I had a terrible experience trying to buy a new pair of glasses that I have lost. They had an extremely hard time finding me as a patient . And then they refused to sell me a replacement pair of glasses without putting me through the motions of a whole new prescription check up and they would not give me a copy of my prescription I will never do business at that store or any of their locations ever !!!!!

They were wonderful, especially the Manager Rachel (sp). The frames I picked just didn't feel right and the prescription didn't seem right. The Dr made sure it was the correct prescription. Rachel helped me pick a new frame, she adjusted where the progressive bifocal sat and ordered me a new pair. The new ones are good and feel fine. I would highly recommend the Tonawanda NY branch of Visionworks.

I’ve been coming to visionworks for over 10 years. The store manager, Rochelle, is amazing. I LOVE the selection of frames, both designer and inexpensive but quality frames. They take Davis Vision insurance, which is also a plus for my family. The staff is honest and helpful when helping me choose my frames. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!!! I went to this store to do eye exam and try contact lenses. (1). After the eye exam, I paid eye exam fee and I want to see my report, what is my degree. But they refused to show me the report and did not tell me the degree of my eyes. They told me they will give me the report after I bought the contact lenses. I paid for the eye examination, why can’t I even know my degree? (2). In the process of trying on contact lenses (I only get the trial pack), I had problems with my eyes due to wearing contact lenses. I called and said I don't want to order contact lenses, but they still ordered and deducted the money directly from my insurance. These two points make me think this shop is a robber

Went for an eye exam today. My second time. The entire staff and the doctor are all very polite, courteous and easy to work with. I got my glasses made here. I did not get the eye exam here. The Good: They have a wide selection of frames and I did not feel that their staff was trying to upsell me items The BAD: (a) They took my co-pay money at the time I ordered it. A month later, when I reviewed the insurance claim, my co-pay was much less. I called them up for the overcharge and the customer service agent started to bluff me giving random explanations. Finally, he relented. CAUTION: they will overcharge you and pocket the money (b) They sent me marketing pamphlets for cashback and discounts. It was a bait-n-switch. Those were just the standard discounts that my vision insurance provided.

Everyone was so friendly and attentive. I was quickly greeted walking in and they checked me in right away. They let me know I can check out some frames while waiting but that was short lived since I was in with the doc a few mins later. The doc was also very friendly and had me checked out after the exam & answering all my questions & concerns about my contacts. I’ll be heading back soon to check out the frames that I had no time to look at, which wasn’t a bad thing. Great service!

What a great selection of high quality reasonably priced frames. They go out of their way to make sure that your lens prescription is perfect the first time. Rachelle, the general manager is there almost all the time and knows most of the customers. My recent experiences with opticians have felt more like going to a car dealership than receiving necessary healthcare. When I went here, they were completely different. The optician I worked with really helped me work out the most affordable option I could get. (Here's a hint, their contacts club is a really great deal. If you wear contacts, you will want to come here). The doctor I got was very straightforward. Some might not like that, but I have no problem with that personality. She was professional and thorough. I would highly recommend this place. There is finally a third choice besides pushy opticians and corrective surgery!

Amazing experience! I am not the best with doctors of any kind but the staff and doc were friendly, efficient, and welcoming. They answered every question I had and gave me undivided attention even at the end of a long day. I didn't even have my coat off before my exam started (thanks in part to being able to complete the intake paperwork electronically ahead of time). A vast collection of glasses to choose from and I was not at all pressured to purchase anything I didn't want. Lauren (I believe is who checked me out) was funny, informative, and professional. I can't wait to pick up my new glasses after the Thanksgiving holiday. Happy to find a provider close work as great you all!

Nice staff. Don't know why they made me wait an hr to do my 10 min eye exam. The examination was professional but the staff seemed overwhelmed. Got the feeling that I was pushed back in que because I didn't act like I was going to purchase after the exam, but this could be just me overthinking. Hope the location figures something out for expediting exam wait time because it hasn't improved since 2 yrs ago when I came in.

