It's been a a few years since my last visit, as my vision is fairly stable. I don't need to change lenses every year. I will say that they treated me well here. I think the only thing I recall not liking is that their selection was small. Some places like Stanton also offer a slightly better discount for buying glasses. But I had a less than desirable experience after doing business with them once. So if I were to get glasses again I would stick with America's best.

I had a appointment for contacts and eye exam that I made on line. When I called to confirm and ask questions about my insurance and information on their procedures the girl who I spoke to on the Sheridan Drive location (Sam ) was so rude as soon as I told her what insurance I had. Where do they get off being so rude! Zero customer service skills!! Will never recommend this place! Your there to serve the Customer NOT the other way around!
After experiencing this Americas "best" I had to see the reviews. Of course everyone here has the same problem I did. Horrible customer service at the front desk. I had an appointment for 1:10 that I was late for and that's my fault but to be rude and have a nasty tone of voice when rescheduling me to spend money at your store is beyond crazy to me. I will gladly take my money elsewhere. I don't see how they stay in business
The eye doctor was very nice. The customer service from employees was not at all. The woman who took me in to do my eye testing before seeing the doctor was in a rush. I was with my 2yo daughter as well as being a full almost 9 months pregnant, so i had to be aware of her as well. The much older woman(short white hair) who had taken care, of taking my money was very rude. With her demeaning attitude, making comments to and about my daughter. All the while I didn't make a comment on asking her if my insurance was accepted there. which I should've focused on since they go different ways. I guess I will just visit americas best to finish out the 3 years of exams. They didn't take my insurance either. I should have just went to sterling optical, as i initially planned on doing.
got my prescription way off, and wouldn’t put the right prescription in the glasses that i ordered.
The doctor was nice, the employees don't really engage or offer help, I had to ask, not really a problem necessarily. Only real problem I had was they didn't confirm my insurance at the beginning of the appointment , was told by the doctor they do accept my insurance, and then the workers told me theu don't and I ended up paying $70 out of pocket.
Very good place to buy glasses, soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly person. I'm a repeat customer.
This place was a joke. The optometrist or whatever they are called is outta her mind she told md my vision is EXTREMELY high which it is but not high enough to have s lense a quarter in a half inch thick lawl Dont go here
Horrible customer service. Whomever answers the phone needs to be trained in how to speak to customers. Also we waited over a month for them to send a copy of a what the prescription was... we never received it. Then they wouldn't email it. Get with the times. Learn how to send an encrypted email.
This is repeatedly the worst customer service I have encountered ever. I regret paying for 3 years of eye exams in advance..... They speak to customers with no respect. It wasn't until I told an employee that I didn't appreciate her tone that she settled down from her previous demeaning tone. After spending a day at work and coming to an eye exam, the last thing I am expecting is to be disrespected..... Completley unprofessional.
Horrible customer service! They are extremely rude from the moment you walk in, then they just stare at you instead of being helpful! I've been here several times and each time all of the customer service at front desk were rude, nasty, and unprofessional! I'm Taking my business elsewhere after today I've had enough! No excuse for this behavior! See for yourself at the Sheridan location! However there are a couple of nice gentlemen here but that's it!!
Scheduled an appointment online for the same day. Upon arrival the storefront was clean and well kept, ans there was a lot of staff arround assisting patients. Everyone was polite. I was seen quickly by the staff as well as the doctor. I was well informed along the way. The doctor recomended cheaper contact lenses than what I was given by another optician. I was very pleased.
I brought my daughter here because she needs glasses. They had a nice selection for her to choose from and the prices were reasonable. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
I walked in for my appointment and the receptionist at the desk told me there were no doctors available for me and i'd have to reschedule....needless to say after leaving work early and rushing there i never came back in

We have nothing but good to say about the staff and service we received at Americas Best. We were greeted as we came thru the door for our appointment, guided thru the process and exams in a very timely manner... and walked out extremely satisfied with our experience. We were told that the 2 pairs of glasses ordered would take 7 to 10 business days to be ready. We received a call in less than 4 business days to let us know that the order was complete!!! The cost of the exam, 2 pair of glasses and 2 cases were less than the cost of an eye exam back home in Canada! It was a great part of our day trip to the US! Thank you again! We will recommend your store to our friends.
I purchased eyewear there a month ago, and called in to get help with a repair and was rudely spoken to and talked at by the associate Sam. Her tone and overall professionalism to someone that's always used America's Best for my own and my family's eye care very disappointed. Something needs to be done.
Yesterday was my first visit ever,I took broken glasses to this place they fixed it in 25 minutes for free.I would love to give them business off course who did great job for me not cuz of free but all staff was very nice with me like I felt I am coming here since last twenty years...very friendly staff...I would recommend those people who had bad experience in past must go there to give them at least one more chance.thanks for reading.

