I'm not sure if anyone remembers those commercials for the village mall back in the 90s...well the place is a little downhill since then; I used to love going to the fountain and throwing pennies in there (cant even get pennies now - thank you very much government of canada), but now there's not even a fountain to sit near and talk with friends anymore. Retailers are still surviving I guess, if not coming and going. It's a shade of what it used to be but it's still there and you can still spend money. By definition it's still a mall

A more relaxed shopping experience than elsewhere in town with generally lower prices. The area is always and security is in plain view. Even if not shopping the food court is a great place for lunch or a quick supper.

Wired people and exspnsive not at all like the exsprience that you had as a kid walking around Sears was where home hardware is and extended into Rossi and also down into sports check. When I was a kid the place was like Wonderland. They even had an awesome fountain that used to spray up to the ceiling. Now all they got is weird security.

Sad this place was a gem, it could really be brought back but there is too much in the Avalon mall. If this place had a winners, American Eagle, and am H&M it probably could have turned around. I don't even shop either very often, that is just a Newfie observation. I don't see it surviving. I anticipate it will close in the next 5-8 years. I mean how many hardware stores do you see in a mall???? It's clean and modern just not well managed to compete with the Avalon mall, in a location that is not growing and min away from the other. I don't live in Paradise, CBS, or Galway but that would make more sense, for a location business wise.

The mall is clean and modern, but as of September 2020 there are quite a few empty locations. The stores that are there represent a good variety, from Dollarama 2 Sport Chek. The food court has a good variety of choices. There is A&W burgers, Mary Brown's Fried Chicken, Chinese food place, and more.

Very poor operation of a shopping mall. Since the coronavirus, all benches were removed, leaving nowhere to sit. It's especially hard on seniors. One poor senior I saw had to lean heavily on a garbage can as she needed to rest and couldn't continue walking. Benches can be spaced far apart, and very important for your senior shoppers. And also there is no wifi available for shoppers. I think this is the only large retail store in the city that does not have free wifi. Time for the management of the Village Mall to step up and welcome shoppers, not turn them away.

Lots of parking and offers a good assortment of clothing stores mostly tailored towards lady fashions. Mall is clean and bright. Thankfully never overcrowded. It is a good location to go and not be swamped by shoppers. With a major hardware store along with a top retailer in sporting apparel you can get most of your shopping needs throughout this mall. Don't forget the food court!

It's quieter than it ever was; personally I like there not being loads of people around, although how long can The Village survive with so few people shopping? The food court has fewer tables all spread out, and it seems the stores are trying desperately to get people to spend their money. I got some great deals :) at Stokes, who are closing that location :( soon.

A bit dated, but a lovely calm and welcoming place with a decent selection of stores. The things that really set it above the avalon mall are the niche places at the foodcourt, the massive sports store, and the equally massive bed/bath store. If you're going for christmas shopping I'd do the Avalon Mall instead, but for a more calm and controlled shopping experience, the Village is lovely. It has also never had the parking issues that have plagued the Avalon (which now has a parking garage but still).

Watched her treat staff and customers that were not her friends horrible . I will not be going back to watch that circus . The mall itself is great lots of options for food and retail . Cleaning staff are quick & efficient when it comes to sanitizing tables vacated by customers. Trash recepticals emptied on regular basis to ensure we have room to dump our empties. The Village Mall evokes a nostalgic feeling deep within. There is a constant mystery in its existence. I am reminded of Soviet Russia. Somehow it is dead but very much alive. The wide and almost empty corridors ring echos of a more prosperous time. No matter which entry way you choose, rest assured you will be welcomed be a veil of cheap cigarette exhale and some serious scowls. This all adds to the charm and continues to be a reason why I return. Lots of toilets. Thumbs up.

Sorry to see it in decline. Used to be a nice mall. Now looking run down with a couple of vacant locations, a couple of cheap bargain stores, and there are better shopping options.

The mall is fairly old. If you are looking for a mall in St. John's then the Avalon is the best bet.

Village Mall is mainly have many boutique shops with a few anchors like Dollarama, Rossy, urbanplanet and Spotcheck. The food court is quite decent. Ample parking spot closer to mall.

Unfortunately, the owners of this mall have no desire for it to be great. Stores are closing up shop and leaving. The Village mall is becoming a ghost town.

All I have to say is " WHERE IS THERE A BENCH TO TAKE A REST WHILE SHOPPING???? Like seriuosly I do understand physical distancing but The Avalon mall didn't do this . In soooooo much pain trying to get shopping done and NOWHERE to sit?? Ridiculous. Don't ever take an elderly senior citizen there or anyone that may need to take a little breather and have a quick rest ..especially with breathing problems or the floor it is . That's almost where I ended up only for I had to leave immediately to get to my car so I could rest my legs and knees. Will not give this place 1 star.
