouldn't expect anything else due to how big the place is and how popular it is, it is similar to the Ikea madness haha. Still love it, though!
The famous Canadian whole sale and retail Costco. They have got almost everything. You will find the best prices.
Great prices on everything very spacious nice staff from what I saw and great location
Always busy but they whip you through so quickly!
Always a S#it show. Way too busy and people here are general unaware of their surroundings. Just walking into each other, or talking on a cellphone whilst checking out. Wish I never had to go back
Costco is great. It's akways very busy and I think a third store in HRM would be packwd too. One out in the Tantallon area would w just perfect.
I feel like their food should be a separate rating for the hot meals they sell at Costco for which I would give them 5 stars as well. Costcos are always very large buildings and I like all the room we are given in the aisles. They always have great sales.
Awesome place to shop groceries. They got more than u need in as big quantities as u need.
Great place to shop as long as you have some self-control. Never had any issue with staff when we had defects or other issues. Cafeteria could have healthier options.
Pretty busy but also pretty efficient.
Wireless Etc. || BUYER BEWARE!! Save yourself a headache and never buy a phone here from Wireless Etc. Go to Best Buy, Walmart anywhere but here. I bought the extended warranty for my phone in 2016, it recently became defective and now it's been over a 2 month process trying to get my phone reimbursement. They deal with a third party for warranties (Asurion) who could care less about customer service because they already have your money. In the last 2 months I've called them about 20 times just getting the run around over and over again. I ended up buying a phone out of pocket at Best Buy. The representatives at Wireless Etc. and Assurion do not have a shred of organizational commitment. The fact that they get another company to deal with extended warranties speaks volumes about how much Wireless Etc. cares about it's customers.(They don't!) If I could rate this lower than 1 star I would.
Good location, wide variety of items, friendly staff, and very efficient checkouts.
I do not shop there anymore! I had a cashback Mastercard that was associated with Costco, now cancelled, and I had to present myself, and the coupon there in person.....I live 4.5 hours away in Glace Bay!!
It's okay as far as bulk sale stores go ,not exactly as good as the ones you'll find in the states but with a keen eye and some time to kill you can make it out of here with some pretty good deals I'd say the price range is $$ to $$$$
Seemed very organized. Not busy. Good experience.
Great go-to spot for buying in bulk. Staff are always friendly and helpful and I like how they unload and load your cart for you before paying. Why not 5 stars? I'd rather not be seeing Christmas decorations in the middle of August!
No matter what time you go to Costco or what time, it is always busy. Their neat and produce are excellent and prices are very good
Great place for families to buy affordable groceries in bulk. The bill for our family (2 adults + 1 toddler + 1 pet) come roughly to $350-$450/month which is a huge save of about $150-200 if we had to go to the other supermarkets. A what we buy is mostly fresh foods too, not solely canned goods as we initially thought we would be getting from costco. There are some healthy snack options too. There are some good brands of clothing too (i.e. CK, Adidas, Nike, etc)..but you have to keep an eye out for these everytime you visit, as only a few brands come in at one time so theres not much choice at one given visit. They have a decent fast food lunch cafe in this location so after paying for our groceries we have a small lunch there - chicken wings are great with the hot sauce and unlimited pop!
Lots of ppl lots of Christmas goodies
Wide selection, great prices, clean and spacious.
Costco has lost its edge with pricing, milk is now $5.75, Walmart is $5.38 and Irving is $5.19 on Thursday and Friday. This is just one example of how Costco has lost its competitive edge, there are many more, and we pay a fee to shop there!
Best place to shop for great deals, I love coming here and the ice cream is so good.
No matter what time I go there it is always busy. I usually find what I am looking for and the deals are excellent. We are long time supporters of this location.
Nice staffing. Clean but busy lol. Lots of stock . Good buys. ????
Very busy, as all Costco's are. However, checkout runs pretty smoothly and sometimes there are great deals.
It's Costco..... You will buy too much, spend too much and wait in line too much.
What can you say about Costco that you don't already know? It's clean, it's big and you spend lots of money! ;)
The best shopping experience. Most stuff cheaper than the market.
Due to Covid19 Costco wiped down the carts as you enter the store. Unfortunately they have discontinued this practice.
Great place to shop but never enough cashiers on. You always have a line up...
Love Costco. Great for the diapers and wipes. Save me money for sure.
It's a Costco. What else needs to be said.
Love Costco, But Halifax has out grown this location....Dartmouth Crossing is much better. Where is the gas bar??
There is nothing wrong with the Bayer's Lake Costco, but if you have the choice, the Dartmouth Crossing location is bigger and newer.
Lately the staff in Bayers Lake is very rude. Using the Covid-19 restrictions as excuse, they just yell as if people were breaking any distancing rules when clearly, they aren't. Lady packaging was basically throwing the items in the cart, carelessly. They really should work on their manners.
It would have been A 5 Star...but they have to install traffic lights, stop signs, and paint some lane
Giant sized and cheap, everything you could possibly want. Well, almost! Always come put pf here with more then what I went I for because who can pass up a great deal? Sometimes the lines are crazy long and people are cranky, but if you go closer to the end of the day when they close it's less busy. Just don't go on the weekend or before a storm!
Lots of food samples, great deals, and friendly staff. It would be nice to see better hours, and I wish that the little cafe wasn't cash-only.
Always busy on the weekend but they have all registers open so it moves pretty quickly. Best bet for when to go, either 2 ish in the afternoon or just after the opening rush in the morning.
Service is great, wish there were more vegan options at this location.
Very good food, the $1.50 ($1.75 total) hotdog and drink is a must have it's extremely good and ready right away
As usual always awesome
Really big place. Very helpful nice staff. Awesome bathrooms. Really good toilet paper.
My favorite place to visit. Sometimes before COVID-19 I would go there 2 times a week. Thanks for your service. Some great helpful staff especially the outdoor guys who help persons with disabilities. I told them I had a heart attach and they put everything in the trunk for me with a smile and beautiful attitude. Most Costco employees in Dartmouth are fairly happy and fair.
I spend way to much money here when I come but I love it ????
Lots of amazing deals at Costco. Always been a pleasure shopping here, their premade food is amazing and their clothing section and quality of clothes is fantastic!
Most shoppers barge around without order. Workers are cranky. Great prices on eggs, and much more. If you are close enough I recommend going to the Dartmouth crossing location! Nicer staff, shoppers are more courtious.
Good place to buy in bulk
The place was clean, the carts were disinfected, the staff were friendly and it wasn't too crowded.
