My parents lived in the Deep Cove area and dealt with Wayne for more than 15 years. My parents would always speak highly of his customer service skills. After my mom passed a few years ago, my father moved in with us to Coquitlam. When he first mentioned he wanted to get new glasses, he refused to deal with anyone else but Wayne. To appease my father, I drove him there and I witnessed a person who truly cares about the service he provides. The way he treated not only my elderly father but another senior that came in, was something you don't see too much of anymore. My whole family now only deals with Wayne.

I needed the plastic nose guards replaced on my eyeglasses and had them done at Parkgate Optical. The proprietor charged $20.00 for the pair which took him no more than two minutes. After checking with three other optical stores in North Vancouver for the same request, I was quoted $6.95 at one location and the two other shops said replacement would be free. It sounds like Parkgate Optical should NOT be anyone's first stop when looking for anything in the way of eyeglasses or repair. It pays to shop around first.