I walked in 12:30 pm and came out 1 pm with my eyeglass prescription and two glasses being prepared with a set date of one week or so. I was greeted at the door and kindly assisted to choose frames. There selection is wide and all dependent on your budget. I was not charged anything extra other than the vision exam I chose to take which I was asked first if I wanted to take (additional 15$). Highly recccomend this place for those looking to get two pairs of glasses and an eye exam for all under 90$ . ????
I had a great experience. I came in with my husband to get glasses. They had a record of my last visit (5 years ago), my insurance information prepared, and were friendly. Our appointment time was honored. Everything was explained well during the eye appointment. We were able to take our time selecting frames and the salesperson was honest and helpful. Not all pushy about add ons. I will continue to come back.
I have more issues with this company with my glasses. The lens seem to be cheaply made. I spend over 300.00 for these glasses, I have a hard time with the progressive lens. They kept saying give them a chance well it's been a year later, chances have expired and I will look elsewhere.
I was referred to this place by a friend, Expecting the best,but as soon as I walked In a receptionist not too welcoming put my expectations down immediately.. I never ask for an appointment for a routine eye on the same day , but the first thing that came out of her mouth was that they did not have anything available till next week, witch I responded straight that I did not care !! And her answer was well ...there are people than care ... she was ready to set up an appointment but I thought... why to make an appointment at this place when just getting to the door was a negative, unwelcome and unpleasant experience!! Turn my back and I said ... never mind and thank You Very much!! Got in my car and drove over Visionworks!! What a difference!! Yes I will take me 3 weeks to be seen, but they were amazing and polite since the moment that I walked through that door.

i am satisfied with everything. it is a little far for me to drive, but the glasses (2 pr.) that i bought are very good. but expensive when you start adding extras. i would recommend Americas best.
Not sure I liked anything about this place. They arent friendly, they're not helpful, it's hard to get information out of them. Too many good options to return to this place.
First time I've been here. Had a very short wait. Maybe 10 minutes while they disinfected the exam room. Everyone was nice. Had a good selection of frames in many price ranges. Overall a good experience. Might change to five stars once I see how the pick up and fitting of my new glasses goes.
Well had an appointment in February. Was given a new prescription. I couldn't see out of the contacts properly called them. Went back in the eye dr was not very considerate about the situation. Actually had a little bit of an attitude. Then started working with one of the people out front about my glasses. I order 2 pairs and boy was that an ordeal in itself. Originally the woman had my bill well over 400 dollars and then I realized she had put all of these additional things in them that I didnt want nor needed so I was able to get my bill down to just over 200. Then i get the glasses and can't see out of them. I go back a 3rd time and the guy tells me he is going to order different lenses for my glasses. Havent heard from them since and I currently have 2 pairs of glasses with 2 different prescriptions in them and cant really see properly out if either pair and my eyes hurt all the time now and I am out the money and cant use my insurance again for another 2 years. Dont know what I am even going to do just so I can see properly.
Very rude people. They say at reception and talked poorly of people right in front of everyone. Very unwelcoming. And seemed like they didn’t want to be there.
I love my glasses and contacts I have been a customer for years. The doctors are great and the Gentleman who I believe is the manager is awesome. However, the staff is horrible. No customer service skills whatsoever, NONE. When you call or come in its like you are bothering them. I called to inquire about an upcoming appointment and it was attitude from beginning to the end of the conversation. My daughter went in the room for the pre test before you go in to see the doctor where they have you read the eye chart, etc. The girl was so rude and bothered during the whole process. Please, when you hire staff remember that personality has a lot to do with importance of a job as well as experience. These employees are not sending a good reflection of your business.

There are far too many one star reviews due to "poor customer service". As a 10 year employee of the former Wilson Farms convenient stores, I have a good grasp on what retail employees need to do. Wilson Farms corperate folks thought so, too, & I earned the "employee of the year" award in 2009. I was given a nice plaque & a $1000. There is absolutely a distinct air of slight indifference and a bit of assembly line management of customers here. My optometrist was excellent, a very nice man who obviously knew his job. The other employees seemed a bit indifferent and it was "get the job done", thank you, goodbye. Love my new glasses.
I picked up my new glasses today and the progressives are wrong in the left eye. The lady was in a hurry and my mother noticed when she marked the lines on the glasses they were off. Yes they are wrong. I will go back for one remake. If they are wrong again I want a full refund.
I've been going here for years. The staff is great. They are reasonably priced. When my glasses aren't exactly right they have new ones made and let me keep the bifocals that weren't perfect. They even mail glasses to me in Israel at their expense.
The exam was ok and the staff seemed nice....but got quoted one price on the phone for contacts, got there and the price was more than double what I got quoted. The information given to me on the phone wasn't even accurate either; the contract lenses were sold in different amounts than what was previously offered. I'll go elsewhere next time.
I haven't been to see in eye doctor in years so when I started having issues I needed somewhere that was open on Saturday. I was able to be seen that same Saturday I needed an appointment and not having insurance I thought it would be expensive. I will recommend everyone I know to come here. The staff was so nice and knowledgeable. From the receptionists through to the doctor and having someone give me their honest feedback about how the glasses looked I was so impressed. My glasses only took a week to come in and they were fitted quickly when I came to pick them up. It also didn't break the bank. Thank you!
I got turned away at the door after having an appointment for weeks. I was honest while answering the covid 19 screening questions, one of them being have I been around anyone under investigation for covid 19? I told them that I'm a critical care nurse and that we rule out people for covid every day and we use PPE. The girl at the door was very rude and seemed angry that she had to walk all the way to the doctor to inquire about this. She returned to tell me that they would not see me. This place spits in the faces of all healthcare workers and incentivizes people to lie during screening questions. I paid a sitter to watch my child for this appointment. Now i have to find a new eye doctor's office. I've been to all other appointments, including the dentist, with no problems. I could easily have worn a mask throughout my entire appointment. America's best has lost my business.
My glasses hinge fell off within 4 months, which I’ve never had a problem with before. Went in to state that I’m disappointed in the product that I spent more money on just for quality. The guy did not let me get my complaint out and just explained it away. My glasses are still messed up, they’re not even and don’t fit my face right. Not going here again.