We're from Toronto so to visit a Costco without crazy crowds before a long weekend is a very odd sight. Nice easygoing feel to it consistent with Halifax. Same selection as any other costco but they do carry some Atlantic faves like Covered Bridge chips!
We have a standard list of products we shop for and getting ready for Christmas baking. Service was good !
They never answer their phone. Just for fun I call about 10 Costco's in canada and they ALL answered there phone in less than 30 SECONDS. What is the Problem at the Dartmouth NS Location??? First of all I want to point out that I am a dedicated, loyal Costco shopper however the Costco in Halifax is the first one in Canada that will not answer their phone in Administration. Tried numerous times today and never did get someone to answer the phone?? Otherwise Costco Canada and the USA gets a 5 Star rating from me.
It like the place but we pay money to be a member but so long of line up's its annoying of your just trying to be quick
Good Times, Great Deals... The Chicken Salad and Lysol wipes are what keeps me coming back.
The Dartmouth location is better than the Halifax one. Regardless, it is worthwhile even though missing some items such as frozen corn.
It is great. However, you should be able to pay for your propane without having to go thru everything to get in the store
What more can be said about how great Costco is. Their prices can't be beat (mind you have to buy in bigger quantities sometimes), their electronics have better warranties than manufacturers, they'll take back anything you're not satisfied with. Well worth the price of membership
We like this store because it is closer to home and often has what we need, but the self checkout at the Dartmouth Crossing location is a lot more convenient as it's just the two of us and we dont often have a lot to purchase at one time. Staff are always great at both locations!
Who doesn't love Costco. Sometimes items priced high be sure to shop around. But love Costco
Love Costco, though it gets pretty busy. Be prepared to spend at least one hour (between shopping and waiting at the checkout).
We love shopping here. The membership is ver much worth the money and we always manage to find new and affordable things to try every time we visit. In addition to this, the staff are always very friendly and offer to help whenever they can. The food court is also delicious!
Love Costco. Great prices on everything and the staff couldn't be friendlier. The best place for grocery shopping, hands down.
It's Costco. No-one will help you on the floor. If you have a question, you have to abandon your cart, walk through the checkout, wait in line at "customer service," then go back to your cart. It's Costco. If your membership lapses, and a month passes, they will renew it from when it expired, not when you renewed it, costing you time. It's Costco. Better for families or multiples, not great for singles living alone - do I need six red peppers, or three loaves of bread, or 12 bagels? It's Costco. You can bring in a friend to see what it's like, but they have to pay in cash. It's Costco. Receipt checker at the door sometimes treats you like the criminal they think you are. It's Costco. Sometimes good prices, but double check because the sales aren't always good savings. It's Costco. Checkout and other staff usually friendly, even with long lines. Pharmacy a good saving for prescriptions - I save about $40 every three months. The store is bright, usually clean, very huge floor. Food court a great deal. These are also Costco. A mixed blessing.
Got there at 5pm on a Saturday after the place had been ravaged. Had to climb up on a pallet to score some paper towel as I'm sure they can only forklift after hours. I survived!
I'm really annoyed know. I usually don't check my receipt as I trust the cashiers. Yesterday I felt the bill is high for the stuff I bought. I'm checking know finding he charged me 3 time the protective shield. I'm calling know answer dont want to drive as it will cost me same as the extra charge
Always really busy but the employees are very fast and don't stand in line long
Pete and Pat's Perogies are back! They are so good and have a wider variety of flavours than is generally available around Halifax.
Recieving guy doesn't have respect for drivers, he dont know how to talk with drivers.
Go to store for large quantity items only. Toilet paper, milk that kind of stuff. Also great for rich people who like to look at kitchen sets and patio furniture they don't actually need.
Its Crazy How Much We Shop Here!
This Costco does what Costco does well, bulk items and specialty bulk items you can't find anywhere else. I would recommend visiting on a weekday, the weekends here can get pretty crazy as people travel from farther away to shop.
Pushy cashier, took my card out of my hand and gave to some other employee to check to see if I had an upgrade without my permission. When discovered that I had, wrote all over it and passed it back. Not once explained his actions.... Totally not appropriate...
One of the worse Costco I’ve been in. Store set up is terrible, parking lot is a nightmare people parking in fire lanes because they are too lazy to walk , the entrance/ exit is in the wrong location. The people shopping at this store are rude leaving carts in the middle of the aisle.
Standard Costco, staff are helpful. Go in for a $10 pack of dish soap and spend $300. #WorthIt
Good as usual. Good service and helpful staff.
It's Costco. Always busy, always good staff.
Great for bulk shopping, just be careful how much vegetables you buy there lol it’s so much if you don’t pre pack your food and make them ready in to go containers for your lunches and snacks, they might go bad quick as you get so much for a great price. Shop responsibly and eat healthy.
Its Costco it's always great there. The staff are so patient and helpful
Bring the entire grocery list to buy, its not worth standing in that 1 mile long line up with a pack of band aid. Cheap and yummy food is the best reason to own a Costco card.
great place to shop, we buy our baby formula there on a regular. Two things to note are that you get the best deals here in bulk, so dont enter expecting to spend a normal amount grocery shopping as you can easily over spend. But with that said, your purchases will last longer. Another thing, is the line ups can be long so come with patients.
Definitely go on s Tuesday if you can. It's so busy on the weekends. But great staff. And they are fast.
People are so rude and push you around. It's uncalled for and I will never go back
As good as any Costco, but they seriously need to do something about the lineups at the cash when it's busy.
Lots of options, some things are always available while other things change weekly making it a great place to shop other then the great prices.
Really recommend they keep using the people to point you in the direction of which cash to go to once things are back to "normal". While we were in a long line, things went smoothly and quickly. As well, masks were provided at the door for those needing them.
Do not order furnitures. Got delivered broken items and when contacted Costco, was asked to contact some other vendor directly instead of Cosco taking accountability.
Cheap price with good product
Good prices on quality items. Good refund policy. But make sure that you really need the large quantities.
Lasagna amazing loved it fill pickle salad OMG
Groceries fine, although no one seems to bother with social distancing anymore. On the way out my wife and I saw the wings to go, went to the booth ordered, order number 246 (this is important) …. Waited, 10 minutes later they’re calling order 254, another 5 mins abc they call 259 who has ordered 2x buckets of wings - now I’m peeved, go and ask where our order 246 is and are informed the wings have just gone in so it’ll be at least 7 mins, SO NOT IMPRESSED, will never get food to go from there ever again. And it wasn’t busy either.