Dr. Llakatura was excellent. She was patient, knowledgeable, kind, and thourough while getting our prescriptions. In the front, we could clearly see the teamwork between the associates. Emma and LeeAnn were welcoming and made the entire process more enjoyable. Their efficiency and pleasant demeanors created an atmosphere that made us feel comfortable, like we were at home. My frames broke and I was going on a trip for a meeting in two days. So, I went here and everyone was very efficient and helpful. They told me that depending on the prescription, if they have the lenses, they can make it in a day. I also had to do a same day eye exam. They arranged for that and it happened that they had the lenses. There were other small details that they accommodated for also. When you go there, everyone seem to be very serious, but they really are very professional and very helpful. The optician that saw me was also very good. I will definitely suggest this place to my friends and go back there for my next eye exam and future glasses.

Richelle Pirokowski is be the BEST! Our family started coming here because, vision place.. after vision place... did not take the time to fit my son properly. My son has Downs Syndrome and it is hard to fit him with eyewear. I also have a petite head and glasses are hard to fit on me as well. Rachelle is like family now...Matt fills her in on all he's been up to while her and her staff adjust his glasses. He absolutely adores her.. Why??? Because she listens to him about what "He Wants" in Eyewear...he wants to be Cool And Stylish!!! And Rachelle time and time again "FITS him just right" He walks out with confidence, because not only is she awesome at her job! She has become his friend, confidont and builds up his self esteem. I have been a very satisfied customer for many years. Associates are knowledgeable about the products and offer just enough assistance to guide the customer to choose their frames. I find their suggestions to be sincere and helpful. (They tactfully tell you when it might be better to make another selection.) Eyeglass fittings are expertly done to ensure comfort & satisfaction. Likewise, they treat customers with courtesy if you stop in to get your glasses adjusted. Sometimes they get really busy but still take their time to serve the needs of each customer without appearing frazzled. Overall, this location of Empire Visionworks is well managed and provides a positive shopping experience!

Poor poor service..Professionalism is out the window...The Optometrist was rude..was not empathetic to my concerns...told me I'm black & older women & i already have two factors against me for glaucoma & cataracts...I ingored that because i know ppl can be ignorant..I picked out a pair of Skeechers frames...less than 2 weeks later frame design came off..brought them back.. Waas called in.. found Replacement frame..tried to inform two different times that it appears that design is lifted from frame...i was totally ignored...So..here I am again..returning the frame a week later...There are four associates in the store...for 20 minutes i tried to find another replacement frame...& in those 20 minutes. ..not one of the associates came to my assistance...& there was one other customer in the store...I GUESS THEY HAD BETTER THINGS TO DO BESIDES CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Tooo Bad...I have to give them a Star...But im rating my review on a negative negative zero!!

This is my first google review ever and Empire Visionworks earned it! I had a great experience here today. I had been seeing the same optometrist for years before I made an appointment with Empire Visionworks. I procrastinated making an appointment for an eye exam because I just got new insurance and thought the process would be time consuming or unpleasant. I was wrong. They were able to look my insurance information up over the phone which made things simple and hassle free for me. The store is welcoming, clean and a great atmosphere. The doctor I saw was exceptionally nice and professional. The appointment was straightforward and I was able to get contacts and a new pair of lenses, all for free/covered by insurance without even a copay. The general manager was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and let me take my time picking the frames I wanted without hovering at all. She also helped me pick which pair looked best when I couldn't make my mind up between two. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an outstanding eye care. I love this place!

Got eye exam and replaced lenses in two frames I already had. Was initially told it would take 10 days for lenses to arrive, but they arrived in 2 days! Was told I might have to wait 30 minutes without glasses since they had to replace the lenses, but they were done in only 10 minutes in the lab! I was all around pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality. Great job!

I found the staff extremely nice and they have a huge selection but the issue I had was it took me a long time to pick out a pair of glasses, when I went to pick up my contacts and glasses they told me they accidently put the frames back and I would have to pick out another pair It's very hard for me to find the time to sit and find a pair of frames I like. I have 4 babies at home so when I went to pick them up and found out my frames were put back accidentally I wasn't aware of this til I got there and had my 2 youngest with me children with me so I didn't have the time or patience to deal with the frames. So my feelings are mixed. I enjoyed the staff and selection but upset about my frames.

Very Good location with cordial staff, thorough exam and optometrist, and very good selection of frames (more than Sterling). Seemed clean and felt safe. You do have to book a while in advance for your exam due to another location closing, Back To School, Covid, etc, they do try and sell you more extra services a extra pair but are not pushy. It takes 2 weeks to get your glasses.

