My husband and I were in and talked to Joe about a 2 for 1 deal they had on, and we chose a frame each and received a reasonable quote. We came back a week later while they still had the sale on and grabbed the frames we had previously picked out (and received a quote for) and told the woman working we'd like to get these . She told us one of them wasn't on the 2 for 1 deal, it apparently had to have a special sticker on it... which we were never told in the first place. We told her oh we have a written quote from Joe from a week ago, and she wouldn't honor it and gave us no other option. After going home I called the store to get the head office number, called head office and left a message to which I still haven't received a call back. The woman from the Visions store called me after getting my number from caller ID and was obviously nervous that I had called head office and she asked what the problem was. I said we expected Visions to honor the original written quote from Joe... she put me on hold then came back to tell me about another deal she could do for us... still over $200 past the original quote. What's the point of a quote? To sum up a detailed story... we were given a false quote, ignored by head office, and were definitely treated like our business wasn't needed there. We wasted two shopping trips and still don't have new glasses. I would never recommend anyone shopping here.

Took a long time to get my glasses. First pair needed to be sent back because they broke them so I had to wait another 3 weeks.... They could have used a faster shipping service seeing as they broke the glasses but chose to lose a customer instead

Not impressed whatsoever. Not only can they NOT give you one hour service( try almost a week) But when I did receive my glasses the nose pad came off withing a few hours. GARBAGE ! Overpriced as well, This is an old way of getting your prescription glasses. I am going back to getting mine online ! Just to add a note,they fixed the nose pad.But I'm not going back.Just to add to this : the screw that holds the glass itself came off. Went back and was told I had to tighten all the screws every week ? Absolutely not! Been wearing glasses since 1968 ! Never Ever been told that ! Avoid this place .

I bought glasses here because i heard good things but i have had nothing but bad experiences, after buying a set of frames and 3 sets of lenses they then proceed to tell me that they've been putting in the wrong lenses and thats why they keep breaking, but they wont do anything about it, then the nose piece breaks off my glasses and they tell me that they are not repairable and i need new frames or have to wear them the way they are. So even though they have screwed me out of hundreds of dollars they tell me using my lens warranty with new frames wouldnt be worth my time and i should buy a whole new set. After i had just bought another brand new set of lenses 3 months ago. Will never go back

I was there last week on a short trip with my wife, to replace her glasses, she needs special eye glasses that change with the light. since we are returning customers, we were helped by the manager herself, and we had a really good experience! the Glasses were done very quickly, and we pick them 3 days later. Which was awesome because we needed to travel abroad, The manager helped us out with every resource in her hands, the eyeglasses were adjusted after my wife got an eye exam at the same location. kudos to the workmanship and manager helpfulness, I recommend this place!

I never leave reviews, but after 2 visits I can say that the customer service here is absolutely appalling. The staff I have dealt with can barely operate the computer, move at a glacial pace, and are rude.

Have to say I have never given a 1 star rating before but here I go. All the staff at this location are great except for the manager. I paid almost $1000for very nice hugo boss glassesbut they broke within the first month and the manager has been doing nothing but giving me the run around! If I didn't call once a week, I'd never hear from her!!! I will never go back to this store again and would have to warn others to stay away. All that the manager needs to do is be honest and look after customers. Please quit lying and wasting my time and money. Worst experience ever! Replying to the comment below ... I have been told this would be taken care of for weeks but the manager of the store does nothing but ignore. Worst experience ever with this store. I will soon just contact head office myself Still waiting for resolution. Not one call from store! Called today to grab my prescription for some new glasses only to find out the terrible manager that used to work here deleted all my info/files and prescription ... unethical to say the least. Won’t ever go back here

Joe managed to manually cut my lenses from an old frame into an incredibly tight new frame even though other optical stores nearby said it was too risky and they wouldn't be able to do it. A master craftsman.

Great service, while I tryed on some sunglasses, I felt a little hungry. It was a few hours since I ate and I could feel the growls coming on. The short girl noticed I was weak from starvation and promptly got on the phone to order me a pizza and crazy bread from Little Ceasars just down the way. Knowing I was short on time, I was unable to call for a dentist appointment....bam..she called and made me an appointment for me as well...with Dr. Payne, local dentist in the area. Needless to say, I didnt buy any sunglasses but Im full of pizza and cavity free. Thank you Vision Optical.