They do not have signs that indicate where things are. You have to go through the whole store trying to find things..probably on purpose. The hot dogs are amazing..and a fabulous price...been the same price for about 20 years.
A great place to spend money!Great deals on food, clothes an other goods with pretty good quality.Lines can be long but move along pretty quickly.
Always special deals great displays has everything you would need in a one shop stop..jist can add up to 400. Very easily.. I have specific items i go there for monthly
Great place to shop. They care about their customers.
Normally very busy. And if you can during the last hour or so, they don't have ground beef left. Great return/exchange warrent. The costco membership itself isn't that expensive for the savings it provides either. I just just make sure you have room for the bulk of some of their products. Would recommend
Good buys on things we use often. Annoying when they run out of a simple thing like bulk Sunmaid Raisins though.
Always love Costco. If it weren't for them I don't think I'd be able to afford to feed my dog or cat.
Love me Costco. Hate how busy it can get. But that's not their fault.
All the staff is so rude, i cannot find anything i want to buy, the prices are way too high (it's cheaper to shop at walmart). The staff got mad at me just because i couldn't hear what he said because his voice was too quiet. Never going there again. I just wasted 69 dollars on the membership card.
Love their prices and the products they offer the only reason there is not 5 stars is bcuz of the time it takes to find parking then to cash out...as long as you go with extra time on ur hands you will be 100 percent satisfied as their prices cannot be beat and their product is quality product.
Was disappointed with some staff, one in the optometry area in particular, who were wearing their masks below their nose. The one man had his o low that i could see his mouth when he talked.
Awesome place to shop if you like buying in bulk. Needs better checkout options.
Very crowded still very hard to maintain any type of social distancing..
I guess Costco membership worth when you have a large family or frequent buyers of electronics...or else I don't see benefit of paying $$$ for membership.
Great place to shop but you do have to wait at the checkouts even when they are all open needs to expand their check out service
Terrible customer service. Said tire install would take 1.5 hours but took way longer and not even a place to sit down and wait.
Great place to shop!
What can you really say about Costco. This was the first Costco in Nova Scotia (back when it was called Price Club) The store is showing its age but still has all the features of a new store. The staff is quick getting people through the checkout process. The store can be very busy, it is best to go early if possible to avoid the crowds.
Everything and anything. Great place to spend all our money.
Everyone had masks on this visit. It wasn't too crowded (for Costco) on an early Monday afternoon. Found everything I needed. I've been avoiding stores as much as possible and ordering online, but visiting in store wasn't a bad experience.
Located in bayer's lake ... 15 mins drive from downtown halifax. Member only warehouse which has good collections of groceries, electronics, photo/copy center, vision and tire center. Lots of parking space available. Also near by to other super stores like Walmart, Atlantic superstore, theater and restaurants. It also has a fast food center.
A lot of good deals here. Lineups are always really long though.
I hate Costco. Too many people carelessly driving giant carts full of stuff, long lines... But, when you need a giant cart full of stuff, there is nowhere better to go. They also have cheap hotdogs, which might be the best reason to get a membership.
Excellent experience the workers helped me find everything I needed. After shopping I sat down and had a really good and affordable meal at the costco food and drink bar.
Long lineups, no real deals for seniors, no seating in food court, not a pleasurable experience.
I like this Costco, check out lines are fast and organized.
Great service and deals (favourite is paying like $14 for a pack of 5 deodorant sticks where the same sticks at Shoppers are $8 each. Ordered winter tires hear and the service from the tire centre was great, although a little slow at the counter due to being November and one of their busiest times of the year and only having one guy at the counter
costco food is weirdly good and the strawberry cheesecake is amazing
Costco is the best place to shop for groceries. Unmatched prices and quality.
It's Costco, so everything you need in a big size. This store is busier than the Dartmouth store, but seems like check out was fast anyway.
Convenience, lots of fresh produce and reasonable prices on items. Only shortcomings is the need of a gas station at the Halifax and Dartmouth outlet.
Cashier was very rude. She practically threw my items on the counter. I usually shop at Dartmouth. Think I will stick to Dartmouth. Girl on door out was not friendly either
Great place to shop for just about everything as always. Don't forget to treat yourself to the best soft ice cream in the world on way out.
Over crowding in the store in the aisles at times , no space at the check out sometimes , brushing past people at the checkout , less than one foot at some checkout counters. Not recommend during Covid. I prefer a small store with less people and organized check outs. Very disappointed in this American store. Bad enough we support these American stores and give them tax breaks ,Canadian companies can’t get the breaks , support Canada !!!
This store has a wide variety products. Baked goods are fantastic and fresh. Meats and produce are always fresh. There are generally many items on sale here. Clothing is along a great buy. Kids to adult sizes are available. All products are reasonably priced. At the cash register there is, most often, long lines but the staff is proficient in their job and lines move quickly. Where can you get a large hot dog and a refillable drink for a buck and a half.
Great place to shop. Ever changing selection of product. Great fresh meat selection. Only wish they would have a constant supply of prime beef cuts. Staff are always helpful. Jeff at the cash registers is always my go to cashier. He is friendly and fast.
Fridges seem to be down alot. Store is clean And staff are helpful.
Love their prices and special sales. Lg packaging and products and return policy. Also propane food cort a d photo.
Went to apply for a membership/credit card, was greeted by possibly the rudest help desk member I have ever seen in my life. Terrible service
Clean, well stocked, covid measures are good. Fast line ups even when its busy
True to any North American Costco. However I did find that it doesnt carry some products that I like that I can find in western Canada.
Great experience all around. The store was clean and organized. The staff were friendly and inviting. The checkouts were fast which was nice.
Quality products, nice big parking stalls, and fast lineups
Very nice. Surprised seafood was more expensive than in Ottawa. Was nice to see Farmers milk again!
Crazy busy on Saturday's
Always like Costco, not happy when they discontinue things. Some checkout staff need to understand why subtotal is needed and not ignore you when you to explain.
Lots of stuff for a good price per item. Expect to buy enough to last a while. Good value. Its always busy though so come prepared to spend a while browsing and waiting in line
My first time to this place I must say I'm going to get a membership for this place
Store is well organized and staff does a great job to keep it clean. Good location and usually very busy on the weekend.
Love it...the quality of the products are mostly very good...even the apparel section has new bargains every week...the produce section is vast...fruit quality is very good
Extremely long waiting time for cashier ????
Always find something I need to have!
