Nothing bad to say here, was one of my best choices of 2019 so far. Great prices and huge selection to choose from. Dr. Shreya did a great job hands down. Do keep I'm mind my last visit to a eye doctor was around 10 years ago. And Kristy was awesome. Any question I had she had the answers with no hesitation. And was really easy talk to as well. All and all great visit all round, will deffenitly be referring friends and family to go there in the future and anyone reading this I recommend you head to Hakim for you next eye exam or even to replace them old glasses.

Simply put, this need be your only stop for all things ocular. From the clean, comfortable, and energetic store front, to the always competitive prices and seasonal specials. Hakim has simply cornered the market in North Bay by going above and beyond time and again. In a world where decent customer service has become somewhat of a rarity, the outstanding staff will handle all needs and, answer all questions. I have had the good fortune to have Kristy assisting me on a number of occasions now. She is a delight to work with. Her Cheerful, professional attitude along with a dazzling smile are a perfect compliment to her seemingly endless knowledge in the field and an uncanny ability to help choose those perfect frames you'll love for years to come. When I mentioned it, they honored the original price I had been first quoted. So that was awesome. Last time I went in, Kristy, was very helpful in helping me select my frames and lenses. Some of the staff are awkward and don’t seem like they want to help you, the male that works there seems clueless every time you ask a question. Ordered two pairs of glasses, and one of the pairs were blurry and distorted, which they blamed the frames they were in. But no one advised me that those frames would make my prescription blurry. And they were not able to alter the frames to fit my face. They were nice enough to exchange that pair for another, but the other frame I got has cracked within a week. Not impressed with the service or quality of products.

I ordered two pair of glasses on 1 Feb 2017, was told that ten working days would be the delivery date, so, 15 Feb, right? Well, on that day, I was told one pair of glasses had "out to store, 10 Feb" status, and they had them, and the other pair was "out to store, 13 Feb" but they did not have them. Today is 17 Feb, 2017 and I do not have any glasses as of yet. I find that when a business has been paid in full for their work and product, they lose sight of the requirement to maintain a semblance of customer service. Edit: It turns out that they had checked the prescription, and one lense was not properly made, so they sent them back. The only mistake the local merchant made was not informing me. I picked up one pair today and will have to wait at least another week for the second pair, but this is an acceptable compromise.

First time buying glasses and Hakim's was the only place you didn't need to make an appointment to shop. Staff was courteous and helpful. Great selection of frames, including safety glasses. Price seemed reasonable, unfortunately I have nothing to compare to. Definitely give them a visit if/when you need glasses.
