Top to bottom, my experience with Du Monde Optical was exceptional. The variety was top of the line- every designer to choose from. Very appreciative of the patience Zuhair demonstrated to me when I was selecting my pair of glasses but was also very helpful trying to suggest the right pair for me. The customer service was excellent and I felt my business was important to him. When my glasses didn't fit because my thicker lenses made it difficult to bend the arms, Zuhair got it fixed in two days and it fit perfectly. Also, Zuhair worked with me on price and was able to bill directly to my insurance provider. Health and safety protocols seemed very well put in place and I felt comfortable shopping in their store. Would recommend Du Monde Optical to anyone in need of glasses.

Du Monde Optical has been our go to place since well over 9 years. Me and my family members have been very satisfied with the products including glasses, sunglasses as well as their contact lenses. The quality and different varieties of their glasses is immensely impressive. The customer service representative are one of the nicest people. I've come across Zuhair and Dr. Nasreen and they always make you feel comfortable with the services. My family members have gotten their eyes tested by their doctor and it's always been a pleasant experience. I've once met the owner of the store, I believe his name is Humayoun and he comes across as one of the nicest people. No wonder their customers keep going back to them. The customer service plus the quality of the store has made me and my family members a loyal customer. Rarely do I give 5 stars but they completely deserve it. Highly Recommended!

I purchased 2 pairs of glasses , They have a large variety of branded frames/sunglasses and quality anti reflective prescription lenses with discounted price. They accept insurance as well. Mainly store attendant/owner provided excellent service, They are very Kind and helpful. They showed a variety of frames and quality glasses. I have purchased anti reflective prescription glasses. Exceptional service with great communication and very good quality lens and frame. What more can I ask for at affordable price? I was able to book my appointment in advance by calling them. My frame was to be delivered by Thursday/Friday. They called me in advance and let me know when it would be ready for me to pick it up. The lens is of very good quality. When choosing, they showed me several frame and also walked me though my different options available in my budget. Great store, already recommended to family, and will recommend to friends + will visit again.

The sales staffs and the owner here are very superb as they are very customer-oriented and they know each and every brand/product and they recommend what is good for the customer (by not looking into the price tag). The quality of their frames even the designer ones are also excellent. Also if you're looking for luxury brands (dior, tom ford, persol, ray-ban, prada, burberry, gucci), the prices here are VERY reasonable compared to the competition (LensCrafters, Squint, etc). Also, the prices for lens are also VERY affordable.

This is the only eyewear boutique my family and I have been going to for the last 10 years, in both their Sheppard and former Yorkville location, with 8 or 9 eyeglasses I believe + contact lenses purchased over the last decade. The selection is the largest you’ll find with brand name and designer glasses and sunglasses, and their customer service is the best that I’ve experienced and has been consistently good over the last 10 years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Some people take time to decide because its more how it makes you feel vs how it looks. I’m a little picky for something that’s so personal as I haven’t always been comfortable wearing glasses, so at times, I went to visit their store location multiple times trying different glasses until I find one that looks and feels right. They’ve been more than accommodating each and every single time. I mention this because I absolutely hate it when I visit a store and I’m being watched like a hawk and pressured to make a decision for something I want to feel comfortable purchasing and is personal to me. I never got that here - and sometimes I visit over a few weeks to make a decision! If that sounds like you, don’t even worry! It took me several weeks to pick glasses 4 years ago. I still have them until now, and 4 years is the longest time I ever owned and kept wearing the same pair of glasses. I was able to take my time to pick, and I had the pair for a long time as a result. I still love it, but I wanted something different, so I bought one today! Gucci! You’ll be treated like a customer even if you don’t make a purchase that same day. You will note how many comments write “patient” and that’s what I appreciate the most. Also note they have different lens types, such as transition (which basically turn your glasses into sunglasses when you’re in the sun and back to normal when indoors) and they come in a few different colors. Go with gray! They also have lenses that filter blue light from a screen, which I was shown last week (good if you’re buying reading glasses). I also appreciated how they also helped loosen and tighten my frames and nose pads as they loosen over time. They have eye exams you can book in their store, so you can get your results and purchase your glasses on the spot, which is what I always do. The optometrist is very professional and kind. Because we’re still in a pandemic, it’s worth noting this store follows covid protocols, ensuring physical distancing and limited numbers of shoppers in store, and they thoroughly disinfect all pair of glasses other customers try on in front of you, before it goes back on the shelf. You won’t be disappointed. The selection is plentiful; family run and owned business I believe; they have designer frames that I haven’t seen in other parts of the city; accessible by subway and close to the 401; excellent customer service and they’re patient and accommodating. They also have some cheaper, budget-friendly alternatives if you're looking for something super simple, a simple frame for reading glasses, for example and you dont want designer. I don’t ever write reviews but after 4 years with the current Gucci glasses I bought from them, I decided to buy a new one and they’ve been so helpful in helping me find the perfect one which I really wanted just to get a fresh new look as we look to be exiting the pandemic soon – so I’m happy to write this!