I purchased these glasses from your eye wear dept. In late 2019. A few months ago, I noticed these strange spots on them. Now, they are so bad, I can hardly see with them. A few days ago, I went back to tell them about my problem and the lady said, oh..after a bit of time the coating wears off and there is nothing we can do to help you! I told the lady that I have been wearing glasses since I was 12 years old..I am 69, and have never had my glasses look like these! I am very dissappointed in the service I received at Costco. I love the store and shop there as much as possible BUT the eye care centre has dissappointed me!! I paid almost $400 for these glasses.
Better prices for wholesale products and some individual products compared to rest of the supermarkets but limited variety of products.
What can I say. It's Costco. Great store, great products. Usually save some coin.
I love Costco, and my only issue today is why have seniors hours at Dartmouth Crossing if Propane service doesn't open til 9:00.
I went at 3pm, was great at that time...hard to find anyone to help you, was looking for an item for over an hour, finally a staff member came to my rescue. Other than that great. Should be more staff to help with simple questions.
Has a lot of variety and offers many services. Optical, pharmacy, car garage, bbq tanks refilled, 50lbs of cat litter.
Took 10 minutes to find an empty space and 30 minutes to get through the checkout line. I have less hassle shopping at stores that don't demand I pay for a membership and can find comparable or better pricing and a greater selection of products.
Costco has some terrific items at great prices, if you use enough to buy in bulk. This store is most appropriate for families and businesses who consume enough so that they won’t end up having food spoil before they can eat it all. Helpful hint: this is Costco, not Needs, so don’t think you are going to dart in to pick up a few quick items. If you do, be prepared for a long wait behind people with $200-$300 worth of stuff in their cart.
Customer service at the Halifax Costco is not a priority at all. The Dartmouth Costco is very customer service oriented. We live close to Halifax Costco but choose to shop at Dartmouth Costco because of their fabulous customer service.
Its costco...lots of pushy people trying to buy a years worth of toilet paper. Curb side pick up would be nice.
I asked about a product I couldn't fine. The cashier told me where to find it, the next customer had the product on the counter, ask if I wanted her to scan it, it would be on my bill, then I could get it. I said "Thank you, I 'll do that So we did that. I was happy to get the product I went there for. (mango juice, was the product)
Do not purchase a large item for delivery online as the whole delivery tracking system is a lie. I ordered a LG washer and dryer on 30th September they sent the emails, I followed the delivery tracking instructions and was told delivery 4-10 days. Then the system told me the delivery date was confirmed as 8th October. The day came and I started chasing as no delivery window time was provided. Turns out the system never tells the truth the 8th was the date the units would arrive at the warehouse; they actually didnt arrive until the morning of the 9th. Now I'm told I have to wait until Tuesday 15th for the delivery; that's way over the 4-10 days they quote. Oh and the woman on the phone spouted at me that their days only count Monday to Friday. What a load of lies; now I have masses of laundry and a long weekend. NEVER AGAIN COSTCO you are totally untrustworthy.
Regardless of the hr they are open and regardless of the numbers of people shopping the staff are able to efficiently direct people through.
Good for some deals but otherwise a terrible place to shop. Some of the staff are exceptionally rude, especially when I politely inform them that I would like to put my own items in the cart. The staff seem to want to do this themselves so they can throw you items into the cart as fast as possible to get you out of the way. Problem is they often damage items in the process. I personally hate shopping here.
Well stocked shelves but always so busy. Wish they'd have all the cash lanes open to have quicker transactions.
There is so much stuff, the purchase I made is so much more than a regular grocery store, it's almost as good as when I was a child.
Liked it, but didn't like it. Crowded! Items are great for people with large families, but not for seniors only needing smaller quantity items.
Getting more and more congested.Gonna cut my weekly visit to monthly.
Signed up for a Costco card. Like the store very much
I have been a member here for many years but im finished. Spent over an hr trying to get propane bottle filled and then told i had to stand in line for another 40 mins to pay for it . This place is crazy now. Ill gladly pay more somewhere else so that i dont have to stand in line all day. Good luck people
Same as usual. You buy, you pay, you leave.
I am so mad. Was at Dartmouth Costco wanting to buy chairs but they only had 2. Went to the service counter and asked if they had more. Was told they had no more but Halifax has 44. Drove 25min( burning gas and my time). Went to the location where they were supposed to be. I seen 4 and then went to the service counter and asked about the other 40 chairs. She said she will send someone over to help. Once he arrived, he told me there was no real location for the rest so they would have to be up in the shelves. He went around a few isles but could not find them. He said it would be like finding a needle in a hay stack. So, left there with no chairs and with the pruce of gas and my time gone. Think you should get yourself organized so things like this wouldn't happeb to other customers. I am an Executive member that spens enough mo ey there every year. I hope you have a great day because you just ruined mine. Thanks for nothing
Great place to shop
Friendly staff, didn't take long to get what I needed. It was busy but didn't take long get through to the cashier.
Costco always has whatever you need at a lower price. The queues are long at the beginning of the week, end month and usually a day or two before a storm since people prefer to stock up incase of emergencies. Management is proactive in moving the queues at the till faster.
Not too crowded on a Tuesday afternoon. I got in and out relatively quickly. No strawberries or cherries though unfortunately.
Costco is Costco , been in one ... you can pretty much say youv'e been in all of them . The only differences I have seen is the layout of merchandise is left to right or right to left , and whether or not it has gas pumps in the parking lot.
Cheap ,high quality food
Extremely poor services from Barb. Would not sign a form needed to put a plate on a trailer. Would not recommend this store. What does she wants me to do with a trailer that I cannot plated?
Use it all the time. Other customers can get a little testy though. Take it easy...
Who doesn't like Costco. Problem is it's hard to walk out with less than 200 bucks.
The real go-to place. Nice price, nice service, nice return policy which is even better than Amazon !! 2% cash back is awesome way to pay off $120 membership fee, and earn extra if you purchase more than $250 per month.
Normally from my previous experiences I'd have five stars and not the three for this situation: The blue bags that come in a bulk box of 80 have until now fitted the bins we have here at home. The latest box of 80 with the same sizes marked on the new box as the old box do not fit the bins and measure slightly smaller, enough not to fit.
I want to separate my bill. One is for my home and the other I will pay it by my company credit card. The cashier the elder lady feel angry about me cause this maybe too complicated and she rolled her eyes for two times for me!
Love Costco! Always have great finds and long line ups! Great customer service makes up for the wait times!
