Poor service, poor selection, expensive. I had difficulty seeing with new glasses. I was told I needed to adjust to the new script. After 4 weeks of squinting through new glasses I called and was give an appointment for a re-test. When I arrived I was told there would be a $40 re-test fee. I refused to pay it. I was given test with lenses over my glasses and was told the script wasn't strong enough. 2 weeks later I am still waiting for my glasses. I would not ever go back and would not recommend to anyone.

Been going to Brighton Optical for about 10 years now - awesome place. I came in with no appointment after work today when a screw popped out of my glasses and one of the arms fell off. They had them fixed and realigned in ten minutes, no charge - on glasses I bought from them 5+ years ago. Great folks.

I came to Brighton Optical from a referral of a friend. The staff was not very friendly when making my appointment but I thought it was maybe they were busy. When I arrived for my appointment I did not feel very welcomed there. Then when it came to picking out my glasses ,it felt like they didn't really want to help me. I didn't let that stop me. I took my son there and he was treated the exact same way. We will not be going back there!!

Awful, the Sam guy attitude is extremely rude… Ironic from benning. I lost my baby girl weeks ago and my eyesight got worse so i went there. When i can't see clearly i have troubles hearing stuff. He kept satirizing my slow reaction and my looks. I hate myself! i even took his advice for showing my respect to him. Since he said i have no much nose(several times)for that frame design. even when i left, he said farewell in a weird tone. And he wrote a higher price than the tag. My husband found out and ask him to correct. He is again very rude..... Worst place ever!

Customer service has significant room to be improved. I have been a customer for 20 years and when I came in today I was informed on the spot if I planned to be able to order contacts they will charge an additional contact fitting fee of $30...twice my exam charge. I didn't come wearing my contacts, I never received notice of this office 'procedure change' by mail, when I scheduled, or when they called to confirm the appointment. It seems to me it was intentionally not mentioned so I had no choice but to pay it, and worse yet the reasoning for this new charge was because on line ordering has damaged their business. Sadly I will be no longer giving them my business- not solely for the change, for the callus way the change was implemented. I also was taken for my exam 30 minutes later than the scheduled time

This is the first time I've used Brighton Optical and I have to say it was a nice experience the wait wasn't long and Sam was the gentleman that did my glasses he also did my husband's glasses you can always go and have them adjusted have them fixed I would highly recommend them and Sam always listen to listen to your problems about your glasses and he tries to get them fixed as quickly as possible it was all around a good experience

We are a family of 5 and we all wear glasses!! Brighton Optical makes the whole process of eye examinations with Dr.Natalie (who is just the sweetest) and selecting glasses (my middles daughter is super happy because her frames are Lucky Brand) a breeze!! I just picked up my Ray Ban sunglasses that I had and Brighton Optical was able to put my prescription lenses in them!! They are amazing!!❤️❤️Highly recommend Brighton Optical!!

Very helpful. My daughter found frames she liked elsewhere. They ordered them for her at a competitive price, and we had the convenience of them close to for minor adjustments. They don't have the one day service of other commercial chains, but the wait is never more than a few days. Our extended family has frequently used Brighton Optical for years, and has never had a problem with an inaccurate prescription or with the service. I also haven't found the prices to be out of line with other places I have shopped, when comparing service to service or frame to frame.

I took my daughter to see Dave for a contact fitting. It was her first time and he was amazing. He was kind and patient. He explained everything and gave her room to figure out how to take them out and get them in all by herself without hovering and was still there for when we needed him. He then made sure I knew all of our options for purchasing without pressuring me to spend lots of money. I am so grateful that we got to take this step with Dave and would highly recommend going there to everyone!

They refused to give me my medical records or provide me with a way to get them. I was only provided with my prescription and a note about today's assessment. I was told I have no right to any other records including past visits and they won't give them to me.

The woman answering the phone is beyond unpleasant. Even if I'm returning their call, she has to nastiest way about her. I paid well over $400 for frames that were given to me with scratches all over.. when I went back to have them switched out the frames they were given back to me so stretched out they wouldn't even stay on my face. I was told it would take a couple of days to put new lenses in when I just watched them do it in 2 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous service, quality, and response times. WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Would give this place zero stars if I could. Oh and don’t take your elderly grandma in here. The guy (assuming the owner) had absolutely no patience for her questions and not so quickly decision with her glasses choice. Was absolutely beyond rude with her and I wish she didn’t give him a penny. I’ll be sure to pass the word along to Facebook and let them know to NOT bring your business to this establishment. I mean really, who has respect for someone that had no patience or heart for an 86 yr old woman. I will continue to spread the word on the reasons why not to go here. Thanks!

What a scam this place is. They want to charge $30 a year for a "contact evaluation" and $50-$90 a year for a "contact fitting". These are on top of the $ they are making on exams and are not covered by insurance. The reason they aren't covered by insurance is that they are wholly unnecessary. They asked if I still wanted to have my eye exam there...haha, why would I give business to someone that is trying to rip me off? Go anywhere else.

I have never had such a run around. My husband and I went into Brighton optical on July 15 th . We had to wait about 45 minutes for them to contact our insurance. After we were told they spoke with our insurance and they knew what was covered and shared that information with us we were allowed to pick out our glasses. We were told we should have them back in a week.I received a call that my husbands were done mine were not. A week later I called to check on mine no information on them. Later that day they called back mine were done I was then told my insurance doesn’t cover anything we were responsible for the full price. I had told them I waited 45 minutes they said we were covered.Sam told me he was not able to get in touch with my insurance that day.I then called my insurance and had them call and speak with Sam. A week later called again now they just submitted it August 9? Still no news it is now August 20th. Five weeks now. I will be calling just to get my scripts back Monday. I do not recommend this business they are rude and Not knowledgeable at all. Completely horrible service. Avoid this business. I have no idea how they can even stay open.

My 1st time at Brighton Optical and must say I recommend them! Very clean, very thorough, less painful (aka evil dilation drops) and less expensive than where I was going! Staff was awesome and although I may have driven the glasses girl nuts with changing my mind she never wavered! I will be going back!
