This was my second visit to a Dominion store, the first one was in Mount Pearl, too quick to generate a true opinion until I got the opportunity to have a full grocery shopping experience at Smart Centres. The produce and offering was fresh and very varied, surprised to find certain offerings not available in Quebec. Prices, as I've noticed over the past 21 months, have significantly increased due to the inflation driven by the pandemic all across the board. The experience was sometimes stressful since some shoppers were not wearing masks at all, others only covered the mouth only leaving the nose exposed and others wore it blatantly over the chin with no regards towards other people and evidently not socially distancing, also witnessed these sort of people not sanitizing their hand at the entrance of the store. I understand that following and enforcing hygiene rules and regulations is tiring and challenging, though we're in the middle of an evolving pandemic that come this winter will be more challenging than ever. Shop smart, shop with kindness, vaccinate and follow the rules for everybody's sakes!

The customer service is horrible EVERY. DANG. TIME. Why are the employees so crabby? Trying to get their attention at the food takeout counter or salad/meat deli takes forever and they ignore you (particularly the older ladies). There are two supervisors there that I dread having to speak to: They are rude and unhelpful. Also...the produce has remained terrible for years. When I buy produce at dominion, it has become moldy or wilted within a day. I do not buy produce here anymore. Not even the points or sales are an incentive to purchase here anymore.

I moved here recently for school and I shopped around for groceries. I found that if you're looking for the best prices per unit of measure, dominion is the best bet. You don't get the best quality, but you get the best price. Produce is hit and miss, which is no different than Sobeys or Walmart. Meat is excellent, especially when you get a sale. I'm a student so Im forced to shop cheap. They have 50% off racks of produce and bread usually which is awesome. They go overkill on the tags though, some are large and bright, which if you aren't paying attention, they usually don't mean the item is on sale. They usually mean it's just an everyday value or a multiple buy. Fresh bread is great, and the staff are great. One last thing, just pay attention when they ring your items through, some of the sales are missed in the system. Just mention it was on sale and they make the adjustment.

This is the worst Dominion I've entered in many years. The store looked untidy and not well maintained. Many of the cooler and freezer doors kept falling open and most of them had gaps between the doors, the seals broken, shredded and in disrepair. Don't know how they'll keep milk or other perishable products fresh. The only reason I give it 1 star was because the clerk who served me was kind, helpful professional and polite.

October 17 2018 first day of legal marijuana. Went to the Dominion to see what was happening line ups were not crazy. Staff was quick but not exactly knowledgable. It was just before 9:00pm as we entered the store and went straight to the bakery. On the way to the bakery we saw an employee head into the back and not return. There were premade cupcakes we wanted but no one in sight. After waiting a few minutes another employee (who didn’t seem too impressed we asked for assistance) told us they were closed and didn’t get us the cupcakes. Seemed like they didn’t want to help us at all or make the sale. We didn’t bother asking anyone else for help as we kinda mind-blown over the poor customer service. We then went to Walmart where we got what we wanted and there were employees still available to help.

Upon entering the store, there were only 4 "small" carts available. We had to walk around the store looking for a cart that could seat a baby. The next thing that was awful was the washrooms. My 4 year old had to use the washroom, the stench I'm the females washroom was terrible. I don't think anyone had checked the washrooms in a while, there was tissue in each unflushed toilet. Even my 4 year old was disgusted by this. If she wasn't about to pee I'm her pants we would have waited to go home. To top all of this trip to dominion off.. my little girl wanted to look at the lobsters. There were 2 in the tank deceased. Nobody around the seafood section to clean them out. This dominion has to be the grossest one I have visited ever.

Worst shopping experience since the pandemic, Staff at entrance was not social distancing from customer i was surrounded by staff and a customer while getting a cart and when i spoke up about people having to distance from each other i was told to shut my mouth by the customer while the staff there said nothing...when i was leaving i questioned the staff member there why he let what happened happen without saying anything or enforcing the rules, he basically said it was just as mush my fault...plus inside the store the staff were definitely paying no attention to the social distancing whatsoever...last time i ever go there...