Crazy spot. I love Costco, but the zoo known as the parking lot and the typically large lines are not motivational factors to go there.
Stopped in last Thursday. The place was nuts. No attempts at social distancing by people and there was no cleaning of carts taking place!
Great place to find everything in one spot.
Awesome deals and prices. Kirkland dog food and treats are excellent qaulity and price. Best price for dog beds too. Buy bulk and save. $1.50 for large hotdog and pop. Love it. Good place to see morons pulling their shopping carts from the front or pulling it from the side as they walk so no one can get by them.
Great pricing on fresh veggies. Coupons are always available for needed house hold items. And cheap toilet paper to hold you over for at least 100 taco suppers.
Looked good in the store and even better at home.
I guess this is a good place if your a business, but for the everyday average Joe not so much, don't get me wrong it's got good prices if your shopping in bulk, but I wouldn't travel a long distance to go shopping there.
I'm a diabetic. When I was waiting at the Pharmacy in Costco. My sugar dropped and I needed something to bring it up fast.so I went to the food court to order a berry Sunday. There was a big line up.so I went to the young lady who worked there.i told her what was going on.she got me the sunday and took me to the med room so I could get it down. She stayed with me.she told me all managers have first Aid. Then took me to meet my wife.she did a great job with me. Costco Halifax N.S. Thank you for a great job.
I get some things in bulk so I love Costco for that. The store is always very clean and tidy as well.
A good place to get bulk quantities of any product. Good collection of clothing for daily use. Staffs are overall good, however some of them are not always that good!
I love the deals at Costco especially for our growing family but the chaos inside with too many shoppers and long lines at the cash are so frustrating. I wish they all had self check out options, I'm sure that would help. So far I've only seen this in one location but too far from us.
My sister and I shop here regularly 2 a month we do two big shops usually spend around $300 per shop. Overall Costco is a great place to shop most of the staff are friendly and helpful, store is clean you usually do not have to wait in line for too long. They have great options but as it is a warehouse you are limited to some. I wish they sold garlic here though they only sell the one in the jar which is alright but I prefer the fresh garlic it's just annoying to have to go to another store. Great return policy can basically return anything. Wish they used less plastic in some of there products though.
So much for exec membership. Took 1200 cash for tires. Then absolutely refuse to answer the phone. Still trying over an hour now. Is the guy installing also supposed to answer the phone? Not happy
The selection here isn't nearly as good as those I've been to elsewhere. And if they do carry an item often they're out of stock. And it was like that before Covid. The last 6 visits I've left with only half the things I was looking for because the other half wasn't available. I will say that they have the best soft serve ice cream in a waffle cone ever ????!
Have pro bless getting heavy items into Cart. Need employee at site to help customers put heavy items cart. Often do not buy items cannot lift into cart. Often help seniors do same. Or depend on other shoppers to help me.
Always busy but usually have all cashes open. Staff not overly helpful. A good place to get propane
Kyle in electronics is a pleasure to deal with, he even assisted me with the purchase of a TV and helped put it in my vehicle. Great customer service at this location. Give Kyle a raise!!
I think I could have picked a better checkout line than they did. The person in front of me had a mountain of stuff! ⛰
Why can we not get some of our favorite products at Chain Lake? Seems we Have to always make a trip to Dartmouth crossing to complete our shopping. Perhaps we should just go there. Products you do not have are Merlot wine, Liptons chicken noodle soup or coffee whitener. So sad for us as you are the much closer location. Wally.
What can be said for good prices. Self serve checkout. Its busy. Great soft ice cream cones.
Great costco, friendly staff, but you can't buy gas here which is always a bummer
As usual ,lot of variety at good prices, lots of covid things like digital thermometers, hand sanitizer ,etc, etc.Looked like fall clothes starting to come.
Too many people today. Clerks very hospitable and helpful. Picked up what I wanted and got out quickly. Prices very reasonable and done up in economy sizes. Covid safety practices.
I enjoy the prices and the buying I bulk. Looking forward to my next shopping adventure
You always find what you need here and always things you don't haha. Costco tells you what you need. Ice cream is delicious, creamy and cheap.
I recommend to give your staff course in customer service
I took micro chips to be transferred to USB thumb drives. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Thank you Costco staff.
I really appreciate the staff working for tire services at Costco Chain Lake Drive. Today my car hit into the rocks and 2 tires was flatten. I cannot move far but luckily I was in Chain Lake area. I and my husband would have not made home today if Costco tire service personnel did not help. I reached out to them when their services was almost closed (though I see that they only work for appointment, I was do desperate at that moment so I just suddenly came to them to try my luck). They didnt hesitate and accepted my car, then fixed it. They worked overtime for 30mins more in order to replace new tires into my car. I feel Costco doesnt only do well with their retailing business but also have super dedicated and warm hearted staff with them! Love Costco forever!
New salad dill pickle.. way to go Costco you have outdone yourself!
Have not been there in years but enjoyed revisiting. Store has improved. Large bright. Liked it
I don't find the prices low enough to warrant the insane lines and parking lot every time I want groceries. For the most part you can get food actually cheaper at superstore and you don't need to buy enough for 10 people. It is always busy here, even on a weekday, which makes it a long trip even for one or two things.
Its always fun to visit Costco. Inspite of a big line up, billing is extremely fast.
Line ups where really good but some of stuff we where looking for was out of stock
The employees are always nice and energetic.
Returned an item very smooth process!
Has a lot of things ..Although the lines are usually long and they either change the place of some stuff or they are gone...plus don't like the idea of membership to walk in a store
Who does not like Costco, right? The stores are great but remember, not everything is a deal. I normally buy big packs of fresh meats (chicken, beef, pork) and separate them into small packs for convenience. Vegetables are normally better priced and many frozen items also. The store has everything you need and more, never go on an empty stomach during a busier time. Sampling and buying foods you do not need will run your bill up quite a bit. Great store, I shop here as my primary source of bigger items.
This is a great Costco. Parking is ample, selection is consistent, and there are always a number of marked down items to top up an already full cart. Propane available.
Applied for a membership today. Staff seemed helpful but a little pushy to upgrade. Checkout staff was knowledgeable but not customer service oriented. Good selection of goods and a very busy spot.
Would have been 5 stars, but my biggest concerns are first, there are almost no employees on the floor that I dont feel like Im burdening by asking for directions. Second, the canteen staff are the least pleasant staff in the store. They probably have to deal with a LOT of horrible people daily, but still "what do you want" really doesnt replace "what can we get for you".