I don’t even know where to begin at this mess of a place: - Eye doctor seemed like she would rather be doing anything than giving an eye exam - Long wait time - I wanted to get contacts. They scheduled me for an insertion & removal class roughly 6 weeks out. The doctor had an accident and had to reschedule. They wanted me to wait another 6 weeks for an insertion & removal class. I had already paid for the contacts in full and didn’t think it was reasonable to have to wait that long. The general manager was very rude about the whole process and just ended up refunding me. I went to another eye doctor and was absolutely blown away when the same day as my eye exam they sat me down for an insertion & removal tutorial, and sent me home with a trial set for free. This made me realize how truly bad Empire Visionworks is. They do not care about the customers at all, just dollars.

Friendly and welcoming staff help to keep me coming back to this location. They also are very good at helping you stay within your insurance terms and inside of your desired price point. I've never had any issues finding what I want and in the price point I want! Repeat customer and would recommend.

Visionworks could improve just about everywhere as far as I'm concerned. Had an appointment on August 22. Being a Saturday I was told they would need to contact the insurance company to know for sure what they would cover as far as frames. They were supposed to phone me Monday, August 24. As of today August 31 I still have not received a phone call. Any attempts to call and speak to an actual person are futile. Currently on hold with the Niagara Falls Blvd. location and have been on hold for over 25 minutes!!! Save yourself time and frustration and go elsewhere. Worst service ever. Unbelievably ridiculous! Not happy at all. Not for nothing, the optometrist needs to learn some PR. PS...I hung up. Grrrrrr!! No stars earned!

Without question, the best experience I have ever had with regard to scheduling an eye exam as well as selecting new eyeglass frames. The friendly staff greets you as soon as you enter. My eye exam was thorough and professional. Eyesight is something that you do not want to neglect. I feel confident that the Dr. on staff who completed my eye exam was highly skilled and knowledgeable about the latest developments in eye care. I would highly recommend Empire Visionworks. The manager Rachelle is usually there and always makes sure that highest level of service is received.

I visited this Visionworks recently and had a very positive experience. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and the optometrist (Dr Dizazo) was very professional. She did a complete exam (vision check, dilation, the works) and explained everything carefully and clearly. This has not been my experience at other places, so was pleasantly surprised. Got my glasses within a week.

This is the third branch I have been to in recent years, and by far the best experience I've had. The doctor took time to go over my eyes in depth, explain my vision issues, and then even correct the initial prescription after the first contacts were just a tiny bit off from "right". The office staff was friendly, helpful, and got me my contacts ordered with minimal help. I lost the right lens for my trial pair, and they happily got me a replacement that morning! A different branch I had trouble even getting an appt let alone this level of service. I highly recommend this branch for glasses/contacts!!

The optician & exam were ok, the Vision Works staff are rude & tried to hustle me into buying 2 pair of glasses because they're running a sale. I'm part of the working poor $13.50 an hr. I don't have $60.00 for glasses and certainly don't have the $200.00 I was,quoted for 1 pair of glasses. BCBS Medicaid doesn't pay for progressive lenses but the taxpayers are paying for Viagra for prisoners and women's abortions.

I had come in almost a year ago to get contacts and they were able to help me get new lenses and sunglasses too!!! I forgot all about the lenses until today. So I stopped by and they helped me immediately and still had my things! Sadly my frames were so old that when they tried to pop the lenses out they popped. They were so wonderful dealing with that and allowing me to pick a new pair on them. I cannot thank the staff here enough for taking the responsibility for my broken frames and making sure I left with a new pair!!! Thank you!!!!

All of the staff in the front area were not friendly and a bit rude. This was supposed to be my first appointment with them and also my first time talking to a doctor about contacts. The originally scheduled appointment was scheduled to be in person with the doctor to discuss contacts. I received a voicemail saying the appointment got moved to telehealth. I tried calling and waited on hold for 45 minutes before giving up and figuring they knew what they were doing. When I showed up for my appointment all of the staff in the front were rude telling me that I was wrong, they don't do telehealth this late (6pm) and I misunderstood the voicemail and they had called me to cancel (I relistened to the voicemail and it 100% was just saying it was a telehealth appointment). Overall, it was not a great experience and I was only there for about 2 minutes total. They rescheduled me for a different day, but I'm definitely going to just cancel and go somewhere else.
