Wow...great selection of designer frames and AMAZING service. The manager was so helpful taking the time to find me the perfect pair of shades, which also happened to be on sale! I will definitely be going back and will be spreading the word of this place :) A week after writing this review, the arm of the sunglasses I bought had broke :( I had brought them in and without hesitation the staff had looked at them and replaced them with a brand new pair. Again, AMAZING service! I was not expecting a new pair rather was hoping they could do a repair.

Amazingly helpful staff!! I went in here on a Saturday evening near closing time after a full day of working my way through a ton of local opticals and trying on an insane amount of glasses all day and in the past week. This is my first pair of glasses ever in my life after going 40 years with 20/20 vision, so I had no experience with what suits my face or what works for me. I had already thrown a bunch of money out the window in another shop prior to this for an ill-suited pair that I bought [regretfully] in haste. The two ladies at Specs & Specs were AMAZING - so attentive and patient (but not in your face, like many of the reps at other opticals I visited). They let me stay over an hour trying on a multitude of frames and giving me their opinions and not at all trying to up-sell me on anything. I literally felt like I was hanging out with two old pals who told it like it is if something didn't suit my face. I very rarely, if ever, write reviews, but I couldn't help but say something about how great my experience was here. With their invested assistance, I ended up choosing a frame that I love! They also have a fabulous selection of beautiful, stylish frames at very reasonable prices. High five to the Specs & Specs staff for their awesomeness!

Do not go here for an eye exam. It was a complete waste of time and money. I went in with a problem, they made me wait half an hour after the scheduled appointment time and then optometrist basically shrugged at me. Dr. Price didn't have any theory of what's going on with my eye, didn't even know who to refer me to, and I had to keep prodding him for help. I only have coverage for 1 exam every 2 years and I wasted it here. It felt like no one knew what the hell they were doing. No wonder they were so eager to make me pay ahead of time. Will never go back.

These guys are so incredibly friendly. They will never pressure you into buying something you don't like. They are very accommodating. And they will adjust the fit of your glasses as many times as you need. I've looked at a lot of frames in a lot of optical stores, but for the 12 years I've been wearing glasses, I've only ever bought from Specs & Specs.

This is my favourite optical shop in town! The owner is wonderful and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are fair. Tip: don’t waste your money at mall optical shops while you can get similar brands for cheaper price.

I have a terrible grasp of what does and doesn't suit me - thankfully the staff were very patient and generous with their time in assisting me in choosing new frames. Also if there is a problem and the lenses don't turn out perfect. They will try and try again. They won't stop until they are prefect and you are perfectly satisfied. Not impressed. All about the $$$. Had to get lens replaced as frame was too small for face...Should have been identified upon purchase. Tried to persuade me that he was doing me a great service by replacing them with no cost..(meanwhile, I have since found from the lens manufacturer that all lens have a replacement guarantee). No favours there!!!. Once replacement lens completed, he advised that there is an additional fee which I had to pay. Turns out it was to pay for his gas to pick up the lens from manufacturer. RIP OFF..And frames still do not fit properly...Will never purchase from there again!!! Very disappointed.

I bought a pair of Fysh frames from these folks less than a year ago and must have got a pair with a manufacturer defect as the metal nose piece broke off about 6 months after I bought them. Instead of taking them back to Specs and Specs for repair I actually took them to a glasses repair place, the guy welded the piece back on but it broke off again a few weeks later. I then contacted Specs ( which I should have just done to begin with ) and, after an initial miscommunication, they totally came through with a new pair of the same frames for me! I don't know know how they managed to get them, as they were discontinued, but they replaced them free of charge and Lindsay spent at least 20 minutes with me making sure the glasses fit, she adjusted the nose pieces and even added some silicone nose pads as well as bending the arms to curve around the backs of my ears. I was really pleased with the level of attention and service from both her and John and would be happy to return to them for my next pair!

It's been 4 months and I am still waiting for my referal. I've been by 3 times since my appointment to ask what was going on. Each time I was told it would be taken care of and the would call me. It still has yet to happen. The only reason I am not giving it 1 star, is because the optometrist is nice and I believe his intentions were good. I hope writing this review gets you to do what you've been promising for so long now... It's unfortunate because I don't have insurance, so the appointment and my time (as it stands) was a complete waste.

Great experience here. After going to 7 places, finally found what I'd hoped for here. Beautiful, unique, high quality frames. Also got a good deal on the glasses plus updated lenses for my sunglasses. Much better price on those than I'd been quoted elsewhere. Friendly, helpful service from all three employees I dealt with. Glasses were ready within a week. Also appreciate their hours of operation. Open Sundays.

I've been going to Specs & Specs for over 25 years. John (the owner) has sold me every pair I've owned in that time and I can't emphasize enough how good he is at what he does. He always picks out frames that best suit my face (I've a big head) and gives me his opinion based on the latest trends and styles. He doesn't push the most expensive brands on you and in most cases usually turns me on to a new european brand/designer that has high quality construction and good value. John's dedication to top-notch customer service is probably why he's been a Queen Street fixture for all this time. And beyond wanting you to support local, I can tell you that I've sent everybody and anybody to John (that would listen to me). And in every case, they come back telling me how great he was. In all this time, I've never had issue with his glasses/lens. His prices are very reasonable and he stands behind his store and his work. These are not some cheapie, throwaway frames you get online. I've owned all of my frames for many years and some sunglasses I've worn every longer. I can't recommend John enough and can't believe it took me this long to write him a review. To add, I just picked up my last set of prescription frames today and I love them. He even noticed that my prescription was too strong and made the right adjustment for me before making this pair. I love them and will continue to go Specs & Specs. You should check them out and ask for John. Thanks John!

Hello, I purchased a set of glasses from these guys about two weeks ago and had a really good experience with them. I had been shopping for awhile and couldn't find anything I liked for a good price, but with Sophie and the rest of the team I found the perfect pair of glass for me and for a great price. I have been going to Specs and seeing John pretty much since they opened. I have purchased about 15 pairs of glasses, and nobody, and I do mean nobody could come close to their prices ,even on designer( Chanel, Dior) brands.They also stand behind what they sell. I don't bother recommending anyone else, because when I did shop around I found the prices to be extremely marked up. You are in excellent hands at Specs & Specs.

John offers excellent service and product knowledge, reasonable prices, and a good eye for style (as well as a good selection of stylish frames). He chose a frame for me that my wife loved. My prescription is quite heavy, so my lenses tend to look pretty thick. But through his impressive technical know-how, John was able to arrange for the lenses to be made in such a way as to minimize the visibility of the edge protruding from the frame. I would definitely deal with Specs & Specs again.

Absolutely not satisfy ! I bought reading glasses and sunglasses, both are not correctly done. My vision with my sunglasses is blurry permanently. I return to change and they said it was in my head. Avoid this place !

When I was discussing lens with the lady, a white guy came in and looked for glasses. She talked with him for minutes and left me alone. Later, she called boss to get quote for me but went to serve the guy immediately. I just left the store. If I told her I might buy up to 3 pairs of glasses, she might treat me as a client.

Awesome service!!! I'm visiting from Ottawa,I came in asked if she can fix my sunglasses. There's a small piece that broke on my glasses and just wondered if she can fix it. She was so friendly I asked where the best spots would be for lunch, we chat while she fixed it and didn't charge me for it. I'll definitely recommend this glasses shop to all my friends in the T.