Good deals and selection. Although, this is seemingly a black hole of politeness and decorum, where even 70 year old grandmother's will run their cart into you.
Great place to go to stock up on things. Big line ups but they move fast ????????
Everything you could want and need for the household under ine roof. Some of the best hidden secret deal in town can be found here. Membership perks and helpul friendly service always. Well worth the wait lines it always moves quickly. They also have a great ice cream cone.
Great experience. Staff are friendly and things are easy to get to and lines move quickly.
On Tuesday it is nearly empty which makes shopping more pleasant. Good products. Good prices
Amazing staff- did I mention AMAZING STAFF? They are always willing to help and patient as Saints- I have no idea how they put up with some consumers- there is a special place in heaven for those who pick up after ALL the people who leave stuff ALL over the storeCOME ON fellow members - if you don't want something or change your mind take it to the front there is no shame in it and they will gladly put it back!!!! Roast chickens shoved under piles of clothes- now that is shameful!
Always a pleasure shopping at Costco. Although it is very easy to exceed ones spending limit. Was a bit disappointed though. Went to purchase a 7.5' pre lit christmas tree and found they was none available even though inventory showed 4 available. Staff were very helpful. Can't really complain. And their stuff is always well priced, their return policy is second to none and most importantly the items are off good quality. You can't get the same quality elsewhere for the same price.
Many different items that you won't find elsewhere. Great quality and no haggle return policy.
I was making some returns today and the associate used passive aggressive behaviour to make me feel bad about what I was returning. Body language that included eye rolling and shaking of her head. One thing she said is, "most places wouldn't let you return this", refering to an opened food item. I replied that I understood that. I have actually never had to answer so many questions during a return at Costco before. It has always been an easy and guilt free experience, save for today. One of the big reasons why I shop at Costco is their easy return policy. I may need to be a bit more cautious about my purchases from now on. I do 90% of our household's groceries here. I don't appreciate how I was made to feel today and the aweful feeling has lingered. Thanks for that! As if I don't have enough stress in my life to deal with already, my shopping experience has added more.
It's good , made a self check out lane. I paid my merchandise faster.
You don't have to be a Costco membership in order to use their pharmacy services, which are quick, efficient, And CHEAP!CHEAP!CHEAP!! The perscription filling fees are extremely low compared to say, Shopper's Drug Mart, and you can drop off your perscription and they will phone you when it's ready. Also, even if you don't have a membership, you can purchase any health related items for sale in the Pharmacy area. While you're waiting you can fill up on one of the many fast food items at their take-out counter. Can't speak highly enough about this service.
It's a Costco, they do a good job. Will they every stop the exit check? Are all customers potential thrives?
Not busy, at all????. Good stock, had everything on my list. No line at the checkout. In and out in 20 min.
Never have what I go there for. I really dislike that two, not one, staff touch your cart and everything in it, then hand it back to you yet NONE OF THEM SANITIZE THEIR HANDS before or after handling all of your goods nor between customers!!! Covid anyone????
Very busy in the afternoon today, but well stocked.
Great prices and selection. As long as you don't mind the membership fees and bottlenexking at the registers its a good shop.
Sell checkout a plus in my books
I like the fact there is a person showing you which line for the cashiers instead of the free fir all it was a few years back. Much more orderly
Really delighted with my new glasses, the food court is amazing as well.
Optical store is not recommended. I had an eye examination here in January this year, but they didn't tell me that I needed to keep the prescription, so I lost it in the process of moving house. Today, I arrived at the store at 10 am and told the clerk that I needed a copy of the prescription, he looked very unfriendly and didn't say hello, and he only told me that I needed to wait until 12 pm, so I waited for two hours. When I asked him again at 12 pm he asked me to write down my name, and then no one gave me any feedback for the next 40 minutes. When I finally asked them why I had to wait so long, a saleswoman said it was your fault because you didn't keep your prescription. In fact, it took your staff a long time to find my prescription today because you guys didn't put it back after took it out last week. After a long wait, I broke down and cried, but they still blamed me for not keeping the prescription. But my point is, if you had told me at the beginning that the prescription was the only one that needed to be kept, I wouldn't have lost it. In the three hours of waiting, no feedback and no sorry. This is called “customer service”. I have reason to believe that Costco offers not only low prices but also cheap services.
I was a bit disappointed that all your staff didn't have masks on,there was a man over in the middle section working on a bike telling a lady how he was to wear a mask but he chose not to and he proceeded to tell her he knew how far 6 feet was
If I had to spend the rest of my life in one spot this would be it. Can't say enough about costco. Love this place it's amazing.
The store is consistently clean and the produce is always fresh. despite the large number of cars in the parking lots the check out lineup seldom take more than a few minutes
They badly need Self checkouts like the Dartmouth Crossing Location. a few staff members are rude. But, only a few. like anywheres. overall its a ok store.
Got to the propane before the lineup. With today's easily available technology, why isn't there a point of sale payment in place at the propane fill?
Love shopping ???? for bulk items here and it's very affordable ????.
I mean it is Costco. Youre buying in hulk. Gets 5 stars for friendly staff and service. Ps the optical is a great price too
Today was just a pick up a couple prescriptions the staff is excellent
The store is to big. To few employees to help you. Some of them didn't know,if they sell items,i was asking for. A supervisor agreed strongly to my complaints. Some prices were much to high.I get many items cheaper at a big store close by.I shall never again go to COSCO for shopping, eaven if they would charge me any entrance fee.
I just love the quality and you can still get a deal. Not everything is cheaper but the quality and after sales service is second to none.
Manager and upper manger were of no help. Paid for a menbership. But because my address on my id didnt match i couldnt get my membership set up. I had drove an hour and a half to get there now have to drive back home with nothing wasted trip. Awful service. Rediculas policies will never suggest anyone to shop at costco.
Somethings are a good deal and others aren't. I wish they had a couple of Express lanes for under 10 or 12 items.
Prefer Dartmouth location over Bayers Lake. Again, no toilet paper and paper towels. Gone to the city two weekends in a row and no toilet paper and paper towels. I don't get it?
Best customer support
Not super busy. Fall bulbs are out.
They really need an express checkout. The cashiers are great at doing your order quickly and efficiently with a great attitude, but having to wait behind several large orders when you have a few items can be a bit disappointing.
Like the store but trying to do a simple return is horrible. Wait in line for half hour that stretches out the door, no place to stand, poorly organized system.
You're here to get way too much of one or more things. Costco does this well, and this particular Costco will do. Treat yourself to a hot dog. You deserve it.