Worst workmanship ever. The grooves cut into the lens were not uniform. One lens was done properly done by machine. The other seemed they did it by hand almost as grooves were way off. As a result the lens did not fit into the frame and huge gap was easily noticeable. They blamed the machine. I had them do it again, and same story they blamed the machine. Except this time they said they couldn't see any defects. And started playing this mind game as if I was the only one who was seeing this (implying I was the crazy one). Then this person got the colleague to join in on the whole "I don't see any defects" Eye Glasses workmanship requires precision. I took the pair of defective cut glasses to another shop they adjusted it best they could for free and told me it wasn't machine cut like they claimed, but likely did it manually and screwed up by cutting the lens .5 (of the measurement they use) too much therefore created a gap, and the groove cut for the wire was closer to one edge which is why it didn't fit properly. It looks much better after the other shop adjusted it and now is only noticeable with close inspection but good enough for me. After all it's just a pair of glasses. I would never go back to this place nor would I recommend anyone to go here. Seems they only want a quick wham bam thank you man style approach of business to their customers. And if customers complain, they make them feel as if they're at fault and crazy. Worst experience ever. I hope this will save you time and money to shop around as there are hundreds of places to go than give business to people like these. And the other colleague has some serious temper issues. First and foremost i want to say i am happy proud to be a longstanding Vision's continuing customer! 5 top reasons i continuing to come- Top quality customer service- Thank you Joe! And Keliopi and Kathy! 2- 2/1 deals- glasses and sunglasses for price one or getting my benefits to pay most i can get so i pay least! Workers ensure i pay least 3- workers never let me leave looking Fugly 4- Affordable rates! Who can truthfully afford 6-800$ for pair frames?+lens? Not me! I met someone on street- paid more tripple for same frames-he asked me where i got mine soo cheap! I proudly told him! Visions! 5- I love walking in and out- feeling good- knowing i made right decision and feeling like i am part of a family feel business-its not- no pressure to buy- some places drive you bonkers to buy! Today was inside cuz glasses case broken asked get new one and kaliopi went out way look for new one-got large glasses- she found one for me- & she even reminded me- you your eye exam to get done-seeing your specialist?! Its been 3 years! I been to pavans used to be on 6&6 felt like walking in a low grade lots of pressure Been to haikam'? at lougheed mall another one lots issues! Visions keeps my business Cant wait for another 15+ years service! No matter where i live! Thanks you guys

Once re opening following pandemic, stopped by to ask for a cloth glass cleaner. The woman asked if I purchased glasses from them and i repled that I had done so for 23 yrs and named the two individuals that had assisted me. She said "Well normally we charge for this" I have never paid for this in my 40 yr history of wearing glasses. I will not be returning and my friends recommended a place around the corner with excellent ratings.

I have been going to Visions Optical for years...I have always found the staff wonderful and helpful...BUT this puts the icing on the cake. I took my daughters "broken" glasses into be fixed...I was told that they are far to broken to be fixed. They replaced them at no charge!! Being a single mom of 2 kids on disability I was overwhelmed with gratitude and highly recommend Vision Optical. they are the bomb!!

I want to thank the whole team but especially that young lady who helped me picking my frames. She really knows her job and for that picking the frames was easy and without any stress. I cannot see that well without glasses but she had a great feel for what I wanted. She also convinced me to get polarized lenses for my sunglasses and they are perfect. The experience with Dr. Chen was easy going and he explained everything and was very patient. When I was picking up my glasses the gentleman helping me took the time to explain everything and adjusting the glasses. He also said to come back if I am experiencing any difficulties with the new glasses. I felt very much taken care of and I sure will go back. And a bonus was that I got the buy one get the second for free deal. Thanks again.

Bought two pairs of glasses here and was approximately $500 per pair, first pair broken in two weeks, the hinge of the frame came off, they replaced it. and the second pair broken in 2 months due to same reason and this time they said they do not cover these in their warrantee and it was my fault they are broken that I must have done something wrong. Their staff was so certian that I broken it as if she saw me use it every day.

I got this pair of glasses prepared on the go a week ago. It had been a while since i got my old glasses and it was time to get my eyes renovated! Thanks to the manager of the store who went above and beyond to get them in time! Best Store ever! as usual.

Staff are rude and unknowledgeable. Was cut off by the receptionist so she could take a long personal call. Proceeded to give me an enormous quote without looking at what my benefits would cover. Seemed to have no clue how the computer system worked. Attempted to sell unnecessary services. Prices are much higher than anywhere else I've been. And when I said I would take my business elsewhere she told me I had "wasted her time" Go anywhere else

I am writing this review as I have not had a good experience with Vision Optical, There's a gal there named " khalipe"...she's totally rude to my girlfriend. I would NEVER go back to this place nor would I recommend anyone to go here.No one knows what to do there. fourt months ago my girlfriend and I visited that store looking for her new glasses . First time she received her glasses: there was a defect in the lens and they kept insisting "her eyes will adjust". They even asked to have her prescription re-checked then they said they will remake it and she waited a week for them to give us glasses that had peeling antireflective coating. The third time remaking them the frame was messed up and they couldn't fix it. The fourth time they remade them: the lens is obviously very low quality as it has obvious peripheral distortion. This pair of glasses cost about 700 dollars and is the high index, anti-reflective anti-glare lens. Very horrible service.
