Worst mistake going to a place like this. Saw Dr. Suzan Sarkies, who gave me a completely wrong prescription for my eyes. Got glasses with the prescription and my vision was worse than it was before. Almost got into a car accident. I've since googled her and found out that she's under review by the College of Optometrists for professional misconduct. Horrible Service, Horrible Location. Manager at the Hakim Is awful. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this place.

Very very responsible. When they heard my eyes go worse, they would like to arrange a spot for me for doing a recheck. I can feel they really really care about patient's eyes health. I would definitely recommend this store to my friends!

I bought glasses at this particular Hakim Optical store a year ago. I remember the lady who worked there for being the most helpful, professional and genuinely nice person you could want to help you when choosing your glasses! The price was ok too and I was very happy with my choice of the store. Last week I had to show up again there to fix a small detail about the glasses. The same lady provided me with best service again and made sure that I would return there again, if needed. Seriously, in this city where services are often very impersonal and rushed, Hakim at 1033 Bay is absolutely outstanding!

Tara here at the store is super helpful and knowledgeable in understanding which type of glasses suits a person , also listens to the requirements to provide relevant options to pick from! She was an absolute delight to meet and true professional in ensuring everything is in order as expected! I would recommend this location to folks who are unsure of which type of glasses suit them!

fantastic service. the doctor was very purposeful with her examination, and was very efficient and wasted no time. was in and out of the examination within 10-15 minutes. very kind, as well. the other worker in the store, tara, is one of the nicest ppl i have ever met in my life. she is wonderful to talk to. additionally, although the store was understaffed at the time of visit, tara worked very well to get through customers quickly. she is also very knowledgable on the products, as she clearly explained the differences between different brands of products. 6 stars out of 5, for her service! 10/10 experience, will be returning soon.

I went in there & got 2 pairs of glasses for a great price. Paula, the sales lady, is very nice, helpful, & excellent at her job; she listens to ur needs & help steer u in the direction u want. She was very patient; it took me a long time (like weeks. kept coming back to see more frames) till I decided on something but she didn't mind. I saw Dr Behnaz for my eye exam. She is a great Dr. She was able to properly diagnose something that was really bothering me about my eyes. Def. my go to place for glasses/contacts from now on.

We recently visited Dr. Jinia Abawi for regular yearly eye checkups at Hakim opticals (Bay & Wellesley location). We had our eye checkups at different locations with different optometrists but we never experience such a careful eye exam. Dr.Jinia listened to all our concerns related to eyes and performed different tests such as eye muscles strength test, eyes dryness, Vision tests. She suggested various techniques to overcome eye-related problems. We love the service by Dr.Jinia and visit again next year. We also like the service and suggestions by Tara from Hakim opticals for her guidance in selecting eyeglasses.

Tara helped me to pick out some new glasses and the customer service I received was amazing! She was super friendly and patient even though I was very indecisive and she caught on to the style I was going for very quickly so she was able to make great suggestions out of their huge selection. Tara was also super helpful when walking me through the many different options for lenses and made some helpful recommendations based on some off-hand comments I made while shopping about my current glasses frustrations (very attentive!). Overall a great shopping experience!

Very disappointed. I have been a customer for many years and they lost my prescription. I ordered new contacts in February 2020 but then Covid hit. After they reopened: when I called for my contact lessons the staff was very rude told me the prescription was 'too old' and they had lost my paperwork. When I explained I was immunosuppressed she told me I would have to rebook with an eye doctor and pay to get a brand new prescription! Completely tone deaf customer service - I will be taking my business elsewhere.