Very good for shopping
Very busy but lots of choices!
Costco always has everything we need and even some things we dont lol. Was there the other day they had tons of toilet paper hand soap and hand sanitizer along with so many other things. Propane is the absolute cheapest here and the bakery is always putting out fresh treats. Parking lot is huge tons of accessible parking and lately no lineups.
It is a costco...mostly reliable bulk products. Great if you are having a party or juat have a large family. I was not very impressed with the fresh vegetables...have a good look before you buy! But lots of great frozen goods and the meat is very good quality.
Exactly what you would expect from a Costco. Friendly staff and huge selection. Only issue is one day we weren't able to return an item due to a momentary system failure and we were told to "come back closer to closing time or another day" which was an awful inconvenience due to the location
I love Costco, and who doesn't love going when they have samples out. It's very infrequent that you will leave having spent less than $100. I call Costco the $100 or more store.
A good place for buying things in larger quantities at wholesale prices. However one may not get what is wanted besides options are limited.
The staff and store were good. The people shopping are terrible when it comes to distancing and allowing for the flow of others to shop.
They have everything I want.
What a zoo. Everything I need though. Stop pushing the executive membership. There is clearly an incentive to push this. I don't want it and I'll be tattooing it on my forehead soon.
Costco is a great place to shop, go with a list of what you want and stick to it. One word of caution be wary of buying items which are supplied and installed by companies contracted to Costco,. I bought a heat pump from Costco which was poorly installed resulting in property damage, I was left to try and sort it out with the contractor. The message is simple if you cannot take it back to the store and deal with Costco don't buy it.
Purchased a TV through Costco on November 15th, with their home delivery service you get to chose a delivery date and time which I thought was a really great feature, I chose November 23rd as it was the soonest available delivery date. I was then given a time frame of 8AM-8PM, which is rather large however since I have the luxury of sometimes being able to work from home, I figured it wouldn't be too big of a deal. At around 7PM I figured I'd call to figure out what going on, spoke with the home delivery service who informed me that they couldn't deliver because they didn't have the TV in the warehouse yet. Wondering why they'd let me schedule a delivery appointment when they don't physically have the TV is beyond me, and they could then deliver on December 7th. I said that's quite far away, but after transferring me to Costco customer service they informed me that they'd be able to reschedule for November 25th instead, and that I'd be getting a phone call from the home delivery service on November 24th to confirm. November 24th, 7PM - I call in as I have yet to hear from the home delivery service, and they inform me that there was never a rescheduling for a delivery for that date. I ask if I can simply go pick up the TV as my renovation is currently awaiting the TV delivery and they informed me that it's located at their Costco location in Bayers Lake. I said great, and drove to the Costco in Bayers Lake. Once there, I'm told that they do not work with the online orders and have no idea what I'm talking about - or why I was sent there, and that I would have to call customer service to figure out where the TV was. I contact the customer service department that informs me that the internal notes on my file do state that the delivery is scheduled for November 25th, however they will reach out again to confirm. By then, the home delivery service is closed, and they informed me that the file does say a November 25th delivery., and the item is currently in the warehouse and will be delivered that day. I ask that if for any reason they can't deliver the item, if there is somewhere that I will be able to go to pick up the item, they said it's impossible to pick up online orders anywhere and that I'm left to the mercy of the Costco Home delivery service to hopefully, one day, receive the item I purchased. November 25th TV day - I awake excited, run downstairs and clear my entryway for the movers, dust off the TV stand and make sure I have all of the pieces to the mount, ready to assemble. 10:14am my phone rings and it's home delivery, letting me know that they won't be able to deliver today but they should be able to tomorrow. Frustrated, I asked what time they'd be able to arrive, and they were unable to provide me with a time of delivery. The representatives were nice in store and tried their best to help me, however the customer service department on the phone was absolutely horrendous and completely inept. I understand that things happen, and while irritated I still waited for them to deliver on the second delivery date. TL;DR - Delivery was cancelled/no showed TWICE, I decided I did not want to take the chances on a third delivery date and cancelled my order, purchased the TV through Bestbuy instead. Do not tell your customer's you will deliver on a specific date if you cannot follow through.
I really love and hate the place! Hate because we are tempted to spend unnecessarily buying everything and in bulk. I love their return policy...Returned some shirts after 6 months without any questions and with no bill. Quality is great; if not, you can return. Some great products at very decent prices.Worth taking their membership.
I went in to pick up prescriptions. They are always helpful & friendly
My wife shops there and she says that she doesn't go anywhere but there. It has everything she needs.. It's so easy.
Great store to buy things in bulk. You can get from tires to glasses to produce and everything in between. Although the stock changes often depending on the season and availabilities, but it’s a fun place to shop and look out for new things. A hot dog and a drink for $1.50 adds to the appeal.
Don't as big as I expected but very easy to find what your looking for
You have to have a membership to be able to purchase a gift card for someone that goes to Costco all the time
Have to know your prices
Large store, with a matching variety of bulk items, clothes and electronics. Then there's the bakery, and butchers area. I've not used it, but I think they have a pharmacy too.
Cosco was very busy, but going through cash was fast, Mike our cash person was not only friendly and fast he was very entertaining. Cheers to you Mike, hope your having a wonderful day ????
The clerk's at our checkout were making cracks about our weight in front of us. Nice. Not impressed. Wish there was a manager handy at the time
Great place to shop. unique groceries!! But for some reason the customers have an attitude not sure why!! Parking is difficult on a Saturday afternoon..
It's just like most other Costcos. The staff are friendly and the concession is really cheap. If you like other Costcos, you'll like this one.
Its very affordable but people overpurchase stuff that they wont need or more than what they need. Shop wisely. Cheap is relative and doesn't mean go in dept for buying cheap because going in dept is no joke abd can cost you your life.
I do not like the long check out lines, also that you have to pay them to shop in there store.Your going there to spend money any,so why do I have to pay to shop, they also do not supply bags u have to buy them Costco is all about the money, the check out at the door is redickulics also..
Great place to shop. All items are in bulk. Some items look cheaper then grocery stores, but sometimes the items are not. The line ups at the cashers, are very fast.
Excellent place to shopping. All in one place.price also average...overall perfect shopping experience...
One stop shop, went on a weekday from 5:15pm until 6:00pm, wasn't busy at all. This maybe the time to go to avoid the crowds.
Costco is always a great place to shop, however a recently purchased a Lennox heat pump through Costco and installed by Shines Energy, Beware Lennox and Shine Energy are very difficult with obtaining warranty work. The picture attached shows a hole drilled in the side of an indoor ductless unit,to repair the thermostat and Shines Energy said they would replace the unit, but now are reluctant to do it. Only 3 months Old. Shines Energy and Lennox only get a 2 star rating.**
Very big store so there's lots of selection pricing is pretty good not enough staff to help on the floor we don't receive notice of sales
Great place to shop for bulk items. Quality is usually high and they stock many things you cannot find elsewhere.
I love Costco very friendly staff but it is hard place to job lol
No issues, great service, very friendly staff. We'll maintained stock, very good assortment.
Has everything! Staff is super friendly, and helpful, quick at the checkouts,
Waiting at customer service for 20 min. 4 people there but only one on returns. People backed out the door. Second in line. The price was wrong on the item. Your fault.
Customer service was delicious
Customer service was awesome and explained it all and now i am an executive member. Thankyou Costco Bayers Lake
It's what you'd expect from any other Costco but this one is excessively slow at returns, customer service, and check outs. We live 5 mins away and choose to drive to the other location 20-25 mins away because this one is so frustratingly slow. Plus many of the staff members are grumpy.
Lines were super fast. Faster than ever. Absolutely a great shopping trip!
Great place with great prices. Be careful and don't buy more or even things that you don't need. However, for what you need prices virtually can not be beaten.
First off this review is for tire center and management . I have bought 3 sets off tires from costco and had them installed , each time there was something that was not up to standard but the last set i bought there and had installed on my 2015 Murano was the worst . I had made an appointment to have them installed and there was delay which i did have a problem with given it was a busy time of year , when i finally was told my SUV was ready they gave me the keys , given the experiences prior i took a walk around the vehicle only to find that one tire was installed and the bead was not against rim . I brought to the attention of service personal and i was so happy when he told me it was a good catch . They took vehicle back in and inflated tire properly and re-balanced it . i was watching while this work was done and noticed the guy changing tire used air gun on my wheel locks which is what happened on the first set of tires i referred to earlier . I had to take that vehicle into dealer to get the master key to undo wheel locks because my key was stripped . So consider the quality of workmanship and the safety of having tires not installed properly prior to taking you car there for install.
Busy store. Lots of customers. Great selection and prices.
On a Sunday afternoon black Friday week and it was in and out quick.
When you want to fill your cart. The deal on lunch, yes for a great price. Only trouble for me, they should have a number of different ways to buy your items, not just a few ideas of their own. That being said great buys, friendly staff.
My favorite store to shop in, great finds and prices are good. Also great customer service!
Today at Costco, cashier and aid were wearing plastic face shields which do not protect anyone according to experts. Why does costco allow this? It puts everyone at risk.
They changed their Birthday cakes. Now i feel ripped off as they are smaller and not nearly as good. Lost my buisness on that. No Timothy Coffee? They say its coming back over a year ago. Feel like the r not being 100% honest
Not great, I wanted to pay for a piece of clothing first. I was told you can't do 2 separate orders. If that's what I wanted I had to go into another line up, not the one I was in. So than, wanted to pay some cash and the rest on debt. The cashier just looked at me like I had 2 heads. It wasn't until the lady that was putting my things into my cart than said we can do debt first than do cash. I gotta said, not great customer service from the cashier. When did it become such a big deal to do 2 separate orders. Not a good experience today
The store has a good variety of products and from my point of view they are cheaper than anywhere else. However the checking of your bill at the exit door is insulting and makes us waste a lot of time always.
Best time to go is in the morning. Of course I bought more than I had anticipated but absolutely well worth it! All employees were happy, smiling and courteous.
I did get what a went in for, but very dirty and dreary place. Dartmouth location much cleaner and better lit. Staff much friendlier to speak with as well.
Great deals. Good prices, love bulk shopping. I do my meals in advance and Costco is the best place to buy these items.
Very busy (as per usual) but they are very efficient and line ups move quite quickly considering. Helpful staff.
Friendly staff, good quality merchandise, well priced, love the electronics department and a slice of pizza to finish the visit is a must
Love Costco. Has just about everything you could need in unnecessarily large quantities. One thing I find annoying is the flocks of people frantically charging around with no consideration for anyone around them. Can't blame the store for this issue so 5 stars.
Another example of how Costco employees wear their masks. Good job!!
Value for Money, Key Points: not everything is cheapest from the market, but over all it's very convenient and economic...
Never have enough staff or cashiers open, always always slow, and ask a staff member if they have an item they have no idea or won't help. Costco is not built on client service. It's truly simple, if it's busy open more cashiers. Not sure why this is is so hard for them.
Quite terrible staff and product placement. The convenience of shopping at a whole sale is negated when the staff create hurdles to over come and the products are damaged
Trust me, never buy anything from Costco `s tire center. Had 2 problems with them recently and Costco is not able to address those issues ( Mainly because their customer service department are seperate form tire center ) Their technician knows nothing about cars and their products have Hugh quality problems
My experience was poor, but it was a Superbowl saturday and the store was NUTS!! I look forward to going back on a weekday and having a long look around. I just rejoined after a 15 year break.
Normal Costco location. Although today all the women seem to be just coated in perfume. Definitely not a sensitive free zone.
Very busy, lots of parking. Clean, well kept store. Nice cashiers very helpful.
Enjoy shopping here when im in the city other then a few times when we was told we never bought enough kirkland products and if we planned on continuing shopping there we need to start to
Cashiers don’t know how to behave with customers. Yesterday, I visited Halifax bayer’s lake store, Cashier who was working at cash number 3 during 6pm, was very rude with me and she even said i will cancel your gold membership , when i checked my receipt later on she also charged me 3 times for a product which i had only 1 item . She disrespected me, I want to contact one of Costco’s manager.
Just came out of Costco.recommend that you not go. it is quite dangerous. They are letting so many people in that it is impossible to social distance. Also I expect it would be very unsafe for employees. I suggest Costco look into this immediately. Safety for their clients and for their employees should be of more importance
This Costco has a very strange layout, unlike the standard layouts I've seen in other Costcos, and feels very tight. They also don't carry some of the products that other stores do.
Was a good time to go to costco lines were not that long fast service
Great prices, educated staff, senior and health care workers shopping hours, much variaty
Love going to costco. Worth the membership no doubt about it.
Very nice place to go grocery shopping, will return frequently.
They don't limit amount of people let into the store. You cant social distance properly with how busy this location always seems to be.
